Beautiful Broken Vows

Most starving artists would drop to their knees for Rafael. Not me.

But I still agree to marry him.

In my small town, there’s no one more arrogant than billionaire heir Rafael Palmquist, who thinks he owns everyone and everything on the island. I thought I saw the last of him when we crossed paths over The Incident in college, but fate had other plans.

Or Raf does.

After a run-in on his fake date with my sister, Raf asks to meet. Turns out, he needs a wife to inherit his family’s art kingdom. I’m an artist who’s never made it and he promises to make my dreams come true and money for my family, in exchange for a little I do.

Raf might have my name signed on the dotted line, and his ring on my finger, but that doesn’t change the fact that I’m the only woman on the island who can resist his appeal. Pretending to be his wife blurs the lines between us, but I’m determined to be the one thing on this island that Rafael Palmquist can’t buy.

Too bad he has other ideas...

Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Triggers: breast cancer death, testicular cancer (remission), health issues, toxic relationship, bullied for ADHD

Note: gay friend and sibling from the hero’s side, neurodivergent heroine who’s also non white!!! (Not amused by the British hero…though he’s Swedish but eh).

Oof, this was one hell of a read for me, I enjoyed it a hell lot than I expected.

We have the heroine strapped for cash, a hero who won't be given his company until he's married, and two very sick meddling fathers in tow.

And we also have the incident. Which gets told waaaaaay later. Still a little hurtful.

We basically have them roped together to form a fake marriage to get what each wants, but you know feelings, and fate, and everything that is romance happen.

And I was here for all of it.

Though a little emotional romance would've been fun to explore more in detail, I still loved their development, the writing, and the banter, and oooh the steam and angst they have.

And the maturity later on, healing each other - *chef's kiss* - I was salivating for every moment.

I looooved being around these two and cannot wait for mooooore!

Until the next read, peeps.

“And I’m not playing with you either. I’m the one thing on this island you can’t have, Raf. Ever.”

This was quite a simple, cute and lighthearted, enemies to lovers/marriage of convenience romance. Raf & Emi were so good together! I liked how he understood her and admired her. Emi was such a ray of sunshine, always so kind, humble and adorable. I liked both the main characters and the side characters were a delight too. Overall, I enjoyed the book and the writing style kept me hooked. The story was simple but refreshing and the pacing was great!

ARC REVIEW

I enjoyed this book. There were so many emotions and moments in this story I loved it ❤️
The enemies to lovers trope, is always one of my favourites it brings drama, angst and funny moments into the plot. I enjoyed the convos about art and their passion for it. It made me realise there's alot more to creating it.

Emi & Raphael's fake marriage drew me in with the terms they made and how it was all going to play out. Two people who had known each other briefly in the past and holding a grudge only to make a deal and get fake married. Being two completely different personalities and trying to accept their differences to both get what they want.

Definitely a good read 💜🖤

I am so enjoying reading the books by this author as they come out and you can watch her writing mature and characters get more life like book by book.
This latest one has a hugely strong female lead but with the real world problem of ADHD. She doesn't make a mockery of it or do the unimaginable and 'cure' it as some authors might do in a fantasy world but makes us have to deal and understand it.
Our male lead is just pant wettingly (ok new word,) gorgeous. I want my own Rafael. By saying this book is 'enemies to lovers' as a troupe really down plays the whole storyline. Now I don't give spoilers, you can get them from the other reviews but this story is just so good.
They get together for their own reasons but the journey they then take is like no other.
The sex scenes are really well written, maybe too steamy for some with a delicate nature, but the book isn't written for the sex, it's the story 100%. I don't feel the sex detracts at all from the tale, in fact personally I felt it enhances the book, but hey, that's just me and my opinion.
So let's sum this up, exceptional story told from two points of view, I love getting the man's point of view. Two great characters, some secondary characters from previous books, mind blowing sex, some laugh out loud moments and others when I just wanted to bang their heads together.
What a rollercoaster of a tale. Put some time aside to read this book as it will suck you in and and not let you out until the last page. I read it in just over a day as sadly I had to sleep at some point!
What are you still reading this review for? Go out and buy it......now!

I was expecting one thing, and got something better instead.

My first reaction to Rafael Palmquist in Forbidden Flower was womanizer, manpig, a-hole and such. But what I got was instead a possessive gentleman that needed something to live for. And in enters Emi, who the last time he saw threw a drink at him for a compliment he'd given her.

Emi didnt take it as a compliment an therefore her dream of becoming a worldwide artist shattered.

But then, some years later, their paths cross again and now, they make a deal that benefits both.
But how will it end?... Two opposite personalities, stuck together.

This book was surprisingly funny, Emi is like a breath of fresh air. She struggles with her ADHD and I love the little quirks. Makes her even more human in my eyes. The impulses but also the insequrities, the hyper focusing. Struggle with feelings.

This is a reaaaaaal slow-burn and it made so much sense for these guys. The spice was on point as always. I also love the fact that Rafael is half swedish, SJ actually asked me (of all people) to help with a word in swedish. And the change that she did made a huge difference, to see it used so perfectly by Raf and the words his dad do made my little swedish heart happy.

Once again in every relationship, communication is key.

This book was so different from Forbidden Flower were Koa was such a dark and sensual guy. And here is Rafael, a cinnamon bun in disguse.

Koa is still my newest #1 Book Boyfriend.

I thank the author for the ARC and I'm always pleasantly surprised with what you write. I have and will continue give my honest opinion on every book I read.

I’m a sucker for cute romances and this enemy to lovers did not disappoint!

Emi knows Raf from college and an incident that happened between them back then, they did not like each other and since their worlds were so far apart they were able to avoid one another, until they weren’t.

He needs someone to help him satisfy his dads demands but he has no idea what his future is in for.

Definitely recommend!

Emi can’t stand Rafael Palmquist ,but they both need help. Rafael needs a wife to keep his family business and Emi needs to help her father’s illness. He can also help her become an international famous artist. They get married and learn that the opinion that they had is each other was totally wrong, but Rafael is against falling in love. Great character and storyline Highly recommended Amazing book. Love Emi she is so spunky and her relationship with Rafael is so hot. The supporting characters are awesome. This is my first book by this author definitely not my last

This was so freaking good! My girl @sjcavaletti_author does it again with this steamy, angsty, billionaire romance!

In this we follow Rafael, who gets “fake” married to Emi Kahele in order to be able to inherit his family’s company after his father.

Ugh the chemistry between these two is evident from the very beginning despite them both trying to deny it. This is a slower burn romance
Overall but the angst and banter between the two keep the story flowing so well and it’s totally worth it in the end!

I really liked the little things that Rafael would do for Emi to make things easier for her (she has ADHD). She gets very self conscious about how she gets and he helps her deal with that. The neurodivergent rep in this book is really good! The airplane scene?! Ugh so good!

Seeing Raf and Emi bond and connect over art was really sweet as well. Emi being an artist and Raf being the person running the gallery that makes her famous. It’s through their love of art that their relationship really grows into something more and it was beautiful 😍

If you like billionaire, fake marriage romances, I highly recommend this one!

5⭐️/5⭐️

I had no idea what to expect out of this book going into it, I hardly read the synopsis and I’m so glad I didn’t!! I LOVED THIS BOOK! It’s easily become one of my favourites of the year! I loved Raf and Emi. I’m a sucker for enemies to lovers/arranged marriage trope so this was way up my alley. I loved how spontaneous but whimsical Emi felt, she was amazing and I loved the ADHD representation. I loved Raf, he really tried with Emi and it was the tiny things throughout the book he did for her, stocking the freezer with ice cream, giving her his earbuds on a flight, reading up on ADHD. They are just simply perfect and I know I’m gonna be thinking about them for awhile!

SPOILERS AHEAD:

Things I liked:
* He’s got dark hair and blue eyes, a win.
* “He stepped closer, into my space again, and made it feel like our space. “I want you to be my wife.”
* Raf remembering her favourite colour while picking out wedding rings
* “Emi had a dry sense of humor, just like what I was used to with my family.”
* “Thanks for the ring.” She smiled, gazing at it with true happiness. “Pink is my favorite color.” It had been a guess. It really had. But my heart skipped a beat knowing it’d been a good one.”
* “I think the world needs art like hers again.” I meant it. Going back to college, I still remember her style. Heartfelt. Pure. Uncomfortably raw. All the best art was.”
* “A bashful smile slipped out. A compliment? He likes my legs?”
* “We’re partners in crime now, Dreamy.” He said, so casual.”
* “Still, being so close to her did something to me. And being in her home endeared her to me.”
* “You look beautiful.” She smiled in such a way it surprised me to see she cared what I thought more than I’d expected.”
* Emi asking Raf who took care of him when his mom was sick
* “She ran her fingers over the dashboard. “Guess we have each other now.” It wasn’t a loud proclamation, but it hit me like a sucker punch.”
* “She really was beautiful inside and out.”
* “When Emi wanted to, she had the power to make a person feel so appreciated and loved.”
* HE CALLED HER HONEY IN SWEDISH
* Raf looking at NATE (her nephew) drawings
* “I couldn’t help but cuddle him closer, grateful to him for making my one and only nephew feel valued.”
* “Only thing hotter than a man with a puppy is a man good with kids.”
* “Despite this, I melted. He stared at me harder than anyone had ever stared. Like he needed me.”
* “First, Emi was hands down the most attractive, sexy woman I’d ever seen without even trying.”
* BRUH HES GETTING RID OF RHIANNA BECAUSE EMI IS JEALOUS LOL
* “I’ll give every beautiful woman in this office a deserving promotion and send them away if that’s what it takes.”
* “Jealousy looks even better on you than a lace bra and Bastard Sons’ t-shirt.”
* “Everything about Emi was pretty.”
* Them seeing her Ex in public and Raf has he sitting in his lap
* “She grew bashful. “Raf… I don’t care about CJ…” “You do.” My voice rumbled in my chest. “And so do I.”
* “Because if you ever say a bad word about my wife again, this will be the last time you do.”
* He gave her his headphones during their flight to Paris
* HES READING UP ON ADHD
* “Yeah. Rafael had done it. He’d put my shattered heart back together again. And now, it beat for him.”
* HE FELL ASLEEP BY LOOKING AT HER
* “And what I’d like to see you in.” Her lips curled upward.”
* “ “My eyes only, Emi.” I hadn’t meant to sound so possessive.”
* HIM CONFESSING TO HIS SISTER HES FALLING FOR EMI
* “I raised my gaze to meet his, and I swore his ocean-blue eyes felt everything I did right now.”
* FIRST KISS FINALLY
* “He kissed the corner of my mouth. So natural. “I only care about what you imagine.”
* “But here I was. Absolutely fucking smitten. ”
* “Her short fingernails scratched the sensitive space above my ear, smoothing my hair. She smiled gently.”
* “Our corded fingers laced together. I stared at her ring.”
* “And much as I tried to just be a friend, a partner in crime, every second with him became my new favorite moment.”
* Them walking around Paris and Raf, holding her hand and kissing her
* “But then Raf caught me staring and smiled at me. Rafael’s glorious, bright, blue-sky eyes had never seemed that bright. It was like they shined just for me.”
* “Concentrate on what you’re building with Emi. You two are creating the greatest masterpiece you’ll ever know.”
* “I’d thought I’d better make the opening kid-friendly. If I wanted a family-oriented town to love art, I needed to make it easy for bored kids to be here.”
* “But it wasn’t Emi who got lucky. It was me. Because finding a needle in a haystack, one made of solid gold like this wonderful artist here, well, frankly, I never thought I’d have the chance.”
* Raf called her mom (during a fight) to ask for a lasagna recipe
* “I won’t let you down ever again, Emi. Everything is meaningless now. Palms used to be my thing, but now it feels like our thing.”
* “You smell like home and holiday all at the same time…” He smiled, letting himself be silly.”
* “No more doubts, Emi Palmquist. No more doubts.”
* “Thank you, Emi. You didn’t make just one of my dreams come true. You made them all come true. Even ones I didn’t know I’d had.”
* Raf telling his dad he doesn’t wanna be CEO so he can spend more time with Emi
* “Always my sunshine. “People love hope, Älskling. That they do.”
* “I wanted to figure out a way to make you understand I love the real you. All of you.”
* She told him that she loves him in Swedish (my heart)
* “She wasn’t a ray of sunshine. That woman was the sun.”
* “She let out a deep breath. “Rafael, we may not be kindred spirits, but you are, with no question, my soulmate.”
* “I never believed in luck before Emi. But now, I asked myself every day how this had happened.”

Bonus chapter:
* “All I care about is that you feel better. I can’t take it all away, Älskling. But I want to make it better.” My heart softened and slowed with something beautiful. “Husband… you make everything better.”

First off let's start off by saying that this is a first time author for us and we really enjoyed our first read by them. We absolutely love reading enemies to lovers romance reads so this kind of story is our perfect fix to feed our reading addiction but, by throwing in the fake relationship in the mix well love that even more.

Raf and Emi have a history and Raf is in need of a wife and thought she would be the perfect wife to pull off a fake marriage and she is perfect for him. No chance of falling in love when your perspective wife despises you. They tried to act like the perfect husband and wife but, behind the scenes and the more time the spent together it was harder it was not to catch those feelings neither of them wanted.

The story was a slow burn one where the characters have their reasons for not falling in love Emi has been burned and Raf view on marriage is all doom and glum.

The cast characters overall were amazing. Emi's dealing with ADHD and the reality of what her life looks like where you live with bullying and so forth because of a medical condition that is part of your life. She was a character that was impulsive and at times even and bit flighty but, overall she was such a sweetheart and we found her to be quite adorable. Raf we found to be a grump most of the time but, he loved the company and was a man who was compassionate and loyal to it and will do everything and anything to protect what he considers his. And Raf was so much more that what you saw on the surface.

Overall we thought this tale was quite enjoyable especially when the main characters are like oil and water. Their banter with one another had you grinning time and time again. Love a story that promotes healing among the characters hearts and that is what happened for this couple from just being together. Such a sweet romance we loved and let's not forget the meddling thrown into the mix from two meddling dads and the heat and passion that developed between Emi and Raf causing heart melting moments.

Part of the Nakiki Island series each can be read as a standalone with a some what over the top sexy and the women who do their best to stay away from them. Rafael sexy as all get out billionaire who at first you dislike but proves to be a gentleman misunderstood but a gentleman none the less, one women captured his attention the moment she threw a drink at his for complimenting her. Emi sassy, with a touch of spice who has learned to deal with her ADHD, the quirks and she doesn’t apologize for being herself in fact encourages you to walk away if you don’t like it. Rafael has to get married in order to inherit his family art company. They met in college learning they were two different people who didn’t like one another now fast forward and they meet again but him needing a wife well a fake wife and she wants to get her art out there so they both kind of need each other but the elephant between them from college is an issue. Will she be strong enough to let the anger go to help her family and he needs a wife but can they work with one another to accomplish a goal, will they ever trust the other enough to open up goodness the attraction between them is intense but with each holding on to the anger, will they agree to disagree, will he keep his word in getting her art out among the right people, and can they stop long enough to see what is right in front of them, that they make each other happy?.

This was a beautifully written, second chance, enemies to lovers story that pulled on my heartstrings the whole way through. It was filled with such poignantly written emotional turmoil, angst, heartache, passion and love that you could feel oozing out of every page.

Emi and Raphael come from two completely different worlds. She’s flighty, sassy, eccentric, messy and passionate, where he is strong, demanding, compulsive, and workaholic. They started off on the wrong foot while in collage and held onto that anger for one another even years later. But when Emi’s family needs help and Raphael himself needs help, he presents a unique and crazy opportunity for the both of them to get what they want. Cue the fake marriage!

The journey they take us on is one that kept squeezing my heart continually and hoping that Emi and Raphael would finally let their guards down and open up to one another. If they could do that, they would be the perfect couple.

This may be slow burn, but DAMN - Emi and Raphael’s chemistry was crazy hot and definitely had my toes curling and my panties melting.

Emi and Raphael sucked me into their story, had me cracking up with laugher and just plain old gushing with love for the two of them.

I loved this story and I can’t wait to see whose love story this amazing author gives us next.

ARC Review

Beautiful Broken Vows by S.J Cavaletti

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review, which I happily leave below.

Emi & Rafael couldn’t be more different and really don’t like each other (or so it seems), but when both find themselves trying to do the right thing for their families, they find they might just be perfect for each other. Rafe is grumpy, loyal & determined to take over his family business. Emi appears to most to be impulsive, flighty and unorganized, but a lot of this due to her ADHD. Underneath it all she has a heart of gold, brightens everywhere she goes and is a very talented artist. I thought I might find her a bit annoying, but think her condition was handled sensitively. Rafe is hiding an artistic, caring man under his gruff exterior. When they agree to a fake marriage to help him get his business and for her to help her dad they both think it will be purely a business deal, but it soon becomes clear they had the wrong impression of each other and sparks start to fly, but take a while to ignite.

Rafe’s past & Emu’s impulsiveness gets in their way, but their connection is too strong to be broken completely and they get the HEA we want for them.

This is my first read of this author, but it won’t be my last.

I think it missed something. You should read it. It's worth it even tho it's not really finished at some places.

The plot. Well it was kinda strange to be honest. And in my opinion it lacked plot twist, this dramatic moment that bring us heartache.

Their fight wasn't that moment. Yes her idea was cute and sentimental and kinda wrong because she shouldn't have went through his closet. His reaction well it was kinda justified but wrong too. He shouldn't have yelled at her. And her reaction was again kinda justified and kinda not.

For me it just lacked something. Even the 3rd chapter I think it was why had she had the urge to go to Raf and Leilani's date. What was the point?

Overall sweet book. Our main characters are super cute and are definitely soulmates. Emi is very colorful, bright, sweet and has ADHD. Raf isn't our typical asshole CEO billionaire. Well kinda he was in moments. But in most of the times he was sweet.

The epilog was a little bit in all the places. We have several time skips, and we have a little bit for the other book ( at least I think I haven't researched).

I absolutely live for an enemies to lovers romance, and throw in a fake relationship, and im a goner.
Emi and Raf met at college, and one moment between them, known as the incident, meant that they had a very strong dislike for each other. However, when Rafs father tells him he will be leaving the art gallery business to someone else because he isn't married, Raf decides he needs to find a wife and quick! Raf comes to the conclusion that Emi will be the perfect wife as they will be helping each other as Raf will get to keep the business and he will help Emi become an artist who is known around the world.
I loved this book both Emi and Raf were so afraid of falling in love and they both thought they could portray the perfect married couple and leave the feelings out of it, but as we all know its never as simple as that and they can only resist each other for so long.
I really liked that Emi had ADHD and the book deals with this really well, showing the impact it has on day to day life.
This is an absolute must-read, and i can't wait to read more from this world.

I enjoyed this more than the first, I felt their relationship was a little more fleshed out

Raphael's father is threatening to not give him the company because he has no children to leave it to so he tells him he has a girlfriend

He goes on a date with Leilani but Emi storms in and tells him to leave her sister alone. She hates him because of something that happened in college and honestly I thought it must have been something horrific with the way she treats him. Anyway he decides she is perfect for a fake wife cos she hates him and wont catch feelings.

I have never read and arranged marriage where they tell everyone except the person there fooling. She tells all her sisters and her friends

By 30% her inner monologue of I hate him but my body craves him were boring.

His dad actually likes her which I was surprised by. Raf keeps saying to him you should see her art it is amazing but she never shows him it. Then we find out what happened in college and it was tame. His mum had just died and he said something to her and she took it so personal. She way overreacted!

They finally have sex and he knows he loves her but instead of telling her he just says shall we do it again so she says it was a mistake.

The third act break up was annoying. I get why he was mad but he was way harsh and he just left her knowing her condition. He then doesn't speak to her for weeks. He does a big speech at her opening but it backfires which I liked she didn't just forgive him

They finally talk and she says she forgives him but he has to prove himself before she will trust him.

There is a nice epilogue

There are some mistakes in this 'he nodded' instead of 'I nodded' & 'I didn't want you to lie to you' just to name a few.

This is a slow burn but I flew through it and I liked that when the assistant who was jealous tried to cause trouble, Emi told Raf and he said ok and moved her somewhere else. Done, other men in books should be like that

I'm kinda sad there are no more books even though there are 3 more sisters. I know the author changed her name but I've checked under that name too and nothing

They're at odds, until they aren't. - Rafael is determined to hold his position as head of his family's business. So he strikes a bargain with the most unlikely candidate to be his fake wife. He and Emi are like oil and water - they just don't mix. Or do they? Snippy banter becomes sweet kisses and sultry smiles. Angry glares become teasing glances. Avoidance becomes entanglement. Raf never thought he would love anyone as much as he came to love her. Emi never thought anyone could love her just as she was. A slow build romance but the author definitely brought the heat. A thoughtful depiction of someone with ADHD painting her joy and the man who loves her. Even when he didn't want to.

This is my second time reading something by S.J. Cavaletti, and I thought it was freaking amazing!!! Marriage of convenience is one of my all time favorite tropes, and I certainly wasn’t disappointed with Rafael and Emi. Rafael and Emi’s love story was beautifully written, and I enjoyed every second of it. Rafael was such a complex character, and I loved watching him go from an “I shall never fall in love” mindset to being head over heels in love with Emi. And Emi! I could relate to her personality so much, and I loved how spontaneous she was. This book was just incredible, and I hope to see more from Nakiki Island in the future!!!

When Rafael's father gives him his reason why he won't hand over the family business to him, he has decisions to make and it all centers on him getting married but to who. When he rests upon Emi's picture, he realizes that he knows her, but they had an unfortunate incident while in college. Will he be able to get Emi to become his wife so that he can inherit the family business. This story has some intriguing twists and turns that drew me in and kept me glued to the pages of this story.

Our second visit to the paradise of Nakiki Island brings us the story of Emi & Rafael. Having viewed the date/concert at Pele's in the previous book from another POV I had preconceived opinions of Raf, boys was I proved wrong.
I love that the story, setting and characters were very different to the previous book yet retained the Island atmosphere. I believe Maya is the sister in the next book and am eagerly awaiting her and the elusive Jas' stories.

Rafael is a controlling, arrogant, billionaire, who needs a fake wife to inherit his family’s art empire, and who better than Emi, who is an artist, and the one woman who does not fall for his charms. These two are complete opposites, but Raf has certainly met his match with Emi. This is a well written story which has family, drama, emotions, witty and sarky banter, and love, which leads to an entertaining, steamy, and small-town romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I really enjoyed Forbidden Flower and so excited to read this book which is set on same island. This story involves another Kahele sister and enjoyed the slight cross over with first book not only with learning more of the family but some events seen through Raf and Emi’s perspective.
Great engaging, interesting and intriguing characters that really grow on you as story unfolds revealing more of their history and background.
Had me laughing, tears, hot and steamy and rooting for a HEA.
Wonderful book and have feeling more Kahele sister adventures to come which I look forward to.

This book was surprisingly good. 🥰 At first I thought I would hate it and that was cause I'm a mood reader who's trying to stick to a physical tbr by drawing lots out of a cup and I was in the mood for sth dark and this was everything but. Despite that this was an amazing, heart filling book and I loved it so much. I loved the father and how Rafael made an effort to go an extra mile and confess. The characters grew together and worked out their insecurities and I love that.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Emi and Raf were so fun to read. This was a great contact marriage, haters to lovers story.

They met before and things did not go well. Raf might have misspoken and Emi might have taken things wrong.

Raf is unfeeling and cold for a reason. He is simply trying to protect himself and Emi has been burned before.

When an contract marriage works to help them both, they come to an agreement.

The writer really lets them get to know each other. They fall in love slowly while also learning to trust and let down their walls.

Enemies to lovers is one of my absolute favorite tropes, and I'm a sucker for fake dating/relationships. Combine them in a book and I'm beyond happy. This story about Emi and Raf was so much fun to read, had relatable characters, and enough sexual tension to make the book spontaneously combust. I loved Emi and her quirkiness, and how well Emi and Raf compliment each other. This is a must read.

Beautiful Broken Vows was beautiful. I loved Emi. She was amazing and so sweet. She was be no means perfect but she really cared about others. Raf was pretty awesome. He was sweet, caring, and understanding. I enjoyed seeing them fall in love and become one. Their love was beautiful and so sweet. I loved the characters so much and the lightness of this story.

What I liked about this story is that it shows us that when we really care about someone, we accept them the way they are, and do almost everything to make sure they succeed in what matters to them.
There are funny/not so funny moments, good arguments, and several kinds of relationships!
It grabs our attention from the beginning to the end!

I've received an ARC of this e-book from the author. All the opinions in this review are my own and freely given.

LOVE. IT.

Rafael might seem like a dick in the beginning, but he’s actually the sweetest. I loved this romance!!

When Emi mentioned her ADHD, I thought it’d be used incorrectly and be overdone. It wasn’t. The author used the fact that Emi suffered from what so many other grown women suffer from perfectly. I saw myself in it. It showed that people with ADHD are everywhere and all different.

An enjoyable read, I loved that the author gave us a realistic look at how someone with ADHD acts and behaves. Emi is a wonderful character, I liked Raf but found him to be a little lacking in dimension/development.
The author also gave us a little clue about who the next book will be about, I'm already looking forward to it!

I recieved a complimentary copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leavin

The book follows Emi and her college menace Raf. For personal reasons of their own they decided to enter a marriage of convenience. This book is a slow burn story that is cute and funny along the way with the perfect amount of spice. If you love a good enemies to lovers, fake marriage, small town, and billionaire troupe then this is the book for you. It's a gorgeous love story that ends in a HEA.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
