Spring has hit Casper Creek. That means construction on Hannah Hickok’s future home with her fiancé Cooper Wyatt is finally commencing, and work on the new restaurant in town is getting close to completion. Everything should be perfect in her world. There’s just one little problem. A ghost from the past has decided to haunt the present…and he’s not a normal ghost. He’s riding a ghost horse. And, oh yeah, he’s firing a gun. Ghost bullets shouldn’t be a threat, and yet these bullets are killing people. A scarf left at one of the scenes leads Hannah to look at the area’s bootlegger past. It seems there’s a cabin not far from Casper Creek, and their ghost might have originated from there. Where has he been for the past century, though? And, more importantly, why is he back? As the bodies begin to stack up, Hannah begins to suspect they’ve got more than a murderous ghost on her hands. The human element of the equation is impossible to uncover, however. Hannah is determined to find answers. She just needs a place to start looking. It’s a fight to the finish, and ghost bullets aren’t the only thing Hannah and her friends need to worry about. There’s a new evil afoot…and this time, the gang might not be up to the challenge.
Hannah and Cooper are enjoying the last week of their holidays, things have been quiet and the remodel on the bathroom is finished along with the foundations being poured on what will be their new house down by the creek so everything is looking positive...............apart from Hannah still having the nexus magic that is. Then they discover there's a ghost riding around.Casper.Creek on a horse wearing a bandana and shooting off his gun, only problem, somehow he's killing people. The victims show all.the signs of being shot but................there's no bullet or bullet holes. Boone immediately calls on Hannah and Cooper for help, I mean deadly ghosts that should be right up her alley but Hannah is as puzzled as everyone else. So it's off to the library to do some research...................................
This is an entertaining paranormal cozy mystery series. A fun cast of characters in an entertaining storyline. Hannah Hickok owns a cosplay town on the top of a mountain in Kentucky. It is a western town called Casper Creek. It sits on a magical nexus or at least did until she absorb the power under it. She happens to be a witch Just like her grandmother who owned the town before she passed away and lectured Johanna. Hannah and her group of friends/family run the town as a tourist attraction in the area. Because it is a magical nexus it attracts paranormal beings trying to steal the power and on occasion they must fight against evil to keep them from getting the magic. Since Hannah has absorb the magic the beans Cano longer get it but they still try and in the process attack the surrounding area and people. Hannah and her crew are there to protect them and stop the evil doing and save the day. Read on and see what adventure they get into this time.
Man oh man does this book give so many hints at what’s to come!! I’m glad that Henry is willing to settle in and try to be apart of Hannah’s life after so long of an absence. Knew Astra would attempt to betray the others in some way but I honestly had no idea how she was getting onto the land!!! When reading this series and all Hannah has to go through but knowing she has her team with her makes me glad for what will come. Hart has set up the stage for what may be one epic battle. Not just one of power but also one that’s emotional as well. Hannah isn’t the type to just willy nilly end a life but she will do whatever it takes to make sure everyone she cares about is safe. I probably should’ve waited until the next book was published to finish this one but ultimately I couldn’t wait!!! Read this series and get swept away on an adventure filled with magic, laughter, love, adventure and mystery as Hannah finds herself and her forever!!
Hannah and the gang are back and working as a team again to solve a case of a ghost rider who is apparently shooting people with bullets that do damage inside but leave no marks outside. How do you catch a 100 year old ghost and why is he doing this all of a sudden? Those are just a few of the answers the gang has to come up with in this adventure before they can have peace again so if you would like to find these answers also I recommend you read this book and find out for yourself, you will be delighted.
I liked the little plot twists and new characters. It still bugs me that Hart doesn't seem to know (or care?) about the goats. Baby goats last year would be grown does and bucks this year. I assume that they would have been dehorned and castrated, but for petting purposes they are going to need a new batch of kids and breeding them seems more efficient. But more importantly, there is no way anything Jinx can jump on, goats wouldn't be all over. Goats freaking climb cliffs (& trees).
I've been waiting for this book to drop. I thought the ending was ironic. Astra was spared because of something Hannah had put in motion. In the end, Hannah sadly comes to a realization. She's faced with making a decision in the near future that could change her life forever. It's not a decision that she will make lightly. There's definitely going to be a book 14. You can count on it!
I enjoyed this story overall, and a little twist compared to the rest of the stories, but felt like I was robbed at the end. Great build up and backstory, then ok it's over. It's not a cliffhanger either, but I look forward to the next book to see what happens next.
This cozy paranormal mystery had a few twist and turns I didn't see coming which was a good thing. I enjoyed. this book a lot as I do of all of the authors books and series. I love the characters and the family the characters have created. I can't wait to see what comes next especially with the new character. Awesome read!
I enjoy this series and like the main characters. The dialogue is done well, and the storylines are a little suspenseful, but also fun. The new Lily Harper Hart reader should start with the first book in the series and read in order. If you enjoy this sort of paranormal romantic suspense, you will enjoy this series. I’m always looking forward to the next book!
Another great story I couldn’t put it down. Getting ready for the big showdown but first she needs to make a decision on the nexus magic. Can’t wait to see what she does.
Such a sweet storyline in three books but with enough suspense to keep the reader reading and wanting more. I love the author characters in all her different series.
Amazing story line. Coop and Hannah still make an incredible couple. So happy Boone may find someone too. The whole are coming together nicely. Jif Lindsey can just outgrow those tee age years. Can't wait for the next one.
I love this series. Hannah and Cooper seem very down to earth to me. All the supporting characters are fantastic. The build to an eventual big magic fight is done very well.
I liked most of the books in this series but as Boone said it started with a bang and went out on a whimper 😪. I would like to see more of Boone girlfriend Cathy in a story pleaseeeeee
Book 13 has plenty of angst, humor, multiple murders, ghosts, witches, and magic. Men are being shot with no sign of bullets or open wounds and no one sees the deeds. And Astra is being her sneaky self. Highly entertaining.
Cute and whimsy characters with a touch of evil thrown in for interest. The characters are so fun and the Town sounds like a good time. I enjoy these books and this Author. I highly recommend this series,I tend to read these for a breather between the more intense books that I read.
Can't wait to read what's next for the gang. Am really enjoying the series. Can't come out soon enough for me. Will be waiting for the next installment.
Totally enjoyed it! This is a well written and has well developed characters. The story is catching and with the strong characters makes for a very enjoyable read. Great Reading Everyone!
I really loved this latest installment in the Hannah Hickok series!! It was filled with witches and magic, murder and mystery, ghostly bootleggers and mystery.
