Limitless #3

The Billionaire's Temporary Marriage

Rate this book
When a stranger with a lime-green mechanical hand drenches her in coffee, the last thing Brooke expects is a marriage proposal from a famous hot billionaire.
A marriage of convenience… so tempting. Brooke Ponzio can’t argue against Cole’s flawless logic. The divorce settlement will solve all the money-troubles for Brooke and her unborn child. If only Cole wasn’t so mouth-wateringly delicious. Should she risk having her heart broken again?

Cole Miller refuses to fall in love. Not ever! That’s why he chose Brooke to get him out of his ill-advised contract. All she wants is sole custody of her baby, so when the time comes, she'll give him a stress-free divorce. Sure, they'll have to make the marriage look real to their parents and the rest of the world. And they'll need to forget all about that sizzling kiss they shared. Should be simple. What could possibly go wrong?

Soon, their magnetic draw has them both battling to maintain their willpower. But Brooke slowly falls in love with the man who treats her better than any man ever has, while Cole’s attraction is purely physical. Or at least that’s what he tells himself.

How will Brooke handle her sleazy ex-husband when he tries to cash in on her fame? What happens when Cole can’t protect Brooke from his crazed fans? Will he admit his feelings before it’s too late?

Note from the author: The Billionaire's Temporary Marriage is an inspirational romance, the third of the Limitless Clean Billionaire Romance Series, which centers on heroes with disabilities.

I loved this beautiful story!!
The plot was drama-filled and I was eagerly 'turning the pages' to see what happened next! Cole and Brooke's interactions were so beautiful and I know Cole is going to be a wonderful dad 😊 I loved Brooke, even though her actions were sometimes frustrating. Cole made his share of mistakes, but it was wonderful to see them grow in character.
Loved seeing Bran & Steph and Finn & Laurie as well! Mariah was an interesting person although I wasn't quite sure what to make of her!
Overall, a great novel! Really looking forward to Jarrett's story!!

I received a copy of this novel from the publisher. This has not affected my review, which is my honest and unbiased opinion.

This is a trash book in a trash series and I cannot believe I enjoyed it as much as I did.

I do not recommend. If I were to critique this book, there would be so many notes. So I shall not even try.

But seriously, this author sets up so much drama. And so many side stories. And then leaves hanging pieces everywhere. Like Cole's birth mom. We'll never know and cool? Ugh.

-‘You are amazing and special. You matter. Other people’s opinions don’t. If anyone doesn’t recognize how valuable you are, the problem is with that person, not with you.”’-

Wow! These two characters were like fire and water! Or perhaps TNT 🧨! They fought like cats and dogs and it seemed like they would never come to an understanding.

Brooke fights for her independence, having been dumped by her cheating husband while newly pregnant. She doesn’t want anything to do with Cole or his money.
Cole is desperate to get answers about his birth mother and why his arm is deformed. He sees Brooke as a possible link to finding out the answers to the questions he so desperately needs.
They both need each other. They are both too stubborn to trust and to allow themselves to love. Everyone else sees it, knows it. Will they figure it out before it’s too late? When tragedy strikes it might be too late...

This was a great story written in true Tamie Dearen style. It is a clean romance with some twists and turns along the way. Branson’s story is still my favourite in the series but this one was good too. A recommended read.

I received a complimentary copy from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I received no compensation for my review.

I am so glad I finally got to read Cole's story, after meeting him in the last 2 books. He is truly an amazing, sexy, charming, sensitive man who shows his vulnerable side to the heroine. His nickname is the green armed Cowboy :) Brooke really grew on me, but I still got frustrated with her a times for not giving Cole the benefit of the doubt. A very enjoyable read that I highly recommend!

Rating: PG for violence
Sex: none
Language: a couple of the Lord's name in vain
Violence: car crash with serious injuries
HEA: yes
Would I read more of the series: yes (already have; this author has her own Collection in my Kindle app)

Brooke finds out she's pregnant, days after her divorce is finalized. She and Cole bump into each other, literally, at the coffee shop, making a mess of her work clothes. She doesn't know who he is (famous billionaire with prosthetic arm) until just before she leaves, and he has to get her info from the cashier. Knowing from her work uniform where she works, he hopes she might be able to help him get information about his birth mother (who gave him up for adoption 35 years ago where she currently works). She could get him out of a bachelor reality show, and, in return, he wants to help her by protecting her job counseling unwed mothers and by helping her keep the baby. She eventually relents to this temporary marriage, his attorney (who's now on Tums from this whole TV mess) draws up a convoluted prenup that includes divorce in the near future, and they get married. They platonically live together after the Vegas wedding, getting to know each other's family and friends, and then have a miscommunication. He feels he can't trust women because he doesn't know why his birth mother gave him up. When they announce their intended divorce (because her ex did the math, and he is a mean word that would have Cole's mother washing my mouth out with vinegar), she gets hit by a car driven by a crazy fan, and her and the baby's lives are in danger. He realizes he does love her, and he doesn't need an answer about his birth mom. He's, in fact, grateful for everything that's happened because it brought them together. Two months later, they tell the attorney they aren't getting divorced, and in fact don't want the prenup, and he's resorted to meditation and Xanax.

Amazing! Very moving. Oh, the tears I cried!

Cole has a strict dating policy: the one-and-done rule. He only ever goes out with a woman once. So as not to get attached and therefore not to get hurt. But then he meets Brooke.

Brooke finds out she’s pregnant from her ex-husband. Who left her for another woman… who is pregnant! What a complete mess her life has become. And then she meets Cole.

But this is only temporary.

Oh my goodness, it was heartbreaking, then heartmelting and heartwarming! A roller coaster of emotions. I laughed, I cried, I screamed, I almost threw the book at the wall at one point (but it’s a Kindle so I stopped myself in time), I wanted to shake some sense into both Brooke and Cole (especially Cole!), I wanted to bang their heads together… only to end up loving this book so much I highly, highly recommend it! I loved it, because it did something to me. I cared deeply. It moved me! All those emotions made me feel as if I were part of the book. The unbelievably sweet HEA is worth it! So good, I could read this book over and over again and never get bored. This is as good as they come.

It addresses some serious issues regarding adoption and alternatives. It’s deep without being too heavy. It’s romantic without being sappy. But don’t think it was all serious, because it was not; it was also humorous at times! I found myself chuckling out loud more than once.

I received an early, complimentary copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review. I received no remuneration for it.

I waited anxiously for book three in the “Limitless” series to be released, and it was definitely worth the wait.

Cole has closed himself off because he doesn’t know if he can trust a woman.
-He was rejected by his birth mother, and “Why?” is always in the forefront of his thoughts—strike one.
-He has a physical disability and isn’t sure a woman could handle his prosthesis—strike two.
He’s a billionaire and doesn’t know if they just want his money—strike three.
His dating mantra; “One and Done.” It’s safer that way.

Brooke is seeking to be independent after living with her controlling ex-husband. She can make it on her own.
-She just found out she’s pregnant by her cheating ex—strike one.
-She is recently divorced, and must keep it a secret from her ultra-conservative workplace—strike two.
-She just got hit on by a creepy guy in the parking lot—strike three.
Her mantra; “Avoid Men, Avoid the Hurt.” It’s safer that way.

Tamie sensitively handles the issues of rejection, trust, physical disability and surprise pregnancy. Though our protagonists have obstacles to overcome, the story has hope, love, and chemistry woven throughout.

Well written, with characters you have to love, even in their imperfections, this story draws you in and stirs up your emotions.
This was a great third installment in the “Limitless” series and I recommend this book.

I love the Limitless Billionaire Series and read the first two books in the series twice over awaiting the release of the next book which I read in a day. I love Tamie Dearen's character development and especially how her lead characters each have unique disabilities, but have compensated in ways to make them strong male leads. She also adds an element of humor in dealing not only with the main characters disabilities, but also the emotional trials of the characters that make them believable as real people. The romance is clean, but compassionate and tears at your heart strings. This book is a great continuation of the series, though The Billionaire's Secret Marriage is still my favorite, they are all light hearted fun reads. Though they are a series, each books is a stand alone, so don't miss the first two books, too. I can’t wait for Jarrett’s story next. I was given an ARC and I am leaving this honest review voluntarily.

I'm loving this Limitless Clean Billionaire Romance series by Tami Dearen because the stories focus on men with disabilities. This book's billionaire is Cole Miller who is missing part of his arm and his hand and he wears a prosthetic in their place. He was adopted when he was three months old and he is living with a heartache as he wonders if he was rejected by his mother because he was "imperfect" or worse, if he received his injury through a botched abortion. He meets Brooke, a pregnant woman whose husband left her, and they have a marriage of convenience for mutually beneficial reasons. There are lot of complications on the way to their HEA--and that is what makes this story sooo good!
I highly recommend it! I received a free copy of this book. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Book 3 was well worth the wait. Catching up with these 4 billionaire friends was so good, like catching up with old friends.

This book is about Cole and Brooke, who gives him a run for his money. Brooke pushes him out I’d his comfort zone and it takes an event to finally open his eyes to the fact he is capable to love. That he doesn’t need to find out the answers to his past for him to make her part of his future.

This book has all the emotion and all the chemistry you would expect from this author. You will love it. I did.

I received this as an arc and I am giving my honest review voluntarily

After her cheating husband sleeps with her, he serves her divorce papers and leaves her for his pregnant girlfriend.
When the divorce is final, Brooklyn finds out she’s pregnant! That same morning Cole runs into with his cup of coffee as she’s on the way to work. So starts a complicated relationship. He needs out of a TV reality show marriage contract and she could use financial help, so they agree on a temporary marriage.
It’s a fun, clean romance. A good continuation of the Limitless Billionaire Series. I can’t wait for Jarrett’s story. I would recommend any of Tamie Dearen’s books.

Cole looks like he has everything, looks, wealth, adoring public, but looks are deceiving. His missing lower arm has left him searching for answers. Never mind that he has a prosthesis that others can only dream of. Brooke has a kind but aching heart. A cheating ex, an unexpected pregnancy, an uncertain future, all work to keep her from trusting anyone but her sister. Tamie Dearen keeps bringing stories with interesting characters and compelling story line. My kindle is glad this book is finally finished. I was endanger of destroying it trying to bring up one more page as it was fed to us chapter by chapter. I really dread when the final bachelor bites the dust.

This is another great book by Tammie Dearen. This one centers on Cole and all his troubles as a billionaire. The story is connected to the others in the series, but it can be read alone. If you've read the other books, you just have a better understanding of all the characters. I love this series because it shows how people with disabilities can succeed and have a great life.

The book has humor and romance, but not the real gushy kind. It's a great read to take your mind off your own problems.

I received an ARC from the author for an honest and voluntary review.

The Billionaire’s temporary marriage
I have enjoyed each book in this series and was looking forward to Cole’s story, and was not disappointed. Every time I thought I knew what was going to happen, I was surprised by a different turn of events. I liked that although Brooke was vulnerable in a lot of areas, she was strong, capable and not afraid of doing things on her own. Cole comes across as a tough go-getter fix-it kind of guy, but you see his vulnerability as well. Great story, great author, great read.

I liked the humor in this story about Brooke & Cole. This author never disappoints in the humor area. I like the way they teased each other. I like the way Cole wanted to take care of Brooke. I liked how the lawyer wanted to look out for Cole but Cole's lawyer I would not want to be. Changing things the way Cole wanted as many times as Cole changed his mind would have also had me around the bend. lots of laughs.

In true romance fashion, our heroine, Brooke, has no interest in our billionaire, Cole, or his money. She is recently divorced and has just found out she is pregnant. He is looking for information, and her help to get out of a contract. Naturally, they come up with a plan. This is another great book from Tammie Dearen. It's refreshing to read a clean, sweet billionaire romance. I cannot say enough good things about this book. I would highly recommend it and look forward to the next.

Cole swore he would never get married. He had a one and done policy in place to prevent just that.
But then he spilled coffee over Brooke....and his life changed!
Excellent story line that is very well written.

Started off quite well but about 2/3s thru got seriously tedious with the repeated denials but both the h/H that they did not care for each other when they obviously did and their insistence on a divorce. Flipped to the end thereafter.

MY TAKE
I love the Limitless series so much!

And this book? Talk about the feels! I've been looking forward to Cole's story for a long time, and Dearen didn't disappoint. We've seen him in the other books. He's the hot, flamboyant "cowboy" with the florescent mechanical hand. But it's just a front to hide his insecurities. Given up for adoption at birth, he wants to meet his birth mother and find out why she did it. He refuses to ever consider a serious relationship until he knows.

Brooke, bless her heart, works as a counseling intern at an adoption agency--a very conservative agency. They don't want single or divorced people doing the counseling. She needs to finish her hours so she can get her license. When her husband (the snake) files for divorce, her position is in jeopardy. Then she finds out she's pregnant besides.

Then the famous hot billionaire Cole Miller bumps into her--literally--and spills coffee all over them both. What follows is a crazy bargain that will help each of them out a bind: a temporary marriage.

A couple of little hitches. Brooke is afraid someone with the money Cole has might try to take her baby. Cole won't consider anything temporary. And both are in serious trouble because they're falling in love with each other.

Cole has a fun but explosive personality. He doesn't seem to feel anything mildly. And both are so scared of being hurt again that, of course, they keep hurting each other.

Heart touching and swoon-worthy, I highly recommend the story of their journey to love and trust. In that order.

You'll love it

This is the third book in the "Limitless Series". All the heros in this series have physical disabilities and that is a new direction in the Billionaire books that have become popular lately. Tamie Dearen continues with one of our favorites...Cole. Born with part of his left arm missing Cole was put up for adoption. Even though he was adopted by wonderful parents, he still holds onto the hurt because he doesn't know if the missing arm is from a botched abortion or if his mother wanted no part of his disability. Consequently, he has no trust in women and his dating mantra "one and done" makes perfect sense in his life. During his search for his birth mother he runs into Brooke... literally, in a coffee shop. When he realizes that she works at the place his adoption went through, he befriends her...or at least he tries to.
Brooke just found out she's pregnant by her cheating ex-husband. After trying to have a baby for a year they were having problems. After sleeping with her the night before, he hands her divorce papers the next morning and tells her he knows the problem is her because his girlfriend is pregnant. He has no idea he has left a parting gift.
After Cole and Brooke meet and he finds out she's pregnant the rollercoaster takes off. There are so many ups and downs, twists and turns sometimes I wanted to go to Houston and straighten them both out.
I can't say much more except I was so involved with these characters that I laughed and cried along with them. Cole broke my heart because his heart was so broken. You will truly love this series...🤗🤗🤗

I received an ARC copy and this is my honest review. I was interested in learning more about Bachelor #3, (the first two were in the Limitless series books one and two!) because while Cole is the face of the charity the men run, we knew very little about him. In this book, we see he has a big heart, while he tries to hide it, because who else would take try to care of a lady who is in desperate need? Brook has so much to lose and while there is friction between her and Cole she fights his help. He does have much to learn and thinks Brook can be a help to uncover a mystery from his past.

Cole, as with the other men in the Limitless series, has a unique disability that he conquers with humor and his ridiculously, flamboyant mechanical arm. There is an element of humor and we see additional growth in both characters. This is a must-read if you like the Limitless series as much as I do!

I Do like this sweet story.

First of all, I received a free copy of this book. This is my honest and voluntary review. Having said that, I bought it, too. As I said it's a sweet story and to be frank, it's almost a relief not to have to slog through pages of anatomically correct descriptions of sexual mechanics to get at the emotionally satisfying core of the story. Ms Dearen writes the story in a way that makes it worth the time it takes to read it. It includes funny spots and passages that made me frustrated with the characters' stubbornness, you know, like real life. It also has a slobbery, lovable dog with a very nice name. In short , if you enjoy sweet romances, as I do, then you will most likely enjoy this one.
