I’ve been celibate for so long even nuns would feel sorry for me, but I made a promise to my niece. From the first hour she was put in my care, I swore no one would upset our safe little corner of the universe. For nine years, it was an easy sacrifice… until I met Nathaniel Hunt while dropping our girls off at camp.
A bear of a man with a dominant streak a mile wide, he effortlessly drew me into his orbit with those devilish grins and hungry eyes. I know I have to walk away when the summer ends, and every second we spend together makes it harder to face. But until we are forced to face the end, I plan to soak up every last drop of him I can.
Nathan
From the first moment I laid eyes on Charlotte, I wanted her. I knew I’d do anything to make her mine. Something deep inside me needs her. It feeds on her soft touches and smart-ass mouth. It revels in her kind heart and wicked sense of humor.
She’s calling this a fling. A two-week vacation from 'real life'. But it's more than that, and I fully intend to show her that this thing between us is real and worth fighting for. I have fourteen days to show her how a woman deserves to be treated and fourteen nights to show her how a real man takes care of his girl.
This April, The Dad Bods are back, and they’re bigger, bolder, and burlier than ever!
I write the kinds of books I love to read. Low angst and good communication make me happy. I love a little drama, a metric shit-ton of sexual tension, a good meet-cute, and dirty talk. So, so much dirty talk. Hot with a plot is my personal motto and I take it seriously!
I have a degree from the Culinary Institute of America in Baking and Pastry. Before staying home to raise my kids, I was a pastry chef for seven years and specialized in wedding cakes. (See, always a sucker for a happy ending!)
In real life, I’m a wife, and a mother to two adorable hellions. We have two puppies, a chonky cat, and more houseplants than I know what to do with.
I love Nathaniel and Charlotte, they are awkward and a mess, they stumble over their words, they get flustered and embarrass themselves.....they are just so relatable! The flirty and naughty banter coupled with the dirty talk and suggestive teasing makes this steamy and fun. I read this on Kindle Unlimited.
I'm glad I got this through KU and didn't order it, because I'd he really angry if I'd paid for a whole book and got part of a day with no conclusion, which is all this is. I feel like the author just went "meh, good enough". The characters were great, it was building up great, then it just stopped. No conclusion, no happy ending, we didn't even get the end of their date. Why? just...the author put all that work into building a great story then just abandoned it. The four stars are for the potential but the ending wasn't an ending. Bummer.
Very short quick read but it ends just as the H and h are getting together for the first time. It feels like it is lacking several chapters. You have no idea if this is just a summer fling or if they get together permanently. It just feels like it is incomplete. The characters draw you in but I want the rest of the story.
WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.
Nathaniel and Charlotte met when she drops her daughter off for summer camp. Charlotte's daughter and Nathaniel's daughter are best friends and going to summer camp together. They walk to a restaurant close to the cottages, and sit at the bar. They sit throughout lunch and dinner talking to one another getting to know each other. When it starts getting dark Nathaniel asks Charlotte if she'd like to take a walk along the beach. While they are walking along the beach the sheriff comes and questions them. Charlotte and Nathaniel decide it's time to go back to the cottages. Nathaniel pulls her to him and kisses her, Charlotte suggests they go back to the cottages to finish what he started. I enjoyed this book and the relationship between Nathaniel and Charlotte.. I am glad that everything worked out and they got a happy ending
I really enjoyed the interesting characters, their chemistry was explosive I’d say. An illustrator and a writer she adores from afar, probably his biggest fan, having read all his books. Their kids, long distance friends, are going to summer camp, and that’s the meet cute for Charlotte and Nathaniel. I was hoping for an epilogue or two, so good. Too short, lol.
I absolutely love the Dad Bod 2.0 series. Every author gives us such incredible stories, and I totally love all of Mae's books and characters. Nathaniel and Charlotte meet when they are dropping their daughters off for summer camp. I love the insta chemistry and perfect ending. I'm so excited y'all decided to do a 2.0 to this awesome series.
Definitely love a twist to the ‘parent trap’ and the kids were cute. The romance between these two was super hot. But I wish it would have had an epilogue and the big declaration
I will be honest I owned this story for awhile but kept thinking it would be slow. Boy was I ever wrong. This story even had a perfect ending and that doesn’t happen every time.
Update. Per author’s instagram the story didn’t publish with all the pages. I’ve tried checking it out from KU again but that hasn’t caught up yet. I’ll update my rating when I can read whole thing.
This one was just an ok read for me. It had the usual Mae Harden elements, but they didn't get me so much into the story. I feel bad because the author is one of my faves.
Omg this book was absolutely swoon worthy!!!! The fact those girls played them that way makes this even better!!!! Probably my favorite book of the day!!!!
