Honeymoon plans shouldn’t include space cruise tickets for a party of five.
After the wedding--and the Ice Dame's corporate exploitation of the event--Triana and O'Neill embark on their honeymoon, only to find Hy-Mi booked them on a CelebVid cruise to Armstrong along with Vanti, Elodie, and Leo.
When the jump to Armstrong throws Triana and O'Neill across the multi-verse, they must outsmart alternate versions of their friends, a lunatic professor and his corporate sponsor, and a cargo hold full of egg-throwing rodents if they hope to return to their own reality.
Author of the Colonial Exploration Corps, Space Janitor, Recycled World, and Krimson Empire series.
I grew up in the US Pacific Northwest, and after twenty years roaming the country with the US Air Force, I'm back. I have a spouse, three kids, and a dog named Pippin.
I've been an IT guy, a choir director, an executive assistant, a stay-at-home mom, a college instructor, and that lady at the information booth in a tourist town. But writer is the best job ever, because I get to make stuff up. Stuff I wish were true; stuff I'm glad isn't true.
When I'm not writing, I like to knit, read, bake, and ski. I also love to travel.
A well written, hilarious, but still great sci-fi book. I used to like serious sci-fi, but totally changed my attitude in the last few depressing years. I turned to Julia's novels, which both satisfy my sci-fi cravings, and amuse me, distracting me from any problems. In addition, the characters are great, well written, and these books are very original - not like anything I have read in my long years of reading this genre. This particular book tells the story of Triana's honeymoon, which we could have guessed wouldn't go quite as plan. Exactly how off-plan it would go even had me surprised! There were multiple issues! This book follows other ones written about Triana, former the Space Janitor, but each book is unique, and there are no cliffhangers! How wonderful. It would be possible to read this as a standalone, but you will appreciate it even more if you read them in order.
Yet another great read in this series of books, it's never easy even when you are off on your honeymoon. Triana and O'Neill things go wrong from the start, but then the fun begins. I had the pleasure of receiving the book as part of the authors ARC team.
I'm always excited with another Space Janitor book as well as with any in the Space Janitor universe. What happened to Ty and Triana wasn't what I expected but was quite good. I don't understand why it happened only to them though aside from being in the same room. It would have been an interesting twist to discover that it happened to more than just them.
Having Vanti as an equal viewpoint was new and refreshing. What Triana did in the end makes a good resolution on her choices in life regarding her mother. I still think there's something suspicious about Apawllo :)
I'm not a fan of the title but it's better than dropping the "Bulbs" part. I'm somewhat disappointed that Ty and Triana didn't have a honeymoon but that will probably be saved for the next series.
NO BODY COUNT! NO DOOM AND DESTRUCTION!! Ok, there is a little destruction... I love Triana, and Changing gives us a Vanti viewpoint that is ultimate Vanti. I have to admit I'm not a huge fan of alternate universe stories, but Huni does a fantastic job, and I really enjoyed this one. There are laugh out loud moments, Elodie is fun, and the quockoas and cat steal the story. I'm excited to see how the new romance develops and what adventures the future holds.
Wow. This is a very different entry in this series and I'm not quite sure what to think about it. A blip in the multiverse and some of our characters find themselves in a parallel universe, struggling to make sense of the changed personalities and events around them while, of course, trying to figure out how to get home again.
It was equally jarring for me, the reader, to accept the very different behavior of people I "knew" previously. It was interesting as a sort of exploration of how our decisions can change our lives and the lives of those around us, but....
I dunno.

Alternate reality tales are often confusing to me. This was no exception. The character name at the beginning of each chapter helped but jumping back and forth to keep two story lines going was more exhausting than enjoyable to read. I have come to expect more humor from this series. Maybe I was just too confused by this segment.
Wow! This is a honeymoon gone awry. Between an overbearing mother trying to control all aspects of the wedding, bodyguards, spies, and body snatchers, this book is one that is hard to put down. The characters are great! The plot is outstanding as is the world building. I enjoyed the book very much and would recommend it.
Triana, former space station janitor and now acknowledged heir to galactic-scale wealth, embarks on a honeymoon trip that sends her and her pals into an alternate universe where everyone’s moral values are even more askew than they are in the original. I have enjoyed previous books in this series more than this one. Alternate universes are just too easy these days.
Let me be clear up front: these are seriously good books.
This one wasn’t quite as engaging, but i have to give props to the author for keeping things straight as she wrote it. I got a headache and had to back up several times.
These books are just fun to read. This one was a little bit more difficult to follow, however, since it involves parallel universes and corresponding characters in both universes proceeding along parallel tracks. Plus, unlike the previous books, much of this book is written from the first person perspective of one of the other characters, not just the main character Annabelle/Triana.
A bit confusing but I got with the flow halfway through!
After spending a good deal of the book trying to figure out who was who and what happened, it suddenly clicked an the story took shape. Yes, I want more!
this time out the Authoress has made life difficult for her self by crossing into pan dimensional writing, the book is split between the two main characters, chapter by chapter, it could have gone wrong very easily, but it was carefully crafted, a good and entertaining addition to the run.
Triana, Ty, and the rest of the team make a routine jump from one space station to another. After the jump some of the team find themselves in an alternate universe and try to figure out how to get back. A great story.
I enjoyed all the books in the series and look forward to more. I thought seeing the events through Vanti’s eyes was a great idea and look forward to more of these too.
Good Story Telling, mostly familiar - & Likable - Characters, Interesting presentation of whole concept of Reality Jumping. I did find the Shifts between Perspectives somewhat difficult to track with but it did Further the Character Building
The turn of events leave your head spinning, and at the same time bring interest. The confusion that the characters feel, bring you along for the ride. Enjoy this very entertaining tale.
This is in a series Tales of a former Space Janitor. This series begins immediately after Space Janitor series (4 books) There are 6 books in the second series - all pick up right after the previous one ends.
see complete review for both series in the last book Warp, Rinse, Repeat.
Triana, Ty/Griz, Vanti and others get to explore some what-ifs with lots of plot twists and adventure. A fun addition to the Former Space Janitor series.
Julia Huni does it again with another great read. Continues the adventures of Triana and Ty. An alternate universe? No way! I hope they can find there way home.
Oh. My. God. I loved this book SO much! This series and world is already one of my favorites, but this book in particular was a lot of fun!
Ty and Triana are on their honeymoon, but of course something goes wrong because trouble follows Triana wherever she goes. Lol. It's usually a mystery and a dead body that are the problem, but this time it’s alternate universes!
This is something I was not expecting, but loved! It was a cool concept that was very well executed and put the characters in some very interesting situations. I don't want to say too much because spoilers, but it was just very fun and I enjoyed the adventures in all the universes we followed. Okay, I will say this because it’s in the synopsis, but Ty and Triana ended up in another universe, and it was insane! But Leo, Elodie, and Vanti (who is Elodie's security now!) have a whole other situation to deal with as well, and that was crazy too! It was great! 😆 Lol.
Oh, and then we got some Vanti POVs, which was another thing that was unexpected but totally welcome! This series has only ever been in Triana's POV, and I love her, but I also love Vanti so it was nice to be inside the secret agent's head for a bit. Especially when she interacted with Triana's cousin Arun. Lol.
This guy is bad news for my super-controlled secret agenty-ness.
I really liked Arun and I hope we get to see more of him! And I hope this spins off into a Vanti-centric series, because I love her! And I loved the entire cast of characters and their fun banter. I just loved this book, okay? Lol.
Alternate universes in the Space Janitor world is not a thing I thought I needed, but glad we got because it was so much fun! I’m really looking forward to whatever is next in the Space Janitor world!
Disclaimer: I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book along with the obligation to write a review of it. I also should mention that I was busy in the middle of binge reading a series from another author when this arrived, and that was going on while sections of my home are getting replaced, repaired, and upgraded, depending on which particular part you are talking about. So I'm worried I'll let all the pounding and sawing noises bleed in here and color my opinions, or that I'll notice I'm doing that and over compensate. OK, so now that's all out of the way and I can get on to my thoughts about the book! (Unfortunately it's now a few days late, and after the release of the book, sorry.)
Once again we have Triana, Ty, Vanti, etc. Getting into a tight spot and working their way out of it. This time Trials & Ty get swapped with their counterparts in an alternate universe. I often have problems with time travel or "Freaky Friday" kinds of stories, but this one kept that to a minimum somehow. Perhaps it was because our main character, Triana, gave her alternate self and the others snarky pet names and used them often.
As usual, it was light and fun, like it's supposed to be, so no real shock about the writing style, amount of (missing) editing, etc. If you got this far in the series, you should already know what to expect, and this one is also up to those high standards. If this is a new discovery for you, don't worry too much, you'll be fine starting here, but I'd also recommend reading the others too, both to get a better feel for the characters in the story, and just for getting other fun stories too.
So once again I must recommend this book to everyone, thank the author for all the efforts put into this book, and kindly ask them to quickly do it again.
Honeymoon winds up in a different dimension - 4 stars
For Annabelle Morgan, the trip to another world seemed right for many reasons - time alone with Ty and time away from the normal interruptions. In this fun story, the trip has more complications and a connection to ancient TeVe stories of adventures to an alternate reality. Except, that it happens to her.
Plus there is a bit of illegal transport of endangered animals with pouches. These animals carry delicate objects that could be used as weapons.
The duality of the alternate reality is nicely framed. The cracks in the Morgan family provide comic relief. Skill sets change so that your favorite characters in previous adventures gain or lose skills -- this is a welcome interlude.
The most fun occurs on hoverboards away from civilization with wild animals, drones, and an explosion or two. Even the cat gets a chance to perform. The action takes place in the wilderness of a planet as well as the emptiness of space while close to an eccentric scientist who turns out to be the key player in the story.
