As a productivity coach and speaker, I hope to get 1-2 things from a book in my industry. Throughout the book, I kept thinking this was the book I wish I had written! Excellent in capturing leadership challenges in the post-pandemic era of hybrid and remote work. I don't often read or follow many other people in my space because I don't want to copy them, and sometimes that's accidental. While reading this book, there were so many things we both say and analogies we use, just slightly different; I'm afraid people will no longer think I'm original! It affirms and validates what I'm training and coaching my clients on and how I do it. I recommend this easy read to any manager or leader and their employees. Bravo, Maura Thomas, on an exceptional book!
In my 23 years of executive recruiting, I’ve learned firsthand why proven producers are so willing to leave their current employer. Companies have traditionally defaulted to salary increases and promotions but recent years have exposed these quick fixes as quite ineffective. Top talent left anyway. Maura Thomas’ new book, "Everyone Wants to Work Here" profoundly provides the answers leaders seek. Her book serves as guide to help companies create healthy cultures where employees thrive, are more productive, and actually *want* to work where they are. – Ken Kuznia, Owner, Point Blank Recruiting, Inc.
