There's only one incident of bullying. The main characters have long had unacknowledged crushes on each other. I would like to have had more on the page interaction between Michelle and Duke, the baby of the zodiac. Cute story ending with childhood sweethearts, Michelle and Duke, marrying, having kids and living happy lives together.
OMG!!!! So, So, So cute and refreshing and just WOW…
Every time I get a MS. Jasper book I get the same feelings: tingling, feel good, aspiration, and all is good and cute in this world; and that’s why she is part of my top 5 authors go to for on my favorite genre. This did not disappoint. Surprised that I finished it so quick but this third party cliff notes was so different, so refreshing that it cemented not only a great story but a great author’s ability to make the reader feel good. Yes their were some moments and some questions such as: how big could this house be for Mom not to have heard anything? Or could we had gotten a little bit more description of Michelle but nothing major for me to have diminished this rating because the overall with the full rundown on this epilogue was the closure to this wonderful story. Grab this book guys, you will not be disappointed at all; you will enjoy it…
Duke and Michelle. Their story was cute. Duke, HS b*lly who is trying to “push” Michelle away. Michelle, crushing on the HS Quarterback, finds herself a victim of a prank gone wrong. One night during a bad snowstorm, someone shows up at her door that she least expected. Unfortunately, he has to stay there due to the weather. Trying to apologize for what happened, Duke shows a side of him that makes him a bit vulnerable. He confesses his true feelings and intentions towards her, but she finds it hard to believe. I love how the Zodiac characters connect in each story. HEA guaranteed with Michelle and Duke.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Duke is dastardly in his plan to hurt Michelle. When he realizes Michelle is more hurt than angry at the prank, he knows he has to make things right between them. I love how their moms are so strong and involved. He earned that tongue-lashing and punishment and the grace that was shown was 👏👏👏. Duke is feeling lower than scum when he admits to himself what he has been afraid to go after. He's not afraid anymore, but he's got to win over Michelle. Short timeline but there's a cute epilogue that shows how they've grown as individuals and as a couple. Spicy, short read.
I initially thought they were too young to be having sex in Michelle's room while her mother was in the house, but Duke was on a mission. He was determined to make Michelle realize that she was his regardless of anything else. I guess when Duke stopped fighting his feelings for Michelle he realized that he had loved her for a long time and he didn't want to waste anymore time. I loved the epilogue and it made the entire story come together.
My astrological sign is cancer. By far I have to say this Aries King was one of this authors best stories. Duke is it beast and Michelle is very real and sweet.
I’m excited to read more zodiac tales. This story is one of the first that begins in high school. All the other details are when they graduate from high school or in college. I definitely like to change up.
This has been my favorite of the series thus far. I’m not sure how Mila got into the mind of an 18 year old high school quarterback, but she did! She had me laughing out loud by some of the things Duke would think and say. What he did to Michelle was wrong, but he made up for it, and then some. Thank you so much for the epilogue!! Can’t give it all away, y’all gonna have to read it for yourselves.
Loved this book and especially loved the epilogue. Loved that Duke had a strong Italian mom that made him take responsibility for what he did wrong. Loved that Duke admitted his true feelings and Michelle forgave him and they found their happy ending and found the perfect way to spend prom night. Beautiful book.
Somebody didn't grow up with a black mama, there's not a black mother alive or dead that would behave the way Michelle's mom did. This author is talented so it's disappointing she can't tell these stories without humiliating the black heroine. She has her black leads take too many concessions & it's cringe.
I love these little short stories that she writes. Unfortunately because they are so short they always leave me just a bit unsatisfied. There isn't room for character development or really a plot. But they are fun reads.
This one kinda makes up for the last couple of stories in the series. Again the epilogue felt rushed almost like it was an after thought. Also I don't know where the zodiac comes into play in these stories. The characters birthdays never come up.
Loved it, but way too short. And the epilogue was so corny, why do the fairy tale happy ending? You could’ve kept the book going and wrote about the rest of high school or the college years.
Michelle’s character is described so beautifully, no matter her size, I KNOW that is a gorgeous girl! Duke was a jerk and it took some warming up for me to like his character, but their HEA was so worth it!
I love Duke and Michelle’s usual being to their love story. It was an emotional read which has a beautiful love story. Love the epilogue. Looking forward to the next book.
I loved this story! It was a cute high school drama! I loved the effort that went into the epilogue! I like knowing how they end up! Great short, spicy read!
This book shows you never now who is admiring you! Duke knew what type of woman he wanted and needed regardless of her race!! He had to prove himself to Michelle.
It's quite enjoyable, just enough drama and tension to be interesting, without being frustrating! The sex was tastefully done, hot without being to crass.
Initially I didn’t understand the Aries horoscope but it is a soft story of forgiveness a good read. Loved the vulnerability of the alpha male character
I liked the storyline and the characters. I plan to read more books by the author. The book could use some editing but overall didn’t distract from the story.
I'm all out of order with these books. But I'm glad that I went back and started reading them. It's always a pleasure reading anything from Jamila Jasper.
I can say ty hat Duke and Michelle's story was awesome. The beginning sucked, but I really like the way i it ended. Especially the epilog. I think that's my favorite🥰🥰
This was not good. Who in their right mind would screw somebody that just humiliated you on video a few hours earlier. I thought that it would be years before they saw each other. There is no love between the two, just lust. No depth.
