She wasn’t ready to accept her magic…
but to love him she’d have to embrace it. Meredith Williams had no idea that some people were born with something extra — magic — until she learns that she is one of those people. Twenty years after her mother bound her magic, she’s now expected to accept it when all she can see is the heartbreak it’s brought.

As part of a special FBI magic task force, Special Agent Jack Knight has protected Meredith from afar, loving her but never able to tell her because of the rules that governed their world. Now it’s Jack’s job to convince Meredith that embracing her magic is the right thing to do, because if she doesn’t she’s sentencing her mother to death.

But the evil that shattered their pasts is back, and one man will do anything to obtain the power and revenge he’s waited decades for, including destroying Meredith and Jack.

Neither Jack nor Meredith is prepared for the evil that is about to descend upon them and their loved ones. Old hurts and fears take time to overcome… time they don’t have.

This story sends the reader on a journey through the tragedy of families' past and an interpersonal struggle when truths are revealed. As the past decisions of loved ones are brought to the surface of reality, the FMC has a decision to make that will change her life forever. This introduction to a magical series was intriguing and entertaining. I am interested in seeing how the series develops through each book. Good start to a paranormal adventure.

A magical emotional Rollercoaster. I highly enjoyed the book and loved the way that magic works in the universe. I felt very connected to the characters and could feel really empathetic towards them. I liked having dual perspective I felt it really added to the book.

This book did take me a little while to get into, but it had a good, well detailed plot. It was told in the third person, so you get a nice overview of all the characters. This book focuses on Meredith and Jack. I didn't connect with Meredith as much, which may be why it took me a minute to get into it. Meredith struggles with some internal demons throughout the book but has great growth. I am looking forward to book two and Jo's story!

I had the amazing opportunity to be an ARC reader for this book.

I liked the concept of the story. You have magic, secrets, and of course love. The main female character is stubborn, strong, and loves to be in control (let's be honest though, who doesn't?), until a long time secret knocks her off her feet and the love interest tries and helps her understand what is happening. It's a story of coming into yourself, finding love, and finding power.

I would definitely recommend checking this book out if you like modern day stories with magical aspects to it.

I thought this was a very solid magical story. The family history is tragic, but the survivors must pull together to stop a long brewing evil plot. It will be interesting to watch characters develop over the next few books.

I wanted to I really did but I couldn’t get past the writing style and the story line. I had to force myself to finish. While the blurb caught my eye and the story seemed great, the story felt too rushed, the explanations into how things happened were not good enough reasons and I didn’t feel like we were given enough of a back story between the two MMCs. A lot of of it was focused on the parents inability to get over their selfishness. The magic system wasn’t well explained.

This book was an amazing read. It draws you into the book with the first chapter. KJ provides a lot of insight of the history in this book that helps you understand her world of magic. I never thought I’d like the friends to lovers trope but I was dead wrong. This book was original and beautifully written. I cannot wait to start reading the second!

Couldn't finish the book. The storyline seemed like it might be interesting, but the characters, the female lead especially, were flat and complained about the same couple issues! Couldn't get into it as much as I tried.

I loved Meredith and Jack's story so much. This is a perfect start to this series!
Meredith and Jack have always been in each other's lives, but as much as Meredith wants Jack, he doesn't seem to feel the same way for her - until she gets attacked on day and her whole world turns upside down. Meredith finds out that she, and her cousins are actually witches and Jack isn't just FBI, he was her protection from the evil that wants to take her powers and use it for their own evil agenda.
Now that things are in the open, Jack is finally free to show his true feelings for Meredith while trying to get her to accept her powers and learn to use them to protect herself.
With no secrets left, things get hot a steamy between them quickly while they navigate the treats to Meredith and her family.
Even though it's a fast paced read, there is no shortage of plot and substance. There is not plot holes or things left out while building the story and suspense towards future books. Even though the story of these new witches continues on past this book, Meredith and Jack get their HEA.
I feel the books probably could be read as standalones, but it would be best to read them in order to get the most out of is since they are all intertwined and some plot points carry on past this book.
Fantastic first book in this series and I can't wait to see what happens in future books!

I don't read very much books about witches and magic, so this was a bit out of my norm. However, it was quite a read! It started out a little slow and took me a bit to get into it. That could've been because I'm not a magic reader. It does pick up and get quite interesting. The storyline was easy to follow and was quite imaginative.

This is the first book of the In Magic Series which focusses on Meredith and Jack. Meredith I found to be a character I could understand. She has been lied to by her family, friends, and Jack for almost all her life. They expect her to just accept things and move on. I found that frustrating that she was asking for time to deal with everything she has learned, but Jack didn't seem to actually give her that time. He said he would but then two days would go by and he would try again. I just found him to be annoying at these moments.

I found it to be a good story with a lot of information to begin the development of this world that KJ Warawa has created. I will definitely be reading the next book as the storyline for the main couple was resolved but the subplot still has some questions left unanswered.

Meredith is a young woman not aware of the magic that she has not be able to use since the death of her family members twenty years ago but her mother informs the family that she is about to reveal a secret to her and her cousins that may or may not change their lives for the better. Jack is a family friend and FBI agent who has been guarding Meredith for several years without her knowledge. Things are about to change drastically when her mom tells them what her and her sisters did and why and that they need to do an unbinding of their magic and what that could entail. Original story line, the characters are very entertaining. Romance, magic, danger, death, and love I purchased a copy. I volunteered an honest review.

Lost in Magic" is an enchanting paranormal romance which captivated my heart from the very first page. @kjwarawa masterfully wove a tale of adventure, romance, and excitement that left me breathless. The chemistry between the main characters is electric, and their love story made me believe in magic. The world-building is fantastic, it transported me to a magical realm full of mystery and wonder. I think that “Lost in Magic" is a must-read for anyone who loves a captivating paranormal romance with a thrilling adventure. Make sure you read the prequel “Trust in Magic” as it
sets the stage for how the rest of this series will unfold. So good!

Been a long time since a fantasy has got my attention I'm glad I picked this one up.
Between the fight with Meredith to the devotion that Jack has there isn't anything wrong with this book.
There were tears (if you read with your heart tissues will be needed)
I do have one question, (if Jack remains this supportive) Does Amazon have a copy of him on Amazon Prime and do you ship to Oz?
Jack is just a perfect balance of protectiveness too stubbornness I need him.
Meredith, while she completely has reason to be so is kind of annoying; hopefully, we see more growth in her through the series.

This novel gets a 5 star for originality and a good plot that's easy to follow. The witchy elements in this are original and give some vampire-like qualities to the witches. If you like a family vibe in your read this one hits home with it. Think big Italian family made of witches and you'll get the vibe. I gotta admit I'd love to play the drinking game three of the woman tumble into during a wine kibitzing. There is good steam, adventure and a good vs evil battle to be read here. I enjoyed the first novel and look forward to the series.

Imagine not knowing magic existed and then finding out that now only does it exist but that you are in fact magical and that your magic was bound by your own mother when you were a child! Meet Meredith, she’s strong, she’s stubborn and she’s been knocked sideways with this information about magic and how she must embrace it with the help from Jack and agent of the special FBI magic task force. It’s a great story, suspenseful, magical and full of adventure, action and a little romance and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This was a good one. It has mystery, love, magic, what else could you want?! A group of 4 adult cousins find out they have magic and have to learn how to use it all while learning things of their past they didn’t know about. You are introduced to a slew of characters that make up a family. The FMC is Meredith, one of the cousins and Jack is an FBI agent who has to deal with his past as well, the love between Meredith and Jack can only be described as the sweetest, purest kind of love that progresses throughout the book. This is the 1st book and I know the next ones will be just as good!

disappointing character death

There was an extremely disappointing and needless character death in this book that shouldn’t have happened- so two stars off for not being a HEA - I will need to think about the next book in the series.

Book needed more character development but was overall interesting except for the needless character death for three people- at least two could’ve been avoided.

I really enjoyed the book. It was easy to read and taught me an important life lesson; although sometimes it feels as if magic would be the answer to all our problems, this book has taught me that even magic can’t solve everything. Lost In Magic has been a wonderful escape from the problems of our world, and overall has many important life lessons. I cannot wait for the next book to come out, and look forward to reading the whole series.

An interesting overall plot but the writing needs more editing. Characters with depth yet not. Love scenes seem to have been added as an afterthought. They don't flow with the story nor do they match the characters. In every scene almost every character conjures up a drink which adds absolutely nothing to the plot. Stand alone book but the overall plot continues with the series. Would not read the rest of the series.

Lost in Magic book 1 in the In Magic Series. It’s the first book that I have read by this author, and I absolutely loved it. It had me hooked right from the beginning. There is mystery, magic, and secrets. This is Meridith’s and Jacks story (although they are a big part of the whole story. I cannot wait to read the next book!

As always be mindful of trigger warnings, what I like you may not.

Happy Reading!

A really good book!

Some really evil men are killing off people and children. They are also stealing the innate magic of children.
When three sisters lose their husbands and at least 1 child each they make a dramatic decision.
