One internal voice is all it takes to make yourself feel inadequate. But what if that voice sounds an awful lot like your own mother?
Jade may be a badass romance author on the outside, but inside she’s struggling. Unfortunately, the struggle intensifies when her mother gets injured and ends up in Jade’s spare bedroom. Juggling her over-critical mother, parenting, and the possibility of a new relationship proves to be more than Jade can handle. And when a woman shows up to stake claim on Ash, Jade’s inner demons of inadequacy roar even louder. But she’s forced to put it all aside when she’s faced with a choice that could end the life of her best friend’s child.
Ash is a clumsy and worrisome big brother. When he followed the leads to his missing brother, he never expected to find himself on a commune with three women. Let alone aiding in a homicide and disposing of the body in a flower garden. Just an ordinary day.
While Ash is glad he found his little brother safe and sound, he now needs to figure out how to handle things back home with his mother’s recent passing. What he isn’t prepared for is someone following him back to the commune. Can he convince the badass woman he’s falling for that she’s the one he wants? Or will someone get in between both of them, pushing them even farther apart?
My name is Alyssa Lynn and I live in a small town in Central Pennsylvania. I am the mom to three amazing girls and when we aren't shooting each other with Nerf guns, we're shooting each other in a game of Fortnite.
Aside from being an avid reader, I enjoy journaling, writing penpal letters, going for hikes, visiting new areas, crafting for my small business, painting, drawing, and reorganizing my bookshelves.
Oooooh boy, you guys are in for a TREAT when the re-write of this book comes out. Being part of reader teams is something I really enjoy, especially when it's for the amazing Alyssa. This book gave me all the feels, and I loved following Jade and Ash's story. I can't wait for the next one, which I know Alyssa is working very hard on!
I really loved this romance story between the two characters a lot! The book definitely kept you wanting to read more and more! I loved how as you read it, you can put yourself in the characters shoes. I really enjoyed how he stood up for her to her mother and put her mother in her place. The author definitely keeps you intrigued! Can’t wait to start reading the 3rd book and find out Kiera’s story!

Loved the second book in The Communal Coven series a lot. Alyssa Lynn continues to immerse you in the emotions that the characters are going threw. Jade and Ash are a spectacular couple that compliment each other well. I loved that Ash was Caleb’s brother. The friendships and drama in this book will have turning page after page. Good thing the 3 friends don’t hold grudges. Waiting anxiously for the third book in this series because I have questions that need answers. Who is Mick? Vince and Kiara will it happen? I voluntarily reviewed this book after receiving an arc copy for an honest review.
I think everyone has just a little bit of Jade in them. She's actually quite relatable and I found myself feeling what she was feeling while reading. I enjoyed every moment of this book and look forward to the next one. I find myself wishing I could join these girls and guys in their little community. After reading the epilog I am looking forward to continuing this series!

The ride you go on with Jade and Ash is intense! My heart was racing in good and bad ways! These characters are so real, I feel the insecurities battling the necessities inside of them! Can’t wait to read the next installment. This is one for the must read category!!! 💜
Three women moved to the country and started a commune. This is the second book, focusing on another of the three, Jade. In the first book we saw that Jade was not the most friendly person and she seemed to be under a lot of stress. In this book we learn more about her past and see a flirtation developing between her and Ash, Caleb’s brother. With her emotional issues, nothing comes easy, so it’s easy to maintain interest. And the setting...I love the setting as well as the character development. I can’t wait to read the third book!

This book isn't the type that I normally read, but I have read and enjoyed several books by this author so gave this one a try. It was an enjoyable read but I think that I was somewhat disadvantaged by not having read book one of the series, so although the characters were described, I definitely got the feeling that I had missed out on a considerable amount of their stories.
But having said that I liked the way that the characters interacted and I also like the way that Ash stood up to Jade's mother, I thought that was a really well written passage.
So although I liked this book, I really think that the first book should be read first to firstly get to know the characters, but also to see if this series is for you.

Enchanted Cavern is the second book in Alyssa Lynn’s Communal Coven series, which is a five book series. This particular story is told through the dual character perspectives of Jade and Ash.
Enchanted Cavern continues the story of happenings at Jade, Kiara and Giselle’s commune they built in the middle-of-nowhere Montana, but with lots of privacy, plentiful hiking trails and even a lakeside pavilion. This book is set at the end of summer coming into the fall season. Ash shows up on the property after he goes searching for his brother, Cal, who had happened on the property months earlier. After things settle, the story centers on the budding romance between Jade and Ash, and boy is there plenty of romantic tension present. This is complicated even further when Jade’s mother, Sandra, is staying for an extended visit to recover from an injury. Sandra is highly critical of Jade and her stay proves difficult as tensions rise, relationships are tested and things become dangerous.
Overall I enjoyed the sequel in the series, but I wanted more atmospheric presence and more Wiccan traditions present. Part of why I love reading these books (other than the fact that Alyssa is awesome) is reading and learning about Wiccan practices, so I felt it was lacking a little bit in both areas. I also wanted a bit more evil from Sandra, because who doesn’t love a good villain. But as I said, it was overall a good read and I look forward to the next books in the series.
I loved this book!!!! I think it may even be better than the first book in the series, Hallowed Trail. Jade is such a strong character and you really get to see how she is the person that she is. Ash and Jade are both so interesting with their very different personalities, it just has to make perfect sense for them to be together. I love the dynamic between Jade and her mom since it reminds me of my own dynamic with my mother. I'm not sure how I feel about what happened with Jade performing surgery on Owen but since it saved him I'm all for it. I can't wait to see what happens next, because can you say cliff hanger ending!?! Good thing Alyssa is an amazing and quick writer because I need to know what happens!
