She was kicked out of the house when she was seventeen. Almost twenty years later, she’s back, but the reception is less than warm. In fact, it’s not even room temperature. It’s frigid.

He’s a cop who has been in love with a woman of the Deranged Drifters MC since he was a teenager. A woman who married someone he considered his rival in the battle of her heart. A new woman of the club catches his eye, but can a cop every really make it work with someone related to club?

Ashley Short returns to Griffin’s Beach after nearly twenty years of being gone. After her mother was brutally murdered by a rival of the club, she turned to other ways to cope that her father didn’t approve of. In fact, she was only seventeen when he kicked her to the curb, and she’s never fully forgiven him for it.

She left her ex, Bane, along with her drug habit while he was locked up. The last thing she ever expected was for him to show up in her hometown, but show up he did. She knows she has to stay strong, but he tries to force his way back into her life. He’s almost successful, too. At least, he could have been if it hadn’t been for Grayson Tate, her next-door neighbor who just so happens to be a cop.

Bane is still out there, lurking and waiting, and after her brother, Ky, basically tells her she’s dead to him, she has very few options. Her father doesn’t believe her, not that she’s ever given him any reason to, and she can’t go to the club. Out of desperation, she decides to turn to the one person she knows could crumble any chance she has of reconciling with her family.

As Grayson and Ashley grow closer, the bigger the risk. He’s a cop, and she’s the daughter of a Drifter. They’re crazy to think it could work. But after she nearly gives up her sobriety as she wrestles with her feelings and inner demons, she does what she never thought possible. She turns to the club for help. Well, another daughter of the club.

The woman she turns to is one she never expected to grow a friendship with. Alexis Nichols is the woman Grayson was in love with. She’s a woman who was always destined to be part of the Drifters. Ashley never wanted this life. She always wanted more, but at the end of the day, this is her family.

Tempers flare, secrets come out, and Ashley’s past finally catches up to her. It threatens to cost her everything, especially the family she never thought she’d have again. But even if she wins, does it even matter if she can’t be with the one person she’s grown to love? Her entire life has been made up of a series of bad choices. Now that it’s time to woman up, what will she choose? Her family or the one person who was there when no one else was?

Logan Gray is a writer and authorpreneur who likes to create books like artists like to create art. Description is important, but she wants to allow the reader to make the story their own. While she wants to give the reader what he or she needs to see the picture she's trying to depict, she doesn't want to fill the pages with unnecessary description to restrict how the reader views the characters or places.

While this may not appeal to all readers, she hopes it appeals to others who like you add their own touch to the story. Maybe they would rather the walls be white instead of gray. Maybe they'd like to envision the person is tall instead of average height. While the description as she sees it is there, it's not written so strongly the own interpretation cannot be made and applied. It gives the reader some creative freedom in a hobby that isn't always as flexible.

Lex's character completely overshadowed and ruined the book for me a bit. She's up in everyone's business and is a bitch about it. This whole series is basically centered around her character and her importance mostly. She's calling the shots. While the book I guess was supposed to be more centered around the h Ashley and H Grayson it became watered down because of everything else. When that happens it's hard for me the reader to have any real emotion for them. It was a good plot. Another daughter of the original 10 coming back. Grayson finally getting his HEA, but it was meh. I completely skipped Mack and Erica's chapter's because I couldn't care less. Zero emotion from those two. As well as Shep and Heidi. Sex and more sex. Anytime Melanie and Jace were mentioned it brought the book down. The sexual innuendos and his 10 inch dick are seriously tiring now. We're trying way too hard. Avery and the OTT story of her getting a new foster baby was unrealistic. The system doesn't work that way anyway. Especially that fast, but I guess The Drifter's can do anything they want. The timeline in these books are confusing, as Ashley apparently wrote seven books in one month. That's a feat right there. So next book is when Colt is going to go back to being a beta asshole. I'm guessing most of the book will be about Lex and him. We'll see.

Starting to become repetitive.

The story is very good for the most part. I'm extremely tired of the God like complex that everyone has for Lex!! It's way over the top, especially in the last few books. Especially in this one. I'm at the point I just don't care for her anymore. One of the things I loved was how everyone's life was involved in the story, Which they still are to a point, but it mostly revolves around Lex and it gets old!!

Logan did a fantastic job with this story and has several different characters and couples interacting throughout the story. Ashley was only seventeen when her mother was brutally killed, and she was kicked out of the house not long after. She started taking the pills that she found that belonged to her mother, hoping they would make her life easier, but sadly she met up with her boyfriend, Bane and continued many different drugs for over twenty years. She finally decided that she wanted a different life for herself and to hopefully have her dream of writing come to fruition. Bane caught up to her again, but she held strong to her vows to stay sober. She lived next door to Grayson who was a local cop and they became friends and the lovers, but the club rules were always to never interact with cops, so she had to make a decision between the club or giving up her lover. She was treated badly by her brother and father and had no one to lean on during her struggles; except Grayson and the Lex. There's quite a few twist and turns throughout, but you need to read for yourself to find out how life for Ashley turns out. There are some editing issues throughout, but it doesn't take away from the story. Happy reading.

Ashley Short returns to Griffin’s Beach and her estranged family after a 20 year absence. But they don’t trust the ex-junkie, who’s adamant she’s clean.

This was my first book by Logan, so it took me a while to settle into the story and feel suitably ‘introduced’ to all the key players from the series. I liked how the POVs hopped around, as it allowed me to get to know a little more of the characters, however this also in places, kinda side-lined the relationship between Ashley and Grayson.

I was definitely intrigued enough to consider picking up the Deranged Drifters MC series from the start.

Like catching up with friends!

can never wait to get my hands on a book from this Author! The Deranged Drifters are like part of my family and I am always waiting to see what craziness will ensue when they all gather. Choices did not disappoint. Ashley didn’t deserve the things that happened to her, she didn’t ask for all the men in her life to be so selfish & thick headed! As for Grayson, I have been desperately waiting for him to get a happy ending and can’t be happier with how that happened! This author is an amazing writer!

Another great book to a captivating series.

I was so excited about the next book, and I completed this book in one day. I couldn't put the book down. Once again, I was sucked into the Derange Drifters MC world and I enjoyed every minute of it! Seeing so many of my favorite characters and watching their stories continue and expand had me captived through every chapter, I can't wait to read more about Lex ( my fav), while seeing Psycho. Eagerly waiting for the next book.

Ummmm

I am enjoying this series...I really am...its just I'm tired of the men being made to look like bumbling idiots who can't wipe their own hinney! They are a feared MC but now, all of a sudden, they have to have a woman stand up for them...honey please! I know Lexi is a strong character but this is carrying it too far. I get it that women can do anything but if you are going to have her run the MC by proxy give the ladies their own MC. Sheesh....

God I’m sick of reading about Lex,, each story is so Lex heavy with who are meant to be the main characters having bit parts, and her character is just getting ridiculous now…she’s turning into some sort of untouchable demi god and it’s making me dislike her more and more

I get interwoven stories but I’m skipping the Lex chapters at this point, this could’ve been a great story about Ashleys recovery and turnaround but felt like we barely got her

2.5 for the Ashley/Greyson/Diesel parts

Choices is my first read by this author and it's a really good story. However I felt a little lost with some of the storyline and I feel like that's simply because I didn't read the previous books in this series. The characters are great in this story and it has a great storyline. I can't wait to go back to the beginning of the Deranged Drifters.

Ashley, Ky's sister and Diesel's daughter, comes back to town looking to get away from her old life. She has overcome so much and finds someone she can talk to that loves her unconditionally. The book shows you that you can overcome and get another chance at life. The plot of the story is well-written. I wonder whom the next book will be about.

This book is fantastic! Ashley and Grayson are a wonderful pairing. Nothing is ever easy in life, and it isn't in this book. It deals with murder, addiction and more, yet you see two people make it through on the other end.

I loved this book and think you all will also!

Great book

This was a really good book in the series. A face from the past comes back to the club but she doesn't get a warm welcome from what is supposed to be family. She find a support and comfort from an unusual source.

Another awesome story

I really like Logan's way of telling a story. There is so much going on in this book. Logan has a way of making everything fit and make sense. So good. Can't wait to start book thirteen.
