Best book in the series so far! Hands down!
I stayed up all night long reading it! I couldn't put it down. It's captivating, hot, and fucked up!
Quick Thoughts...
1. Ella is my new favorite character. I didn't expect to come out of this book feeling this way.
2. I still have a hate/love relationship with Sid.
3. Maverick is my favorite hero for sure, but I want to kick him in his fucking teeth right now. 🤷🏻♀️😂
4. Maverick and Ella are perfect for each other.

Oh Mavy. Just when I thought this series couldn’t get any better and I knew all there was to know about the Unsainted...along comes Maverick and blows it all out the water. His and Ella’s story was dark, it was intense and it was fucked up on a whole other level...but deep within this cruel man is actually a sweet, sweet broken boy who I fell so hard for.
THE CRUELEST CHAOS is book 3 in this series and it’s this one that cemented my love for KV Rose.

The Cruelest Chaos (Unsaints Book Three) wrecked me. I haven't cried from a book in some time. I had to wait to write this review as my emotions were all over the place and collect my thoughts. I hope this is not the end of the ride, because I am not ready to get off.
Book three starts where book two ended. Book three is from Mayhem and Ellas Pov. We find out why Mayhem is the way he is. Some pieces of the puzzle come together, and yet some are still missing. I just love Mayhem and Ellas' story and how well their dysfunctions just fit with each other. No worries, you will again see all the Unsaints, including Lucifer and Lilith.
There are so many twists, turns, and betrayal. I am completely addicted to the Unsaints series. I hope there is a book four. I am not ready to get off this wild ride.

"I don’t wanna go anywhere you’re not going, even if you take me straight to hell."
This series is DARK. It will make you question your own morals about what is right and wrong, but its OH SO GOOD!!!!! This book had me bawling in my bed last night while I finished. I NEED boys of ruin ASAP because K.V. Rose just broke my damn heart....
Lucifer still owns my heart forever, but Maverick? damnnnnnn boy. The thing I love about the character in these books are they are very messed up but they're self aware about how messed up they are.
Maverick and Ella were such a perfect, twisted couple. They hurt each other and healed each other at the same time. you are going to root for them even if they do some messed up stuff to each other.
I'm STILL on the fence about my feelings for Jeremiah but then while I was reading this I found myself dying for more J scenes. He's just so deliciously crazy.
I loved this book so much even if it broke my heart a little bit. I will sit here for the next couple months impatiently waiting for book 4.

What happened here??
Clearly I am in the minority, but I did not like this one at all. Book #1 was great, and Book #2 was a 5 star read for me, so it kills me to have to give this one such a low rating. But there were just so many things that didn’t work for me with this one.
First off, the H of this story is Maverick (Mavy). He is clearly messed up in that he enjoys pain, but we never really find out why. His past was pretty much a mystery throughout most of the book. His character is not really fleshed out beyond the fact that he is rich, cocky, sexually experienced, and involved in the 6 somehow. Oh, and he lives in a nice house and drives a nice car. He was just surprisingly very dull and it was frustrating not being able to really understand his demons. For someone with such a tortured past, his thoughts and behavior for the most part were relatively tame. He partied, had sex, drank and smoked, cussed, and lived a lavish lifestyle. Sure, his morals were questionable. But I wouldn’t call him “dark” or depraved.
Then there was the h Ella. She started off very interesting to me. At the beginning we find out that she has borderline personality disorder and a fascination with sick and dangerous sexual games. But after the first few chapters she literally started to morph into the same person as Sid. They were both sexually abused in the past, they both liked rough sex, and both of their men would repeatedly try to get them to open up about ‘who made them this way’. Some of the conversations between Maverick and Ella about this I swear were almost identical to the ones between Sid and Lucifer. Also, Lucifer let his friends touch Sid sexually and watch her get aroused on the bed; Maverick let his friends touch Ella sexually and watch her get aroused on the couch. It’s like the author started to lose steam and just stole some of her own ideas to create scenes. Regardless, Ella changed too much throughout the story to be believable as a character. She started off asking Maverick to hit her during sex and showed an interest in necrophilia, but by the middle of the book she was against anal sex and seemed upset by threesomes. There needed to be more consistency here with her character. Her borderline personality also miraculously disappeared. She really just seemed so random and had zero ties to the plot beyond Maverick showing an interest in her.
But perhaps my biggest issue was that there were WAY too many potential love interests in this one, or at least people Maverick was interested in sexually or emotionally. Obviously, there was Ella. But there was also his sister Sid, a “temptation” for him who he clearly is attracted to and has some sort of feelings for. Then there is Ria, who spent the entire book locked up in his basement yet played virtually no role in anything on page - funny since they seemed to be a thing in earlier books. Then there was Chelsea, the girl he would occasionally have sex with (including once in front of Ella while she was tied to a bed). Heck, there was even the nameless girl at the beginning who was having sex with one of his “brothers” who he was very aroused by. The entire book was filled with him splitting his attention and interest between so many different people that there was nothing that felt special about Ella. Even at the very end when Ella and Maverick finally become more to each other, the two of them end up in a kissing/crying/groping 3some with Lucifer! He kisses Lucifer a couple of times in the book. I was not digging that at all.
Between the repetitive dialogue/scenes and the lack of chemistry between the MCs, this whole book ended up feeling like a filler for the continuation of Sid and Lucifer’s story. Heck, even Maverick spent more time thinking about their relationship than his own. I skimmed most of this book just picking up enough to get me to the next one. I am very intrigued by Jeremiah, so I’m really hoping that one won’t be a let down. Otherwise I’ll be done with the series after that.

The Cruelest Chaos continues the Unsainted series and comes in at book number 3. Similarly to the first two book The Cruelest Chaos is a dark romance. It will have you questioning right and wrong and everything in between. Really it will take you for an amazing ride.

I realize that love is strange. It can be mad, and it can be a cruel sort of chaos. It can be violent and terrible and damaging.
It took me a while to form proper words for this review, because this book was so so good.
I wasn‘t sure how I was going to like it, since I couldn‘t sympathize with Maverick in the first two books of the series, but in this one I lovedd him. We got to see a completely different side of him, which I didn‘t even think would exist.
Even though he is really angry and reserved all the time, he can be „nice“. The way he cared for Ella and made sure she was ok and had enough to eat was so cute. They fit so perfectly in the way they complement each other.
How could you not love them? fr.
And the end...- The twists-
Actually all the turns and twists again. I loved it so much. I couldn‘t put it down. By far my favourite so far.

I am completely addicted to this world that KV Rose has created and I can't get enough.
it is dark and depraved and delicious and it definitely lines up on the list of one of the best series I've ever read!
every piece of mayhems story was amazingly written and yeah this one also had my emotions all over the place. get ready for a wild ride! that is all that I can say!
I was literally hooked from beginning to end. we learn why mayhem is the way he is and even though he is a crazy depraved man... yeah I love him still lol..
if you guys haven't started this series yet, then I highly recommend it! 5 stars of dark perfection!

Mav and Ellas book was absolutely amazing! Their love story was so explosive. This series really does just get wilder and wilder which just means better and better to me😂 I absolutely adored these two, this was very angsty and at times definitely pretty toxic, and I found myself tearing up in some parts because my heart was fully with them both. These two were meant for each other 100%. I love that KV writes romances that are not typical, and extremely dark yet so so beautiful. Also this was extremely steamy which we always love😍🔥

Io SAPEVO, me lo sentivo, che Maverick avrebbe portato una ventata d'aria fresca nelle mie giornate, lo sapevo già mentre leggevo These Monstrous Ties & Pray for Scars, dove lui è un personaggio secondario (o quasi) e dove io già ero innamorata persa, perchè chissene frega se i personaggi principali dei primi due libri erano Sid e Lucifer, io volevo Maverick subito e immediatamente ma ho dovuto aspettare, come devo aspettare anche per avere i due (ben due amisci) libri su Jeremiah Rain che già sto sbavando al solo pensiero.
Ho adorato dall'inizio alla fine Mavy con Ella, come i due si conoscono e come si sviluppa un rapporto molto deviato e particolare, perchè ovviamente entrambi hanno dei problemi (mentali intendo, qui di sano forse c'è il cane, che non c'è), ho adorato come lui cerca di proteggerla dal mondo dei 6, come cerca di tenerla all'oscuro per evitare che ci finisca dentro anche lei come c'è finito lui, non potendone più uscire.
KV Rose per me è stata una bellissima scoperta e so già che leggerò qualsiasi libro pubblicherà. La serie Unsainted merita anche per chi, come me, non è appassionato dell'argomento sette, anche se in questo libro è stato più un argomento secondario, a differenza di TMT e PFS.
I NEED JEREMIAH NOW.

Received an ARC for an honest review ...
YOWZAA.. Im just mind blown. I dived into Mav's story expecting it to be extremely twisted an fucked like TMT and PFS (dont get me wrong , ella and mav's story had its darkness and kinks .I had to remind myself that this wasnt Sid an Luces story ) WHAT i did get with this story was EMOTION! Soo much emotion to where i would get really fucking pissed off at one point and then where i felt like my heart was breaking in pieces... This was a story about 2 people with so much self hate they believed they didnt deserve love so they fed off on the bad they were shown their whole life ..but as the story went on they realized that just because they were scattered into a billion parts themselves they infact were capable an worthy of love ... The fact that this wasnt hearts and flowers doesn't mean this wasnt a love story
Because i promise you .. This was infact a love story! What drew me into this author from jump was HOW REAL the emotions felt to me like i was actually in the story thats what always keeps me coming back ladies and gentlemen! Out of the other books Rose has written so far im pretty sure TCC is now my favorite book .. Until ya know she comes out with her next. Heh. I LOVED it . 5 stars!!

KV does me in again.. seriously every book just gets better and better.
I love Maverick so much. He has a lot of demons, a lot of secrets, things are strained between him and the guys, plus navigating his relationship with Sid. My heart hurts so much for him. He’s been put through it. I mean they all have, but Mavy has a lot more heart than he shows and I felt every bit of his pain.
Ella, I also really liked her. She had problems of her own and is a little misunderstood. She craved attention and Mav wanted to give it to her 🙌🏼 He really needed someone like Ella. She can help him in ways that no one else can. She is a perfect match to his toxic, masochistic ways. They were hot and violent and I loved it.

Sweet holy hell... This author is taking me on the ride of my life. I'm not sure whether to demand to get off or hold on for dear life. So many pieces fitting together and so many that are still missing or unresolved in regards to my many unanswered questions.
I've got to hand it to this author... She has me uttering many expletives while clicking faster and faster to get to the end. Only when I get to the end I'm swearing more because it's over. This series so far has been one hell of a trip. I can't wait to see what is next.

Terrible main characters making deplorable and questionable choices. The toxicity and red flags are abundant. I'm usually not into the hot mess that this series is but this is what I was in the mood for. This kinda reminds me of an Amo Jones book but with a writing style that's more up my alley.

what….the hell did i just read? how dare the author end this book in the way she did? how is it possible for my brain to currently be on more overdrive than it was when i read the first two books in this series? i’m…simply flabbergasted. i have no words.
however, what i do know? my gut was telling me Maverick would end up being one of my favourite book men and damn was it ever correct. I simply love Maverick more than life itself - sorry not sorry.

Il mio preferito resta sempre Lucifer che proprio sul finale mi si è spezzato il cuore per lui, spero solo che nel prossimo libro Sid mi faccia ricredere perché al momento lei non si merita Lucifer, ma dopo che ho letto la lettera forse è dico forse potrei cambiare idea, quindi aspetto la storia di Jeremiah e vedere come si evolvono le cose. Comunque adoro la scrittura e la mente di K. V Rose. 😍😍😍

My favorite couple in the series so far 🙌 I love love loved maverick and Ella 👏👏 the plot dragged a little bit more in this one but these books are so addicting, so dark, and so twisted I can’t help but be pulled to them in some sort of poetic way… that being said I need the next book because I am addicted to these characters and this world 😍😍

started off really strong. then maverick pissed me off. then maverick made me smile. then maverick pissed me off AGAIN. then maverick make me cry. then maverick pissed me off. then maverick made me love him. THEN MAVERICK PISSED ME OFF. then maverick made me love him again.
also i don’t care about the other ppl in this series, so im gonna pretend this was ellamaverick’s first and only book.

This has been the one book I have no joke been counting down the months, weeks and days for and it sure as hell did not disappoint.
Just like books 1&2 of the Unsainted series, it is dark, depraved and highly addictive. Once again, another page turner that had me screaming "What the actual F" on numerous occasions.
This book focuses on Maverick and the mysterious Ella. But you still get to see what is happening with Sid and Lucifer (although not as much as I would have liked). The story picks up right where book 2 left off and gets straight in to it! Any feelings you may have had for certain characters in Unsainted 2, let me tell you now, The Cruelest Chaos will change that due to unexpected twists and turns.
Maverick. What can I say. He is one dirty dirty man. Some would say completely psychotic and terrifying. But man he is one of those guilty pleasures that you don't tell your friends about because you fear they may just check you into a mental hospital. There is so much more to him once you crack through that hard exterior and this book gives you a little look in to that.
Ella? Well, she probably is his perfect match on the crazy scale. She is obviously due to things that have happened to her. But if I am honest, I was not a fan of her character. But if I have learnt anything from K.V Rose, who know what will happen from here.
Now I am back in the same predicament I was in not long ago and back to counting down the months, weeks and days until Unsainted 4 is released. Bring on Jeremiah! I may be the only crazy person because I am 100% team Jeremiah and cannot wait to see what is next in store for this dark and twisted series that I just cannot get enough of. K.V Rose - you are a genius because these books are the shiz nit!

This mf book, you guys. I don't know what to say. Maverick wasn't my fav in first two books but now... ahhh, Mavy, my depraved, dark broken boy 🥺🖤 And Ella, that girl had been through a lot and didn't give up. I fcking love them both, my underrated babies! This couple seriously needs some hype.

Ella and Maverick are two broken souls whose hook up in the middle of the woods turned into more. Both of them are damaged characters, trying to find themselves and something good in the world. They are intense, messy and far from perfect. But their messed up kind of happiness is special and I loved it. And I really wish more readers liked these two and appreciated them!!! TEAM MAVELLA 🖤 Idk if that exists - if not, I just made it up. Deal with it! 😂
Anyway, if you started this series you know it's wild ride. KV serves another twists in this book and the whole Unsainted world gets even more complicated. Her writing and complexity of the characters is my fave thing about this series.

i’ve never felt so seen and understood than when i was reading this book. their emotions and coping mechanisms hit home so hard. seeing them call themselves bad for things that have happened, seeing them blame themselves for it opened my eyes. i see my reflection in them. the things they enjoy. how they punish themselves. how they deal with their emotions. the unending anger. (definitely the anger) it all just made me feel so so so seen. so understood.
i see myself in maverick, in ella and in them both together. it’s insane. 🖤

When it comes to dark romance, I will always count on KV Rose to give me exactly what I need. This read was a little less light, and a whole lot of darkness. I found it very different to the first two books, but in a good way. We got to know Mayhem from the first two books and the mysterious Ella. This book continued to have an intriguing plot because of the Unsaints and the 6. It took me a while to collect my thoughts after the amount of emotions endured during this read. However, it’s another book that has left me going “crap...” because the Unsaints story is not over yet and I dont know if my heart can take anymore.

I really enjoyed this read because I was intrigued by Mayhem’s character in both book two and three. He is seriously a deranged character that is so addicting. I honestly fell in love with how maddening Mayhem is, I want more of his viciousness. He is so dirty and nasty, but he has some sweetness to him that just had me melting. As for Ella, I felt really disconnected from her in the beginning. I don’t know what it was, but I gave her a chance because I know KV writes some twisted amazing characters. As the novel progressed, so did Ella’s character. She wanted loved, real love, and that was such a sweet attribute. The character progression in this one was overall my favourite of all the books so far❤️

4.5⭐️ ella n mavy were so cute😭😭 ella saying being with mav has felt like home since their first morning & mav saying thinking of ella makes him feel lucky, also mav saying he’s gonna grow up & he’s taking ella with him i can’t😭 they’re so good together. ALSO THE LUCIFERSID DRAMA OMGGGGG IK THE SEPARATION ANGST IS GONNA BE SO GOOD IN BOR & i’m so glad sid & mayhem got along☹️❤️ went from mav glaring at sid almost every time she showed up in tmt & threatening her to them writing each other letters in tcc I LOVE THAT SO MUCH.
