Lacey also only posts her 4 and 5 star reads (unless an author requests a full review) not because she doesn't read books rated lower but because she understands not every book was written for every reader.
This book was sure an emotional rollercoaster ride for me and it was both heartbreaking and heartwarming. The childhoods that Ronan and Sailor endured was what made them into the people they were today. A guarded heart is always hard to break into. With Ronan being a rock star would that even add to the impossibility for these two to come together? This was a new to me author and I will definitely be checking out more of her work.
Ronan Klaus, drummer for The Oath, is talented and draws everyone to him. But his past haunts him and keeps him isolated. Sailor Childs manages a B&B and has wanted independence from her over-smothering parents for a long time. Her teenage kidnap experience had damaged everyone back then. Both Ronan and Sailor are opposite personalities who somehow found a way to end up together. With issues, insecurity, and long-endured pain, can they help each other get free to trust again and recreate a family-based life together? They had thought love was a myth. But the things you selflessly do for someone else can build that love and can pull two people together. Will they be the two to find their HEA as they help each other to heal?
Finding Peace by Lacey Furr is a good, and enjoyable sweet small town love at first site rock star romance read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry.

Life Is for the Living …. but healing is a steep, curvy road
Sailor and Ronan both have a past to deal with, to overcome. Sailor turns to safety, not allowing her broken self to flourish, to live a normal life. She’s a pro at avoidance. She keeps her secret tied up within her inner being, letting fear control her. She missed out on a normal, happy teenage life when brutality kidnapped her.
Ronan’s past certainly is not pretty. His pain started in early childhood and continues to haunt him. Thankfully, he was ‘discovered’, in more ways than one. Loch became family, They may not have been biological brothers, but they were true brothers through thick and thin. They might now be popular rock stars but they are family above all else and family stands together. (If you haven’t read ‘Finding Love’ you’ve missed out. That is about Lock and Hailey, their story to tell… the good, bad and the ugly.)
Ronan and Sailor are opposites… but what’s that old saying about opposites attract? Both are insecure, both face their fears imprisoned deep within themselves, in different ways. Neither may not want to believe in love but when you help each other heal from horrid past traumas, it’s hard to stay aloof. They become drawn to each other. They learn how to live life realizing there is a difference between being alive and just plain breathing
🤔 LIKES & DISLIKES
✒︎ Ugh…. Wish the book had spared the kinky detail. Sexy angst is one thing, detailed open door kink is totally different.
✒︎ Alex helped and then he took. He messed up big time in the first book, ‘Finding Love’, and now he’s got to pay the price.
✒︎ Love the way these very popular band members are shown with everyday flaws and fears. Knowing their back stories is a big help.
❣️QUOTES I LOVED
“When you carried around a secret as big as the ones Ronan and I carried, it made your exterior harder to penetrate”
“Now, Theodore, you know bad language doesn’t make you sexier.”
“ Sailor was the light to Ronan’s dark. She was the innocence he lost at a young age. Ronan became Sailor’s path to the freedom she so daringly sought.”.

“I knew he was the one that’d love me forever or destroy me.”
So, confession time, I saw this was a rockstar romance with a drummer hero and signed up for the ARC without reading the blurb even though I was unfamiliar with the author. (I have weakness for drummers, so sue me.) Then when I got around to seeing what it was about I almost returned it. I mean, how cliche. A playboy rockstar for a hero, a heroine hiding from her past, who meet because she’s best friends with one of his band mates and neither is interested in having a relationship, etc, etc, etc. Instead of returning it I set it aside. When it was near the review date I finally pulled it out and figured if I just read a chapter or two each day I’d get through it so I could write the review, even though I really wasn’t looking forward to it.
Before I knew it, I had stayed up half the night reading it from cover to cover, because once I started it I couldn’t put it down! I was instantly captivated by both Sailor and Ronan. Sailor (what a unique name) was very complex and so full of secrets that we kept getting hints at. Ronan was more of a mystery. Here was a man who kept having to remind himself he didn’t want anything to do with relationships or emotions and yet was clearly and almost instantly captivated by a woman he knew he shouldn’t even be looking at as anything but a friend. Turns out, he had secrets of his own that, in many ways, were deeper and more damaging than Sailor’s. While my heart ached for Sailor, it literally broke for Ronan, especially when he was so determined to destroy every chance he had at happiness and love.
Bottom line, this book is fantastic. Don’t let the vague, generic blurb stop you from reading it. There’s no way to convey why you should without revealing all the things you don’t want to know in advance. Just take a leap of faith, you will be so very happy you did. Now I’m need to go back and read Loch and Hailey’s book, and look forward to Sebastian’s love story next and then after that, Theo’s, another man with lots of secrets. I mean, seriously, how can I resist?
• Story/Plot: 📖📖📖📖 /5 • Characters: 🫂🫂🫂 • Drama/Angst: 😰😰😰😰 • Steam: 🔥🔥 • POV: Dual • HEA? ✔️ • Would I re-read? No, but I’d read the next one • Epilogues? Yes
This was a good story centered around the trauma of two souls who were meant to live happier lives. I won’t lie, they caused me some serious anxiety as I read as I felt sure things weren’t going to work out. I admit, I cheated & read the last chapter early on so that it was a more enjoyable read for me 😉
I loved the character growth in the story and how they came together to help the other move past their past trauma. It really seemed like one of those two halves of a soul feeling where, cheesy as it sounds, together became whole.
If you’re like me, just know things have a way of working out & it’ll make it a less anxious read for you 😋

This is the second book in this incredible series, and this is Ronan and Sailor’s story. Ronan is the talented drummer for “The Oath,” and he is haunted by his past. Sailor craves freedom and independence, away from her past and overbearing parents, and she is the manager of a B & B. Can these two overcome their pasts and be able to move on together? This is a well written story which is an emotional roller coaster, which has heartbreak, challenges, opposites attract, trusts, healing, and love, which leads to an entertaining and heartwarming page turner. This is a wonderful small-town romance with likeable characters that drew me in and had me in their corner to finally get their chance for happiness. Ronan and Sailor have both lived difficult lives but found a way to thrive. In spite of their hardships. Meeting and connecting has drawn them together but do they have what it takes to open up their hearts to experience love and heal each other. This story had me in their corner from the beginning.
