Leah Steele grew up with sunshine and beaches, but now lives in the Midwest. She’s an awkward introvert who’s better left alone until she’s had her morning cup of coffee. If you can’t find her behind her laptop or a kindle, there’s a good chance she’s on a hiking trail taking scenic photos, or traveling around America.
"Oh, Raven. You're never sexier than when you're threatening someone with a weapon. Violence flashing in your eyes is my favorite sight."
The series is finished, and the last book is here, and I am left in despair. Saying goodbye to these characters is bittersweet. I love this series so much and our girl Remington, now Raven, has grown into one of my most favorite characters ever.
With this book taking off literally where we ended it in book four, Raven, Jasper, Greyson, Cole and Vander are on the hunt. But quickly they realize the hunters have become the hunted and with strategic airplane crashes and trying to gain the technological upper hand, our group of misfits is ready for war.
When Jasper reveals a secret so big, regarding the Tulip Broker, it might very well be the ending to all he knows. Will they be able to get Becca back in one piece or will she end up being a shell of her former self? When Raven finds herself wanting to admit the L-word to each of her guys, will this result in anything new from her men, or is the crazy just getting started?
This book, no, this entire series had me on the edge of my seat for the entire ride! I loved everything about it all. Not only that, but this book brought the steam; It was almost as good as that shooting range scene, but man...did Cole give Jasper a run for his money. lol. I absolutely love when authors can write about such an unhinged person and make it sound so loving and un-psychotic. lol. That is true talent and this book had that and more.
The ending seemed to come up too soon, but Raven definitely got the HEA she deserved. Are we going to learn more about Becca, because I am intrigued. Whatever this author decides, I am a fan for life. I would read her grocery list if she let me, the writing just always seems to hook you in from the beginning.
"I'm a serial killer. Doesn't matter who it is, if they've done something wrong or not, I love taking things from this world. I'm not a good person, and that's fine with me. I've embraced it, accepted the darkness with open arms. But what makes it so much better is having someone who enjoys it just as much, if not more, standing by my side."
*Overall 5/5 *Heat 5/5 *Fast Burn *Multiple first person POV *Ends on the best HEA
After their plane nearly crashes, Raven and her guys find out that The Tulip Broker was behind the flight's mechanical failure. Now they are more determined than ever to take him out.
But a few more secrets must come out first. We find out that The Tulip Broker is Jasper's adopted brother. He feels guilty for letting his brother get away with doing all the bad things he's been doing (especially after finding out Cole's sister is caught up in it). But he's more than happy to help take him out.
As Raven and her guys finally come to the end of their personal hit list, they are almost ready to ride off into the sunset. Only a few more bodies to drop before they can get back to their peaceful life of...well, killing some more.
This has been an enjoyable series for the most part. But this last book was a little disappointing for me for several reasons. I didn't hate it, but I didn't really love it either.
The first issue with this book (and series) is that it kind of lacks direction. There's so much that happens from book one to now, but none of it really ties together. I think the series would've been much stronger overall if there was a big bad for them to take out throughout the whole series instead of having several smaller story arcs throughout the books.
That being said, the series lost its steam a bit by this book and I found myself just ready to move on by the end of the last book. I do think this series would've been stronger as four books with a united story arc, but it is what it is.
My other issue is the RH isn't the most balanced. A big part of this is that the POVs are not evenly distributed between the guys throughout the books. I don't like it when each guy "gets a book" that he's more prominent in because the guys that got their books early on feel pushed to the background by the end of the series. I much prefer there to be a balance between them throughout the entire series. I also think Raven favors Cole (in general) over the others because of their shared psychopathic personalities. And I don't like an imbalanced RH.
This book also lacks in the plot department. The actual story of taking down The Tulip Broker is maybe a couple of chapters. The rest is sex. And yes, I love romances to have sex in them. But it was almost too much that it just became a little boring.
I also wish we could've had more time with her mafia family. Enzo and his friends were fun side characters and I felt like her dad caved way too easily considering he's a Don.
That being said, I am happy with where the RH ended up and that they are all happy. The series is a book too long and lacks some focus and direction as far as plot goes. But the character and relationship development was fairly well done overall.

The Dear Darkness series has been quite the journey for Raven and her guys, and Entwined is the end of their story.
Raven and her men are so well written that the characters take on a life of their own. Raven is the best combination of deadly and sassy. Fitting to each guy perfectly. The guys have no problem loving Raven as she is and are there to help her handle her new found emotions.
This is series is just fantastic. Full of secrets, twists, smütty goodness, un@living, flawed characters, and embracing darkness.
I picked this series up two years ago and I can't believe this is the end for Raven and her guys. Raven was one of the first truly unhinged FMCs I had read and her story has kept me engaged in each book. Raven unapologetically embraces her darkness across the series but after all the secrets revealed in the previous book, Lethal, the dynamic really shifted in this as Raven and her Ravenmasters work together as a team to try and save Cole's sister.
This book primarily focuses on Cole and Jasper after the fallout from Lethal. Cole is probably the most like Raven out of all the guys and their side quest to the bar shows they are two halves of the same whole. I loved their possessive banter together with Cole sulking every time he thought Raven might share "their thing" with one of the other guys. I would have loved more of Jasper's subplot though as it was really interesting but there was a lot of ground to cover and the pacing was very quick. I was disappointed though that Vander and particularly Grayson weren't in it more since its the last book and although the group is together they aren't featured as much. Grayson is often mentioned as being the light to Raven's darkness and with this book being as dark as it is I thought he would be a bit more prevalent however both Vander and Grayson had their own books earlier in the series so across the five books it balances out.
There is plenty of action and steam in keeping with the earlier books. I would love to see more of this world and these characters again - if you like possessive characters with an FMC who is as dark as they are you will really enjoy this.
My interpretation of the star system; 3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again 4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series 5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read
It seems like not so long ago that I read book one of this series and fell in love with Raven as she first began her dark journey, experienced the first interactions between her and Ravenmaster, and cackled at the never to be forgotten “baby batter” scene. Dear Darkness has come so far and Leah has done a fantastic job with it. It is a series I thoroughly enjoyed with all of its twists and turns, the triggers and the jokes, as well as the action and the smut.
And let me tell you…the smut is smutting in this book. I'm talking chapters long for one of the scenes. And the best thing is that I didn't once want to skim through it because it got too long or repetitive. It was amazing. Different POVs too which always makes things a bit more interesting to me because I really enjoy seeing what is going on in the other person's head.
I promise the rest of the story was good too lol. I think we got a little bit of everything in this final book. The action. The connection and romance. The emotions even, which for Raven is pretty big. And what is a book about serial unalivers without a touch of unaliving?! The moments with Cole and Raven together really showed how unhinged they could be as a team, but it also showed how therapeutic those moments could be for them as well, sort of taking the edge off to balance themselves out so they could be in a better mindset to deal with all the chaos surrounding them.
This was the perfect way to end this series. Raven got her happy ending with her guys, the unaliving continues, and maybe there is a spinoff in the future with Becca? I don't know, we shall see!
This series had me in an absolute chokehold from the moment I started reading Fractured up until I finished Entwined. Raven's story, along with her men, has left me feeling all sorts of emotions with their journey coming to an end. These characters are well thought out with deep back stories that make it impossible not to love them even with their proclivities. In Entwined, the final secrets are revealed and this family they've built together finds its groove as they go after the man who has Cole's sister. This book was action packed from chapter one and all the way through the epilogue. It is full of intense, and unique, spicy moments with a heavy dose of true feeling sprinkled throughout. I absolutely LOVED these books. Easily one of my top series’ I've read this year!
Wow!! This books picks up right away, following the ending of the previous one. It will take you on a crazy ride to get to the end. Filled with action and suspense, lots of spice, a side of crazy and more!!
Raven, will forever be one of my favorite FMC. The twists and turns she went through as well as the growth in her character throughout the whole series. I can't forget the guys. Of course, I loved them too. I think they were all what she needed, each in their own way.
I'm definitely gonna miss Raven and her men, but I think they finally deserve their happy ending! Fantastic Conclusion!
Wow. This series was just amazing. Each book makes you excited to read the next one. The conclusion to the series is bittersweet. While I love how the series ended for Raven and her hot men I miss that it’s also the end of their story. Raven is totally bad a$$. She’s so confident, protective and independent. Her guys let’s her be her. Their dynamic works. Lots of twist and turns and just love all the smut in her books. It was hard to put this series down. Could not get enough of it. Can’t wait to read more books from Leah Steele. Love her books.
I can't believe this is Book 5 and the final book in the Dear Darkness series for Raven and her guy's . With each book in the series we see Raven embracing her darkness more and more it's the only thing her little unhinged self could do, but when the secrets were revealed in Lethel the previous book thing's changed as Raven and her Ravenmaster's work together to try and save Cole's sister. If you've been reading this series you do not want to miss out on this final book. Gotta love the Ravenmaster's Rules K-ing especially Rule 15 lol.
What a whirlwind ride Leah takes on in this series finale. From the first line to the last, this book will tear your heart out, shred it, pick all the pieces up and bandage it back together SO. MANY. TIMES! Raven and her men have been on such an unbelievable journey together--learning to kill, to killing and killing together, trusting, caring, loving, and all the hot scenes in between!!!
Entwined is the perfect name for this book and the characters seemed to embed themselves into the reader's soul! I'm obsessed with Raven & her men and their ending was everything we needed and more!!!!! 😍🐦⬛🤍
This series has got better and better with each book and while this might be the 5th & last book it certainly packs in a lot. I love how the relationship between Raven and her guys has grown and developed and we get to see her more comfortable with her emotions. Raven is sassy, sexy and deadly and is the perfect combination for each of her men. I love how all the guys accept Raven for who she is and are there to help her learn to recognise and handle her newly found emotions. I’ve loved everything about this series and am sad it’s over but it’s definitely finished on a high.
Obsessed! I was completely captivated by the way Raven's relationships with her partners developed. Each man had his own captivating darkness and murdery-ness (though Grayson was an exception 🖤). They seemed tailor-made for her, and the conclusion of the series, was incredibly satisfying. If you're into intense (aka spicy!) romance, murder, and a cast of dark, flawed characters who band together as an unconventional family, then the ending of the Darkness series will absolutely blow you away!
I’ve thought of so many things I want to say about this book, but I don’t want to give spoilers. I want you to experience it all together. It’s such a great ride. When they learn who has Becca, I swear I rubbed my palms together in anticipation. The steam in this book does not disappoint. The guys are so bossy… it’s so hot. When Raven decides to make sure the parent(s) are punished, I wanted to cheer. This is such a great book. Don’t hesitate, read it now!

I started the series when the first 3 had already been written. I burnt through them in a few days and was happy to not have to wait long for book 4. To say I’ve patiently waited for this one is an understatement. This dark romance series really set the tone for the books I’ve pursued in between. Can’t wait to check out this authors other creations!!!
Raven is my spirit animal. She is the craziest, most psychotic woman I’ve ever read and I loved every minute of it. She is absolutely hilarious and really the star of this series. Her men are also unhinged in their own way but always keep her in line. Well.. maybe not Cole 😂. I am sad this series is over.
I can't believe we are at the end of Raven and her guy's story. It has been a wild ride and this addition is no different. This had my emotions in a choke hold. We've got revelations, secrets unwrapped, with fantastic intensity and spice. I loved the banter and humor. This was a great way to end this series.
There's so much that I could say about this book and this entire series, it is one of my favorite series and I think this book was the perfect ending. All the things I want to say I feel they need to be read from the book. I love this series and highly recommend it if you like super super protective men, why choose, an unaliver FMC check out this series! Check TWs!!
i really enjoyed this series, fast paced, spicy, crazy, stabby, all of my favourite things in a book series. Raven and her guys are unhinged in the best way, i’m a little disappointed in the ending. it was pretty anticlimactic after such a big build up. happy they’re happy but i thought there would be more.
I give 5 stars to the whole series. I loved it. I waited seems forever for the last book and the wait was worth it. Loved the guys. Loved Raven. They were all very well written. And I loved that Raven was so unhinged. I really enjoyed it. These are my fav kind of books.
What an end of the series I love when the FMC is unapologetically unhinged but this book was too fast paced and rushed although we get to see my fav cole opening up his issues and both of them dealing their darkness and working together to find his sister it was thrilling and also I felt like cole was too closed up for someone who claimed to want raven as his partner
This is the fifth and final book of the Dear Darkness series. Once again I was hooked start to finish. The characters in this series were so amazing and complex. I loved how Raven and her men just fit together and there is oh so much heat and spice. The series is dark so check for triggers. This book was the perfect ending to this dark series
Entwined is book five and the final book in the Dear Darkness series. Needs to be read in order.
This was the conclusion to Raven and her men. This picks up from that horrible cliffy we had at the end of the last book. Centered around the search for Coles sister. While none of these books lack the spice this one is pretty smutty. We also only have Raven and Jaspers POV in this book. These Rules for K-ing, who can remember them all 🤣 after reading rule 15 that is the one stuck in my head. I loved seeing Ravens growth and transformation throughout the books with her feelings and how the guys have sorta forced her to embrace them. There was no favorites but Jasper 🥵🥵🫠🫠 the best gift giver among other things 😉. Ok yeah maybe Jasper is my favorite, but.. Cole you can go off the rails with. Vander who doesn’t love a hot bodyguard who is the only one allowed to make you bl.33.d. The sweet but dominant Grayson who balances her crazy tendencies and rounds out the others but also the bedroom 🫠. A made family that K.1.ĩĩ together stays together. Raven and her Ravenmaster. A good conclusion to their story sad to let them all go.
Raven and her guys are out to take out TB and find Cole' s sister. I love the bond she has with all the guys. And they have with each other to protect her at all cost. They also find the closure they need. That ending was epic and well deserved for Jasper.
Gosh! What an ending to an epic series! I will forever love Remi and her 4 men! The story has an epic conclusion that wraps everything beautifully. Remi and her possessiveness to her men and theirs to her is definitely a little psychotic but definitely swoon worthy
Absolutely loved this story and series! Was completely obsessed with this series, I couldn't get enough and I can't wait to re-read it. This whole series was a rollercoaster ! You will absolutely love this series and this author, she sucks you right into to the story.
These books had me in a chokehold! I fell in love with these characters and I'm so sad I binged this series in two days. I hate that it is over but I hope to read more in this world later.
Its been awhile since book 4, and I had hoped for a bit of a recap. I didn't remember some of the things, but most of it came back to me. I loved the characters, and the ending was great for them.
Raven’s story has come to a bloody (but happy!) ending. They checked off all of the goals on their list in this conclusion, of course it’s anything but easy. They guys are all as steadfast as ever and Raven is just as possessive of her killers. This was a great dark romance series!
