She has poetry, middle grade, picture book, novellas, and novels published under various pen names.
The leader of the Vampires wants Tamaska. Tamaska is an Event Manager who was tasked with selling The Blood Opal to the highest bidder until the gem was stolen on the night of her event.
Kodiak who was working security that night knows the Blood Opal was stolen by vampires and for some reason the Vampires want Tamaska. Kodiak is trying to juggle his duties as his Pack's Beta and protect Tamaska at the same time. Which is against his Alphas orders.
Tamaska is a hard FMC to get behind. She's Hardheaded, Onery, Rude and tries to be a Know-It-All. Every time Kodiak has tried to protect her, she refuses to listen. She now knows that Vampires are real and still she wants to do things her way.
It's understandable to be upset with Kodiak for not revealing his true self but Shifters always keep their kind hidden and undetected. Now that Tamaska knows Kodak's true identity she gets upset when he lays all the truth at her feet. As if he's to blame for everything that is going on.
This story ends on a Cliffhanger with alot of unanswered questions. Hoping for major character growth with Tamaska and that she humbles herself and learn that she will need the help of a supernatural being to fight in a supernatural war. Its also time for Kodiak to challenge for Alpha so that he can ensure that he's able to provide Tamaska the protection she needs.
This is book one of the Protector Wolf Shifter series and the main characters are Tamaska Lang, an event planner hoping to open her own business soon, and Kodiak Day, wolf shifter and part of the pack who form Shadow Protection security services. Tamaska has arranged a high class event for the auction of the Blood Opal, for OzOpals and having Kodiak and his team turn up just before the event starts, doesn’t make a good start to the event. She is being watched by her boss Carlene and needs for nothing to go wrong. Even as she argues with Kodiak, there is a pull between them! The security team sets up quickly, with Kodiak able to communicate easily with his team telepathically as they are all wolf shifters. The guests should only be humans, but he suddenly catches a smell of vampire! One of the vampires approaches Tamaska by the stage, close to the Blood Opal in its display case, using his glamour to get information from her and get past her. The lights go out and she is pushed, making Kodiak abandon the case and grab her, to stop her falling. He feels the vampire rush past, but doesn’t see them take the Blood Opal. She blames Kodiak completely for the Blood Opal being stolen and now the pack are going to lose the funds for the job as well as a good part of their reputation in the business. Unlike the vampires, they struggle for funds to make their pack and need this work to provide for everyone. The pack and the vampires have had issues over the ages and are supposedly keeping out of each other’s way through an accord, but what they want with the Blood Opal is unclear. They aren’t exactly short on funds, so why steal it?
Kodiak is the Beta of his pack, but is looking to take over from the current alpha, Olcan, who for some reason wants them to recover the Blood Opal, but not return it to Tamaska, nor help to protect her, after Kodiak had noticed the vampires seem to be targeting her! He had to save her form one in the ark when she was out for a run early the next day, not a time he would have expected a vampire to be about. That evening, Tamaska gets her best friend to go with her to the vampire club, not that she knew that was what it was before she went there! She just thought it was a bit of a sleazy nightclub in a bad area of town. Her friend Tahla goes straight to the dance floor and attracts a man Tamaska doesn’t like the look of at all and tries to pull her away. Unfortunately, she is already under the glamour of the vampire and another comes up to Tamaska and gets her to even take a drink, which she would never normally do. Kodiak and his team, Fern, Shota, Channing, Skoll, Onai and Ash, also end up at the nightclub, hoping the Blood Opal might be there, or they can find out where the vampire den is. Seeing Tamaska in danger again, he goes to rescue her and has to fight off a vampire who wants her as well. He manages to pull her behind some curtains and the two get hot and heavy, which is completely against pack rules! His alpha already has it in for him, knowing he will be challenging him soon. But the more immediate issue is why the vampires are after Tamaska and what exactly this Blood Opal will do for them! Kodiak doesn’t want to leave her unprotected, but her fear of dogs from a childhood attack, make her irrational when she sees his wolf. A bond has formed between them, but whether she can get over her irrational fear and he doesn’t get chucked out of his pack, are yet to be seen. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
DNF 18%. The level of incompetency the two MCs display is truly wild. She's an incompetent event planner who hires security for the Blood Opal mere HOURS before the event. An event that her entire career is riding on apparently and then has the nerve to be upset that the MMC arrives on time rather than early, when he just got hired for the job mere HOURS ago. He's an incompetent body guard, he spends the time he should be focusing on guarding the Blood Opal looking in her direction and watching her. She get's drugged by a vampire and he rushes to stop her from collapsing and OF COURSE the opal gets stolen. Now you would think they'd be rushing over to the case and frantically looking for the vampire but no, she is drugged and half falling over blaming him (rightfully so in my opinion, he compromised the Opal's security trying to make sure she was alright) and he spends the time making excuses for himself and fantasizing about fucking her. Now mind you, her career is basically over if they can't find this Opal and his pack's reputation as an amazing security firm gets tarnished (meaning he can't take care of or feed his pack). There is real shit on the line and he's standing there daydreaming about fucking her. Both of them, particularly him, pissed me off with their incompetency.

I was extremely surprised over this book. I usually don’t do the romance books but this one being supernatural I figured id give it shot. And this book kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I couldn’t read it fast enough to know what was going to happen next. The book was well written and took a hold of me right away, the writing of this book was so well described that it really felt like I was standing there listening in on everything that was happening. This book was filed with drama, chemistry, action, suspense, murder, supernatural beings, and so much more. Tamaska is and independent woman who is strong-willed, stubborn, hardworking, and does what she wants and doesn’t listen to anyone. Which I totally related with her the most. Kodiak was hired to protect her and really doesn’t want to and is stubborn about it too. The love hate relationship these two have was very interesting to read, because we all know they liked each other but felt the need to not show it. this book was extremely good, and I can’t wait to read the next one.
Shadow Wolf is the first story in the Protector Wolf Shifter Series. Shadow Wolf follows the adventures of Tamaska and Kodiak whom I found to be quite fascinating and intriguing at the same time. The characters are fantastically developed and beautifully executed throughout the story. Shadow Wolf is amazingly written, well balanced and beautifully executed by Lilliana Rose. Lilliana Rose continues to take me by surprise with her impressive storytelling and writing skills with each book that I have read by her so far. I’m looking forward to reading the next book to see what will happen next between Kodiak and Tamaska. I would most definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading wolf shifter romances.

Tamaska is an event planner and is sponsoring an event to sell the "Blood Opal." A co-worker, Cory, had suggested that she change security companies. So she hires Shadow Security and meets Kodiak, the lead security person. Kodiak is a wolf shifter. The wolf shifters and vampires have an understanding that they will leave each other along. When Kodiak saves Tamaska from falling, the "Blood Opal" is stolen. The vampires stole the gem and now want Tamaska's blood to make the gem work. Tamaska tries to recover the "Blood Opal" herself and finds herself in trouble. Kodiak tries to keep her safe and Tamaska has a hard time accepting this. The book is good but beware that there are at least two more books to read.
This paranormal romance kept me glued to the pages and connected to Kodiak and Tamaska who is an event planner trying to start her business. They are drawn to each other, and he is compelled to protect her. He realizes that she is his mate but is human to his wolf. Will they get their chance to find happiness.

The passionate attraction between Tamaska and Kodak makes them want to tear off each other's clothes as much as they want to hate each other. The pursuit of a missing object and the conflict with the vampires make for an interesting intrigue. A great start to the series.

I'm not completely sure how I feel about this book. I can say that neither Tamaska or Kodiak came off as the brightest crayons in the box. But at least I could tolerate him where her I did not like.

This book is full of suspense, intrigue, action and of course, romance. This is a great shifter story and an amazing start to what could be an awesome series. Can't wait to dive into the next one...

Well humanoid werewolf vampires and a human who the blood suckers want a werewolf who has found his soul mate but can't because she's human wow can't wait to read more
It’s a good action read. Good storyline. Good characters. Adult situations that I feel make this a 16+ book. But still enjoyable if you just skip those parts.
So after reading the third book.I wanted to come back to read the first. And I'm not disappointed🥰 I got to really see how the characters got to develop from this to the third. It's funny how She hated dogs and he hated humans.🤣🤣🤣 but ended up together. Opposite subtract, right? Tamaska started out way more headstrong. Even though The author touched on the blood opal, it's still a mystery to me. So that means on to the next book. I can't wait to see what happens because this one ends on a cliffhanger. I recommend reading even though it's slow-paced it's still great.
This is the first book in the Protector Wolf Shifter Series.
It is in dual POV of the two main characters, Tamaska and Kodiak.
Tamaska is a woman who is on the path to success. She is an event coordinator, and the auction of the Blood Opal may be her ticket to her own company.
Kodiak is the beta in the Wolf Shifter Pack. The pack is having to learn how to adapt to modern times. They have created the Shadow Protection company to earn an income as security. In addition to their modern job, they are meant to protect all humans. Everything had been smooth with the vampires, or was it all a smoke screen?
Kodiak and his team were last-minute security added to Tamaska's event. Immediately, they had a strong distaste for each other, but neither could deny the immense attraction. During the event, Kodiak notices the presence of vampires. While his sole duty was to stand guard at the glass case, he left his post for a mere second in order to save Tamaska, who was drugged by a vampire.
Will they get the blood opal back? Is it even possible for a relationship to blossom between Kodiak and Tamaska? One is a wolf shifter who hates humans, and the other is a human who hates dogs.
What is so special about the blood opal that makes everyone want it so badly?
I love the storyline and plot. It is a wonderful mystery of who is lying, who is on whose side, and ultimately what is everyone's motives. The heated scenes with Tamaska and Kodiak are amazing.
With saying all of that, I strongly dislike ALL of the characters.... they are all insanely immature and slightly annoying. I completely understand the push/pull dynamic with Tamaska and Kodiak, but when it is explaining their thoughts, they are very whiny and sometimes don't even make any sense. The entire Shifter pack I dislike as well. It seems that literally none of them care for each other.
I will continue to read the next book because of the storyline, and I hope the characters get better along the way.
Shadow Wolf is a new series written by an author that is new to me. Tamaska is a marketing event planner hoping to make new connections and start her own business. She meets Kodiak when he shows up with his crew to guard the Blood Opal. Kodiak and Tamaska both experience a strong connection to each other. What she doesn’t realize is that there are dangers surrounding her. Danger from Vampires and shape shifters. The question is, why do the vampires want the Blood Opal? The story is well written and the world building helped to feel connected to the story.
Shadow Wolf is the first book in the Protector Wolf Shifter Series by Lilliana Rose. This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Rose, so I really didn’t know what to expect from one of her stories. But, in all honesty, she had me at shifters and vampires- the rest was just going to be icing on the cake for me. This is a captivating paranormal romance with shifters, vampires, a precious gem called the ‘Blood Opal’, a forbidden love element, action, adventure, danger, drama, chemistry, tension, intrigue, mystery, and more. I did enjoy Tamaska and Kodiak’s story, although there were times that they frustrated me to death. I really wanted to shake them at these points and tell them to get their act/s together. The story was intriguing with plenty of suspenseful/mysterious elements that kept me turning the pages to find out what was going on. But the story ended before all the threads were tied up- and I didn’t get all the answers/developments that I was hoping for- so I imagine that the story is set to continue in the next instalment (hopefully). Bring on “Marked Wolf” (Book #2). Happy Reading…
Tamaska meets Kodiak when she hires him to work as security for an important event that she has put together where a priceless jewel is to be auctioned off. She is immediately attracted to him but refuses to allow herself to feel anything towards him. After all, not only is he staff that has been hired to work the event, but she also does not believe in one-night stands. Kodiak also feels attracted to Tamaska but tries to deny it. Not only is she a human, and he hates all humans, but he must maintain focus on the job he was hired to do.
When the priceless jewel is stolen from under their noses it is up to Kodiak to find it. He knows that it has to be the work of the vampires and sets out to get the jewel back. Tamaska blames Kodiak for the theft and wants nothing to do with him. She is determined to find the jewel and bring it back because she does not want to lose her job or her reputation. What Tamaska is unaware of is that the world she is venturing into is dangerous and that the vampires want to capture her. Kodiak must protect her, but Tamaska refuses his protection because she does not trust him.
Kodiak knows that he is the only one who can protect Tamaska from being killed by the vampires. An event that could wreak destruction and death on the world. He approaches the alpha of his pack and requests his permission but is told that he must not allow himself to be distracted by a human. Kodiak must now choose between his pack and the woman he is finding himself attracted to and feels compelled to protect.
This book was a great read with wonderful characters and a great storyline. It had action, suspense, murder, passion, vampires, wolves, and shapeshifting. I loved the shapeshifting aspect of this book and the love-hate thing that Tamaska and Kodiak had going on between them. It was obvious from the very first look between them that they were equally attracted to one another. Yet, both were allowing their pride to deny them to really act on their feelings. Tamaska is a strong-willed, stubborn, hardworking, and independent woman who is used to doing things on her own. She does not feel that she needs protection and feels that she can do everything on her own. Kodiak is not used to feeling like he should protect anyone, especially a human. He finds Tamaska bossy and pig-headed but still feels drawn to help her. Neither Tamaska nor Kodiak are used to needing another person to rely on and are used to doing things on their own, yet the attraction between them is undeniable.
This is the first book I have read by Lilliana Rose, and I was excitedly surprised at how quickly I was entranced. The synopsis grabbed my interest as I am a big Twilight fan so I wanted to give it a chance, only to be blown away. Tamaska Lane is an event planner with big career goals, that depend on tonight and the Blood Opal sale being a success. Kodiak Day is the Beta of the Shadow Pack; the wolf shifters have gotten into security to earn funds to live and provide for their pack. The moment Tamaska and Kodiak first see each other it is like an invisible tether is linking them together. Each of them fighting the magnetic pull as they try to do their jobs. In an instant everything changes and becomes more complicated, Kodiak gets a whiff of a vampire blood scent. Suddenly on high alert and looking for the source he and his team are more interested in the Blood Opal. For years the shifters and the vampires have had a treaty, they each stick to their own boundaries and don’t cross so why are they suddenly on shifter lands now. After speaking with a stranger Tamaska finds herself off kilter, and her mind a haze with details slipping her mind about him. The lights flicker once, twice and they are plunged into darkness. When the lights finally come back on the Blood Opal is gone and chaos begins, Tamaska determined to blame the “hot guard” that was more concerned with her safety than staying next to the opal. Being a last minute hire for the job Kodiak is confused about the importance of the Blood Opal, and why the vampires would want it. He is also angry at the fact his mind is drawn to a human, when he is known for his hatred of humans. Both Tamaska and Kodiak have one goal, to find out who stole the opal and return it. Kodiak wants to find it to prove his innocence and prove his competence to Tamaska. Tamaska wants to find the opal to secure her job and make things up to her boss Carlene for losing it in the first place though it couldn’t have been expected. Why do the vampires want the Blood Opal? Will Tamaska and Kodiak succeed in finding the precious gem? How will their magnetic pull affect the outcome? The world, the characters, the plot everything about this book pulls you in leading you deeper into the world of the author determined to find answers. I couldn’t put it down and sometimes found myself trying to guess what or who the thief was. I can’t wait to learn more about Tamaska and Kodiak in the next book in the series Marked Wolf, May 11th, 2023.

Paranormal romance is not my usual genre but I thought I would give it a go. The book is okay the writing is good, I think I just need to realise some genres aren’t for me and not force myself.
Tamaska is a woman with a lot on her plate and the determination to succeed, as well as a clear idea of her path in life, however, when her latest venture goes terribly wrong, she is at a loss of what to do. Kodiak is a man with talent, not to mention that he is a wolf shifter and the second in command, but he has eyes on the top spot, however, when his latest job goes south, he is determined to make things right.
When Tamaska and Kodiak lock eyes the first time they meet, they can feel something smouldering between them, but they are more focussed on work than each other, no matter how hard it is to do, but when the unexpected happens, this connection they feel causes Tamaska to blame Kodiak for how things went down, but he knows he is innocent and is determined to find out the root cause of the failure. Tamaska is also determined to get answers, but when she follows a lead, she doesn’t realise the danger she is in, or that Kodiak will be in the same place at the same time and when one thing leads to another, they cannot deny their attraction any longer, but this isn’t the only dangerous territory they encounter, Kodiak is determined to protect Tamaska, even if she doesn’t want him to.
As Kodiak continues to investigate and finds out that the vampires are involved and that they are making moves which are unusual to their previous patterns and Tamaska is slap bang in the middle of it all, but when he reports what is happening to his alpha, he is given orders he doesn’t agree with and now knowing that he has to make a choice between Tamaska and his pack, what will he do and how will she react to that decision? This is a fast paced urban fantasy where difficult choices have to be made and the consequences dealt with no matter the costs and this makes it a steamy and action packed start to this series.
This is the first book in the Protector Wolf Series and i can't wait to read more. The author has a great mixture of paranormal adventure and danger as well as a forbidden romance which gets your heart and pulse racing. I'm a huge fan of books about shifters and vampires so I was sold right from the beginning.
Tamaska is human. Her only goal in life is to succeed at what she does enough to set up her own business as an event planner. She has no idea about the dangers or supernatural beings that live alongside her. That is until one that that was supposed to change her life in a good way ends up changing it in a way she never imagined.
She hires some people to protect the rare gem she is auctioning off the Blood Opal. What she doesn't realise is the people she hired are shifters. She immediately has a distrust for the leader Kodiak but she doesn't know why. When the jewel goes missing she thinks it was him but how wrong she is. Kodiak hates humans. Can't stand them. The only reason he took this job is to earn money to provide for his pack. So what happens when he starts reacting to a female human in a way that makes him want to protect her? Why is he getting these feelings towards her and what does it mean? When he goes to her aid and takes his eye off the thing he was suppose to be protecting they now have to work together to find and reclaim the missing item. Who stole the Opal? Why do they want it? Can Kodiak and Tamaska trust each other to work together? And what is the strange feelings that keep bubbling up between then despite both of them trying to ignore and deny them?
I loved this gripping story and can't wait to see how the rest of the series unfolds.
Do you like shifters (wolves) and vampires? Do you enjoy books of forbidden love? If so, Shadow Wolf is definitely for you. Does this sound a lot like the Twilight Series? I imagine you would say yes with the information I provided. However, that is not entirely the truth.
The main characters are well-written. There is a lot of detail in the book. It is a slow read for sure. The book focuses on a stolen gem in the beginning but then slowly shifts to be more about the two main characters; Tamaska and Kodiak.
Tamaska is a human. She hates dogs. Her career is in marketing. She hires a security team last minute and puts them in charge of protecting an expensive gem called the Blood Opal.
Kodiak is a shifter; a wolf. He hates humans. In fact, the number one rule of the pack is no mating with humans as the pack is a purebred pack. He is also part of Shadow Protection, the security team hired to protect the Blood Opal.
The gem gets stolen and the hunt is on to locate the gem, save Tamaska's career, and save Kodiak and part of his pack from being thrown out of the pack.
The book leaves a lot of questions unanswered. In my opinion, the book never tells us anything other than who stole the Blood Opal which is very apparent from the start of the book. I know this is the start of a series, but I wish the book gave us more answers. For example, why was the gem stolen? What, if any, power does the Blood Opal hold? I feel that the least we could have gotten was the entire story behind the Opal. Then again, that is the point of a series; it has to make you come back for more. There were other questions I had, but those would be best explained in another book within the series.
This is my first book by this author and I loved it and the cover of the book is stunning. I am already anxiously anticipating book 2!! This story has drama, shifters, vampires, wolves and romance and I loved the names of the 2 main characters, Kodiak and Tamaska.
Tamaska is the lead whom has a Blood Opal up for bid and this may make or break on keeping her job. She has every detail planned out for this auction to happen, including the highly recommended security detail, but when plans don't go accordingly, the Blood Opal disappears.
Kodiak is a shifter and part of the security detail that Tamaska hires to protect the Blood Opal. He stops at nothing to try to make things right when the Blood Opal goes missing on his watch and comes under much scrutiny, especially in the eyes of Tamaska. When Kodiak and his team find out that vampires might be the cause of the disappearance of this opal, it is a race against time to find it.
Tamaska and Kodiak butt heads at the beginning but it turns into this deep connection, all Kodiak wants to do is find this opal and also protect Tamaska. The Vampires are dangers and hold the key to the opal and they also have Tamaska on their menu. Will Kodiak protect Tamaska when she needs it the most? Will Tamaska find out what Kodiak truly is outside of being security detail? Will Kodiak and Tamaska find the Blood Opal so it does not stay in the wrong hands?
This story is great I really enjoyed the spark between Tamaska and Kodiak and both their character growth. I am so looking forward to book 2 to see what happens next!!
This is a paranormal romance novel which contains a crime leading to a dangerous adventure. I love these types of novels as I love being able to get lost in a well-constructed world surrounded by fantasy creatures. This book did not disappoint me, it met my expectations!
From the very beginning the story is set up vey well. It is clear what Tamaska’s priorities are her aspirations and her goal at the event. You get a hint of what’s to come at the mention of the importance of the Blood Opal. The author’s descriptive writing continues throughout the book creating vivid imagery and the characters are written equally as well, if not better.
Tamaska and Kodiak are both strong individuals who are stubborn and conflicted which on occasion had me shaking my kindle in frustration as I imagined I was knocking some sense into them. I found myself really enjoying the character of Kodiak, his protective instincts and his character development (from hating all humans to not) was enjoyable and had my love for him growing as the story progressed; however I can’t say the same for Tamaska. While I loved that she seems to know what she wants from life and is her own person, I didn’t like her attitude. She did not seem to take everything into consideration before making accusations or insisting things be done her way. Even with this viewpoint of Tamaska, her personality does add to the drama of the storyline, and my love for Kodiak may be making me a little bias against her; but ultimately, I hope she has some further character development in the next book as Kodiak deserves better.
Tamaska loves her job. That is until it all went down the toilet when she was hired to coordinate an event that showed off the priceless Blood Opal. Everything was going wrong. She ended up hiring a security team last minute that came highly recommended, but still had her doubts. The head of the team, Kodiak, was a stubborn and commanding man which instantly set Tamaska off because she was just as stubborn and commanding.
Instantly there was tension between the two so when the Blood Opal disappeared, Tamaska blamed Kodiak immediately.
Meanwhile, Kodiak is a wolf shifter and realizes instantly that something more sinister is at play. It appears that the vampires are behind the theft, they have also taken a special interest in Tamaska. She decides to try to find the Blood Opal herself causing more trouble. Kodiak is trying to keep her safe from a world she knows nothing about. However, his Alpha forbade him from protecting her. He thinks that they should just focus on the vampires. Kodiak wants to do both. He is oddly attracted to Tamaska and has no idea why. Will he be able to keep her safe while keeping her oblivious to the supernatural world right under her nose?
This book was very exciting. The book starts off with a bang and never has a dull moment. I loved both characters, even though they were very similar personality wise, they were also so different and seemingly perfect for each other. The book has lots of action and some steamy scenes as well. The book ends with a lot more to come. I can’t wait for the next book to come out!
Better than Twilight, I found this story to be more exciting. Forbidden love between Kodiak and Tamaska. From the moment they met at the Opal event, the chemistry was palpable. It kept growing. When you’re a wolf like Kodiak, you can be torn because you should listen to your pack leader, even if he disagrees, but will he? This is an exciting adventure that had me from the start. I was intrigued and had to keep going to see what happened next. The characters are well written and fit right into the story perfectly. It all flowed together so well. This is a new author to me and I so look forward to reading more from her. Great job! If you love paranormal, you definitely should read this.
