The stories of friendship, love, and second chances continue as mothers and daughters solve secrets and make new beginnings in the beautiful small beach town of Bay Harbor.

Another amazing series from Nellie Brooks, that will pull you in and, only reluctantly, let you go four volumes later. You will be hard pressed to prepare meals, go to do your usual work or even sleep. Such is the fascination the lives of the family and friends who find their best lives in Bay Harbor exert over you. With love and perseverance, the women, their partners and families come through the demands life places on them. They, sometimes fearfully and reluctantly, rise to meet their challenges, trust issues and a shortage of worldly goods to make the best of themselves. The invaluable help and support they give each other makes a pattern we could wish we were a part of. I was delighted to encounter some of the people from the last set of books, the Beach Cove series, and to meet another group who live life to the same standard and level of joy. Thanks so much! I find it hard to wait for Nellie Brooks' new series that takes place near me, in Mendocino.
I love this series. It's so relatable, filled with emotions, mystery and love. All individuals, but together working through several emotions, life's perils, helping each other. Highly recommend this series. The author seems to write with a lot of insight, vision. I will read all her books.
This took me a while to get into, especially as book 1 ended as if Kimmie and Bennett were more than friends and book 2 started with Bennett being in love with Sisley. Also in book 1 Johanna came to Bay Harbor with Mela simply because she’d always worked as Mela’s assistant and had no desire to stay with the campaign if Mela was leaving so decided the quiet life at the sea was for her. In book two it didn’t refer to her relationship with Mela at all and said she had come to Bay Harbor to recover from the death of her mother!!! If Authors are going to have characters carry over they need to get the facts straight. Also it was a surprise to hear that Charlie was Bennett’s father. That wasn’t mentioned. All of a sudden it went from Mela’s children never getting in touch (book 1) to them all moving to Harbor Bay, buying housing next door to each other! Seemed strange that Sisley (hate weird names) a single mom after a recent breakup, had a two month old baby yet was ready for romance with Bennett! However once you get past that it was a pretty good read, although a lot of permanent characters were added. Just deciding if I want to read more.
Julie, Mela, Sisley, and Bennett United At Last! 4.3***** Spoiler Alert
Sisley, and Bennett navigated romantic love as she overcame her 'Lars-trauma', while she tracked down the photo of Finn Sullivan, her deceased granddad and unwittingly expanded her family group by one more, Granddad Martin, of the candied apple shop. Charlie sold his Aussie ranch and reunited with Amelie and Bennett, who was rescued from the Smugglers Cove by Sam, Sophia fellow detective and Sisley/Julie's intuition. Morris and Johanna dated, unsure of this Morris character, hmmm. In all more couples are putting dowwnroots and growing Bar Harbor. Good for Peter's motel, but the ambiance will change as Lovie grows up. Rest in Peace now Julie, as your little girl, Mela, has grown up and has her tribe engulfing her with love. A Fair- Anticipated- Read!
A good continuation of the series. This book has more editing errors than prior books.
I enjoyed the overall plot. I think Morris and Johanna’s characters were unfortunately underdeveloped as the author dealt with three major plot points in this book - Kimmie & Travis, Sisley & Bennett, and Mela/Julie’s family. These points could have been broken into even more hooks with the first two plot points being developed too quickly - especially Kimmie’s storyline.
There were big revelations at the end of this books. Though the last revelation was devastatingly heart breaking.
However, I think *that* discovery was almost overshadowed by a certain characters sudden clairvoyance.
I am sad that there is only one more book in the series because these stories have felt like home and have been incredibly comforting overall.

Nellie Brooks has great success in writing about warm, wonderful people whom you could see living next door. They have a way of moving right into your heart. She has done it again with her third book in the Bay Harbor Series. In Seaside Rumors you will watch as she finishes weaving the loose threads of these family friends as they uncover old family secrets and find exactly where their hearts long to be, while learning to never give up. Thanks, Nellie Brooks, for giving me this advance copy. I gladly give a review for such wonderful work.
Wonderfully written story. Rumors abound in this tale of loves and secrets. New family is discovered and old loves return. So much happens and lots of things are uncovered. Sisly continues to emerge as a strong woman. Loved reuniting with the Beach Cove Inn bunch. I totally enjoyed reading this and highly recommend it. Well worth reading. I received a free copy of this book and this is my voluntary, honest review.
My favorite story so far in this wonderful series! I was riveted as always by the enchanting writing and beautiful setting. Oh how I long for the beach and a walk by the sea each time I read one of these books! I so enjoyed discovering more about some of the secrets of Bay Harbor! I love all the characters in Seaside Rumors, but I was especially excited about Sisley’s and Kimmie’s storylines this time. I also adored reconnecting with the amazing ladies from Beach Cove! Best of two worlds :-)
So much is happening and so many wonderful characters to explore it with. Going from a lack of family to a village of people to love and support you is a wonderful feeling. Whether by blood or by being added by chance this story and the series is so uplifting . Hearts have healed and love has found its way. Enjoy!
This third book in the series was so good I read it in less than 2 days. I couldn't put it down wanting to learn how things were working out for each of the characters. I love that this family is so close and enjoys being with one another. I also love that someone is always making the most delicious food or baked good!
When I read the three books I loved them and how they connected the previous book and the caves. Emilie went through so much in her life but to come out of this with flying colors oh what a blessing. By the way who says a family doesn't have the right to hear from loved ones who passed!
Thoroughly enjoyed the continuing story of Amelie and Mela and their extended families. To live on the beach listening to the waves break on the rocks is my happy place and so it is for the characters in these books.
Love this series, the characters are easy to remember, I can't wait to start the next one. I will be sad to read the last page of the last book, but it is a hard to put down series!
I enjoyed #1 and #2 much more than #3. I still breeze through it, still loving the characters and amazed at how they are gathering lost family members and learning the lies their predecessors told them.
low 3- these are so fruity and unrealistic and the writing is mostly elementary (also the editing in this one is so bad) but it’s feel good and i did care about finishing to see how the characters ended up
This third book in the Bay Harbor Beach series is the best yet! Wow! Just wow! The suspense is so good and the relationships developing throughout the book are excellent. Highly recommend this series!
This series just keeps getting better with the romances, the close family ties and the mysteries. I enjoyed reading about the characters and the many changes in their lives and their old loves.
Book 3. We meet Mela's daughter when she comes to visit....and brings along a lot of baggage with her. Mentally!!! Held my interest as we went on her adventure.
I've enjoyed all the books in this series. This book in particular, the Charlie/Amelie romance required too much suspension of disbelief for me however, and the Morris/Johanna romance(?) was a bit thin on substance. I do like the way Nellie Brooks writes.
