It all started on my 21st birthday… What seemed like an epic case of bad luck turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Four insanely hot men held me captive, yet managed to find their way into my heart. Ace, Mick, Xander, and Ian… These guys - what can I say? Hot. Protective. And they adore me. They rescued me. And I think I rescued them, too. Was I crazy to think this could work? I mean, they were criminals and wanted men… Just as I surrendered to a life I could have never imagined… Just when I believed I found lasting happiness… It all came crashing down. I woke to find myself in a nightmare with no hope of escape. The clock was ticking and my days were numbered. Would anyone come to save me? Could I save myself? Or would I be just another dead girl on the evening news?
Jaded 2: The Hunt by Lana Black is a dark, contemporary why choose romance and the last book in the Jaded Series duet and it was everything I needed it to be and more! If you thought the first one was a doozy of a ride—buckle up because you haven’t seen anything yet!
This book picks up where the first one left us with Jade having been kidnapped by Berto and Pierce, tormented and abused beyond all measure, and her four sexy men (Ace, Mick, Xander, and Ian) all on a mission to find her and save her. And while Jade’s faith they’ll come slowly fades after hours and days or abuse, her hope still remains strong. But the question is if/when they show up…will they ever be the same after everything they’ve gone through?
I seriously loved how Lana didn’t hold pack punches on this one, and how absolutely amazing she developed Jades character through this one. She overcame so ouch trauma and pain but did it let that stop her from still being true to herself and getting stuff done. And while her men may not have always been on the same page, I do love that they tried to always put her and her safety first.
Overall if you love dark RH romances with lots of bloodshed, Vengeance and retaliation then this is the one for you! Especially if you love a good rollercoaster of a ride! Just be sure to check for triggers first as Lana does not mess around with this one!
Jade was kidnapped on her 21st birthday, a wrong place wrong time situation. Little did she know that her kidnappers would be the best thing that ever happened to her. Well until she was kidnapped by someone much worse. Mick, Ace, Xander and Ian wanted out of the gangster lifestyle, but Berto wasn’t on the same page. Jaded 2 picks up right where the first book ended. Jade is in a horrible situation, having been kidnapped by Berto and Pierce, and the guys are trying to do everything in their power to get her back, and to help each other in the process after being set up. But will any of them ever be the same again after all the trauma they’ve endured?
I absolutely loved Jade’s character development in this book! Some of the guys had me questioning their motives throughout the book, and I thought for sure some of them were going to change their minds about what they wanted in life after everything that went down. This book was an emotional rollercoaster for sure, and there were times I wasn’t sure what was going to happen next.
Jaded 2: The Hunt, is the conclusion to the Jaded duet, and does have a HEA, even though all of the characters go through a lot to get to that point. Please read the content and trigger warnings at the beginning of the book, as there are dark themes that can be triggering to some readers.
I love how the guys loved her. And as bad as Ian was to her at first he over came his demons and they took their relationship slowly. I am however sad that we only got 1 scene from them lol. But none the less they treat her as a queen and she deserves it for what she went through. This series had a lot of up and downs. I felt so bad for Mick. He really wanted out and they guys pressured him to stay. I didn't like that. Because he felt he had no choice if he wanted Jade. But in the end they all seemed Happy. I just wish we could of seen the baby the name and who's baby it was. Those are important things to reader. But with that said absolutely loved this duet. It was amazing the author did a fantastic job on every part every feeling every thought (inner monolog) and I loved multiple POV. I think every book written should be. Lol. So please enjoy this series and watch out for triggers because there are plenty. No go on read away.
Woah.... What a finale to this duet!!! I can't say everything I want to say, but I will say this, you MUST read it...
Jade had been kidnapped, the boys need to find her, save her, and get their HEA. Well life isn't easy for our crew, but I WILL say they get their HEA, but it doesn't come quickly or easily. A lot of hard decisions are made in this one, ideas of HEA change, loyalties are tested and they change.
This book will keep you guessing till the very last page. I'll admit, even as I was coming to that last page I was TERRIFIED another shoe was going to drop..... There are triggers, so be aware, there is violence that is hard to stomach, for some.
Losses will happen, but at the same time, so much will be gained. Lana Black has written a duet that hits hard, but it doesn't disappoint.
I'd rate the duet a 3.5 . I quite enjoyed the books but they did have a few minor typos and such. Especially when referring to one of the guys when it's said guys point of view, which can be easily fixed and edited. Also I couldn't get a clear picture on some of the guys which brings me, personally, out of stories sometimes. The biggest example of these problems (of not only the editting but characteristics of the characters) are aces eyes changed from hazel in the first book to blue in the second. I still liked the duet, but not enough to possibly reread it again so that's why I'm rating it a 3.5 stars.
Fyi: I also somewhat counted down in my rating due to the fact we never got a honest through and through group scene. The smexy times were few and the ones that were really detailed was usually the mm scenes. I'm pretty sure the books had more mm than mf to be honest.
I didn’t love this like I did the first. I thought the author did a bad job at evening out the characters. I barely felt any connection between Xander and jade this book and last book he was obsessed with her and sweet? Also last book Ian hated jade them all of a sudden he doesn’t? There was no makeup or easing into it. It was weird. Also the sex? She didn’t have sex with Ian and mick until the end of this book almost for the first time but they acted like they had already had sex before? The plot was dragged out for no reason. I did not enjoy this. I was so ready for it to be over. Also jades rape and trauma was glossed over AGAIN. Like the author was too scared to go into depth about it and give her proper healing and then she has to take care of a baby?

Holy smokes! I was so nervous while reading this book. I was so invested in these characters getting out of trouble and they kept jumping from one trouble to the next trouble, and then the next trouble! ! It’s a great story, the pacing is great and the action does not stop! Jade’s growth in this story is fantastic! She really comes into her own and finds her inner boss babe! If you are easily triggered, take heed to the warnings at the beginning of the book. It is so well written but a lot of bad things happen to the chat in the book. I look forward to the next amazing story that Lana Black gives us!

Lana Black’s second book in her Jaded series is a gripping breathtaking experience that leaves your head spinning. There was never a dull moment it was so jammed packed with exciting adventure. This was a very emotional book that made you question the characters loyalties even to the end. This author is so amazing I can’t wait to see what she has planned next. This book was so riveting that I couldn’t put it down until the very last page and then still wanted more. This is such a thrilling, on the edge of your seat novel that you don’t want to miss it. Highly recommended and definitely a MUST read!
Great Conclusion! This book picks up where the first left off. I felt like it moved pretty quickly. So, it definitely grabbed my attention from the beginning. It also held a lot of emtions for me, from darkness, to love and hope. We get action, suspense, steam and much more. I feel like all of our characters grow in this book, but Jade mostly. She went through some rough sh*t, but came out stronger. I think the author did a great job reflecting her journey. I loved it!
I’m really looking forward to the next book. I never knew what to expect but I loved getting to know the characters further in this book. Although when I think they would get out of trouble the next thing would happen and they would jump right into trouble again.
I loved the characters and chemistry and the dynamic. I loved the growth of jade and the way she finds herself in this book. I’m excited to see what happens next!
Jade and her men have their work cut out for them in this conclusion to the duet. Jade has to deal with the trauma of being caged, while the men have to try and find her. There are unexpected dramas along the way as they all try to deal with the problems in their own way. I love the way that Jade bonds with Benny as if he is her own baby, and the way the guys all take to him as well. I love that they will do anything for Jade. A great conclusion.
What an ending to this duet! Whew! It was a rough one. My heart was literally breaking that first half, from the aftermath of the first books cliffhanger. Definitely read the trigger warnings!! So many ups and downs, one minute you think everything is looking up and bam, another twist! Great duet, and I definitely can't wait to read more from this author.
The second book in Jaded Duet picks up from when she was taken from the guys. There are trigger warnings she should be mindful of if you have triggers! Book contained some MM.
Ace, Xander, Mick, Ian do everything they can to rescue Jade. Enjoyed the conclusion to Jades and her guys story.
There are so many twists and trial for Jade and her men. This is a conclusion to their dark contemporary why choose duet. It had me on the edge of my seat for what was to come and had my emotions all over the place. This is an incredible and thrilling read.
Awesome ending to this duet. Loved the storyline and the happy ending. Characters were great! I enjoyed the authors writing and want to read more from her.
