100-Word Writing Habit will help you start a writing habit and stick with it, once and for all. When most people try to start a writing habit, they go too big. 1,000 words sounds nice, but eventually you can't find the time. In 100-Word Writing Habit, English-class-dropout-to-bestselling author David Kadavy makes the case for a writing habit so small it hardly seems worth just 100 words a day. You'll Plus, get inspirational thoughts from Maya Angelou, Ernest Hemingway, Pablo Picasso, and more, about starting small, being consistent, and growing to master any craft. Whether you want to start journaling, organize your thoughts, or build a career as a writer, 100-Word Writing Habit will help you finally build a habit that sticks. It's short and to the point, with no fluff. So you can get the inspiration and direction you need to start your writing habit today!

This little book is a quick read. It's inspirational and chock-full of great quotes. Excellent application of the compound effect to reach your writing goals!
You can read this book in 20 to 40 minutes time and feel inspired to begin a new writing habit. The author has culled together some fun quotes to go along with some helpful insights on how a small daily writing habit will both benefit you and help you improve dramatically over time.
Beware this is more of an inspirational/why should you write 100 words a day book rather than a “How To” book. By the end, I felt inspired to start this habit today but the book itself gives no instructions or examples on how to do it. I’ll just assume this review counts as 100 words and feel good about that today. (I think daily journal prompts as found in my Day One app is the best method for starting this habit until I figure out how and where I should focus my writing.)
This book is for those who want to be inspired to begin a small writing habit as it explores the benefits and debunks five counterproductive writing myths.
A little book packed with good advice. Basically, though, everything you need to know is in the title. Write 100 words a day and they will add up, your writing skills will improve, and you'll reach a point where you want to and are able to write more than 100 words without a problem (he likens this all to the how a cash investment grows with compound interest - you end up with a lot more than you put in). I'm not saying writing can't be difficult, because it can be, but people (especially beginning writers) tend to make it more difficult than it needs to be.
This could be a good book for someone who's stuck with their writing, or for anyone just starting out.
Great, easy book to read. This book is a must read to get you not just "thinking" about starting a writing habit, actually "doing" it. There is also his free course where David Kadavy sends a series of emails to you to help spur you on.
A quick and positive read that gives you actionable and achievable steps to your writing goal. Think Atomic Habits but specifically for people looking to write. Highly recommend.
