A poetry chapbook collection of over 30 poems exploring the mysteries and wonders of our universe. Ranging from whimsical imaginings of how distant astronomers may be contemplating us, to more serious contemplations of our place among the stars, author Ron Perovich shares his own love of astronomy and invites readers to delight in the scale of the cosmos with him. Poems sprinkle in enough science facts to spark the imagination as well as reward those readers who may know their way around the solar system already with the occasional knowing wink.
Artist and musician Ron Perovich published his first written collection of poetry in 2022, following a successful run in the obscure world of "Competitive Steampunk Poetry Slams." His work is a reflection of his lifelong interest in history, science, music, and the connection of cultures from all over the world.
As a student of Arabic and Turkish music, his name can also be found attached to several albums of acoustic instrumental music for the American belly dance community, as well as seen at live music performances for that community throughout Texas.
Interesting concept. I like the nod to science and astronomy, but I did not care for the poetry. This is rhyming poetry. And I dislike most modern rhyming poetry. If you are a fan, then you may better appreciate it. Not my cup of tea.
