Sins The Deal is dark and twisted mafia done right!!!! Lexxi promised to bring the heat when she said Enzo's book was going to be her darkest romance so far in the Sins series and she wasn't bullshitting!!!! Enzo is by far one of the most dark and a bit depraved of the D'Angelo brothers and with a killer body and the face of a fallen angel their isn't many women that would pass up the opportunity of being in his bed. But when he meets the beautiful and sassy Kennedy at Saint Michaels church and she doesn't give a shit who he thinks he is! And slaps him with a summons courtesy of his sleazebag uncle Andre D'Angelo who is determined to take over D'Angelo's Holdings after his brother and head of one of the most feared mob syndicates disappears. Kennedy was suppose to serve Mason( Smoke) with the summons but she messed up and gave it to Enzo! Her mistake has landed her into the Lions den with one of the mobs most deadly and dangerous predators! When Enzo! sees something he wants,he doesn't ask! He takes!! The Wind Up

For my first time reading Lexxi James, this was apparently a good place to start. The tease at the beginning with them hitched was interesting, but it's exactly that as this ends with a cliffhanger. (It's book one of a trilogy.)

My gaze has drifted to the woman who just entered the room. My eyes roam every part of her, but not her face. Never again her face.

Now, I need book two (and three). The push, pull, and overall chemistry between Kennedy "bella" Mullvain (Luciano) and Enzo "Zo" D’Angelo is captivating. The way things end is just... ARGH!

I should add that I love the relationships, even when strained, that each has with their siblings. They try to protect each other and find big and little ways to show they care. It's endearing and sometimes hilarious.

I read and listened to the audio book. The narrators are Rose Dioro and Patrick Zeller, both of whom I really like. I look forward to continuing the series with them.

Audiobook Review

Mafia + Dark Romance + Suspense = 🔥

I straight up devoured this book! Enzo and Kennedy have this wild chemistry. Kennedy always dreamed of being a ballerina and never expected to find herself involved with the mob. Her stepfather’s debt passes to her and now she owes them. She mistakes Enzo for a different D’Angelo…and he offers her a deal….

The audio was great - I especially love audiobooks where you can feel the chemistry and tension and especially the banter! Rose and Patrick were so good as Kennedy and Enzo. Patrick played the perfect brooding ruthless mob boss and I loved snark and sass that Rose brought to Kennedy (she even gives him a special nickname.)

She was strong and smart and would do anything for her little sister. This ends on a cliffy…but the rest of the trilogy is live so you don’t have to wait to see how it ends!

This follows Enzo and Kennedy. It's the first book in a trilogy but the fourth book in a series.
I didn't read the other 3 books in this series so I'd say it can be read as a standalone. However, I think it would probably be better if you read it in order. I didn't feel confused, but I did feel like I was missing information and a little behind, like I was coming in late and trying to catch up some.

Kennedy inherits a huge debt when her father passes away. The debt is owed to the D'Angelo family, Enzo's family. He provides her with another option to get out of it.

This is my first time reading this author and I definitely feel like I've been missing out. The story was captivating and kept me engrossed right from the start. I do wish I had read the other books in the series first, but I'm going to go back and read them now so I'm fully up to speed for the next books in the series.
If you like mafia, that alpha dominant heroes that come with them, along with the action and suspense included then definitely give this one a read. I'm thrilled to have found Lexxi's books and can't wait to read more of them!

MUST READ SERIES!!!! Loved this first installment of Enzo’s and Kennedy’s story! I couldn’t put it down and am chomping at the bit for the next installment of this intriguing story! If you love intrigue, close family ties, and hot steamy scenes, you will love this series. This is the fourth book in the series. Highly recommend reading the others in the series so you can fully appreciate all the nuances with the characters but it’s not necessary.

I’ve been intrigued with Enzo since the beginning of this series and am so glad he has his own story. Enzo has been a womanizer and now has met his match in Kennedy who has tortured his dreams and toyed with his sanity. At what lengths will he go to make her his? She has his heart but can she keep it?

This book took me a really long time to get into and I think it is because I didn’t read the other books in the series before. It’s a mafia romance and a slow burn, it ends on a cliffhanger making me now what to finish the trilogy. Kennedy really didn’t like Enzo but she could tell her body was saying something else. She is trying really hard to pay off her stepfather debt to Enzo uncle by working 3 jobs. She would also do anything to protect her sister. Enzo is something else and he always calls her "bella." He knew from the first time he saw her that she was going to be his, even if it took forever for her to come around to him.

Enzo is my favorite brother, mysterious, tall, dark & the brother that gets stuff done. If you need it done right Enzo is your man. Because he’s so mysterious he’s always alone when all he wants is the protection of his family. However a feisty woman caught his attention and now he can’t stop thinking about her. The problem is Kennedy has also caught the attention of the family rival…Uncle Andre.

Kennedy a woman who has nothing going her way. Her biological father was killed now her stepfather has disappeared and the DeAngelo mafia has come to collect his debt one way or another. Uncle Andre has given her 3 months to come up with $100,000 or she will be owned by him. That is until she runs into the other D’Angelo that will either rock her world or end it. This family rival with their crazy depraved Uncle is one for the books because which D’Angelo will come out on top. Look out if they find out Uncle Andre had anything to do with their father’s disappearance or even Trinity’s attack.

For the most part, this was a perfect, dark, decadent, and twisted ride that I thoroughly enjoyed. Unfortunately, I hadn't read the other books in this series, and there were moments I could definitely feel that fact. But it was an entertaining journey in this first installment of Enzo and Kennedy's story. I loved the banter, which had me laughing way too hard at times. I still highly recommend this read. This is my honest opinion, freely given.

This is the first time reading a book from this author and the story had me hooked from the start. I haven’t read too many dark mafia romances yet and I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

There was so much tension, angst and chemistry between Enzo and Kennedy. I just couldn’t get enough. I’m patiently waiting to continue their story.

This is Enzo's story and if you have read the previous books you have already met him. Not gonna lie I did not like him at the beginning of this book. He was harsh and his way of doing things I was not a fan of. But as the story continued he kind of grew on me. Kennedy has inherited a debt she did not want and now she has to pay the price. Which will cost her so much more than being married to Enzo. I felt like she was losing pieces of herself, while also gaining a strength she didn't know she had. She has to put up with the crap that Enzo throws her way and she can't do a lot about it. Enzo finds his wife a distraction he doesn't need, but as the story continues these two will have a battle of wills. Kennedy will have you wanting to fight all her battles. Find out what will happen when these two start aligning.

Sins: The Deal is the fourth book in the Sins of the Syndicate Series, and the first book of Enzo and Kennedy’s story. It is a dark, contemporary, mafia style read with suspense, intrigue, mystery, action, steam, and so much more.

This is such a terrific read! I love Enzo and Kennedy, and loved the initial interactions between the two and how their relationship develops. It is a definite page turner and has me absolutely obsessed. I simply cannot wait to see what happens next!

The writing, pace, flow, characters, character development, storytelling, storyline, relationship development, and world building are all fantastic. This is definitely a book, and series, that I would highly recommend.

This is the fourth book in this incredible series, and this is Enzo and Kennedy’s story.
Kennedy has to pay for her stepfather’s debt, to keep her sister safe, but when she goes to hand in a letter, she hands it over to the wrong member of the family, Enzo. Enzo falls in love with Kennedy instantly, but will they ever be able to be together?
This is a well written action packed story, which is dark, raw, gritty, and emotional, with family, friendships, undeniable chemistry, intrigue, humor, witty banter, and love, which leads to an entertaining, unpredictable, twisted, and steamy page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

This was my first ever mafia romance and it did not disappoint. Enzo is morally BLACK and poor Kennedy keeps getting further and further entwined into his dark world at the hands of her step dad, despite doing all she can to keep her and her little sister out of it. I love that this is the first in a true trilogy, opening up with one mystery and closing book one with another! I need all the answers and another delicious cliffhanger.

Patrick Zeller and Rose Dioro are incredible in the audio adaption of this one, both bring a layer of not just emotion but grit and personality to the roles and I loved it. I need that cliffhanger resolved now!

I did not know what to expect with this book. I have not read the previous 3 books in the series, nor anything written by Lexxi James.

I found this book a tad hard for me to get in to. Not entirely unexpected, since I didn’t read the previous books. However, I’m really glad a stuck with it. I will definitely be reading the next one, as this ended with a cliffhanger. I need to know what happened next. I’m also trying to figure out how chapter 1 plays into all of this.

This is the fourth book in the Sins of the Syndicate series, but it is the first book in the trilogy that follows this storyline. This book follows Enzo and Kennedy. I did not read the first three books in this series. However, this book can be read as a standalone. To get more information about the D'Angelo family, I will go back and read the other books.

Kennedy's stepfather, Jimmy Luciano, owes money to the D'Angelo family. He is nowhere to be found, making Kennedy and her sister Riley responsible for the debt. Kennedy dreams of being a professional dancer, while Riley is a law student. Kennedy is given the option to lessen the debt by delivering two envelopes, one being addressed to Mason D'Angelo. In the process of attempting to deliver the envelopes, Kennedy meets Enzo. Enzo likes what he sees and offers Kennedy a way out of her situation with his uncle. Although Kennedy knows being tangled up with Enzo is not a good idea, she is attracted to Enzo and is no match for the master of sin. Enzo had his mind made up and was determined to make Kennedy "Bella" his.

This is a very interesting story, but it did take me a moment to really get into it. This could be because I need more background knowledge about the dynamics of the D'Angelo family, or it could be because this was a slow burn. Once I was invested, I was unable to put the book down. Enzo and Kennedy have lots of chemistry, and I need to know what happens next. The cliffhanger has me ready for the next book!

This was fast paced and exciting, but the whole book felt like a prologue. There was constantly this feeling of anticipation waiting for the story to start. On the one hand it’s a trilogy so the cliffhanger and over arching story arc make sense, but I expected a story arc for this one yet it felt like we never crested.

Enzo's story! He's a little darker and more unhinged than his brothers, making for an interesting read.

Kennedy and Enzo's first meeting was funny, she definitely caught his interest with her mistake.

Kennedy was just trying to pay off her stepfather's debt, but with Enzo giving her a solution to her problem, his possessive nature meant he wasn't going to let her go easily, even if he was in denial about his feelings.

Enzo's story is a trilogy so a cliffhanger was, of course, expected. I look forward to the rest of his series.

Enzo and Kennedy

I would recommend reading the series. There are lots of details you will want going into this book. To note- this is book 1 of a trilogy

Enzo is a D’Angelo..so that has trouble written all over and around it. Much like his brothers, his life is very complicated, very dangerous, and loaded with secrets. The worst of it is that their biggest concern is within their own family, their uncle. Enzo will not stop until he has done away with him but in the meantime he has to play the game.

Kennedy is blindsided when she finds out her deadbeat step father owes some very bad people money; to the sum of $100,000. She is barely keeping her head above water so when a D’Angelo informs her that since the deadbeat is missing, this is now her debt, she has no idea what she’s going to do. By accident, she ends up running into Enzo and he somewhat offers her a way out but is it? She feels like she would either owe the one devil forever or sell her soul to the other devil; neither an option in her eyes.

Kennedy is starting to realize that being tangled with the D’Angelo family is about as bad as bad can be. But there is something about Enzo. For one, he is gorgeous and it is getting harder and harder to deny that. Every time she gets one step ahead she is thrown back several steps. Enzo seems to be trying to help her but all she can think about is, at what cost? Her time is almost up though, to repay the money.

These stories are so amazing. Like above, I highly recommend reading them all. From the first chapter, I am drawn in and then cannot flip fast enough. Each book has its own story while a continuous story connects them all. You have no idea what will happen next which is so entertaining and thrilling. Plus, you have the super rich, powerful, alpha, mafia hunks for those swoon worthy steamy sections. What more could you want? I can’t recommend this series enough. Also, check out Lexxi’s other books as they are just as good and captivating!

Can she say yes? It is a once in a lifetime deal that will solve all her problem. That is what she keeps asking herself when it comes to Enzo D' Angelo. We have a woman who is struggling to make ends meet because of her dead beat stepfather and a man who wants possesion of her. A man like Enzo can have any woman he wants yet something about Kennedy Luciano makes him well become addicted. The thing is that on the outside he can come of as rude, chauvinistic and overly obsessed yet there is more to him. For years he's been trying to be the strong one in the family just like Kennedy has been there for her sister. Now what made me question Enzo throughout the book is the way he pursues Kennedy. One minute we see a man trying to figure out how to help his sister a good man thant turn when it comes to Kennedy. Felt there should have been more in this book didn't feel like this was book 1 but actually more like a book 3. There were a couple things in this book that felt off to me and a lot unexplained. Just when you think Enzo's real story will come to light Lexxi James gives us a cliffhanger. Now the question is who is really watching Kennedy? Really wanted more in this book especially when Enzo could be so much more. Kennedy to me just didn't fit to be right for me. All in all definitely not a book 1 and will check the others in this series.

The Deal is the fourth book in the Sin series by Lexxi James, and I highly suggest that you start from the beginning since this is an extraordinary series about The D'Angelo Family. Antonio-Father has been missing for six years: sons Dante, Enzo, Mason, Mateo, Dillion, and Daughter Trinity. She survived a horrible ordeal only to return home and not speak for years. Their father's brother, Andre, has been trying to gain control of the family business for the past six years. Vito D'Angelo, the Nonno grandfather, left instructions about how the family business should be handled.

Kennedy and Riley Mullvain are sisters who have a horrible step-father, Jimmy Luciano, who owes Andre D'Angelo $10,000. He skipped out, and now his debt has been handed to his stepchildren, unbeknownst to them. Riley is currently in law school, and Kennedy promised her dad that she would always protect her sister. Kennedy dreamed of being a ballet, tap, and jazz professional dancer. Her movements were flawless; however, her curves were too distracting for a serious dancer.

The siblings' banter is hilarious, and the shenanigans play on one another, often leading to mayhem, which is expected in large families. Oh my god what a book!!! This is my first book by this author and the first in this series ( there are three before this one but can be read as standalones ) I honestly loved this book yes it's a slow burner but oh what a treat this was.

Kennedy is trying her best to work off her stepfather's debt by working three jobs while also keeping her younger sister safe in the process too. So when Andre D'Angelo has her working for him she's tasked to send a summons to another D'Angelo ( Mason D'Angelo ) but she gives it to the wrong brother and ends up in Enzo D'Angelo's war path. Her mistake leads her into the lions den and in the trap of one of the most feared mob predators!! Enzo is dominant as they come , and what he wants he gets !! And he wants Kennedy!! Oh wow the chemistry between these two is wow! Like I said before it's a slow burner and I'm hoping we see a lot more action between these two in the next book because boy I wanted a LOT more!! This does end on a cliffhanger and I was ready to throw my kindle at the wall lol but I honestly can't wait to see what becomes of these two. Will Kennedy be able to pay off her stepfather's debt? Will she be able to take care of her and her sister? Will Enzo be able to get her out of his system? You'll have to read this to get those questions answered but honestly I couldn't put this down.

This is the 4th book in the SINS series. This book is part one of a three part story in the SIN world. And, WOW…the synopsis was right…this one is darker than the previous three. Mostly because it is about Enzo (who is sadistic himself) fighting the dark sadistic forces of his Uncle Andre in Enzo’s journey to be with Kennedy. Enzo is enthralled with Kennedy, and Kennedy is attracted, but nervous about Enzo. Enzo and his brothers and sister continue to search for what happened to their father. It’s a really INTENSE story. I can’t wait to read the next book which, unfortunately, won’t be available for another 3 months. I highly recommend this book. There are possible triggers in the story because of the heavy erotica and Mafia situations, so if these are issues for you, this might not be the book for you. I highly recommend you go through the trigger list in the book description. I, also, recommend you read all of these books in order to get the maximum reading experience. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "SINS THE DEAL" This was an intriguing, interesting, dark twisted Mafia Romance with action, danger, angst, steam, stubbornness, sass, strength, determination, twists that keeps you turning the pages.
Kennedy & Enzo meet when she gives him by mistake a summons meant for Mason Smoke landing her in with a dangerous predator, when Enzo sees something he wants he takes it & beautiful Kennedy he wants.
Kennedy only wanted to protect her sister & pay off her stepfather debt her being pulled into one of the most dangerous family take overs will survive.
Enzo is known for being a womanizer meeting Kennedy changes him he can't think of anyone but her she occupies so much of his thoughts & dreams.
I definitely recommend to get this riviting story Enzo will manipulate Kennedy into receiving his help she so reluctant to accept watching them come together is sizzling hot, will these two get a HEA, their story is explosive you can't get enough of these characters an awesome read for sure.

If you’re a fan of Lexxi James, and have read the previous books in this series, unlike me, I am going blind, you will know what to expect, me I can’t wait to see how it all unravels.

If you love a dark and depraved MMC, Enzo is your man. And if you love a beautiful and sassy FMC, Kennedy is your girl.

These two are like fire and ice. A mistake on Kennedy’s part has put her in the path of not only Enzo but in the pit with deadly and dangerous predators. However, Enzo has become enamoured with Kennedy, and he is determined to make her, his consequences, be damned.

Do not walk, run, because these two will set your Kindle on fire. There is chemistry igniting flames, so scorching you’re going to need a doctor to revive your still heart.

If you love red hot passion, characters that will make you feel like part of the story, sense of humour, mafia, fast paced, alpha dominant, action and suspense then this story is definitely for you.

Highly recommend both the author and the book.

Omg I absolutely loved this. Pity it's a trilogy but I really want to read on to the next two books. Can't wait!!

This was about Kennedy, who's step father got a debt up with a Mafia man and because he had disappeared, that debt falls to her. But Enzo the son of a Mafia Don wants her.

I loved Enzo as a character. He was confident, arrogant and shifty as but also wanted what he wanted and would protect that as well. Kennedy was doing it tough but also was a smart, warm woman, who just wanted to get by, but also was protective of her sister.

But the chemistry between Enzo and Kennedy was charming and definitely had the capacity to be explosive. There was a little steam and that slow build coming. I was enjoying that part of it.

Very well done! This author I've been reading for years and she just keeps getting better and better. I honestly can't wait for more.
