Reily Garrett is a writer, mother, and companion to three long coat German shepherds. When not working with her dogs, she’s sitting at her desk with her furkids by her side. Prior experience in the Military Police, private investigations, and as an ICU nurse gives her fiction a real-world flavor.
Y'all. What the HELL AM I READING?? I'm still in sample territory and I feel like I've been reading for weeks. SOMEBODY TAKE THE THESAURUS AWAY FROM THIS AUTHOR.
Ok it's a DNF from me. I tried hard to continue reading but it's all so needlessly wordy to the point of being ridiculous! To the point of being sesquipedalian! Look, two can play this game.
Tedious to try to read through because by the time you finish the sentence you've no idea what the previous one was. There have only been maybe two books in my history of reading that have been so difficult to read that I actually could NOT read them. This is the third. I simply cannot comprehend the nonsense I'm seeing. My brain refuses to recognize this as English.
And I'm like 99% sure the two other reviewers that mention the terrible writing are the only other people that actually read (or tried to read) the book. I might need to create a "fake-reviews" or "purchased-reviews" shelf.
Shadowed Horizons is the first book in The Guardian’s series. Usually, I’d add something about if readers can read the book as a standalone or if you need to read the previous books. But in this case, it’s the first book, so those don’t apply here.
The storyline for Shadowed Horizons was interesting. Wyatt is a tech genius who a group of bodyguards is protecting with paranormal abilities. After being attacked by another group with similar paranormal abilities, he is taken to live with that group. During that attack, Wyatt meets Keira, a beautiful blonde warrior who can open portals and communicate with animals. Hiding him in their safe house is the only rational thing to do, but neither Wyatt nor Keira expected the sparks between them. Wyatt continues to work on his project, and Keira makes some discoveries that rock her world. She has an identical twin sister being held by an evil psychopath who tortures her. Another group, similar to hers, is also operating with the same end game: stop the psychopath. Can Kiera and her group save her sister, stop the psychopath, and ally with the new group? Will Kiera and Wyatt give in to their attraction? More importantly, will Kiera’s adoptive brothers allow her to have a relationship with Wyatt? And will they be able to save Ashlyn, Kiera’s twin?
I liked Wyatt. I felt he dealt with learning about paranormal abilities very well, considering how he found out. I also liked how he dealt with Kiera’s overprotective brothers. He was able to diffuse some pretty tense situations with humor. As for how he was with Kiera, I loved it. He didn’t quite know how to deal with her at first (she was a little pushy) and was a little awkward with her.
I liked Kiera. She was headstrong and knew what she wanted. She also had a penchant for practical jokes (the portals going to women’s dressing rooms was funny). Her paranormal ability (communicating with animals and opening portals) was intriguing. I liked that the author explained what she could do and how she met her wolves. I loved her scenes with Wyatt. She wanted him, and she would have him, regardless of what her brothers said. I was laughing out loud at the scenes where she asked different brothers about sex.
The bad guy, Roth, was a growing presence in the book. I liked that the author didn’t give too much away about him, only that he was collecting people with paranormal abilities and using them as mercenaries. I liked the mystery around why he was doing that and who he was. Nothing was answered about him, just that he was holding Ashlyn captive, and he was this very nasty, very evil person. I am looking forward to seeing more of him in the upcoming books.
The secondary characters, including the people from the other group of paranormals, rounded out the book. I liked seeing the guys’ different paranormal abilities and how they used them. I hope they get their books (along with their HEAs).
The paranormal angle was well written. The author kept me glued to the book with each ability uncovered. They fascinated me. I liked how they used their abilities to not only protect Wyatt but to fight Roth. I didn’t particularly appreciate that they immediately attacked the other group they found in Wyatt’s mansion or didn’t even bother to try and see who they were. They could have been allies, but no, the boys decide to fight them. That is my complaint about that (hopefully, the author will fix it in book 2!!).
The romance angle was ok for me. I liked the attraction between Wyatt and Kiera, but it didn’t progress beyond that. By the end of the book, I wanted more than a few stolen kisses between them. But, on the other hand, it was very refreshing to have a romance novel where the main characters weren’t having sex.
Something caught my attention when the author brought it up, and then she didn’t address it again. Nicholai (the head of the group and a precog) said that Kiera had a fated mate, and Wyatt wasn’t it. It was brought up again later in the book and then dropped. But I need more answers!! Does that mean that Kiera’s fated mate is still out there? Or was Nicholai wrong, and it was Wyatt all along? I hope that it gets explained more in the other books.
I had mixed feelings about the end of Shadowed Horizons. While I liked what I read, I hated that nothing was resolved, and had more questions than answers. Also, I didn’t particularly appreciate that it ended on somewhat of a cliffhanger. But that cliffhanger did its job, and now I have to read book 2!!
I would recommend Shadowed Horizons to anyone over 21. There is language, violence, and sexual situations.
I listened to this on audio as a computer voiced. I had a very hard time following along. Most likely due to the fact that there was no change in the voice between characters. The book is on Kindle Unlimited so I might give the ebook a try.
A Warrior, Keira is unprepared for the immediate connection that forms with the electronics genious, Carlin when she saves his life from a terrorists in this exciting paranormal romance.
Keira is a warrior with preternatural ability and fighting skills and a twofold destiny, Carlin is an electronics genius bored with aspects of his social life and yearning for a family and the reader can’t help but get drawn into their story as they struggle to handle their consuming attraction among all the obstacles in their path because as hot as the attraction is, the relationship cannot interfere with Keira’s destiny. The characters are strong, compelling and demand attention from the very beginning and the fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers shivering in anticipation with lots of suspense, excitement and romance while there are plenty of emotional pitfalls that really grip the heart and send reader’s emotions through a gauntlet of emotions.
Spine shivering tension builds throughout the story as the danger escalates and the readers come to know the true definition of the evil villain of this story and as Carlin and Keira’s story unfolds another young lady’s story is unfolding which builds expectations as it becomes known that all their paths will cross eventually and spicing the story up even more while lots of surprising twists keep the characters as well the readers on their toes. The well written scenes and details paint vivid images that capture the imagination and bring the story to life while the suspense ensures that the readers can’t put the book down.
The author has created a fascinating world of captivating characters with very intriguing psychic abilities, unique elements and a vicious villain that readers can really sink their teeth into. I was completely spellbound with this story and I can’t wait to find out what happens next.
‘My instincts say trouble’s GPS has locked on. Stay close’
Author Reily Garrett has been employed as an ICU nurse, a private investigator, and in the military police – all of which supplies her with the intricate and detailed knowledge from which she forges her books. She addresses issues such as man's cruelty and ingenuity for torment and torture, having witnessed the after-effects of a teenager mugged at knife point for a pair of tennis shoes, or an elderly woman stabbed repeatedly with a screwdriver for no apparent reason- all leaving an indelible impression that will forever haunt her subconscious. On the other side other spectrum of experiences she has observed a woman stopping her vehicle in severe, snowy weather to offer her own winter coat to a stranger, a teenager wearing a threadbare hoodie - life's diversities observed by Reily are endless. Her new series The Guardians opens with SHADOWED HORIZONS.
Following Reily’s progress as a writer, it is laudable to note her ever-expanding literary finesse: her ability to weave bizarre, suspense-filled romances continues, and her fluency with language grows. Note the opening: ‘Each flip of the key ring around his index finger tallied another reason to quit the world of high stake’s business. Work stemming from a far-fetched theory had taken form and flourished beyond his imagination. Unlike the soundless steps of his bodyguard’s booted strides, Wyatt’s tennis shoes pealed squishy squeaks through the dimly lit parking garage. “Adam, this does not make my list of top favorite places to visit Next time I help an old college friend, maybe we could pick a drier day and find parking other than a creepy garage. A rat skittered across the floor in the shadows, its gimlet-eyed stare marking the intruders’ positions. Air redolent of filth, gas, and pizza from a nearby restaurant clogged Wyatt’s sinuses, reminiscent of the alley apartment occupied during college. In those lean ears, digital fluency and had work had jettisoned him to the top of his field...’ Reily’s ability to create credible psychic situations is obvious.
A quality synopsis is provided – ‘: A girl protected by her two wolves. A nerd determined to challenge scientific boundaries. A psychopath bent on reshaping the world. A destiny that won't be denied. Prodigious keyboard skills and innate curiosity has led Wyatt McGlauklin to invent the unimaginable. He’s long since claimed status as the top computer science geek. Little do people know, there’s much more to Wyatt. When a blonde spitfire steps out of nowhere to prevent his assassination, his life’s direction takes an extraordinary turn where his analytical mind can’t validate paranormal phenomena. Kiera’s capacity to face death stems from training, begun when old enough to wield a knife. Befriended by wolves and raised by a group of psychic men sworn to protect humanity, she now faces mercenaries intent on reshaping the world using equal talents. Fate decrees Kiera find her life partner, but she learns you don’t always get to choose whom you love. Wyatt’s arrival challenges destiny as they combine forces to preserve the world as they know it.
Once again Reily proves her position on the platform of excellent mystery novels is assured. Very highly recommended. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book
This book had all the potential, minimal execution. I wanted to like it, there were times where I thought "ok here we go" for it to just fall flat again.
For starters, every character was annoying.
All the guys of Kiera's family were so sexist that it actually disgusted me. The entire book was them treating her as a kid, calling her a kid, and talking about how she "needed to stay pure for her future mate". The second that they got whiff that she had feelings for Wyatt, they aggressively tried to shut it down, using all the tactics. Threats of violence, intimidation, chaperones, harping that she needed to stay "innocent" and save herself because her future mate would want her to be "untouched". Oh, but please ignore how they all got to go out and hook up. They also constantly didn't trust her on missions, always nagged about any mistake that she made, and frequently wouldn't tell her things or give her the whole story. I get wanting to be protective because you care, but these guys were smothering and refused to change. I did not like any of them.
Kiera, herself, was annoying. She was 20/21, and wanted to be treated like the adult she is. And yet, she's constantly pulling pranks on all the guys and lashing out because she can't control her emotions. BUT, all of her family sucked, so I get it. No one listened to her ever, and so, they all deserve those pranks. Wyatt confused me. He was a super nerd, but somehow still a super suave flirty guy that could fight? He both gets sucked into his work to the point where people have to force him to eat, but yet, in another chapter, he states that he doesn't do that?
We don't learn anything about the other characters that are mentioned, which brings me to my next point.... the plot.
What actually happened in this book? The plot was maybe revealed to be Roth searching for Wyatt and Ashlyn to fulfil his destiny? But this book left more questions than answers. Who is Roth? What is his background and what destiny? Who is Ashlyn for that matter? We think she might be related to Kiera, but it's not actually confirmed. For the entire book, the guys just believe that Kiera is reaching for straws. There's a talent group from Maryland that is mentioned several times, for some reason? Then, they introduce a 3rd group? No answers about who they are. We do eventually find out Wyatt's big project. We do not find out how they found the Sanctuary. We do not find out how Roth recovered Ashyln? We learn no motives. We don't even find out more answers about all the different talents. 80% into the book and literally nothing had happened to help develop the plot. I understand this is book 1 of a series, but you can't just introduce a plot, and then have nothing to help it along. How many scenes did we get of all the guys warning off Wyatt or telling Kiera that she needs to save herself for her future mate or Kiera being tortured via a shadow link to Ashlyn? Most of the book. How many scenes did we get explaining backstory of Roth, THE villain, or Ashlyn, supposedly Kiera's twin that was actually getting tortured... Exactly. Also, what/who was the curious fog that left the cryptic message? It was never explained or mentioned again?
I guess I'll never know, because I don't think I'll be reading the next book.
This is book one of The Guardians series and the main characters are Keira and Wyatt who will soon be brought together as their lives are challenged. Keira was taken off the streets as a young teen by Nicholai, a precog who gets visions of the future and can sense others with abilities if he isn’t too far away from them. He also found others, Adam, Dacien, Lorne, Ari, Ouray and Alaric, who all have a variety of different abilities and have become a family, training and working together. One of Nicholai’s visions showed him that Wyatt would be important in the future and so Adam was put into his orbit as a bodyguard some four years ago. Wyatt has developed a piece of computer hardware and software that could change the world, especially if it got in the wrong hands. Wyatt was due to meet an old college friend who need some help with a computer matter, but it was a trap! Nicholai, Keira and the rest of the team appeared out of nowhere and helped to keep Wyatt safe, but they have no answers as to who was behind the attack. When Keira first saw Wyatt, she was distracted by him and almost got herself killed! She is taken to task by Nicholai afterwards and doesn’t want to admit that she likes Wyatt, having been brought up as one of the guys for so long. Nicholai tells her to forget him, as he is not the man she is destined to be with, according to his visions! Kiera is well trained in all sorts of martial arts and weapons and has her two wolves, Wraith and Ghost who she has had as companions since she was on the streets, plus a Capuchin monkey called Simon, as her protectors. She has the ability to link with animals of all kinds and can also open portals, which come in very handy. Wyatt is a very wealthy person from his computer skills and more, but mainly lives and works alone, enjoying nature and history. He is also learning self-defence from Adam and is quite handy with a sword. He is also drawn to Keira, but her brothers, as she calls the other men, are very protective of her and don’t allow them to be alone together and try to keep him away from her at every chance. Nicholai says her fate is with another, but their attraction to each other can’t be denied. The attacks on Wyatt increase, with the other side managing to find his secluded mansion and a few too many close calls. When he gets to know the rest of the family around Keira, he is in awe of all their separate abilities and tries to use his skills to locate those who are looking for him. Keira gets a message about a girl she needs to save, who they find out later is called Ashlyn. When another group of people with paranormal abilities also comes into the picture, they have to figure out if they are going to be the people they connect with to fight the enemy, or if they are part of the enemies forces. The evil psychopath wants both Ashlyn and Wyatt for his ultimate plan, but what that is, we still need to wait and find out. So much more to come with the link between Ashlyn and Keira and I can’t wait to see what happens next! A fantastic read with a bit of something for everyone. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
Reily Garrett – The Guardians Bk 1 – Shadowed Horizons – Reviewed 5/14/22 Read 5/14/22
The job, protect the “NERD” don’t fall in love with him…
Reily has done it again! Here is a new series that features a group called The Guardians. Kiera joined the group when she was rescued from the streets as a young girl, and they became her family. She has trained with them and has the nerve to face death head-on. Her abilities are growing, but her connection with animals brings her the protection of her two wolves. Together the group has sworn to protect humanity.
Wyatt is the target of a group that wants his programs to take over the world. He is a top computer science geek, but the world knows nothing about the person that he is. When a mercenary group attacks Wyatt, and his bodyguard, Adam, The Guardians step in to help stop them. This is Wyatt’s first glimpse at Kiera, and both of their worlds are rocked; now, the story begins.
Join Kiera, Wyatt, and the Guardians as they battle for their lives and the salvation of the world…
What did I like? Reily is at the top of her game with this one, action, budding romance, humor, and the snark bite. It’s her signature for the animals to play a part in her books; this time, we have the wolves that are Kiera’s protectors.
What will you like? OMG, there is so much to like and keep you on your toes; the psychic abilities of the characters are mind-boggling, the action is over the top, and the characters are warm, humorous, and seriously trained for protection. Together they make a mighty force to be reckoned with in a battle. This series has just started, and I can’t wait for the next one! Don’t miss picking up your copy today of Reily Garrett’s newest book “Shadowed Horizons” in the new Guardian Series.
Well, this one's tough. I really wanted to enjoy it since it's different from what I've read lately and seemed intriguing. It's listed as an award willing "Psychic Thriller" after all. Yeah - not so much. That said, wow, was it wordy! If an adjective would do, two were obviously better. I spent the first 1/3 of the book not even understanding what was going on. The scenes bounced and most of what was being said just didn't make sense. Plenty was discussed but absolutely nothing was explained. As the story progressed it almost became a YA book with the fmc (Kiera -20 yo) blushing and being shocked that she almost kissed a guy. The lead guy in the group (Nicholai) at one point even "grounded" her. Seriously? - well, not that she hadn't done something really dumb. Wyatt (mmc) constantly reminds himself not to step over the line with her and evidently kissing her on the forehead is over the line. There are 3 potential groups at work here - well maybe 4. There is a nebulous "citrus-smelling" cloud that shows up occasionally that no one can explain. One group might be associated with a team Kiera had contact with previously from Maryland. Comments about that group made it obvious that I've missed another series somewhere. There are the evil guys and there is the Guardian group. The lines start to blur a bit as the story progresses. Kiera keeps doing dumb stuff - to the level of TSTL. Her 20 years morph to 15 yo pouting standards more than once. Despite years of training, she is constantly distracted and head-in-the-clouds about Wyatt and the potential for family and oh look at that squirrel. She became hard to deal with. The ending is a bit anti-climactic. It is understood there are a few books in the series, but there is absolutely no resolution in this book at all. Based on reviews, the writing style may improve a bit in the remaining books. I'm willing to try Book 2 with hopes of that.
Shadowed Horizons is the first book in Reily Garrett’s The Guardians series, and it was another story from the author that I powered through with ease. While I enjoyed this story, I am being harsh with my rating as this is my least favourite series starter from the author. That is not to say it is bad – it certainly had me engaged – but it did not hit as hard as other books from the author.
As always, Reily Garrett created a story that sucks the reader in with ease and has them rapidly turning the pages to see how everything comes together. This is done very well, but there are lingering elements that mean it takes a while for the reader to be fully pulled into this one and there are elements left open at the end that require the reader to continue the series. This is why I did not love this story as much as other books from the author. While I was invested in the story and the characters, there were elements that were not as well contained as they usually are, which meant there were points when I felt like I was missing something. Due to this, I ended up rounding my rating down.
All in all, Shadowed Horizons was another addictive read from the author. It is a promising start to the series, but it was not as self-contained as other series starters from the author, and this had an impact upon my enjoyment.
~Paranormal Super-powered Adventure ~First, I’ll state that I received this book as a gift from the author to read and review. ~If one were to take a group of Marvel or DC superheroes and plop them into a more ‘normal’ action adventure …well, that gives you an idea of the plot. They do not wear capes or masks, however, they are a group of warriors, trained to fight physically and paranormally. It is good to read of a group working together as a unit, a family. ~It has been a while since I have read an adventure book where the main character was a powerful young woman! This was a welcomed plot change. ~I definitely enjoyed the pranks and the comradery between group. It was interesting to see the more human side of each macho warrior as they were forced to deal with a young girl coming of age…becoming her own person. While, Kiera wants…and needs…the approval of her team and mentors, she is also demanding that they view her as the growing person that she is striving to become. ~This series, “The Guardians” actually has a lot more to offer to the reader than just a simple adventure story.
Once being a street rat Kiera learned what was necessary in order to survive. Her knife and wolves became her best friends until a group of men with unique talents took her in and raised her like a little sister. They trained her to defend herself and helped her progress with her special talents. For years the group has kept an eye on the IT genius ensuring his safety unbeknownst to him. Wyatt has lead a sheltered life by choice. A genius at IT he didn't have the time or patience for the outside world. When mercenaries attack Wyatt and Adam the group steps in protect him. He's intrigued with their abilities. Wyatt is so thoughtful. He hacks into their computers to find more information about each one and sends them special gifts for saving his life. Kiera and Wyatt's attraction begins to grow. Roth is more determined than ever to obtain the information from Wyatt in order to take over the world. Wyatt and Ashlyn are the key. Taylor/tailor I'm intrigued to find out more about the Maryland group and Ashlyn. As always there are those adorable animals present. I highly recommend anything this talented author creates. Can't wait for next installment Shadowed Origins!!
Our heroine and hero don't have much in common at first glance. But beneath the surface, they just might have what it takes to save the world.
This is book one of the series, so a fine place to start.
This is an urban fantasy story with a bit of the paranormal woven in. The story is well written, easy to read and starts off with a bang. Not literally, but it does grab hold of you right away and never lets go. The characters are well done with a firm sense of being that brings the story to life. I particularly liked our heroine as she is tough and smart, and perhaps a bit snarky as well. Overall, this was a fast paced story and I really enjoyed the start of the series. I can't wait to see where it goes next.
Highly recommended.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout for review purposes
I think I got almost halfway through before I gave up.
I had read the author's series "Mind Stalkers" and found it entertaining reading. I was excited to start her next series in a related story line. It starts out well but, sadly, then evolves into a place where none of the characters really understand what's going on, and no one feels very anxious to do more than wait to see what happens. The female lead is just 21 years old and a fierce warrior, but spends a lot of time dealing with self-doubt and teenaged angst along the lines of what should I wear and how do I talk to a man. It goes on forever. She's being given firm advice by her guardian while he simultaneously claims he never tries to force what's fated. However, it seems to me that's exactly what he's doing.
The bottom line is that I reached the point where I no longer cared.
Wow there was so much happening in this fast paced action filled book. Keira is part of a group with very special paranormal abilities which include Nicholai, a seer, that have banded together to form a family. Due to Nicholai's visions they have been protecting Wyatt, a tech prodigy, for several years waiting for the expected threat to materialise. The threat has become a reality. Not only is the book full of action, the characters are well written but with hidden and not yet revealed pasts, there is also humour, camaraderie, paranormal skills, love and romance plus as always awesome animals.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Just when I thought Riley Garrett could not get any better, she comes out with a new series Shadowed Horizons. This series will take us on an exciting journey to help protect a sought after computer tech geek (Wyatt). With the help of Kiera, who can teleport & communicate with animals, Nicholai, who has visions of the future and a number of other very well developed characters they band together for a thrilling storyline. Reily Garrett’s books will never disappoint and will keep you wanting more and more. I can’t wait for the next one.
the Guardians are protecting Wyatt, but in meeting the Guardians he meets his future
Wyatt didn’t know the Guardians had his back until the Adam had to call his helpers in to save him from a horrible attack. Thats when he saw Kiera and his world changed. So he had a large learning curve to go through. Finding there are others with gifts that he had never seen in his life. Gifts that could be deadly to their enemies. Gifts that band them together as a family of misfits that work as one. Leaving him wanting as he hadn’t in years. .
An amazing story. The story starts with walking into a trap. Then it gets better. It has kept my attention with some details and a lot of action. Danger is just around the corner also. Really enjoyed this book. It is something like Marvel worlds were genetics change and give people powers to help people. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
An awesome story to start a new series. The action began on page one with a trap. It continued throughout the page-turner. All the wonderful characters had extraordinary talents that they used for good purposes. Keira's ability to communicate with animals added an excellent element. Wyatt and Keira had struggles with their relationship. The mystery in the plot will continue in the second book. If you enjoyed the X-men, this is a story for you.
Kiera has the ability to communicate with animals and her two biggest protectors are her wolves. Wyatt is a computer science geek but so much more and someone wants him dead. This is a fast-paced read with loads of drama, suspense and steam. The world building is excellent and the story has plenty of twists and turns and great characters. I am looking forward to the next book. I was hooked from beginning to end. I loved it!
Book is short. Took a while to really get into the story. 1 thing I didn't like is a reference to a female monkey wanting to be referred to as a male. I will not purchase the next book with fears it will become woke. The general content was great. Story flowed well. There just wasn't any need to have a animal with a gender identity issue. I really hope authors are not going in this direction
This storyline is original (do not happen often with supernatural but great when it do) a lot of questions don't get answers so keeps you wanted to read.this book is about getting to know the team with Keira being the lean along with her love interest, I was not sure about him I'm glad it was not dragged out.her guardian could of been reading little mouse instead of her when he told her he was not for her.they need more females
Just loved this new book from author Reily Garrett and again I never feel disappointed by her creative storytelling. So looking forward to seeing how this series pans out, with great and interesting characters and a truly unique storyline.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The beginning of this book was confusing for me. I couldn't figure out who Wyatt was or who was after him. It took me awhile to realize there were good guys and bad guys. After the fist couple of chapters I figured out what was going on. This book is OK for me and I'm still interested in the next book to find out what happens to Kiera
I read the synopsis and thought about getting the whole series but I have been burned in the past for doing that so I decided to get the first book and buy the rest of the series later! I am so glad I did this book was too slow and confusing for my liking😓! The synopsis is good however😁!
Shadowed Horizons: A Psychic Suspense Thriller w/Romantic Twist Book 1
Yeah, so glad the review page finally came up at the end of the book. I really enjoyed this amazing story. The storyline was great. The characters were terrific with amazing supernatural gifts. The heat between Wyatt and Kiery was complex and thrilling. I certainly hope the rest of the series stays as good.
I am looking forward to reading the rest of this new series! I love this talented family - she can communicate with animals. The wild animals were so great. I prefer the dogs, but Simon might be my new favorite! I cannot wait for Ashlyn’s story. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Needs proofreading, too many typos and nonsensical sentences. Story line is difficult to follow. I had to reread many parts for comprehension due to problems aforementioned. Needs more character development.
Characters with talents for healing, pre-cognition, talking with animals, etc Some good, one extremely evil megalomaniac, and others in between. The writing is disjointed at times, jumping to different settings and characters without a pause. Basically a cliff hanger.
