Shanice Gibson is dead. What replaced her was a legend.
The CIA’s newest recruit is taking her first assignment in the field to infiltrate an insidious organization known as The Seven Syndicate. In the beautiful Turks and Caicos Islands, Shanice meets Sandoval, a man of means and ambition who has a conspiracy more chilling, ingenious, and treacherous than anyone could have guessed. Abandoned by her unit with no one to turn to or trust, Shanice must stop the Syndicate before their ultimate plan of terror is unleashed on the world. In these treacherous times, we need dangerous people,
and there are none more dangerous than the Soukoyan.
This exciting tale of my new favorite character int he MPS franchise. This novella appears to be Norian's introduction to a new genre. He seemingly blends romance with suspense. He also introduces us to some aspects of magical realism by introducing a Caribbean lore, this is a brief introduction, not a deep dive. I appreciated and enjoyed the action that took place in this book and felt on edge for the duration of this book. I am a habitual predicter and just wanted to see which of my predictions were spot on and which ones were just throw aways. I am happy to say, I was right about it all. I was also lucky enough to discover a new book bae, which always makes reading more fun.
So much to say - review coming shortly but highly recommend the Love Season novellas by Norian Love from his Money, Power & Sex (MPS) series note there are 2 novels (Money, Power & Sex and Seduction) and a prequel (Donovan) before the 4 novellas that make up the L-O-V-E series (Marcus, Gibson, Ronnie & Soucouyant) and I hear another novel to continue the MPS series is coming soon -MPS 2: The Scent of Deceit... I'll share my thoughts on Soucouyant and any others in the series i've missed reviewing shortly...
