Oh my god, hang onto your seats when you read this book. In another of the books you read where Barbi and Alex take a trip to Vegas and get married along with a bunch of other couples that's not a secret, but what happens while they are there turns into a nightmare. This couple is strong that's for sure. I am curious about Rebel and Forest. HEA for now.

Alec & Barbi had some serious chemistry. And when they go to Vegas things go terribly wrong.
This book draws you in from the start, and I could not put it down.

Rescuing Barbi Guardian Hostage Rescue Specialists Bravo Team #6 by Ellie Masters is by far my favorite in the Bravo Team Series. This is a heart-stopping romantic suspense story full of passionate, protective ex-military heroes. As each hero has found his soul mate, it's now time for Alec to find his. Alec and Barbi's love story is raw and gritty surrounded by tragedy, heartbreak and triumph as they overcome obstacles to be together. The characters are in your face intense and dynamic as love will be the guiding force for the decisions both will have to make.
Barbi is a party girl who has been burned in the past, won't get into any kind of relationship will only be with a man for hot sex. When she hooks up with a handsome stranger in a bar, these two have an instant connection, the sex between them is raw sexuality to the fullest with graphic language as Alec dominates Barbi. Barbi can sense she is in trouble, as she might end up falling for this mystery man so she runs and leaves him in the bathroom. Alec who is part of the Bravo Team, can't stop thinking about this woman who fits him in everyway, he can't believe she turned the tables on him so he goes to the bar every night hoping to find her but he comes up empty. Alec loves woman and sex as he can be a Dom at times but as he says he likes vanilla but at times he loves chocolate with sprinkles.

The story picks up after Carmen and Rosalie are rescued and now Carmen wants to return home to her friends Kate and Barbi taking Rosalie with her. When Barbi tells Alec not to give in that the lives of the women who are being held are more important then her, will he agree as they both confess that they love each other? As the Bravo team arrives to rescue them, will Barbi end up finding the strength and make a drastic decision to save Alec? This is a heart stopping, gripping, emotional love story that will have you on edge from beginning to end as Alec and Barbi reaffirm the love that is between them. Rescuing Barbi marks the completion of seeing the men from two teams, Alpha and Bravo, finding their soul mates in some sort of rescue mission. That’s a total of 12 Guardians who now have met their match and have someone to come home to after each harrowing mission. I loved that Rescuing Barbi is set parallel to two previous books: Rescuing Carmen and Cara’s Protector.

Seeing the events happen from the POV of Barbi and Alec in real-time, opposite the storylines found in Carmen and Cara’s stories, was just plain fun! I loved trying to remember what happened previously and now seeing why Barbi and Alec were so edgy with each other. I also need to mention that Ellie Masters may enjoy teasing her readers with a slow-burning romance and leave you panting and writhing until the bitter end, but not this time. This time our story starts with a BANG, and I loved it. There’s definitely a place and time for slow-burn, but it has no place in Alec and Barbi’s world. Steam is where it’s at with these two!

Author Ellie Masters spins action-packed stories of Guardians on rescue missions and Protectors doing what they do best. Her books are what I like to call inter-connected stand-alones. You can always read in any order, and Ellie keeps you in the loop and up to speed, but to enhance your pleasure, get to know all of her heroes in order.

Rescuing Barbi starts on graduation night when Carmen and her friends are about to hit the town to celebrate. Of course, we know that Carmen’s father, the evil Maximus Angelo, has other plans for her, and thus the story Rescuing Carmen begins. Make sure you read that one! Now we get to see what happens when Barbi and Kaye hit the town. You don’t want to miss this! It’s hot! Barbi has one thing on her mind – getting laid with no strings attached! Can you guess who might also have similar plans? If you guessed Alec, ding ding ding!

I couldn’t wait to find out just what Alec and Barbi had been up to. There were hints in the other books that they hooked up and were hiding something, and now Ellie Masters reveals all. Their story is action-packed, full of angst, very shocking, and made me tremble. Not since Rescuing Zoe had I been so scared of what was to come.

I’m always in awe of how Ellie Masters continues to take us on rescue missions but keeps the storylines fresh and new. Rescuing Barbi has some recurring characters that past readers will recognize, and many new secrets are revealed. For those of you waiting for certain characters to get their due, you may be happily satisfied.

Barbi turns out to be a very courageous young woman very worthy of Alec, and I can’t wait to see how she fits into the Guardian family. Ellie Masters has set that up, too, along with some new characters to love as the series continues with Charlie Team. Get ready for more missions and lots more rescues as Ellie continues to write faster than most of us can read.

This is the final story of the Bravo Guardian team and it will stun you! Alec is an intricate part of the Nicaraguan human trafficking rescues in past Bravo Guardian stories. This is his turn to find love. Hitting a nightclub with his buddies will change his life. Barbie just got her bachelor’s degree and is celebrating with her friends when she feels eyes on her. Alec and Barbie can’t take their eyes off each other and when their bodies connect is explosive. Alec wants more, but Barbie runs.
Barbie is a beautiful bombshell who comes from a wealthy family so she doesn’t have much to worry about but starting law school in the fall. Her roommates are Kaye, Carmen, and now Rosalie. These girls require bodyguards because Carmen and Rosalie escaped from the brutal monsters of the Nicaraguan cartel and Bravo believes the girls are in danger. So, Alec comes with the team to provide protection when who does he see the sexy run away from the bar. The very girl who blew his mind! It takes persuasion but Alec finally gets Barbie to date him. They are a fantastic well-matched couple. Alec sweeps Barbie off to a week of fun and sexy nights in Las Vegas. After a great dinner, lots of drinks, and then participating in a multi-couple Elvis wedding they are really enjoying each other…until everything turns upside down. The Nicaraguan cartel has found Alec and after a beating, they are both kidnapped. The horrors Barbie and Alec are put through are awful. Alec can manage with his training but Barbie has never experienced beatings and torture or being thrown in a damp cell, with little or no food or water. I felt like I was with them in their struggles it was so vivid. But the story ends SO BEAUTIFULLY. This is a great series and I loved Rescuing Barbie. This is book seven and the conclusion in The Bravo Team : Guardians Hostage Rescue Specialists Series and it is Barbi and Alec’s story and omg it is definitely a must read. When Barbi graduated she was ready to party and ended up in a nightclub with her friend and while there she felt like someone was watching her and when she found him she knew that this man was different and she decided that one time with him would satisfy her. Alec is a guardian and part of the Bravo Team and while at the nightclub he meets a woman and they have a one and done but now Alec can’t stop thinking about her and even though her has tried everything possible to find her it seems like she is a ghost because she just disappeared. When they meet again they are both shocked to realise that they were connected because of her friends and because there attraction and chemistry is still as strong and intense as ever and cannot be denied they decide to start spending time together and get to know each other and even though Barbi is reluctant to move forward with Alec because of her past he managed to get through to her and they start a relationship. Alec and Barbi have decided to go to vegas to spend some quality time together only for them to be captured and taken out of the country and no one knows where they are but with everything that they are going through they both stay as positive as possible even when they started to feel like there was no hope of being rescued. Wow Wow Wow what a raw and emotional rollercoaster journey we are taken on so make sure that you have the tissues ready because you are definitely going to need them. I loved how strong and positive Barbi was even at the worst time of her life and how she encouraged Alec to keep going and not give in and they were so perfect for each other in every way. This amazing and intense book will take you in right from the start and will grip you so tight that you will be unable to put it down and you will be on the edge of your seat while holding your breath so many times to count as it was so addictive and kept your attention throughout the whole book and you feel like you are there with them living through it all. Ellie Masters is an incredible author and writer and I definitely recommend you read her books and you will not be disappointed and I can’t wait to read more.

The Guardian team is back.

Barbi, Kaye and Carmen graduate from UCSF. Right after graduation, Carmen Angelo is summoned home by her father, Maximus, who is the Minister of the Interior for Nicaragua and is second only to the President. He is also a notorious human trafficker. Barbi and Kaye go out to a club on graduation night. Barbi doesn’t do relationships but does enjoy sex. She hooks up with a guy in the club bathroom who takes charge which Barbi loves. He makes her orgasm twice. Barbi gets dressed, runs out of the bathroom, grabs Kaye and rushes to jump in a cab and go home. Over the next couple of weeks, Barbi can’t get the stranger out of her mind.

Alec is a member of the Guardians Bravo team. He can’t get the girl in the green dress out of his mind. She is the only woman to use him to satisfy her sexual needs and then run away from him. Recently, the Guardians saved Booker’s woman Izzy. Carmen Angelo hitched a ride on Rafe’s legs when the helicopter came to extract the group. Then they went back to Nicaragua to save Rosalie, Carmen’s childhood friend, as well as a bunch of other women. Now Carmen and Rosalie are moving back into the townhouse Carmen shares with Kaye and Barbi. Barbi hasn’t had sex since her mystery man so she hopes that at least one of the Guardians bringing Carmen and Rosalie to the townhouse will catch her eye. Barbi is surprised that Alec is one of the hot Guardians and her mystery man. There is an instant electricity between them just like the club.

Will Barbi put the past aside and have a real relationship with Alec? What happens when Alec convinces Barbi to go with him to Las Vegas, just the two of them?

I loved the whole series but especially this one because it wrapped up a lot of loose ends.

I really enjoyed this book! I've been following the Guardians since Rescuing Isabelle came out, and I've read both the Alpha and Bravo teams series.

This book hit all the marks for me when it comes to an Ellie Masters book. Our heroine, Barbi, is a breath of fresh air. She's different from Masters's other heroines, but I loved that about her. Barbi is very secure and unapologetic in her sexuality, and for someone who's healing from sexual trauma, this was inspirational and really nice to see. Alec is another drop-dead gorgeous hero (I expect nothing less from the men of Bravo Team) with a heart of gold and enough bravery for fifty men. I loved that there was an emphasis on healthy communication in this book. It's so hard to get, especially with romance books, since miscommunication is the most common in the romance genre and usually results in a third-act breakup and then reconciliation. (The ONLY person who can do this well is Elle Kennedy, in my opinion. The Dare, The Play, and The Deal are my biggest examples of how it can work flawlessly.) We get no third-act breakups in Masters' and that always makes me happy! They work out their communication early on, and you would think that would be boring, but it's one of my favorite things about the book. The second half of this book would not work if they didn't do that in the first half.

Always love seeing the Guardian HRS crew, especially Mitzy. (She's my fav.) This one is pretty dark and handles heavy themes so please take care of your mental health and check trigger warnings before reading.

This books starts with sparks and spice and ends with some serious action!! Word of warning, give yourself time when you start this because you will not be able to put it down!

The Guardians are back and this is Alec's story. As Bravo 6 he has enjoyed his unencumbered life going from woman to woman until he "encounters" a strange woman in a bar. She becomes the only woman who has ever run away from him which sparks his interest.

Barbi has been burned by men in the past and has turned that into her own empowerment. She doesn't believe in relationships but enjoys intimacy with men. One night at a bar she comes across a man unlike the others who grabs hold of her attention in a way that scares her causing her to run away.

The two reunite weeks later when Rosalie, who has been recently rescued from Nicaragua, comes to live with Barbi and her roommates Kaye and Carmen. Alec and Barbi discover there is more than just the physical between the two of them and are just starting to develop that when they are taken by the men responsible for Rosalie and other trafficking activity.

I loved seeing Alec and Barbi grow together. Their relationship is unconventional at the beginning but as they start to communicate and connect the seeds of something more develop. When they are taken they find strength in each other that keeps them going.

This wouldn't be a Guardian Hostage Rescue Specialist book if it didn't keep you on the edge of your seat and this is no exception!

Rescuing Barbi is the final book for Bravo team, and it runs in parallel with Cara's protector and Rescuing Carmen.

The first half of the book we find out how Alec and Barbi first met and we get parallel story of events leading up to Alec and Barbi going to Vegas, from Alec and Barbi's point of view. It's easy to see the ultra steamy hot chemistry thats between them, and its like devine intervention when Alec finds Barbi again when Bravo team is tasked with protecting 2 of Barbi's friends who live with her. Alec asks Barbi to go to Vegas with him, to explore who they are as a couple and get to know other, something they havent really been able to do.

Vegas starts off being everything that Alec and Barbi need. There they really open up to each other, that steamy hot chemistry, still there boiling over but connecting with each other on an another level. Until they are kidnapped, by the Nicaraguan trafficking cartel that Bravo team have working to down. Alec and Barbi know that whats ahead of them won't be pretty. They face torture, brutal interrogation and a fight for thier lives like no other at the hands of cartel king, Artemus Gonzales. Their love for each other is both their strength and thier weakness.

Ellie Masters started this series off with a huge bang and she's has ended it with an even bigger bang. But in true Ellie style, she's sewn the seeds of whats to come.

This is a story of love, courage, endurance and resilience. Alec and Barbi’s story runs parallel to a couple of other books in this series and gives another glimpse into the underbelly of the cartel, human trafficking and depravity. From their first meeting, Alec and Barbi feel the sparks of attraction and some deeper connection that he is ready to explore while she is ready to retreat. When he is assigned along with his Bravo Guardian teammates to protect her roommates from the cartel, Barbi once again feels that connection and a pull towards him. He eventually persuades her to take a chance and date him. A trip to Vegas for a bit of fun and time together leads to disaster. They are kidnapped by the cartel and taken to Nicaragua where they are tortured and interrogated. Watching each other being beaten daily is excruciating and a test of their courage and resilience. Between beatings, they do their best to comfort, encourage and support each other, even when they are kept in separate cells. True everlasting love has been forged in these darkest of times. Somehow talking of the future they want to build together gives them the strength to hold on while they wait for his teammates to rescue them. Will they be rescued before it’s too late?

This fast-paced and action-packed book is well worth the read. The characters have real depth and easily draw you into their captivating story. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Want a sweet, soft romance with lots of whispered sighs, hand holding and lingering glances? This ISN'T the book for you! If you are looking for gritty, graphic dialogue, no holds barred, with almost animalistic interactions between Barbi and Alec then perhaps this IS the book for you! Barbi and Alec LEAP off the pages, daring you to witness the intense response each has for the other.... Starts with a raging wildfire and quickly escalates into a blazing inferno!

But there is more to this story than wild, unreasoning responses... These characters have depth, emotions; each playing exquisitely off the other. Their interaction with each other and other characters in this book draws you in, allowing you to "live" within the book alongside Alec and Barbi. Rescuing Barbi completes the series for the Bravo Series, outside of knowing that hat has really happened to Forest which will be a shoot off book, featuring Paul as the MC.

This books takes the reader on a journey from California, to camping, to Vegas, to an undisclosed location that would ruin the story if I said. Wink wink.

The reason I gave this story 4 stars is simple, there have been a lot of camping in the recent stories that could confuse the reader as to which book you are in if they are back to back. Also, when the chemistry between them was hot, it was FIRE, but when it wasn’t, I felt like a third wheel on an awkward first date. I don’t like to say this about Ellie Masters books, and I hardly ever do, but I was a little bit bored until about the halfway mark. If i didn’t receive an ARC copy I might not have finished it. Well, maybe not, since I knew there had to be action coming because Ellie Masters never disappoints when that begins to happen.

Overall, this is a good read and if you have been reading the Bravo series you are going to want to read this one to get the conclusion to this series.

Always a rescue

This is another rescue where the same team goes back AGAIN to the same place to rescue well this time its a Guardian and his girlfriend... She happens to be friends with the previous three rescued ladies... It is a slightly different story from the others, but I miss the comradery and team work of the Alpha team stories they had neat stuff always happen like seals diving and taking boats... This team Bravo is sorta more boring, the robotic dogs and the one helicopter rescue where Carmen jumps on the last guy, and when the guy on vacation takes off in the jungle to rescue the doctor and they end up going down the river... Those two scenes were the best in the whole Bravo series... I really enjoyed the BDSM elements in this story but the kidnapping kinda took the story into the same boring human trafficking direction... If every story is going to be human trafficking then you need to mix up the setting, and maybe rather than always rescuing the lady you could maybe go for being hired by a mother looking for a lost child, or something different... I like the suspense and action in most your stories but lately its seemed a little flat.

In the final book the The Guardian Hostage Rescue Specialists, Bravo Team, Ellie Masters turns up the heat to white hot in the first chapter. Phew! Grab a fan, ladies. It really doesn't slow down from there. Ms Masters also puts an emphasis on the resilience of the human spirit, courage both in the face of danger and couage of adhering to one's convictions and the power of love and its ability to lift the human spirit in the face of cruelty and the bleakest of times.

Barbi and Alec are both firm believers in hot and heavy, one and done and walk away afterwards type of encounters for vastly different reasons. Up until now that's worked for them. If that true why has the other taken up residence in their minds? After a surprise encounter they agree to basically a no strings non-relationship except it's becomes anything but. The more time they spend together the better it gets. But it takes being kidnapped, incarcerated, abused and tortured for these two to really find the love that's been been growing all along. Refusing to give up or give in becomes their superpower.

Rescuing Barbi is the final book in the Guardian Hostage Rescue Specialists Team Bravo series. Most of it takes place concurrently with book 5, so some of the events will be familiar, albeit told from a different perspective. There is a bit of a recap of the suspense plot as well, so this book could be read as a stand-alone, but I'd still recommend reading the series in order. For me, this was a book of two separate halves. The first focuses almost exclusively on the budding romance between Barbi and Alec, complete with loads of sexy times and soul-searching. Then it's like a switch is turned and we're in the middle of a nightmare with violence and stomach-turning moments before all the Guardians come to the rescue and bring the series to a happy conclusion. A true rollercoaster read with several hints of what's to come and I can't wait!.

Rescuing Barbi grabbed my interest from start to end with nonstop action. I throughly enjoyed this book and felt it was the best book in the Bravo Team series.

The book is suspenseful and the intense story of Alec and Barbi and their desperate battle against incredible evil. Our human sex trafficking villain is back and gives our hero and heroine the ultimate test of enduring horrific treatment. Alec and Barbi demonstrate eternal love, inner fortitude, unending trust, hope, enduring strength and selflessness.

You can always expect the very best from author, Ellie Masters. I have read almost (working on it) all of her books and can say that not once was I disappointed. She has incredible talent for writing interesting characters with twist and turns and, of course, lots of steam. I highly recommend this book.

The last book for Bravo team in the Guardian Hostage Rescue Specialists Series but I hope this isn’t the last time we hear about these guys!
Alex and Barbi meet in a club and click in a sexual manner but it was only going to be one night or that is what Barbi wanted. No names and one night. Weeks later, both Alex and Barbi are surprised when they are face to face helping friends move!
Barbi isn’t looking for anything serious but Alex wouldn’t give up.
Alex and Barbi find themselves in a whirlwind of free falling and having a wonderful time together, and a fake wedding in Vegas.
Alex and Barbi find themselves caught up in a dangerous situation when they are kidnapped and taken by none other than Artemus Gonzales. Being his captive, they know they will face a battle for their lives but they find the strength in each other to withstand everything that is done to them.

This was a perfect ending to the Bravo Series, now lets move on to Charlie!!!

Alec is part of Team Bravo within Guardian Hostage Rescue and he has his sights set on Barbi. She has her own issues to deal with and a tendency to run. He is determined to be with her and things go well to start, but an old nemesis comes in and destroys all they are headed for. Kidnapped by the bad guys that dabble in drugs, corruption, cartels, black market trafficking, and brutal interrogation. They need help soon and hope their team were called.
The characters are terrific, as usual, with backstories, determination, strength, deep feelings and banter. The storyline has it all from fun moments to almost dying at the hands of their nemesis. Plenty of drama, danger, twists, surprises, growing closer, kidnapped, beaten, rescued, acceptance and more. Great chemistry and entertaining situations. Great ending.

Finding justice

Alec and Barbi. So much of their story occurred while other stories were taking place so it was neat to see the events through the lens of what they were doing while those occurred. The transition from hook up with no names to relationship was sweet and entertaining. I enjoyed the hikes and vivid descriptions of the landscapes. The abduction and torture waa both descriptive and vague. The rescue was huge and encompassing with Alpha, Bravo and Charlie and the Rufi. The addition of seeing Skye, Misty and Forest missing and why was intriguing and scary, but a perfect tease of his health concerns hinted at all series and for another book. Rebel was new and I like how the tease for a new problem was presented! A good read and great addition for the Bravo team, even if slightly cheesy rhat all the girls are best friends/roommates even before the guys met them.

A thrilling end to the series, this is a book in two parts. Part one is the story of Barbi and Alec and how their relationship started and while much of it occurred in book 5 this is from their point of view and it is very steamy and hot until the bubble they are in is popped with a vengeance. Once I got to this point of the story it was too late to put it down, so with tears streaming down my face I stayed awake until I finished it and what a finish it was! Be prepared for violence, or just tragedy, cruelty beyond measure, terrifying moments, and despair but also incredible courage, hope, vindication and enduring love. There is also the intriguing question of why Artemis was so anxious to find Forest? An amazing read and I am sad to say goodbye to the Guardians, but anxious to find out about Forest.

Rescuing Barbi moves through the stages first the honeymoon everything is HOT as hades burning up every surface available 2. Not sure I can do this stage 3 Let's give this another try and see where we end up getting to really know you and the red hot monkey sexy time starts again. And then we are given a few chapters of hard gritty in you face actions as the common threat throughtout this series resurface giving us new twist a few surprise's and along with the standard crew we are introduced to new characters that are surrounded by mystery and hopefully new stories so if you want plenty of sexy time a nice amount of action and a few surprise's this is the story for you and the preview of Paul's story is off the chain can't wait for The Dark Of You.

I do love these Guardian Protectors, they always get my heart pumping with every story. The one thing I really like about this series is how there's always stuff going on in the background with each book, it builds up a bigger picture and keeps the tension going throughout. 

I really loved Alec and Barbi together, they have smoking chemistry right from the start. Their journey is more of a slower burn than some of the previous couples due to Barbi's past, but I liked that about them. I also enjoyed the witty banter between them. Alec really is the whole package, smart, strong, dominant and sexy with a good sense of humour too. 

Another sizzling suspenseful read with plenty of action and steamy romance too. 

I'm even more ready for Forest and Paul to divulge their secrets in The Dark Of You. 🖤

Our hero has worked really hard to woo our heroine and having an old enemy kidnap them is not part of the program. But they both have really good reasons for stay strong and their enemy is not going to know what hit them.

This is the final book of the series, but each book is written as a standalone. No prior reading is required.

This is a romantic suspense story pure and simple. Of course, nothing is ever pure and simple now, is it? The story is very well written and easy to read with well developed and very likable characters. We get plenty of action, so the story moves along at a good pace with some very intense scenes, as well as the occasional much needed steam. Overall, a really fun read and I look forward to more from this author.

Highly recommended.

Phenomenal Bravo Team Story!

Barbi is roommate to the women we have read about in previous stories; Carmen, Rosalie and Kaye. Kaye has sworn off men (professor issues) while Carmen and Rosalie each have their own Guardian.
Barbi has one amazing night out with no strings; where she then walks away. Imagine her surprise when the Guardians take turns guarding their home, and her one-night stand is a Guardian; Alec.

I love series that “overlap”, and you catch the action from another viewpoint. It’s like enjoying a story all over again, but extra. The team is stellar, the danger is real. The chemistry is to die for - almost.

Barbi proves her own mettle, and the reader is treated to another wonderful mission and romance. Absolutely love these stories.

Yowzer, what a captivating, action and danger packed ride with edge of your seat suspense. We saw Barbi and Alec's chemistry from the sidelines in previous books, but it didn't even scratch the surface of what was going on behind closed doors or how they actually met. Their magnetic pull towards each other was off the charts, causing two people not looking for love to fall hopelessly. Then in true Guardian fashion, all hell broke lose as they were pulled into insane danger...which is what had me impatiently waiting for this book after the others considering the timelines overlapped so we caught a glimpse of the peril coming. With that being said, it can be read as a standalone but would most likely be more enjoyable if you read in order. Barbi totally impressed me with her reaction and how she handled the situation they found themselves in, turning out to be no shrinking violet, extremely fierce and just as protective as her Guardian. Alec's heart chose well.

Another brilliant book by Ellie. This had so much suspense and drama, one of my favourites yet, I loved every page. Alex and Barbi had a brilliant connection, both in personality and between the sheets! The strength in them both was amazing and the faith they had in each other made for one of the best connections yet. I was so invested in their story, I literally couldn’t put this down and read in one sitting. I needed to know the end! I loved that all the guardian teams came to help in this book and I’m looking forward now as well Charlie team. I cannot wait now for the next book for more updates on Forrest - he needs to be ok! A fantastic 5 star read and a book and series o highly recommend.

Each book just keeps getting better and better. This book is no exception. Ellie Masters has outdone herself with this one. This is Alec and Barbi's story. We have had glimpses of Alec and Barbi from the last few books. However, their story is truly a testament to the power of love and the Human Spirit. What started as a one night stand quickly developed into much more. They endure horrific things and through it all, they remain true to themselves and each other. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat with breathless anticipation as to what comes next. I was enthralled, feeling like I was in the thick of things with Alec and Barbi. This is definitely a five star read! Sorry, no spoilers. I received this ARC and here is my honest review.

I like how interwoven the last 3 books have been with significantly overlapping timelines. Lots of filling in of stories we were hinted towards in the last 2 books and I loved where this story went. barbi was much more complex than previously shown and this brought a level of angst which was highly enjoyable

Alec was definitely much more alpha than I expected but I would have liked to see this explored much more, I felt a little like some of the hot scenes were placeholders where much more intricate things which were hinted could have been written.

Nevertheless this was a great read and I’m super excited for Paul’s book.

Absolutely brilliant book and full of surprises.
This was edgy, raw and extremely intense.
Alec and Barbi met at a nightclub after her graduation, with a no names fling, but she soon finds out he is one of the Guardians.
This book really surprised me. Dramatic, raw, and brutal at times but very realistic in the action and consequence of human trafficking.
Most of all I enjoyed the attraction and connection between Alec and Barbi. His alpha Dom persona but his soft side really plays well with her personality.
So obvious their love will win out.
Ellie Masters really knows how to deliver a thought provoking, heart felt story that doesn't let go till the very end. I truly adored this book and so can't wait for the next one. Really excellent!!!!
