Aria Baldwin did the she ran away from her family's money, dropped out of college, and moved to Martha's Vineyard. She's lost, frightened, and unsure of herself -- but she's also falling head-over-heels with Cole Steel, whom she met onboard a sailboat in the Caribbean.
Upon her arrival to Martha's Vineyard, Aria receives a mysterious letter with a newspaper clipping from over thirty years ago, which leaves Aria with numerous questions about her mother's past. While this may not be my most favorite book by Katie Winters, I still must admit that she can really spin a tale! So much angst, hunger, and pain…wow. As per usual, the storyline is really good; the characters are annoying as all get out as so often happens; not so many agonizing plot twists and turns as in many of Katie’s books; and the ending always leaves you with a sniffle or two. This book is definitely worth your time…add it to your library today! (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and hope you’ll grab a copy, too.) ❤️

Moonlight on the Bay is book 11 in the Katama Bay series by Katie Winters and the discovery of Carmella’s late mother’s diaries…
When two women discover secrets about their mother’s past, they gain insight that change their perspectives and thoughts. Compassion, some tears, healing, difficult choices, family love and more.
This story really clarified a lot about Aria's past and why she showed up in Martha's Vineyard on Cole's doorstep. It really got at not only her past but the past of her mother and I think clarified to her why she loved studying architecture so much. Of course there is a love story - who didn't think she was going to end up with Cole?? But, in the backstory is a little bit about Carmella and Elsa's mother - and how their parents marriage wasn't exactly all that they remembered it to be. Overall, I love the stories that Katie Winters puts together and how all of the characters are woven seamlessly through her tales. Great book.
Another fun book in the Katama Bay series. Aria never felt like she fit into her wealthy family. After the family’ sailboat accident, Aria relocates and severs ties with her family. She also take a hiatus from her pursuit of an architecture degree. During her stay on Martha’s Vineyard she works at a bar and babysits for Carmella, who is involved with her own family drama reading her mother’s old diaries.
Lots of family history and drama runs through the book as secrets emerge and past relationships come to Life
Thank you to the author for this ARC. This review is my honest opinion.
I really loved this book. There's an air of mystery that penetrates the book. New mother Carmella learns more about her late mother after discovering her diaries, and she is shocked by what she reads. Aria, who has detached herself from her well-to-do family, must work hard to support herself on Martha's Vineyard. Her crush on sailor Cole has brought her to this island. I really relish the views into the past and the twists in the story line. The book is simply great !
