First a disclaimer. I'm connected to Barb on LinkedIn but that should not detract from what I have to say.
You can get used to books that use a lot of superfluous detail to pad out the chapters and ultimately the book. It's a trait you see in almost every book you pick up in the sociology or work section of the bookshop. There is none of that in Change Management that sticks. Barb has poured her experience gained over the years as a change manager into this book so what you get is what worked, what didn't and what you can use as a change manager.
If you gained something from Lean Change Management by Jason Little and from Switch by Chip and Dan Heath, this will fill in the gaps and help apply those lessons in a real life situation. So in the spirit of the book, read this if you're a change manager and you won't regret it.

It's a useful resource for anyone looking to understand change management in a clear and straightforward way, complete with visual aids that enhance understanding and retention.
Majority of my career roles have been centered around Change Management. Grants book actually filled me with some joy and reminded me that change in organizations can happen. The biggest challenge to change management is motivating the people who will be affected by the change to embrace the change…. The author does a great job of providing a framework to get the right buy-in at the right levels, including yourself, and being authentic in the process.
Highly recommend this book for those new to change management or those looking for a refresher. Written by somebody who’s been there and done that with real examples that land the academic portions of the book. Well written and easy to digest.
Listened for free on Spotify and there's a free workbook on her website! The audio narrator was very engaging and the book is full of actionable steps.
