Il concept di base resta uno dei più intriganti del filone revenge-isekai degli ultimi anni: Light, tradito e lasciato a morire nel dungeon più schifoso del regno dal suo stesso party di eroi, ottiene un gacha infinito che gli sputa fuori alleati di livello 9999.
Vendetta dolce vendetta, potere esagerato, party OP... sulla carta è un guilty pleasure perfetto.
Purtroppo il Volume 3 è quello in cui i difetti della serie iniziano a pesare di più. La trama principale vede Light allearsi temporaneamente con un gruppo di dark elf per una quest legata a un nuovo dungeon (e al solito inseguimento dei killer/traditori), ma il ritmo è a singhiozzo: lunghi tratti di chiacchiere, spiegoni ripetitivi sul sistema gacha o sul mondo, scene filler che sembrano buttate lì solo per far volume. Ci sono momenti in cui l’autore si perde in descrizioni inutili o dialoghi che girano a vuoto, e diverse scene risultano proprio insulse – tipo filler da shonen di bassa lega, senza mordente né avanzamento vero.
I punti forti rimangono però evidenti: Il concept di base continua a reggere: la soddisfazione della vendetta “slow burn”, il contrasto tra l’umiliazione iniziale di Light e il suo potere schiacciante ora.
Alcuni alleati gacha sono carismatici (soprattutto certi design e backstory che spuntano qua e là).
Le parti action, quando finalmente arrivano, sono divertenti e over-the-top come ci si aspetta da un gacha OP.

Peccato che tra un combattimento e l’altro ci siano troppe pause morte. Lo stile di scrittura è medio: funzionale, ma non brilla per fluidità o eleganza, e a tratti sembra che l’autore stia solo “riempiendo pagine” invece di spingere la storia. La traduzione J-Novel è buona, ma non può salvare un ritmo ballerino. In sintesi il concept merita di più, ma l’esecuzione qua inciampa troppo spesso.

The reason I gave it four stars was because the extra could have to me, be incorporated in the main story somehow, like his mother and father😍, it was a good touch. I like the story so far, but hope the next chapter be more about his brother and sister and one of the other party members. Looking forward to the next book.

The theme is still on revenge and now it's directed to the dark elf. An otherworldly entity began to introduce in this volume.
