Analyn (25)

- She's wishy-washy, and kept running hot and cold. Will throw herself at Reed, then will get mad at him that they have sex. This is her freaking routine, she'll let her hormones decide for her then when she gave in and they finished, she'll regret everything and will be angry at Reed. Like hello dumbass, it takes two to tango, hypocrite much? You jumped him every chance the moment you felt that spark. So why is she getting mad at him like he was the only one at fault? Seriously take accountability, ugh!

- She's not a good friend. Her friend's douchebag fiance hit on her and touched her inappropriately, but she's always putting off telling her friend what kind of guy she's about to marry. I thinks she's doing her a disservice by not being honest with her. I know this information will hurt her friend but it's still better for her to realize that the guy she's about to marry is a slimy fuck. If I were her, I'd rather let my friend be mad at me but at least I told her the truth and probably saved her from a deeper heartache.

- She's a freaking coward, after receiving her performance evaluation she couldn't find the courage to speak to her manager and ask him what went wrong. For someone who wanted to succeed in her career she's not being proactive with her approach regarding the feedback of her teammates.

- She's a traitor, well at least imo. When Reed lash out at her and said hurtful things, the first thing she did was went to a dinner with this other guy. Thinking that the best way to move on from Reed is finding herself a new guy. I mean gurl, it was like only hours ago and you're more than ready to jump ship already?


Reed (45)

- He was all in with her, yet for the life of me I couldn't understand why he would let her walk all over him.

- He was sweet most of the time and very understanding with Analyn's hang-ups, but at times he seems pathetic for even willingly putting himself in misery just to get scraps of her attention.

- I don't know what happened to him when he's younger, but all I got was that the women he used to date keep disappearing on him. He's used to women leaving her all the time. I mean that was just awful, but why would he stick with someone like Analyn who'll reel him in for a minute then will push him away once she's done. She's actually worse than those women he dated.

- He's handsome and rich, probably can have any woman he wants. But for some reason he kept coming back to Analyn even after she pushed him away. I mean how many ass kicking will it take for him to finally realize that he deserved someone better?

- I'm annoyed at him for insinuating a lot of wrong things about Analyn. Maybe because he's mad and he's so full of her push and pull, or maybe he was just hurting so he wanted to hurt her too. But what he did and all the things he said were not okay, they were mean, hurtful, and cruel.

- He didn't grovel for all of his accusations, he only said sorry then kissed her and basically everything he said has been forgotten.


Overall

- The rinse and repeat pattern of them having sex then regretting it afterwards and avoiding each other is goddamn infuriating. They can't keep their hands to themselves and they will give in only to backtrack and regret everything.

- It's also rage-inducing how they vow to keep their distance yet every damn time they kissed it always leads to more. After that, the nagging thoughts like "We can't keep doing this" or "We shouldn't be doing this" will find their way in almost every chapter. Gooosh these lines makes me want to throw my kindle so hard to the freaking wall. It's exasperating the crap out of me.

- The organized crime theme that came out around 85% was weird. I know the guy who's trying to get to work with him is a sleazeball, but it's weird that almost at the end there's a bit of suspense.

- Reed's assistant is freaking nuts. Turns out she was in love with him and the reason why all of the women he dated before left him so easily. She made sure that those women will stay away or will leave him for good. According to her, she's the only woman who's good enough for Reed. Honestly, she needs to be institutionalized.

- The only thing I enjoyed here were Reed (even though he's a wimp at times, I genuinely like his character overall) and the epilogue, knowing they got married and had a kid (they're planning to have more) made my annoyance melt away a little bit.


I didn't like this, but maybe other readers will find this appealing.

Wowsa this book was absolutely fantastic and will definitely have you engrossed from the beginning until the end and leave you wanting more from them. Reed is ceo of the Dream Team a fantasy sports site and has a one night stand that rocked him to the core and gone the next morning. A month later he is doing interviews and gets a shock and then angry but when the mob want a piece of his company and his secretary/assistant turns crazy can he save the only woman he has ever loved? This book is absolutely a must read and reread.

Analyn Watts is so excited because her boyfriend, Chase has invited her out, to an expensive dinner. So, she thought this is it, he’s going, to propose to her. Boy did he ever, he proposed, but not marriage. He is proposing an open relationship, at first shocking her into silence. She didn't know it, they had been in an open relationship since they started dating. He hadn't been faithful, while they dated. He wouldn’t be faithful in marriage. For a marriage, he had never even proposed. Chase wasn’t the man for her, after all. Chase is such a coward he had set her up, to break up with him. So, he didn't have, to be the one, to do it and be the bad guy. She decides, to leave, Chicago for a week and visit, Vegas, to see her best friend, Betts.

Betts has invited her to move, to Vegas. She is seriously considering doing it. However, on this night, Betts is on a date with her boyfriend, Paul. They have an on-again-off-again relationship, that can give you whiplash. Tonight it appears it's on again. She felt bad leaving her home alone, while she made up with, Paul but if he made her happy she needed, to be there rather than at, the apartment with her. Analyn started, to get down on herself as, to why men didn't want her. So, she decided, to go live it up. She got dressed up and decided on, the Golden Oasis as being the coolest club because it included, tech features like holograms, with celebrities of Hollywood’s golden era. She dressed for a night at a club, which included a red dress that clung, to her ample curves. But not slutty.

The place had a young, hip, yet sophisticated vibe. She made a good choice. Analyn could tell the single people, looking for a good time, apart from those who were couples. Couples have a vibe. She could see the bond, between their hearts. She realized right then, she and, Chase never had that. She made herself believe it was true, love and they had been nowhere close. Time to stop crying over something, that was never there. The old saying, ‘What better way, to forget one man than by spending time, with another one?’

Her gaze settled on a man sitting at the end of the bar, looking bored and maybe disgruntled. Like his life hadn't turned out, the way he thought it would. He appeared older than her maybe in his mid-forties, but he is handsome. She decided he was the perfect one for her to make friends with on this night. The way she worded why she wanted to sit with him and buy him a drink, made her sound like a call girl. So, his raised eyebrows clued her in. ‘A good time as in having drinks, talking, and dancing. You look like you could benefit from having, your mind taken off whatever it is you're ruminating over. And, I'm here, to forget a man, whose name will never cross my lips again.’

This night starts an interesting encounter, not only that night but when, this ‘one and done’ applies for a job at his company. Guys want, to do fast exits, but don’t always like them done, to them. Ground rules people. More talking before, causes fewer problems after. This is a fun book. I love Bo’s character. I feel bad that no one is, taking the time, to find the root of the problem, causing his acting out.

Betting on Love and Winning

So, when a beautiful, young, sassy woman in a red dress sits down beside him at the bar of the Golden Oasis, he is interested. And, when the young beauty—at least 20 years his junior—introduces herself as Analyn, he sits up and takes notice. And, when the night ends with her in his bed he knows that he has won—just like in the past. But, when he awakens after one of the best nights of his life—if not the best night—he is hurt to find the room empty and Analyn is gone without leaving any contact info, and he feels the loss, but doesn’t lose hope. As a gambler, Reed knows that luck can quickly change.

So, one month later, when the same hot curvaceous dark-haired and dark-eyed beauty who shared his bed is introduced as the applicant for an open position with his company—the new social media marketing manager—he’s speechless and angry. She had left him in bed the morning after with no way to contact her—and he had wanted to contact her. So, when he conducts the interview, he doesn’t let on that he knows far more about her than he can address in an interview without a lawsuit against him. And so, as a gambler, Reed is more than willing to bet on his one-night stand whom he can now name and for whom he has an address. His luck is looking up.

Start of the High Stakes series with a sexy billionaire and his much younger curvy women let the fun begin. Analyn social media marketeer just breaking up with her ex. for cheating her best friends takes her away to Vegas to away from it all in celebration kind of for getting away from the jerk never imagine meeting someone who would change her path. Reed sexy as all get out billionaire, retired hockey player can’t seem to find the excitement he seeks in life or the one that makes his stop to do a double take, someone who understands him, sees him not his money, and out for a night running into the one woman that changes his path. The attraction was instant, it was intense, and the magnetic pull was so strong neither of them could ignore it so one night (or so they thought) giving in, one amazing night and one they will never forget thinking that is where it would all end with that one night. Neither of them thought about fate taking over ensuring they meet while at work both saying they will act professional around each other but that magnetic pull is impossible to be professional but that isn’t what they have to worry about because when her life is in danger he will do what he needs to make sure she is protected but their friends made sure they work through all the issues helping them realize they are it for one another despite the age gap, they have found what they are wanting in each other but will they be strong enough to get through the crap that is thrown their way and can they find peace and happiness? (you won’t put this book down so make sure you have the time to read it).

Bet on It held my interest throughout with many different storylines that were nicely woven together. This is Reed and Analyn's story and it was hot and steamy but also filled with caring and love if they ever got onto the same page. It took a heinous act for them to finally admit to their true feelings! So what if he's her boss, much older and she wants others to know she earned her current position and not just slept her way to the top!

Catherine, his executive assistant, was a piece of work and he never saw through her! Others seem to know there was something going astray at work and it wasn't that Analyn and Reed were having an affair. There are twists and turns to the story with bad guys galore - remember the book is set in Vegas! There are also those who think they are untouchable no matter what their actions.

I liked Analyn's relationship with her best friend, Betts who is also her roommate but agree that Analyn needs to be more honest with her as well as others around her. There are hot and steamy moments and most aren't between the sheets. There is some levity in the story with hockey player Bo. There is closure especially with the epilogue and the extended epilogue gives a hint of what's to come next with Bo.

Ms. Williams often takes me out of my comfort zone but the steamy moments are surrounded by good writing, strong characters and wonderful writing.

Analyn & Reed

Dieses Buch enthält einen leichten und flüssigen Schreibstil und wird mit wechselnder Erzählperspektive beider Protagonisten erzählt.

Die Geschichte von Analyn und Reed handelt von einem Paar das einen Altersunterschied hat jedoch beide sich daran von der ersten Sekunde an nivht dran stören. Charakterlich passen sie von anfang an zusammen, da beide loyal, sympathisch, glaubwürdig, liebevoll, rücksichtsvoll, hilfsbereit und ein klein wenig risikofreudig sind.

Auch die Storyline wird hier sehr emotional, humorvoll, romantisch und ein wenig dramatisch erzählt. Dennoch wiegt das humorvolle und romantische Haus hoch.
Auch die Freunde von Reed sowie die beste Freundin von Analyn fand ich sehr authentisch und sympathisch dargestellt. Solche Freunde hätte wohl jeder gerne.

Kleines Manko waren die kleinen aber doch häufigen Schreibfehler die einem im laufe des weiter Lesens auffallen und gegen Ende das extra Dramatische mit Gino. Das musste in meinen Augen nivht sein und wirkte etwas zu gekünstelt und in die Geschichte gepresst. Anders war die Sache mit Catherine und wie alle zusammenpasst mit den Beziehungsaus von Reed und seinen früheren Beziehungen.

Alles im allen eine super Geschichte für jeden der eine starke, freundliche und einfühlsame Protagonisten mag die schlagfertig ist und einen besitzergreifenden, loyale, beschützerischen Milliardär der weiß was er will und dafür kämpft, auch wenn es gegen den Sturkopf von seine Liebe ist.

The Proceeds Of Their Love Is Forever -
Analyn was only looking to enjoy a night out enjoying a drink, so she could get over her recent break up, when she met Reed and they ended up having a wild and wonderful night together. Reed had given up on finding his soulmate and having a family, but he felt an inexplicable connection with Analyn, that he never thought he would get the chance to explore.

However, fate had other ideas in store for them and they found themselves working together. They made agreed to try and maintain a professional relationship, but they just couldn’t keep their hands off each, which continuously caused issue in the lives. Unfortunately, their path to a forever happiness didn’t run smooth, as there were people creating problems for them, which also put Analyn’s life in jeopardy.

As luck would have it, they had good friends who rallied round them to help them resolve the issue, which gave them the courage to finally acknowledge their feelings for each other and work together on their happily ever after. This was an intense age gap romance, with amazing characters and real true love storyline, that had me eagerly turning the pages. There is a lot going in the book to keep you entertained and engaged, which you will really enjoy reading.

What a great start to this new series of books, this is book one in the High Stakes series, this is Analyn and Reed's story.

After her break up with her boyfriend, Analyn goes to visit her best friend in Las Vegas to recover, while out on her own in a bar she sees an older man sitting alone so goes to cheer him up, which ends up with them in a hotel room, but she walks out in the morning before he wakes. Neither of them forgot that night

Months later she moves in with her friend and looks for a job, when she gets an interview for a social media marketing manager for Dream Team, imagine her surprise when the CEO interviewing her was Reed, the man she hadn't forgotten. After interviewing other candidates Reed had to admit that Analyn was the best person for the job and hired her, but she didn't know, could she stay clear of him and keep their hands off each other? So they made bets, but they didn't work, neither of them was ready to admit how they felt.

There are a lot of other interesting characters in this book who I'm sure we will find out more about in later books.

This story has twists and turns in it that keep you wanting to read more, it is fast-paced and have you glued to it from the first page till the last.

I can't wait to read Bo's story next.

She heads to a club to have a drink where she strikes up a conversation with a guy named Reed and an instant connection.

Reed Hampton is an ex-hockey-star turned billionaire and CEO of Dream Team an online fantasy sports site. He loves what he does but his dating life was unsuccessful then he felt a connection with a woman who offered to buy him a drink. They laugh, drink, dance and end up spending a passionate night together only for him to wake up with her gone and no note.

Now a month later she walks back into his life when she applies for a job unaware it was his company.

Their journey was filled with drama, heartache, anger, humor, danger, forgiveness and above all else passion and love.

Fast-paced age-gap multi-genre romance 4*
Analyn a curvy marketing and social media expert meets Reed, a very interesting older guy at a bar and as expected, they spend a very hot night together. Reed is hurt when he finds Analyn gone by the time he wakes up. It is what many men do regularly but is somewhat unexpected from a woman. Both are flabbergasted when Analyn applies to his company for a job and appears to be the best candidate for the role. As during their one-night encounter, they have not exchanged surnames, the unfolding events were totally accidental. It doesn’t take long before their magnetic attraction gets the better of them, giving this book a very steamy feel. Add to the mix a mafia takeover attempt of Reed’s online sports gambling company, the book is not short on action. The author offers good character description, good use of the language and vocabulary, and a resolution from the criminal attempts at destroying Reed whose ex-ice-hockey buddies come to the rescue of Analyn. The HEA is a welcome conclusion to their story. I am more than happy to recommend this book.

Bet On It. The story was very good. The story was long and slow to get to the point. The characters were interesting. Analyn picked up a man at the bar that later becomes her boss. Reed is an older man but makes Analyn feel special inside. Analyn refuses to be his girlfriend because they work together but it didn't stop the yearning for sex with each other. Reed gets sidetracked by a man interested in his company and wants to partner with him, but Reed isn't interested and brushes him off until the man kidnaps Analyn. Now life changes and the desperation to get Analyn becomes the main problem. This book was good. ! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review of this book. Sexy Bet

Reed might be my favorite character Ajme has created. He’s a former Hockey player, now a Billionaire Fantasy Sports App Owner. The guy has made it in life, but unlucky in love. Including the night he meets Analyn. I felt awful for her and the way her boyfriend wanted her to be a swinger. Not something she wanted. Which has made her a little jaded when it comes to love.

The two of them are made for each other. Reed knows it. Analyn is not so sure. Especially when he is her boss.

Love the banter, the romance, and the side characters. Including some favs from previous books. After reading the Epilogue, I can’t wait for Bo’s story. Bad-boy hockey player. His backstory looks like it will be a doozy.

Reed and Analyn can’t keep their hands or any other body part off each other. The intensely decadent attraction just gets stronger with each encounter. He’s older than her, becomes her boss, and risks everything for her. She’s intelligent, feisty, and ready for new experiences.

Amje writes the best emotional stories about couples who overcome obstacles that are internal and external. This couple faces jealous characters, shady individuals, and professional issues. Her dialogue is explicit, develops the plot, and helps the reader see the story. I’ll read anything I can find by Amje!.

Ok so our main lady here is just... awful. Very childish, arrogant but playing the humble game , doing things and then blaming others for them , playing the victim in every situation 🤷‍♀️ it gets boring very early on the book , and it keeps on happening until maybe the last 4 chapters ? The main guy I actually like , he knows what he wants , and he is basically the only reason I read the whole book , but I didn't like him enough to save the story . He basically lets lil miss thing walk all over him all the time , playing with his heart , his mind , his job ... dude ... no, that is not healthy, that is NOT what love should feel like ... toxic relationship 101.

What a great story, loved it!

I started this series out reading Book 4, but it didn't hurt a thing.. Book 1 was just as good. Loved the interactions between Reed and Analyn, they were definitely hot. The love life of her best friend Betts not so hot but she'll survive. Reed and Analyn's love life had intrigue, really bad bad guys, hockey players, A crazy love starved assistant, good friends and a great security company. Oh, forgot... A lot of laughter. It was great. Written by Cindy :)

Humm, poderia ter sido tão melhor!
Infelizmente, nada deu certo. Nenhum personagem, principalmente o casal, foi bem explorado, tudo ficou no raso e a interação do casal era a pior.
Casal muito infantil em tudo, atitudes, pensamentos...tudo. Juntando os dois não dá um.
As cenas também não conseguiram ser envolventes, uma linguagem muito simples e direta, as cenas hot não deu para aguentar...pulei várias...meio vergonha alheia. Faltou amor próprio para todo mundo, principalmente para personagem feminina.

Another great read by Ms. Williams! She brings strong characters in Analyn and Reed and weaves an entertaining story with a cast of strong supporting characters who help to bring the story around. It's a hot and steamy age gap romance that had me hooked from page one. It's well written, moves fluidly and is a terrific read.

The author has delivered another brilliant read. I absolutely loved Analyn & Reed’s story. Their story I believe is perfect mix of office romance, age gap with a hint of sport. Can a one night stand turn into a HEA? Reed has his work cut out trying to convince Analyn it’s more than just a one night stand. Will he succeed or will jealous eyes destroy it all?.

Reed & Analyn's forbidden love story had me glued from start to finish I couldn't put it down. Their will they won't they story was mega steamy, sassy, funny, sweet but also emotional & at times I just wanted to shake them to sort themselves out. This wasn't all sweetness & roses there were lies, secrets & drama keeping you hooked ready for whether they would if or when then did get a happy ever after.

Analyn plucked up the courage to approach an older guy in a bar in Vegas one night whilst visiting her best friend. But returning home she couldn't forget about him, so she decided to take her friend up on her offer and move to Vegas.
Great storyline, fab characters and loved the HEA.
Looking forward to bad boy Bo Tyler's story.

I thought this was such a fun book. Analyn is such a sweetheart and adorable when she first meets Reed and at their second one. These two can’t seem to keep their hands off each other even though they attempt to. There are so many obstacles in the way of their HEA but they wil need to figure it all out. I found this book entertaining and enjoyable to read.
