Kissing a Stranger

Decker

If you ask my family, I’m wasting my life. If you ask me, I’m living it to the fullest. Am I capable of doing more? Absolutely. However, slinging drinks at the resort makes me happy. At least for now. Not that my family would understand.

It’s just another night behind the bar, until it isn’t. She’s everything I never knew I wanted wrapped up in one breathtaking package.

I’m drawn from the start, willing to do what it takes for a little more time. The problem is the sand in the hourglass is running out. Her extended stay is coming to an end, and when it does, I’ll have to let her go.

Even if I don’t want to.

Adeline

I’ve been looking forward to this weekend since my best friend announced her destination wedding. Sure, I wanted to see my oldest friend marry the love of her life, but I also needed a break from life…from my father.

However, even states away, he still manages to control my fate. I wanted one weekend. Three days without the stresses and obligations that come along with having my last name.

For the first time in my life, I ignore my father’s demands and open my eyes to what I truly want. I’m seeing everything around me in a new light, and that includes the hot bartender at the resort.

That’s how I ended up kissing a stranger.

Avid reader, writer, mother, and wife! I love to read contemporary romance. Add in a little "spice" or hot guys in uniform pants, and I'm a happy woman. There's just something about diving into a book and engrossing in the magic of your hero and heroine getting their happily ever after.

This was an easy and cute romance read with likeable characters.
Moreover, it lacked substance, had plenty of sex scenes and everything was so easily resolved in the end.

Kissing A Stranger has stolen my heart once again with its connection to a beloved series and its ability to stand alone while leaving a lasting impression. As a devoted fan, I couldn't wait to dive into the story of Dexter, the charismatic bartender, and Adeline, the determined attorney who faces familial scrutiny.

One of my absolute favorite character types is the one who undergoes a beautiful transformation, and Adeline truly shines in this regard. Witnessing her blossom into her true self, guided by the caring presence of Dexter, was a journey that tugged at my heartstrings. Her journey of self-discovery revealed a big heart, a longing to please others, and ultimately her worthiness of love and acceptance.

In turn, Adeline becomes Dexter's rock, helping him confront his own family demons and stay true to the values and promises he made to his grandfather. The endearing relationship he develops with his landlord, Marian, adds an extra layer of sweetness and serves as a source of support and guidance for both Adeline and Dexter. Marian becomes a pivotal figure, giving them exactly what they need to grow and thrive.

The love that blossoms between Dexter and Adeline during their week of no strings attached is nothing short of magical. Even with the initial intention of a limited timeframe, Dexter proves himself to be a remarkable partner - respectful, kind, and incredibly sweet. Their romance exudes authenticity and their chemistry is palpable, making every moment they share a joy to experience.

A weekend away to attend her friend’s wedding is the respite she needs from her life and her family. When the wedding doesn’t end as expected she decides to spend another week at the resort in large part to Decker, the sexy bartender. She has always done what was expected of her and his fun and flirty personality shows her what life could be like.

Decker has fought to separate himself from his past and live the life that he wants. He was attracted to Adeline from their first meeting and was happy that she would be staying the next week but would one week be enough?

Decker understands Adeline in a way that few people would while he shows Adeline that following her heart is never the wrong choice especially when it leads her to him.

What a wonderful story

Oh lord, I loved Adeline and Decker's story so much! I couldn't stop reading and yet was disappointed when I got to the end. Their chemistry was off the charts, the plot perfect and so well written. I have loved every book in this series so far. Absolutely amazing!

I really wanted to like this one.
There was nothing to their relationship besides sex. Nothing to say they were supposedly in love. One thing they shared, both are adults who were afraid to stand up to their parents. Kind of sad.
The story, what there was beyond sex, was painfully dull.
Let's hope the next author can bring a winner.

I was nervous going into this because the Kissing Games series so far has greatly disappointed me, but I've got to say, this book is my favorite of the bunch. It surprised me, but maybe because I went in with low expectations? It was an enjoyable, bingeable read. Light and fluffy, but a bit underwhelming and not entirely believable. There was a lot of telling, not showing, especially when it came to backstories. Although there was a bit of insta-love, I think this book was better paced than the previous three. The emotional connection between the two leads built over time (albeit, just a week, but at least they didn't start out practically in love with each other like the other couples in this series). This book has the least interaction between the main character and the rest of the wedding party.

Our female main character, Adeline, feels stifled by, and is sinking under the weight of, her father's expectations and demands, and she has reached her breaking point. All her life, she has done what she was told, graduating with a law degree, working 60-hour-plus weeks at her father's firm (doing work below her paygrade), and dating men who would benefit her father's political aspirations. Hailing from a prestigious Charleston family, she has very few people she can count on, one of those being her childhood best friend, Audrey, whose non-wedding she was attending. Against her father's wishes, Adeline decides to extend her stay at the Florida resort for another week, turning off her phone and living for herself for once. She hits it off with Decker, the hotel bartender, and they agree to a week-long "no strings attached" fling. Of course, it wouldn't be a romance novel if the fling didn't end in mutual feelings, and both Addi and Decker feel much more for each other than they had ever anticipated. Decker represents the freedom Adeline craves.

There are some inconsistencies when it comes to Decker's background. At one point, he states that he is "just a bartender with no post-high school education." He does this to contrast himself against Adeline's "old money" aesthetic, painting himself as a "lowly" working class man (but we learn he, in fact, is not much different from Adeline in terms of controlling family members and wealth, so this statement is a little ironic). Much later in the book, he tells Adeline that he was a baseball player in college, before dislocating his shoulder. When she asks what he did after that, he says he got a Bachelor of Arts because he "wanted to be an artist." This part made me laugh out loud, which I know was not what the author intended. A Bachelor of Arts isn't just for artists. The title itself is misleading, because you can get a B.A. in math or computer science. Anyways, it's surprising to me that this glaring inconsistency was overlooked, as it's a main part of the plot.

Some side characters seem to be thrown in there just to fill up the word count. Adeline spent two days with a new friend but then never spoke of her again, so what was the significance of this friend (aside from the fact that her parents wouldn't have approved?). I did like Marian, Decker's elderly landlady. The ending seemed a bit overly simplistic, and the conflict was resolved quickly (and turned out wasn't truly a conflict they needed to overcome). The resolution would have been the same without the separation.

If you're looking for something you can finish in a day, then this would be a good choice. But if you're looking for something with substance, you'll be left disappointed.

The Kissing Games series books are just too good to pass up. The newest in the series will be Lacey Black's Kissing a Stranger and I give it 4.5 stars.

While slightly interconnected with the others in the series, this also has the least interaction with the other characters. Adeline is one of Audrey's closest friends and in the Bridal Party but she doesn't live close to any of the other members in the wedding and when the wedding that wasn't is over she stays in Florida where the majority of her story takes place.

I really loved Adeline's leading man Decker. He was smitten from the start and he showed her all the ways she could be and should be cared for and treated. He has run away from a life he didn't want and he's living on his own terms. This is something that Adeline needs to figure out for herself. She is burdened by her family's image and plans and held back from her own goals.

In the few days that Adeline defies her father's wishes, she begins to find herself thanks to Decker.

Like I said a great addition to the series and a really enjoyable read.
.
.
.
Adeline was supposed to have the weekend away for Audrey's wedding but her father hasn't stopped contacting her and making her feel bad for the time away. His continuous endeavors and keeping her down and crushing her spirit are wearing on her more and more every day. His latest email is enough to cause her to defy him and stay in Florida. Even after the wedding is over and everyone has headed home Adeline stays.

Decker was instantly attracted to the beautiful woman in the bridal party and luckily for him she seem unattached. While working the bar during their rehearsal dinner he was lucky enough to get to talk with her a bit and everything he's learned about he likes. He's hopeful that maybe they'll get more time to talk but with the wedding a day away he doesn't imagine he will. When she stays after the wedding falls apart he's hoping that Adeline will let him get to know her a whole lot better.

While she's not usually one for casual hook-ups Adeline can't deny that she's pulled towards the handsome barman, Decker and now seems like the perfect time to slip out of her shell and find herself. Decker is so much more than she could have ever imagined and with the way he treats and spoils her she can't help but start to fall for the man.

Knowing their time is short Decker wants to spend as much time with Adeline as possible. He should distance himself because someone like Adeline could be someone to keep forever. But she has her life in Charleston and he is in Florida.
'I slip my hand around hers, her slender fingers entwining with mine, and a weird feeling settles in my chest. I feel... alive, yet so peaceful at the same time.'

When Adeline's time comes to an end it will be much harder to say goodbye than either of them thought.
"Forgetting you isn't a possibility Addi. You'll always be on my mind, and in my heart."
"Same, Decker."

Happy Reading.

This is the fourth book in the 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝐾𝑖𝑠𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐺𝑎𝑚𝑒𝑠 𝑠𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑠 and it's absolutely my favourite.

I was hooked from the first page, right to the end, and damn ..I didn't want it to end.

She has afew days away from the life she grew up in to attend her best friends wedding, but why stay behind, when everyone leaves? Well, all the questions were finally answered in this book.

Adeline, does not have an easy relationship with her parents, always needing to be perfect. She worked hard for everything she did, but was never given recognition for anything, always being cast aside. When her father makes a decision regarding her career, she decides to rebel and spend a week at the resort to just be free. With that comes the handsome and irresistible bartender Decker.

Decker, doesn't settle in one city for too long. He loves working as a bartender and living life on his own terms. He has his own problems but doesn't let that get in the way of being happy.

Adeline and Decker have this connection from the instant they lock eyes with one another, what started off as a vacation fling, quickly becomes so much more, the chemistry was off the dang charts...the steamy moments between them was so freaking 🔥....the development of their relationship was amazing and they just fell in love with each other without even realising it...perfect 🩷...But Adeline's father won't let her be happy and he will do everything he can to keep her and Decker apart...

***ARC Provided by the Author***

Decker and Adeline's story is one of the intertwined titles around a destination wedding that never happened and I enjoyed their connection to that event and to the characters who are part of the other stories in the series.

I am enjoying reading the titles about the other people who are part of the wedding and seeing how their stories unfold.

I liked the set up of this one, that he is totally not right for her, and not someone that her family would approve of her being involved with, but that is part of the reason she is initially attracted to him, that he is totally not suitable for her, at least not according to her family.

I think, at least initially, this is a big part of the attraction that she has for him, that he is gorgeous helps, but really it's the idea of making her controlling father angry that really speaks to her and makes Adilene make the decisions she does around Decker.

Of course, it ends up that there is a way around her family that will allow them to be together, although that part of the story is resolved rather quickly and I would have liked to have more time spent on that part of the story and that resolution, as it did feel that it was a little quick in relation to the rest of the events.

You don't need to have read all of the titles in this series in order to be able to connect with the characters, although all of the ones I have read have been a lot of fun and there is no reason you shouldn't read all of them, if you haven't already.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.

Kissing a Stranger by Lacey Black is the fourth book in the multi-author Kissing Games Series following a group of friends releasing this summer. Adeline finally gets a break from her father’s stifling hold on her life, when she attends her best friend’s destination wedding. The wedding may not go as planned but Adeline’s plans quickly shift to the sexy bartender, Decker, with whom she shares an instant connection. It’s supposed to be a fling that ends when she returns home, but everything was different from that very first kiss. Do they stand a chance in the real world, or will her family obligations ruin their chance at happiness?

This installment of the Kissing Games Series was the perfect blend of sweet and spicy with the way Decker showered Adeline with romance in public and turned up the heat in private! I kept wondering where I could find myself a man like that!🤪 I appreciated the authenticity of the emotions and the drama surrounding the family issues. As with the other books, there was witty banter from great supporting characters to enjoy as well! It was nice to read a quick, relatively low angst book to help me get in a different mind set today. I look forward to seeing what the author of the fifth book has in store for us!

I received an advanced review copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lacey Black is a ‘go to’ author for me, I got hooked with the Burgers & Brew Crüe and I’ve been addicted ever since!

I’ve really enjoyed the Kissing Games reads so far and Kissing A Stranger was no exception.

We knew from previous books that Adeline was interested in the bartender, Decker. While Audrey’s ‘wedding that wasn’t’ featured lightly in the story, for the most part Addi and Decker were on their own and their interactions took place mainly in Florida.

Both main characters had expectations placed heavily in their shoulders… the difference being one found the strength to walk away while the other was drowning in the forced responsibilities and pressure from family.

It was good seeing Addi relax, learn how to think about herself and what she wanted. Being away from home and work and taking time for herself was so foreign to her that it was as if she was living a different life.
Decker was good for her in more than just making her feel seen and wanted. Even when knowing that their time was coming to an end he continued to encourage Addi to follow her gut and heart and do what she thought rather than what was expected.

Lacey writes horrible people well. Addi’s dad was truly dislikable and I just wanted her to tell him where to go… but it seemed she was always gonna think about others before herself!!

Was delighted with how this story ended.
While you don’t have to read the series to enjoy the individual books it is seriously more fun knowing what’s going in with the others in the wedding party.

I am absolutely loving this road trip series! Each book being connected, yet fully standing on their own with couples who will leave a lasting impression. This book features the charismatic bartender, Dexter, and Adeline, an attorney who is under immense scrutiny from her family.

One of my favorite character types is one who blossoms into their true self. I feel like both characters did this to an extent, but Adeline really has a glow up. She has such a big heart and doesn’t want to disappoint anyone, yet Dexter helps her discover that she is valuable and worthy of being accepted.

In turn, Adeline helps Dexter to face his own family issues and show that he is sticking true to his values and the promises he made to his grandfather. His relationship with his landlord is absolutely adorable and such a sweet addition to this couple’s development. Marian is exactly what both of them needed!

The love that grows between these two over their week of no strings is everything I want in a romance. Even with the intention that things would end after a week, Dexter is extremely respectful, kind, and super sweet. Overall, I wanted even more when the book ended….there are so many more things I wanted to experience with these two!

I received a complimentary copy to review. All thoughts are my own.

✨ ARC review ✨

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

💋 Kissing a Stranger by Lacey Black

Thank you for sending my this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is the fourth book of the Kissing Games series, I've already known this author, and I love her writing. This book was another great book by her, I enjoyed every second of it, and I’ve devored it.

Decker and Adeline’s story was so lovely and magnetic. I think I’ve got a crush en Decker, he's so lovable as much as Adeline. It was a peaceful book.

Adeline came in Florida to attend to her best friend's wedding and it's the first time that she takes few days off. After the wedding cancelling, severals drinks and a hot kiss with a stranger (the gorgeous bartender) she decides to extented her stay for a week. This way she can avoid her obligations but mostly her father.
Now for once in her life she wants to be herself, enjoy life, and Decker will help her.

This book is about freedom, and Adeline is willing to do anything. I love how the author bring these two characters together, you can feel so tension, the strong attraction, the complicity between them. The way Adeline and Decker evolved was perfect. What I love the most, is the complicity they build in such a short time, it felt so real. I also love the secondary character, it add the fun and the sweetness in this book. Decker and Adeline have a past on their own but they just want to spend time together and it was magical moments. I really enjoyed it. The steamy part was also really great. I was turned on more than once.

There is just one thing I’ve missed, I would have loved to have more exchange between Adeline and her best friend Audrey, beside that this book was really worth it and I would recommended it hundred pourcent.

4.5 rounded to 5

Adeline and Decker’s vacation fling was addicting. Although this is a touch of insta-love I loved their connection and the development of their relationship. The pair didn't have unrealistic expectations for their relationship to last longer than a week.

Let me just say, Decker is beyond swoony and a top-notch book boyfriend. He’s caring, sweet, and loyal. I loved the way he paid attention to Adeline and I adored his relationship with his neighbor/landlord Marian.

There was a complexity to Adeline. She's fighting for what she wants against the expectations of her father. I loved how the story focuses on Adeline fighting and finding her way to be free.

This spicy romance has no unnecessary drama and is fast-paced. It pulled me in and I found myself reading it in less than one day. I could have easily read it in one setting.

Although this is the fourth book in the multi-author Kissing Games Series, it can be read as a standalone. My only complaint is that I wish Adeline’s friends from the series had more of a presence in this one.

I loved it! The writing is engaging and everything flows together smoothly. It's full of romance, spice, hilarious side characters, and a beautiful beach resort setting.

Addi meets Decker who is a bartender. Immediately, I questioned his background. I knew there was something that he was not disclosing. Addi is an attorney who does grunt work for her dad’s law firm. Her dad has plans for her that will be beneficial to his aspiring political career. He does not let her utilize her skills. He’s downright mentally abusive and I hated him. Anyway, I digress!

Addi and Decker agree to a temporary affair while she’s at the resort. They begin catching feelings after they get to know each other better. Spending time with Deck makes Addi realize what she’s been missing and that’s genuine connections with people who really like her and not just tolerate her because of her family name. She is really happy. This happiness is short lived when her dad shows up to bring her home. After Addi returns home, she gets clarity. Her dad is not going to change, he is not going to let her live her life. She walks away and Decker is there to get her.

I really enjoyed this story. It’s about breaking free. I was happy Addi got the courage to leave her family. I still have questions though. Addi’s dad revealed some things that just raised flags for me. I need answers.

Anyway, read this book! You won’t be disappointed.

Lacey Black's stories always leave me with a smile on my face, and Kissing A Stranger is absolutely no exception, so everyone needs this story in their lives in my opinion. Decker is a bartender who is living his best life the way he wants to at this moment despite the fact that his family isn't impressed. Adeline is being crushed under the weight of her father's expectations & control, and she just wants to live her own life. She ends up at the resort Decker works at, and the sparks are flying between them to the point that she takes more time off work for the first time in her life to have a super sexy fling. Decker makes her feel alive, and they're catching feelings quickly. However, her father isn't about to let Adeline do anything for herself, so he's going to be a real issue of course, but will she finally break away from him permanently?! This story was super sweet with heat but I also felt some anger because of her awful father since I was fully invested in her life, but I love books that make me feel all kinds of things which this one did. I couldn't get enough so I read it in one sitting, and I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I'm in love with all of the couples we've met so far. And Decker and Adeline play a great part of it.

She is in no rush to get back home, after the disaster that her friend's wedding turned out to be. Her father has made no secret what he thinks and expects of her, so she's decided to extend her stay. Meeting Decker was just the icing on the cake.

From the moment Decker saw Adeline behind the bar, he sensed she would be special. What he didn't anticipate was that in a short period of time, she would become everything to him. But when her reality comes knocking on her door, everything comes into question. And with some time apart, they both realize that nothing is right in their worlds. And when HEA shows its face they both grab it and promise to never let go.

What a way to go from a good time to HEA. This series is turning out to be one of my favorites.

A Wonderful Story

This series is amazing! I love how you get to see the worst case scenario play out through each of the main characters’ view points. Even though the reason they were all there imploded, good things happened for each of them. I absolutely love Decker and how he is with Adeline. Adeline is best friends with Audrey, the bride who was left at the alter. Her father has placed many expectations and obligations on her and expects Adeline to follow wether she likes it or not. Decker is a bartender at the resort where the wedding was supposed to take place. Decker is by far one of the best book boyfriends out there. The way he treated Adeline from day one could melt the coldest of hearts. I loved how Adeline developed and took changes throughout the story. Lacey Black created another wonderful story and can’t wait to see what’s coming next!
Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review. Even though I received this for free, I have purchased the ebook copy of this book and the rest of the series for my Kindle.

Both characters families didn’t understand them. Addie’s father was holding her back from being doing the job that she knows she is good at. He wants to use her as a glorified researcher and marry her off to someone who will help his status. When she goes to a resort for her friend’s wedding she meets Decker, the sexy bartender. And for once she is going to do something for herself and damn be the consequences.

Decker’s family doesn’t agree with his life plans either, working as a bartender. When he meets the beautiful Adeline at a wedding rehearsal and even though its suppose to be a sort of fling, things might be a bit complicated when he finds himself unwilling to let her go…

Again, loved the storyline, wanted a bit more out of it though. Everything happened so quickly and was resolved so easily. Which is not a bad thing. Just wish it had some more detailed. Loved Decker and Adeline together. Loved their chemistry. Wish Adeline stood up to her father more, but all in all good story 😊

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, secrets, and heartbreak.

The below are part of this series if you want to read those books(s) first
Kissing My Brother's Bride (The Kissing Games #1) by Molly McLain
Kissing the Rival (The Kissing Games #2) by Kaylee Ryan
Kissing My Crush (The Kissing Games #3) by C.A.Harms

This is Adeline and Decker’s story. Adeline is in town for a wedding for her friend but when that wedding does not happen, and the others leave to go back home she sticks around. There is a bartender that she would love to spend more time with. Decker is working as a bartender. They agree to spend all the time he’s not working together until she goes back home. But even with them falling every day she knows she has to go back to her life. But does she? When her father tracks her down and makes demands she has to make a choice to protect or hurt them. Which will she choose? Will they be able to have a future or will all they have is a fling?

I recommend this book.

Kissing a Stranger is the fourth book in the Kissing Games series, each book written by a different author. All of them can be read as a standalone.
Adeline is away for the weekend for her best friend’s destination wedding. At the hotel, she meets a charming bartender, Decker. While the attraction is mutual, she keeps her distance, until she extends her stay (so she doesn’t have to deal with her father and her obligations). That is the time to enjoy a bit and to explore what that attraction is.
I loved this book. Adeline is a strong woman, but lives under the thumb of her father. All she wants is his approval and a chance to prove she is worthy to work at the firm.
Decker shows her how she can enjoy life and do what she wants to do.
I like that all these books start with the wedding and how everyone deals with the aftermath and then go their own way. This is a nice, enjoyable, lazy-afternoon-in-the-sun read.

This series has been so much fun!! Each book is written by a different author but they all connect to each other. They can be read as stand-alones but you don’t want to miss the other ones! Kissing A Stranger was the fourth book in the series written by Lacey Black. It was flirty, sexy, and full of swoon!!

Adeline was ready for her besties destination wedding because she was in need of a break. Her work schedule was crazy especially since she worked for her dad. She needed to clear her mind and have fun! She wasn’t expecting to meet Decker, but the bartender caught her attention. Would she be able to spend time with him or would work get in the way?

Gah!! These two!! They knew right from the start but still tried to fight it! I loved watching them grow closer even when they knew it would end. And Decker!!! What a sweetheart!! I did not want this book to end but I knew it had to. I really hope we get an extended epilogue from all the books!!

Another great installment in the multi author Kissing Games series. This time it is Adeline's turn. We got little taste of her and the bartender in previous books so I was excited to jump into this one. The wait was worth it. I loved Decker so much. I loved the way he made Adeline feel about herself and gave her a new perspective. Adeline's father is a real piece of work that I hope karma makes a visit to like ASAP! I did not like the way he treats her and makes her feel. It made me so happy when Adeline decides to extend her vacation and just enjoy life for herself and no one else's demands. She blossoms so much in this book. Decker and Adeline set the pages on fire with their chemistry. Though the title fits this book well because Adeline kisses a stranger you can tell right away there is a true connection between them. It was hard to put this book down. I so loved the epilogue. It was so perfect for these two.

From the moment Adeline and Decker meet there is a connection and the sparks are flying. However, it was only suppose to be a vacation fling, but can it be something more?

Adeline’s life has been decided for her by her father and it isn’t what she truly wants for herself and she feels trapped. She craves freedom and she has that chance with Decker. Decker is living his life, but also spending time looking over his shoulder. These two found each other when they both needed it most.

I love how Decker is supportive of Adeline. That he knows she can have all her hopes and dreams and be free to live how she wants. These two may have started out as strangers and opposites, but they truly balance each other out and the perfect for one another.

If you’re looking for a strangers to lovers, opposites attract romance check this one out.

What a beautiful story about two people, who meet by chance, share so much in common, sparks that fly when their together, and just plain old sweet love! 5 stars for this one!
Adeline is in Florida, celebrating her best friends upcoming nuptials, but her father won't stop blowing up her phone. It's just a weekend away and her father thinks she shouldn't be there. When she meets Decker, the bartender at the resort, sparks fly between them.
Decker has been moving around for a while now, though he really likes it here in Florida. When he meets Adeline, it's instant attraction for him. When these two finally give in to their attraction, both feel something they've never felt before.
These two won my heart over! I couldn't put this book down, while not wanting their story to end either! Lacey wrote such a beautiful story here, you don't want to miss out on it!

🌸Kissing a stranger🌸
The Kissing Games #4
By Lacey Black
Rating: ⭐ 5/5
Emotions: ❤️ 5/5

Adeline and Decker’s story begins as a vacation fling. While here to attend her best friend’s wedding, Adeline finds herself attracted to bartender Decker. They have an instant connection, but both are aware that their fling will only last for the coming week.
We learn about Adeline and how she is determined to find a way to live a life she wants, without the expectation of her father.
Decker is a caring and sweet guy. His way with Adeline was nothing but beautiful.
Slowly one realizes that these are meant to be with each other. They are supportive and complement each other. At a point where they most needed it, they found each other.
Without wanting to, they fell in love. But a happy end is not as easy as it could be of course.

While this is part of the Kissing Games series, this is the perfect example of a stand alone in a series. Adeline's life has always been about what her father wants or expects of her. This trip for Audrey's wedding is the perfect excuse to get away and relax from the pressure. When the handsome bartender catches Adeline's eye and makes it clear that he is interested in what he sees, Audrey decides that maybe this is the perfect time to let loose, maybe kiss a stranger and see how that works out for her. What happens when she decides that one night with Decker isn't enough? Will she extend her stay?

A very nicely done addition to this series. Giving us just the right amount of drama, with an overload (the good kind) of naughty bits. Side note: I need to see if Reece and her hubby have a book. I give this 4 stars.

How all these amazing author have come together. Giving each one of these story a beautiful start to a new. This is number 4 in this series. A beautiful stand alone book. I would start from number 1 just to get a background from this group. This is Adeline and Decker's story. Addi decided to extend her stay at the resort. For some much needed down time. She meets Decker and they have a instant connection. They each enjoy each others company in all ways. Decker is showing Addi how amazing inside and out she is. Addi is showing Decker what it is to fall for someone and be part of more, roots. For better or worst these two will fight for each other. Addi and Decker are now longer Strangers Kissing!!!! They are now two people who found a love worth sticking around for...... LOVED their story. Can't wait for more. Lacey did it again. I couldn't put it down.
