I really don’t want to be mean… but this was 7 pages long, I read it for free on kindle unlimited… and it somehow still wasted my time.

I was told this had an incredible plot twist… and I guess that’s true. If you’re under the age of 12 -.-
To be clear, I didn’t see it coming but that doesn’t make it good.

✎﹏ BookTok led me here after I searched horror novella. Figured a 7 page book wouldn’t be too much emotional damage (seriously Brooke such a rookie mistake)…. andddd now my day has been ruined. I did not see that plot twist coming & now my heart hurts. If you’re a sensitive, emotional, Pisces like me, don’t read this. 🥲

Shit. That was seven pages? Shit.

I’m just sitting here, in this tiny room, trying to find the words, but honestly, “shit” feels right.

My heart hurts. My conscience hurts.

It’s difficult to say much without spoiling anything, but what I can say is that this tiny story hit ME (emphasis on ME) harder than THAT entire full-length novel that explores the same theme in a different way.

Guys… it’s a short little story with a twist at the end. Its job was to send you to a place and use your imagination which it did. It’s dark sure, but a decent read. These ratings are just not it, it’s not that deep.

ending was easily predictable …

This would be more of a shock & more influential for a younger audience. It does its’ job in the sense that art is supposed to make you uncomfortable. I’m sure it will make some people change their perspectives.

Man.... fuck this book!! It's not really graphic or over the top and it's very brief... like 7 pages brief but god damn is it sad!!! Who knew 7 pages could pack such a sad wallop to the heart! It was a beautifully written story. I went in completely blind after a friend said that it ruined her and I get it.

What can I say? TikTok did me dirty again. It was sold as a horror book that leaves you extremely disturbed. Oh yeah, and it’s seven pages long. I can say that I’ve read the book in one sitting (just a small joke here) and seriously, what can you say about a book that’s seven pages long. For me, I expected something different from a horror book. It’s depressing and the plot twist got me but even the short seven pages felt like a waste of time. That’s a story every school kid could write as an essay. I got it from Kindle unlimited but I’m really sorry for everyone who actually spent money on it.
