Es muy raro el cariño que le tengo. No es mi historia favorita pero se ha ganado mi corazón. Muchos años han pasado desde que me metí por casualidad a leer manhwas bl y este fue el primero…Al fin terminé de leer mi primer bl.

Bueno, para empezar, voy a aclarar que la siguiente reseña/opinión es de la mitad de la historia, específicamente de los cap. 1-49 (el total son 116), no solo de este tomo (es que lo leí todo de corrido y sería difícil hacer una reseña por partes). Hasta ese punto es la relación de la pareja principal, luego viene el desarrollo de otra secundaria y extras.
Lo bueno es que es fácil de leer y los personajes tienen rasgos de personalidad bien definidos y bastante diferentes, por lo que se vuelven interesantes. El fandom considera esta una historia romántica, pero a mí me molesta esa idea, ya que los personajes terminan juntos por las circunstancias, pero no hay una elección consciente y libre. El alfa desde el principio tuvo las intenciones de retener al omega, utilizando falsos acuerdos (por más que lo haga por amor). El omega quería alejarse, pero al descubrir que está vinculado ya no le queda otra opción que permanecer junto al alfa. Hay un personaje secundario que va a intervenir, traicionando a su amigo, pero va a ser perdonado como si nada. En conclusión, para mi es una historia de una relación tóxica disfrazada de romance (si hasta incluso hay una escena de violación).

Actualización: Terminé de leer toda la historia hasta su final en el cap. 116. Aparecen dos parejas secundarias con personajes betas, una con alfa y otra con omega. Están también son un poco tóxica pero mucho menos que la historia principal. Lo que me gustó de ellas es que plantan la posibilidad de la paternidad mediante alternativas, algo no común en las historias omegaverse.

I know that omegaverse isn't supposed to be all that deep, but I do enjoy when authors play with it to make it be a little more interesting. In this case, Fargo uses the relationship between an alpha and a beta (both men) to mirror the way queer relationships are sometimes looked at in reality: because they can't have a biological child, there's a bit of a stigma there. It's not as good as How to Deal When Your Intimidating Neighbor is Actually an Omega 1's look at being demisexual in an omegaverse world, but it's something.

Lo leí hace ya sus 3-4 años. Terrible. Empieza mal. Acaba mal. Una relación abusiva donde las haya. Hay abuso sexual en varias ocasiones, se obliga a llevar a término un embarazo no deseado. El conflicto se resuelve de forma que parece como si el maltrato nunca hubiese ocurrido.

These stories just keep getting better. Hye-sung and Dojin are married now, Dojun and Heesoo have finally admitted their feeling for each other, and Byul is just adorable. There are some characters I’d really like to punch at the moment though. Volumes 5 better have a great makeup.

2/jul: Afegeixo la info aquí perquè el llibre no està donat d'alta. M'he llegit un spin-off titulat "Love is an illusion - The Queen" que se centra en una germana alfa de la família Park. Megatòxic per variar amb un triangle amorós que se sap des del principi com es resoldrà i no m'agrada perquè no fan bona parella... En fi, no sé què esperava, però s'ha de reconèixer que té un ritme ben addictiu ^^'
"Love is an illusion" continua amb side stories que vaig llegint de tant en tant per pura curiositat...
BL Omegaverse TODO MAL ❌. Els MC són odiosos, sobretot l'omega, i l'únic que fa suportable la sèrie són les altres parelles secundàries perquè no són tan tòxiques (tot i que també, deixa-les estar...). Tot i així, te'l llegeixes tot perquè hi ha drama contínuament. Em pensava que ja s'havia acabat, però han tret fins el chapter 99.7 (25/des/22).

Love Is An Illusion overall was a very well written enjoyable title with very pretty art. For me the most important part of a story is the ending. How I'm left feeling at the very end of the title is usually how I dissect my own opinions.

Love Is An Illusion has a lot of great features to it. The side characters are well developed, unique and hold significant weight in the plot which was a lot of fun to experience. While it really was a great ride throughout I couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed with the final ending. It wasn't bad or poorly done, in my opinion it was to simple to do such a great story justice.

In general, I would and I have recommended this title to others.

¡ESTE ES EL MEJOR VOLUMEN DE TODO "LOVE IS AN ILLUSION!"! ES INDICUTIBLE 🙌✨💕

¿Por qué lo es? Fácil, la pareja secundaria se roba absolutamente todo el foco de este volumen 🫶 ¡Son tan hermosos! Juro que en este volumen olvide todo el desagrado que sentía por Heesoo, yo ahora lo amo y lo protegeré con mi vida 🔥

Heesoo y Dojun se vuelven pareja en este volumen, ya se veía que había algo entre ellos desde el volumen anterior pero como que no se entendía bien qué era, siempre pensé que Heesoo estaba enamorado de Dojin y que por eso era tanto drama y desgrado por Hye-sung, pero nooo, resulta que al que quería era al hermano mayor 😏

Lo único bueno de este volumen sobre Hye-sung y Dojin es que AL FIN Hye-sung tuvo un poco de su propia medicina, Dojin se siente harto de que Hye-sung sea tan grosero y frío con él, tanto que no llega a casa por un día o dos (por trabajo) y no aclara las cosas cuando surgen rumores de que él está saliendo con su ex (con Hye-sung porque si manda un comunicado público desmiendo esos rumores), Y LA VERDAD ME PARECIÓ BIEN, Hye-sung es muy mierda con Dojin cuando él solo es un amor con él, ya le tocaba sufrir un poquito 😑

En fin, que Dojin regresa a casa, aclara las cosas con Hye-sung, tanto que el rubio promete que siempre le dirá "cariño" a Dojin 😅💕 Y ya, se amaban de nuevo, todo lindo, todo dulce y parece que ya tendrán una relación bonita ✨

También sale que Hye-sung se siente algo avergonzado por querer siempre tener relaciones con Dojin (cómo si al otro le molestara 😐), pero pues ya lo arreglan y Dojin le dice que siempre que quiera él lo ayuda con gusto, muy serivical el niño 😌 Son unos CALIENTES, esa es la verdad XD

Volviendo a lo que me gustó ❤️ Tremendo personaje es Dojun, es mi crush, yo amo a su hermano pero ver a ese alfa con SU beta me dejaba así 😳

La historia de Heesoo y Dojun es muy buena, tienen muchísima más química que la pareja principal, hay más drama, más sentimientos y creo que sus emociones son más puras, de verdad se enamoran él uno del otro 🥹 Lo que me parece más sorprendente es que no tienen tanto tiempo en foco como los principales y aún así logré conectar más con ellos 🫢💕

En fin, Heesoo y Dojun están juntos, hubo un problemita con el ex de Dojun; terminan su relación aunque ya se aman, secuestran y casi abusan de Heesoo, pero dado que Heesoo es TREMENDO y sabe defenderse por sí mismo, cuando Dojun llega a ayudarlo ya tiene a medio mundo sometido 😅 Ya después de eso se reconcilian, hacen el amor así súper lindo y son una pareja feliz ❤️

Ahhh, me faltó mencionar que Dojin y Hye-sung se casaron, la boda fue muy linda 🥹 Pero lo mejor es la luna de miel, se van de viaje en "familia" (más o menos porque también va Heesoo y Yoo) y los pobres recién casados no tiene un momento en paz, Dojin está de mal humor por eso y es genial 🤣 Ya después tienen su noche de bodas muy hot y el viaje mejora para los tortolitos ❤️‍🔥

Ohhh y tenemos un cierre espectacular para este volumen 🤩 ¡Se les rompe el condón a Hye-sung y Dojin en plena acción! 🤣 ¡Nuevo bebé! 💕✨

Del capítulo 86 al 100

Bueno aquí van pasando más dramas aleatorios.
Primero seguimos con la historia de Chowon y Kyung-soo, sabiendo de esos celos patológicos ambos trabajan en su relación para que Chowon los vaya superando. Esta pareja se ganó mi corazón, especialmente por Kyung-soo pues es súper lindo con Chowon.

Hay unos pocos episodios de la relación entre Heesoo y Dojun, ellos siguen muy felices juntos y muy enamorados.

Y el resto es de Dojin, Hyesung y Byul. Byul cada día más lindo, súper apegado a sus padres y la alegría de toda la familia.
Dojin y Hyesung siguen teniendo una química increíble, luego de enterarse que posiblemente Hyesung ya no pueda tener hijos pues no se preocupan de eso. El drama más grande fue que aparecieron los padres de Hyesung.
El papá solo quería aprovechar que su hijo se casó con alguien millonario y le dijo muchas cosas crueles a Hyesung. La mamá si quería disculparse pero termina de romperle el corazón a Hyesung. Por suerte él va superando está pena gracias a Dojin y a Byul.

El dibujo sigue estando excelente y en fin todo fluye, lean está historia.

The main conflicts of the main couple have died down and the new bumps in the road are rather tame in comparison to out new side couple. It's not bad as it really emphasizes how Hye-sung and Dojin have settled into married life. I do think the intensity of the drama going on with Chowon really causes a bit of an imbalance in the story. Clearly things want to shift to Heesoo but the author isn't done with Hye-sung. I personally don't have much a problem with this as I'm engaged in both storylines but one is very clearly more intense than the other. That being said, I enjoy the development going on with all the characters in this series and I like that intensity Chowon brings in. The casual sexual assault that goes on in the volume is still startling but, if you made it to volume 4, this is clearly to be expected. This is obviously not okay but the tone of such events makes it clear the author will keep going about in including it in the series. As a joke, a bonding act, whatever, it'll be in there so please, you've been warned. Aside from that, the art is very wonderful and the background work is very well done.

Genuinely, I continue reading these because Byul, Dojun, and Heesoo make it all worth it 🙏🏼

I still wish this whole story had actually been about Dojun and Heesoo because they’re far more interesting than the actual main characters. Regardless, I enjoy being able to continue reading about them. I totally get why Heesoo is all 😍 for Dojun because I also world be. I certainly don’t love his ex-husband…but whatever. As long as that NUISANCE continues to be handled, it’ll be fine.

Also. There are parts of this volume that I don’t remember reading before, but others are still familiar 🤔 Pretty sure it was because I was DEEPLY skimming at this point when I was originally reading this online 😂

Anyway. Hye-sung and Dojin continue to be idiots, and I can’t believe the end of this volume is trying to drag out the cheating drama 🤦🏻‍♀️ I swear these two don’t even share a brain cell. There’s just nothing going on in those big heads of theirs.

P.S. The way basically every single volume doesn’t escape the PRISON of Hye-sung sayjng “stop” and Dojin not listening is my thirteenth reason 😩

The story continues. It's mostly cute. Most of this volume was a side story about another couple. I admit, I really didn't care about those characters. Who are they and why should I care? I don't.

I don't get why our main Omega is still so hostile. I mean, there was a snippet of backstory, but really, it wasn't enough to make up for it. I don't get why the Alpha puts up with it. There is a hodge-podge wedding just thrown in the middle of this. There was no joy around it. It happened and done. I can't figure out what's going on with our main characters. There wasn't enough focus.

There is also a little bit about the Alpha's band. It's simply all over the place and it ended on this weird place. It's just trumped up drama. Totally fake and I really don't care. I want to like this story, but it simply didn't focus on the main characters in this story. I feel sort of cheated. The story seems to be falling apart just a bit.

Oh well. I'll go on, but I'm not loving this as much as I was. Sigh.

He leído incontables argumentos donde tratan de justificar al alfa pero sinceramente no sé cómo se han leído este BL, porque tratan de ignorar todo lo que él hizo, abusó literalmente de alguien, y no constante con eso obligó a ese alguien a que tenga su hijo cuando él no quería, creo que no estamos tomando la debida importancia de que el Omega vivió toda su vida creyendo que era alfa y que después te enteres de esa manera sinceramente es chocante y aparte tengas que dar a luz a un hijo que no quieres, con una persona que no quieres también. Y al final traten de ponerme de que él vuelve y vive feliz con el alfa y su hijo, sinceramente ha sido una de mis peores lecturas. Tengo muchos puntos negativos, como el desarrollo de personajes, la historia, cómo se abordan ciertos temas, las parejas, porque no pude encontrar ni una pareja que sea sana y tenga comunicación ,y que no se hayan conocido de manera tan estúpida y enferma.

I liked that this volume focused on Heesoo and his man. I'm rooting for them! They seem to be more mature in communicating their feelings and getting consent during intimacy. Twelve year difference age gap, but they're what 24 and 36.

Hye-sung on the other hand, I just feel so sorry for his predicament and it doesn't help that Doujin doesn't listen. When somebody says “no”, “stop”, and “don't”, it doesn't equate to encouragement to “yes”, “go”, and “do”. It's a negative trope that shows up a lot in Bl, more so in smutty BL. Some readers enjoy seeing that represented, but it's just sad and men need to respect boundaries. While Hye-sung is also a bit of trash, he's lead a rough young life so he just needs extra tlc. And maybe Doujin could provide that if they would just talk it out, communicate better, and just show some damn respect my guy.

Byul va creciendo en cada capítulo y amo verlo.
Vemos que aparecen los padres de Hyesung que solo aparecieron para aprovecharse de que su hijo se casó con un famoso, por suerte Hyesung no los perdona a ninguno, sin embargo le sigue doliendo, porque como no, es imperdonable lo que le hicieron.
Dojin lo acompaña, también vemos cómo Hyesung madura a tal punto de que el mismo hizo las cosas diferentes con su hijo, a como lo hicieron sus padres, eso es hermoso de ver.
Se ve que se sigue culpando cuando desapareció esos dos meses después del nacimiento de Byul, pero no lo culpo, entiendo sus motivos. Tenía miedo, era un niño aún.
Él mismo se da cuenta de que puede hacer las cosas diferentes y así lo hizo, y como le agradece a Dojin por la familia que le dio.

Los amo, ahora estoy leyendo el manhwa de Byul, me siento una tía orgullosa de mí niño..

Honestly, if they said what they mean and heard what they said so much “emotional damage” would be avoided. I know- people/ characters are afraid or getting hurt and blah blah and are easily embarrassed. But it gets annoying- especially about the same stuff over and over and over. Like okay- move on.
