Ali Davis isn’t in the mood to play with love anymore. Too much time invested and twice as much heartbreak has left her completely against fairytales and happy endings. “We read and we don’t judge” 😆🥴😩
Well this was interesting! Ali and Sire met after an automobile collision and let’s just say that insurance be damned Ali wanted to hit Sire where it hurt (his pockets). After she follows him and is caught mid slash of his tires, Sire knew then that it was love at first sight.😵💫 I guess crazy attracts crazy so it was on and popping from there and I mean that LITERALLY!
Baby the amount of hunchin that was going on in this book may be a new world record! It was good and nasty too 😂. I honestly have no complaints with the story it was just a LOT of sex and very minimal storyline and after 6 sex scenes I kinda wanna read about something else. I would have loved a few scenes with them connecting on a more intimate level outside of sex and we almost got that during their getaway before ish hit the fan. I loved the cooking class but would’ve like to have experienced that scene when they were on good terms.
Ari had a lot of misplaced emotions towards Sire based off previous relationships and while she was within her right, Sire was an innocent target and gave her zero reason not to trust him. I will NEVER understand how book characters, because it happens a lot, will take the word of someone they don’t know over the word of their significant other anytime they are “coming to them as a woman or man”. Like have a conversation FIRST at the very least. And I’m not suggesting that anyone be naive but give me a break! If you need something to get ya rocks off this is the perfect book for that! Another BRAE another dollar!

I read a couple of books by this author and she always deliver spice from start to end.I love that Sire and Ali match each other energy and when it comes to writing black erotica India Norfleet pen showcase intimacy between characters especially with Sire and Ali.

Sire and Ali meet in a very unconventional way and their attraction to each other makes them set aside their initial anger and move right into lust. But is it enough to build something lasting?
Okay so this started off wild. I love the humor and the way Ali got her lick back. Sire was intentional from the start and I liked how he applied the pressure. They were hot together, as usual with Ms. Norfleet and I was happy about that too. Ali's issues with love seemed plausible but the overall writing of her introspection stumbled a bit for me. Also, while I understand the erotica aspect, it didn't always feel like enough chemistry was being built between Sire and Ali. Also, I think I wanted Sire's backstory to come earlier in the game. I did like the ending and how they came back together.

This book started off pretty decently for its genre, but then it goes left and completely went off the rails.
Ali was trippin for real! She actually got on my last nerve and by the time it was all said and done I was hoping Sire would wise up and leave her all the way alone.

entertaining but needs editing
This book was quick and nasty. If you read for the vibes, you’ll enjoy yourself. Could’ve done without the third act break up and then Ali became unbearably stubborn at the end. For me, there were a lot of inconsistencies and some details needed to be straightened out. Quite a few grammatical errors, especially when it came to quotes. The writing became sloppy towards the end.

Look, if you're familiar with India's work, you know what you're getting into. This is a short read with a lot of sex, drama and an HEA.
I like how the character of Ali was fully aware of how she is with men. How she is confident with her work. How she has her ride or die friend. And then we have Sire who is drawn to Ali even though they don't start off in the best of ways, he can't help but be curious.
What happens is that they fall into to this consuming - both mentally and physically - relationship. A lot of the physical. A lot of the drama. Which was a little annoying, but we still gonna get that HEA.
India packs in a little bit of a story in such a small time and it's enjoyable and HOT. Especially if you're looking for a quick sexy read that doesn't hold back.

I’m rating this a 3 because I recognize that I am not the intended demographic and won’t penalize for that.
An editor likely would have helped with the grammar issues. However, the female lead started out awful. She needed her *ss beat and jail time from beginning and she never got any better.
This has HEAVY use of N (150+), B (40+), and F (400+) words. So if you don’t like those words in your reading, just know the frequency makes it impossible to ignore.

Sire and Ali was crazy... how you throw coffee out of the window while driving, the chemistry was there hott as hell but they had to figure that out. When you have been hurt so many times it's hard to trust the real thing but Sire was no joke and homeboy found out and his boys too.

Loved this read
Ali and Sire have become one if my favorite book couples after reading Starving For His Touch! I loved everything about Sire and his dominant, sexy tail 🔥 🔥 🔥 all that dirty talk a sister hot in the tail!! I would definitely read again and recommend to all my friends.

Loved It
This was an unusual meet cute but under the circumstances a beautiful story of two souls coming together because they both are the calming remedy to each other's storms. Even though it was fast pace the love was prevalent right from the intense meet cute. Great Read for me. ReneeG

Well damn they were both toxic AF!!! But the chemistry was through the roof....crazy peeps crazy. The way they met was wild...I just know that Ms. India is always going to give on the spice and I live for that. My Only issue again was the editing, there were just so many grammar issues. But all in all I thoroughly enjoyed the book!!

I've realized that books about India always leave me hot and bothered. On a different note, the relationship between Ali and Sire was incredibly passionate, and it goes to show that love can arrive at the most unexpected times and from the people we least expect.

Love at first attitude

FMC annoyed me from her introduction to the closing. Also not sure when they had a chance to fall in love when it was 100% hunchin. I don’t like to dnf books especially if they’re short but this wasn’t it for me.
