Not what I expected

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I had such high hopes. If you follow my reviews on Goodreads you know I read reverse harem 98% of the time. It’s my favorite, and I found it by falling in love with ménage books first. I found this book, and author, after reading a newly released Rebel Bloom book. The blurb really had me excited about this book. You have two cowboys from Texas who opened a bar in L.A. not knowing their loan was coming from the cartel. I love mafia books as well, and never read a book where cowboys were mixed up with the cartel so I had to read it! Sadly, I was knocked off my book high by not feeling much of a connection between the 3 main characters. They just didn’t click with me. There wasn’t much romance, and the spice scenes left me wanting more. There just wasn’t any action either. And this absolutely made me sad because I was so excited I had found a new author that did ménage and reverse harem. I’m not sure if I will try another of her books in the future. This one left me wanting too much more than I was given. BUT that doesn’t mean her other books are like this, so I will definitely add some more to my list and try again another day.

Get me a beer… I’m suddenly thirsty

First things first… if, like me, you’re expecting these cowboys to be ranch dwelling, horse whispering, bronco riding hotties… well, you may be a little disappointed. But only a little. They are still ripped jean, plaid wearing hotties, but these brothers have left Texas behind to seek a better and safer life in LA.

They’ve got themselves a cowboy themed little dive bar that, when we first meet Austin and Blake, is struggling to make ends meet. That is until they hire their new waitress Kat Bijou.

Totally unknown to them, Kat is also running from her own life. Not for worries over her safety, but because she’s had enough of living privileged life that has made her feel claustrophobic and shackled. She wants to go her own way, without the power and pull that her family name provides and start living the life she wants. So with just a meagre amount of savings she heads to LA to become a tattoo artist.

Easier said than done!

She’s got the talent but then in Hollywood, everyone else does too. To make ends meet she walks into a bar looking to hire… and it changes her life… in sooo many ways.

Not only does she end up in a few steamy clinches with her bosses (and let’s face it, who wouldn’t), but with just a few well liked TikTok posts and a video of her hot-as-heck bosses behind the bar, suddenly the place starts pulling in the crowds and celebs. The bar is an overnight success. And of course, the brothers cannot thank her enough, but they certainly find a few ways to show their appreciation.

But as business starts booming, the debt collectors start knocking louder. And when you owe money to dangerous people, they don’t ask politely.

Will their new found success fall to the demands of the cartel, or will Kat be able to help the brothers’ keep their bar and live their dream?

Great story. Not as danger filled and fast paced as the other two books I have read by this author, but still a great read with wholesome and loveable characters.

Just a slight mistake though… the bar changed its name part way through. Initially it was called Desert Daniels. Ruby calls it Dusty Daniels to which Kat corrects her, but then for the rest of the book it’s referred to by everyone as Dusty Daniels. Don’t get me wrong, I prefer Dusty Daniels, but it needs correcting. Otherwise, really liked it.

This is how a Reverse Harem Story is done! I honestly haven’t read many of these as it’s not something I’m into really because the ones I have read previously were just all smut with very little storyline. I really liked this one because it was the opposite a lot of storyline with some smut and it was very tasteful and not gross. So thank you to the author for that. I also really enjoyed all of the characters. The heroine was strong and wanted to support herself despite coming from money. The Cowboys while being hot as hell were hardworking and good men. It was also cool because they weren’t rich they had to work hard and struggle and I found that more relatable then a lot of other romance novels. I didn’t necessarily buy into the sort of Insta - love in this story just because they didn’t spend much time together before saying that but it was still a good book. Now I need to read the first in this series about her triplet brothers!

RH, Cartel, Surprise baby

Trigger warnings
Unknowingly other woman situation
MFM
Parental Abandonment
Cartel involvement

Kat (mfc)
Jean-Luc (married, cheater)
Austin (mmc)
Blake (mmc)
Oakley (little girl)

She was just having fun with him, not knowing he was married. With the situation with her father, she refused to be the other woman after finding out. She moves from SC to L.A. thinking she would get a job as a tattoo artist there, but has no luck. On her way to the corner store, she passes a "help wanted" sign in a bar. She gets hired by Austin and Blake, but she has no idea what she just got herself into. Rumor has it the Cartel has its hands in that bar. The brothers are in a bad way, financially speaking, regardless of if it's the Cartel or not. They are also trying to raise a little girl on their own.

There are typos, but at this point, I just accept it as usual for this author. The ending leaves questions. Also, the "extended" epilogue was included twice.

Good Book

I already loved Kat from book one and she didn’t disappoint in her own book, it was good to see her trying to make it on her own without her family money.
Austin and Blake were absolutely gorgeous in this and from the moment they met Kat they wanted her and other than the little issue with Austin not believe her about her brothers reason for being there and the other secret she discovered that day there isn’t any drama or anything bad in this love story.
Oakley was adorable and loved how cute she was.
There is a link at the end of the book to get a bonus epilogue but it’s the same epilogue that’s already in the back of this book about their new home and the visitors to their home so not sure if that’s an error.
I enjoyed this book and it’s a nice happy book with a few smexy scenes.

Ride em cowboy

This was a sweet story it had the main character from another book so this was one right after and it had her going off on her own to make a life for herself. She had the money but she wanted to do everything on her own so she moved to LA. With her and La sharing a one room apartment with this chick Ruby she found a job at Dusty Daniels which is a dive bar. She started working there and got attracted to the owners Austin and Blake. Is The story goes on they're together you know casually and she finds out that the two brothers are in pretty deep and with her social media experience which isn't a lot she gets the bar hoppen again for them. So her best friend Harper and her brothers invest in Dusty Daniels dive bar and make it work and there's just like secrets here and there and everywhere else and it's just a cute story it's it's a good little series

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Katherine "Kat" Bishop's story, and are introduced to Austin & Blake Daniels. Kat is determined to make it on her own and not on the merits of her family name. So while out looking for a job while hoping to get a tattoo job she finds a help wanted sign in the window of a bar. Though the guys don't need the help full time they could use a part time server and think that Kat is the one woman they will need for a whole lot more. Can they all find a HEA or will the people from the past make sure that none of them find that type of future?

Another amazing story by this author. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

2.5 ⭐️

It’s an okay book. Multiple POVs (which is great). Good characters with good past history of their own, an h and two H. The sex wasn’t great though, for what there was of it… with this kind of title, it was kind of inexistant… disappointing!

The plot is okay and could have been more worked on. A lot more drama/hardship could have been added, would say some problems that were in there had just disappeared without us knowing how etc… which was weird in the end since it was the whole root of the problems of the two H.

The book is not that short (the story ends at 229 pages 89% of the book) although it’s not the longest of books but it’s still has some pages on it which doesn’t seem to go anywhere really… The whole thing didn’t come together well.

Awesome Book!!!

I enjoyed reading Cowboy Daddies(Lucky Lady Reverse Harems)!!! All about Kat Bishop a twenty-two year old tattoo artist & Austin and Blake twin brothers who are twenty-nine years old and own a bar in West Hollywood, CA. She’s moved to Los Angela’s to try and make her dream come true, her own tattoo studio. But life is not everything it’s cracked up to be when you try and make it on your own terms, with no help from home. Read about Kat and Austin & Blake and how working in a dive bar could be her ticket to fame!!! Lots of emotions and some toe curling moments!! Definite Read!!!

DNF. 15%. RH and menage books are greater than 90% of what I read, so that's not the reason for the DNF. The writing is clunky, and unfortunately, I believe it's the writer's style? The dialogue is just so bad! It doesn't feel natural, even when the characters are just thinking to themselves. Oh, and there's a lot of that, too, where the author goes on and on with the dialogue happening inside of the character's heads. And the basis of the plot? Poor little rich girl cosplaying poverty? That part was exhausting too. Not my jam.

Making a decision that her family didn’t quite agree with, Kat, trades riches for rags. There definitely aren’t many people who would do what she did that’s for sure. It took complete guts. But in the meantime she meets to hot cowboys that give her a lifeline, not knowing what she would do to and for them. Riches, struggles, cartel, failing bar, chemistry and much more.

I like it

I liked it however I was a little disappointed that the author didn't write a note about Kats character since it's A copy of a real life person I think it should be noted. I've been to LA to personally see the real life Kats Tattoo shop and saw her on her TV series. So yea, just thought it should be mentioned by the author that she copied the character. Otherwise it was an adorable story.

Cowboy Daddies is book three in the series Lucky Lady by author Kai Lesy. This is one wild ride(wink-wink). It’s a continuation of book one this time it’s Kat’s story and oh what a story. It’s fairytale like - you the ones all your dreams come true with hard work and dedication. There’s bit of drama that what keeps the book from being to sweet - y’all need a little dirt to make things real good.
Enjoy!!

Riches to rags back to riches

Kat was unique in her family. She had family money but wanted to do things n her own. Moving to Los Angeles proved to be harder than she thought. She got a job working at a bar with two brothers who owned it. Her passion was actually being a tattoo artist but that hadn’t worked out yet. She and the brothers began a relationship and even with some ups and downs everyone got what they deserved in the end.

Trying to make it on her own.

Trying to make it on her own is harder than she thought it would be. Becoming a tattoo artist wasn't that hard but not using the family name made it hard to get her first job. Enter tactic singer at the country bar and things start to turn. But the lone sharks don't make getting ahead easy for the bar owner. Goodness how do they get out of debt? Fun adult read.

is it worth the risk

Kat after her break up decided she wanted to make it on her own without her family’s influence and money. She was heading for the store down the street and instead entered a bar and got a job. Not sure if it was a good idea because the owners are hot. Can they resist each other? One post changes everything. Can they survive the insuring chaos? Come n in and find out.

Yea....... Kats story......

I'm glad that Kat had a story, and it was good. Quick and easy to read.
Her struggles and luck, successes. The brothers and their mafia or cartel connection. I'm happy that was solved, and the guys did not get their legs broken.
The success of the bar... yea for country music!
Katherine Bishop.... you can Google me! That was good.
It ended well.

This was a cute quick read. The characters were easy to read about. There was however no character development not was there a ton going on plot wise. One thing that kinda was a very unrealistic, anti-climactic let down was the insta sex that Blake and Kat had, unprotected also, mind you. They had hardly even talked to one another before just going at it after her FIRST day of work at the bar. Sorry but no, that does not happen like that after only a few smiles and brushing of arms.

This book has a wonderful story line for Kat, Austin, and Blake. Their story brings some heat as well as so many feels. Kat meets Austin and Blake who are brothers when she comes into their bar looking for a job. The three of them didn’t know that their whole lives would grow better by that meeting. Their story is one that will keep you reading and wanting to savor every minute.

Awsome read

Cowboy Daddies is a great read. It follows Kat (previously met in Christmas with my best friends brothers) as she tries to build a new life in L.A.

Kat had me cheering for her successes and on the edge of my seat in some of the angst parts. I fell in love with all the characters.

it was just eh

I’ve read and thoroughly enjoyed other Kai Lesy books, but this one fell flat for me. Just an okay read. I found myself bored and almost didn’t finish. If this was the first Kai Lesy book I’d read, I probably wouldn’t have read any others by her, but I look forward to reading some of her other titles.

Well if your going to write a series and have the same characters reappear then you might want to refresh yourself on the details. At the end of book 1 Harper and the brothers have a baby boy. The end of this book they had the girl first. There were other small differences that didn’t add up as well. Overall I did enjoy the book.

Cowboy Daddies: (Lucky Lady Recess Harems)

Loved this book. So hot, so romantic with a little bit of bad guys in the mix. Surprises and family, best friend and sharing all things, good and bad. Respect and love, no secrets allowed, sharing it all. Great success for all, and the families keep growing with love.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful story.

So happy for Kat!!

Love that Kat got her HEA. She wanted to go off on her own, away from the shadow of her family. That's hard. Going from having everything to struggling for just the basics just to survive. Love this trio and Oakley is just pure adorable.

A little bit of Texas!

I love that Kat got it there on her own and made a name for herself without her family money. She proved she could do it. Her men knew right away that she was the one for them. They were not long making sure she knew it.
I love their story.

It's ok

The characters are not well developed. To much info skipped. The last part seems like it was written to meet a deadline. I recommend this for a new reader to reverse harems.
