Land and Sea #3

Dominic and the Dolphin

Rate this book
What happens when fate intertwines shifters from land and sea?

Dante Perez knows what it’s like to be an omega in an alpha’s world. He’s fought to make his company one of the best, and when he gets the opportunity to sponsor the summer’s air and water show circuit, he’s not going to let anything stand in his way, especially not alpha flyboy Dominic Pavone. Or his inconvenient attraction to the irritating man.

For Dominic, being a stunt pilot for the summer is usually the best part of his year. Until Dante ruins everything by traveling with the show. Now Dom can’t escape Dante no matter how hard he tries… and maybe he’s not trying all that hard.

When a hotel mix-up leaves Dante and Dominic sharing a room, the sparks that normally fly between them turn into flames of a different kind—the type that set the sheets on fire, and both men realize there is more between them. A lot more.

As summer and their arrangement comes to an end, a surprise changes everything they thought they knew about each other, but maybe a new beginning—the kind that leads to forever—is exactly what Dom and Dante need.

Dominic and the Dolphin is book three in the Land and Sea shifter MPREG series featuring a dolphin shifter who refuses to back down from any challenge, an eagle shifter who can’t stand being grounded, a whole heat season that’s hotter than the summer sun, and some very unexpected nesting.

That was a great story, it was emotional, hot af and the flow was superb.
I loved the tension between them. They hate each other, but deep down there are other feelings.
Will Dante face them, no way! Dominic as alpha instead is mesmerized by the scent of Dante’s slick.

Because of work and events, their lives are daily involved. They so much don’t like each other!
Being an omega dolphin shifter means not having a week into heat or a few weeks, noooo it’s a whole season and Dante is getting crankier with the day. While they don’t like each other much, they are strongly drawn to each other. Wise words from the pack and family made them wonder about all those strong feelings.

Dang, they were so hot together. The story was smoothly written, and very appetizing. From all the anger and fights to dedication and commitment to all those strong feelings was awesome to watch.
The last part of the story was quite emotional. I loved the balance between tension, hotness, and sweetness.
A great story!

OK welllll this one might be my favorite in the series now!

I LOVED all the animosity and heat between Dominic and Dante. All that UST as they were sniping at each other and angrily bantering - I love that so much, and this was written so well. I love that what started at hate was definitely foreplay for the two of them as they learned more about each other and that first impressions and preconceived notions aren't always correct.

I always love when we have a strong omega who won't back down to alphas, and I really enjoyed getting to know Dante more.

Plenty of steam, some humor, very unique nesting (which I loved) and a very sweet HEA for these two! Also fun to see the previous couples in this one, too!

I love this series, can't wait for the 4th one.

I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.

"Like the perfect summer thunderstorm, maybe Dom and I were two atmospheric fronts on a collision course. Maybe the resulting crash was inevitable."

Omg this was filthy and I loved every second of it!!! I'm pretty sure I can call this Vinni George's steamiest book to date. Once these two had a taste they could not keep their hands off each other. Of course this is helped along by the fact that Dante, as a dolphin shifter, experiences an entire three months of low key heat instead of just one week of being out of his mind with lust. This book definitely made this steam queen a happy reader.

I loved the push and pull between Dante and Dom. They were constantly at each other's throats. Most people thought they hated each other, including the MCs at first, but it was more like viscous foreplay to be honest. I loved seeing Dante prove Dom's misconceptions wrong at every turn. Serves him right for making assumptions. And though Dante puts on a good front as CEO of his billion dollar company, the man is much more soft inside than he appears. As Dom got to see more and more of this side of Dante he found himself falling for his supposed nemesis. Thankfully, Dante was falling right there with him.

"Even if Dom never loved me like I loved him, even if we weren't really fated, I would have this. I would always have this."

There was plenty of humor in this book along with the steam I mentioned. Dante's frantic and totally out of character nesting instincts had me laughing quite a bit. It also had Dom completely out of his element, which is something he's not used to being. The journey to their HEA may have not been the smoothest, but I enjoyed the hell out of their ride.

A bit enemies-to-lovers, but with the enmity based on assumptions, as one does. A bit Fated Mates, but we're not gonna make it easy to realize that part.

Engaging read, kept me interested. Also, eggs.

Not bad for a third installment.

Cute enemies to lovers shifter romance.

This is a wonderful, very fast paced story. It's a lovely mix of humour and tension, right up until the end. I do like me a good enemies to lovers story, and this has that in spades! Dominic and Dante are incredibly hot 🔥 together, and when they begin to fall in love the ante definitely increases, they cannot keep their hands off one another !🥵 Many old favourite characters appear, Jonah, and Merritt going gooey over Dante's eggs was one of my favourite moments 😊 The ending was lovely, It was clear that Dante had Dom, the alpha, wrapped round his little finger 😃 An absolute pleasure to read. 4.5 stars.

Another great book in the Land and Sea series! I have really enjoyed this entire series and this book is perhaps my favorite yet. I loved the chemistry and dynamic between Dante and Dominic, and I loved that even when they moved past being 'enemies' and 'hating' each other, that they kept their banter and snark. I was glad that we got a good amount of time with the former couples, and I especially enjoyed that Dante was able to build a good relationship with Jonah and Merrit. The nesting was delightful- it's cool to see a different type of mpreg/birth than the previous books. I do want to give the author credit for delicately handling the topic of infertility, as well as writing Merrit to stick to not wanting to have biological children and instead choosing to adopt. I do think some parts of the book felt repetitive or slow, and while I did think Dante and Dominic had great chemistry that I would have wanted to see more depth between- especially when it came to Dante's fears of possibly being infertile. Despite that, I thoroughly enjoyed this story and I cannot wait to get Charlie's book next!

✅🔥🔥🔥

Very sassy, very sexy, tension filled story. I almost wished the tension could have given way sooner than it did to see these men who were so much alike share more sweet moments. With that being said it was still a really enjoyable fated mate story with well written characters and a super cute HEA.

I loved these two! They were equal parts sweet and spice! The nose kisses were my absolute favorite and the pregnancy stuff was everything! I wasn’t sure mpreg was gonna be my thing but the way Vinni writes it is chefs kiss! These two walk the line of love and hate until the lightbulb moment and it’s all the love! And I was here for it!!!

Another super cute story in this shifter series. I don't know how they do it, but this author writes the most beautiful shifter birth scenes, and I always end up crying. This one was no exception. From the treehouse to the nest to the birth scene ... it was all so beautiful.

I absolutely loved Dominic and Dante together. Like the other couples in the series, Dominic and Dante were fated mates, but unlike the other couples, it took them a bit longer to realize it. They started out on less-than-ideal terms, but of course fate had other plans. They started out sort of hating each other, but the more they found out about each other, the more they realized that it wasn't necessarily hate.

Because Dante was a dolphin shifter, his heat happened frequently and lasted all summer, so after one night of Dom "taking care of" Dante against the outside wall of a bar, the air around them shifted and they both realized their attraction to each other. And then we had the "forced proximity, one shared hotel room, one bed" trope which set everything else into motion, and Dom offered to take Dante through his summer heats.

Their story showed D&D getting rid of their preconceived notions about each other and getting to know each other on a deeper level. The summer of Dante's heat was spent mostly getting to know each other in the bedroom, but they did spend a lot of time talking and connecting and sharing their stories with one another. They also both realized that what they initially hated about each other was actually a completely different set of feelings.

After a scary flight experience, they both had their fated mate moment, and they spent the rest of the book being the most romantic couple ever. This author writes sweet and sensual romance so well.

“Dom? What the hell just happened? It’s like I’m seeing you for the first time, and I never want to let you go. I’m looking at you, and all I can think is—” “Mine,” we said together.

One of the things that I absolutely love about this series is how much the alphas do for their omegas. They're all totally whipped for their mates, and I just adore it so much. I also love the found family aspect of this series, as well. Jonah, Edwin, Merritt, and Everett welcomed Dominic and Dante into their fold without hesitation, and I settled into the last 25% of the book as if it were a warm hug.

Dante clapped. “Excellent! I knew you’d see things my way.”
“Yeah, it’s almost like I love you or something. Like you’re the other half of my soul. Like I’d do damn near anything to make you happy. Go figure.”

Even though this was a sort of enemies-to-lovers story, there was no lack of romance. It was still super sweet, super sexy, and super romantic. The little Italian and Spanish phrases they would whisper to each other were swoon-worthy.

“I promise I will love you until the day I die, and I will do everything in my power to make sure you and our babies, however many that may be, know how much you are loved every day.” A fat tear rolled down Dante’s cheek, and I swept it away with my thumb. “I’ll love you forever, Dante Perez.” “You are mine always, Dominic Pavone. My beginning and my end. My forever.”

If you want absolutely zero angst, tons of romance, steamy sex scenes, and cute little shifter babies, then this is a great series to pick up. I'm excited for the final installment in 2024!

Dominic and the Dolphin by Vinni George is the 3rd book in her Land and Sea series. You may want to read those first to know the back stories of reoccurring characters. Dante Perez is an omega dolphin and the owner of Azucar which is a famous brand of rum. He is also the major sponsor and in charge of the air and sea show that is going on all summer on the east coast. He is the captain of one of the catamarans that race during the show. Dominic Pavone is from Italy and the pilot of a jet that does tricks in the show. He is also an alpha eagle/wolf shifter and part of the Frascati pack which has a yearly bonding ceremony. These two seem to be fire and ice together as they antagonize each other to get their reactions and tempers flaring. The interesting thing is that the heats with dolphin shifters last for the entire summer instead of getting them over in a week so Dante is suffering from heat symptoms and trying to overcome them even though he is on birth control which isn’t helping much. This comes to a head when they find out that they must share a hotel room at one of the show’s stops and it is there that Dante asks Dominic to help him with his symptoms. Then they find out from a Cuban grandmother that they are fated mates, which neither of them believes. As time goes on they come to rely on each other more and find themselves falling in love, especially after christening Dante’s new boat, and even more when the unexpected happens. I enjoyed this book, as I have the others in the series. There are some pretty unique characters and situations involved and their love/hate relationship evolves slowly as they get to know their real selves. Dante is strong but his omega instincts win out as his heat progresses. Dominic is disdainful at first but the more he gets to know Dante the more he likes him and wants him. Their friends are also helpful, especially Everett, as he helps Dante through some difficult times with his health. They have some hot love scenes and it’s quite interesting and funny when Dante starts nesting. There is also some angst as they spar with each other and when Dominic almost has an air disaster. I highly recommend this book, especially if you like stories about different kind of shifters who share a love/hate relationship but end up being fated mates and finding the love they want and deserve.

I love Vinni George’s world building so much, & her characters even more than her world building. Dominic & the Dolphin is just as spectacular as the previous books in the series.❤️

I’m never quite sure about the enemies-to-lovers trope. If it’s “star-crossed”, it usually annoys me because of the prejudiced society, and if it’s just two people who treat one another like enemies, it often annoys me because the MCs are usually being prejudiced or immature, etc.🤦 In this case, though, I thought Vinni created a believable reason for the bad first impression, as well as making the snarking something that they both (usually) enjoyed.

We soon started to learn more about them, and while Dom and Dante were stubborn, they did allow new information to alter their perceptions about one another. I appreciated the idea of a different heat cycle for shifters like dolphins, Dante facing prejudice but triumphing in an alpha-dominated profession, and the entire group (led by Sal and Adriana💃❤️) figuring out what was going on with Dante and Dom before they did (oh, and Charlie and that random alpha bear shifter from the very beginning… LOL). (Also, grandmothers for the win!)✨

I thought this was a believable shift from (supposed) dislike to something more, with time to actually get to know one another. I did laugh about how long it took them to figure out what was going on post-heat. (Dante’s ex was the worst!🤮) It was lovely to have them staying with Edwin, Jonah, Everett, Merritt, and the kids. (That ice cream *did* sound delicious.) Throughout the books, it’s been so interesting learning about different shifters’ birthing/nesting habits, and this book didn’t disappoint. (Miami Vice and fake palm trees, lol.)😭

[ “Do you have children?”
Her question came out of nowhere, and I felt it slice into my heart. I shook my head. “No, I don’t.”
She gave me a soft smile and squeezed my arm where she still held it. “Maybe someday.”
I tried to keep my face neutral. “Maybe.” Though I knew the actual likelihood of that was next to zero as much as it killed me to think about. ] 😭😭😭

Dom and Dante's romance was such a fun read! I got hooked on their grumpy sniping in the last book in the series, and watching them rile each other up was even more entertaining here. Neither Dom or Dante was particularly happy about being attracted to each other, but with Dante's heat season in full force, they couldn't resist their pull for long. Shouting matches and annoyed glares turned into pent-up desire and neediness, and I was thrilled to come along for the ride. I really enjoyed the way these men hashed out their issues before jumping into bed together, because it made their connection feel like a deliberate choice instead of a heat-induced mistake. There was never a question if Dante and Dom would regret spending their nights together because they went into every situation with their eyes wide open, and that was such a nice change from some of the other fated mates stories I've read. Their coupling had all the overwhelming passion, hazy pleasure, and irresistibility that I've come to love about this series, along with some seriously spicy dirty talk and lovemaking unique to Dom and Dante. I devoured every minute of their time together, and as their feelings shifted from lust to love, I was 1000% on board with all of it. Aside from some initial setup and romance-related plot points, there wasn't much else going on in the story to distract from the romance, and that allowed me to fully invest in the idea of Dante and Dom together. Their ups and downs became my sole focus, and despite life throwing some challenges at them they always tackled them together with openness and communication. It was especially sweet to see them surrounded by friends and family during Dante's nesting, and that adorable epilogue in Rome made for the perfect happily ever after for Dante, Dom, and their cute little family.

[I received a digital arc for an honest review]

Dominic and the Dolphin by Vinni George is the newest book in the Land and Sea series. Dominic Pavone is a stunt pilot with a wild streak. He enjoys the thrill of flying not only in his human form but also as an eagle shifter. He also gets his thrills riling up the handsome but prickly Dante Perez, liquor company mogul and omega dolphin shifter. The two have always ruffled each other’s feathers but when Dominic finds Dante in a bind during heat season the two come to a truce. Their truce turns into more as fate intervenes, leading down a path they never expected.

I adored Dominic and Dante together. They had so much animosity towards each other at first and it was until their bickering back and forth became foreplay that it was obvious their feelings had changed. Dominic is an alpha but he finds himself being completely enthralled by the business savvy CEO, Dante. Dante has always had to prove himself worthy of his leadership role and success but allowed Dominic to see a softer side of him.

“I”-- he rubbed a hand over the back of his neck like he was nervous– “I think I’m falling for you.”
My mouth dropped open because in a million lifetimes, I never expected Dom to say anything like that, even though I felt the same way, I couldn’t make my brain tell my mouth to make the words. It was too busy reminding my heart to beat.

The Land and Sea series is a fun, relatively low angst shifter MPREG series. The found family from the earlier two books has taken on more members as Edwin, Jonah, Everett and Merritt welcome Dante and Dominic with open arms. I love seeing all the different shifter couples managing their differences.

4 stars for Dante and Dominic’s fate turning hate to love.

This book is full of enemies to lovers, let me tell you. I honestly had no idea how their hatred for one another could morph into anything else, but as I kept reading I discovered how their hatred for one another slowly shifted into something else.

Let's start with Dante, our dolphin shifter. He own his own company, and is extremely independent, except for when his heat comes around. The only thing that can help curb his blistering heat is an alpha, however, the only alpha his body wants is the one he's determined to hate.

Dominic is an eagle shifter who flys planes, he was hired by Dante to perform in the shows Dante's company puts together. He doesn't know why he hates the man so much, but Dante doesn't exactly make wanting to be nice easy.

I liked this story, Vinni writes really adorable shifter romance stories. And there was mpreg in this book! I won't spoil what the baby/babies ended up being but let me just say... The description of them is so cute! This book has a good pace, the only thing I'll say is Dante and Dominic went from hating each other to liking each other pretty quickly. But the way Vinni wrote it made that progression seem natural. There was A LOT of spicy times in this story, so if you like a high heat book, then this is definitely for you! I really liked being able to get glimpses of past characters, along with learning more about Dante's dolphin shifter side, and Dominic's eagle shifter side. It's really unique how Vinni puts so much detail and backstory into each shifter. Vinni teaches us about each shifters heritage and lineage, along with different biology aspects as well.

I thought this was a really cute, spicy story. I am excited to read the last book in the series that's coming out soon!

This is a great addition to the Land and Sea series and Dominic and Dante are one of my favourite couples.

I love how Dante is described, a strong Omega who is able to show that sucess is not restricted to Alphas. He is a caring boss but prefers to have his deeds done under the radar.

Dominic is thoroughly irritated by him. I think he just can't figure Dante out as he doesn't fit in any normal mold. And then the bickering, the heat of their spats is nearly as high as the actual coming togehter when they figure things out.

The way they turn to their friends separately to help them out understanding what the heck is going on with them is just lovely, the idea your "enemie" can be your fated mate seems just too much for them.

These two definitely have chemistry and when Dominic finally stops denying, he is the caring and supportive Alpha Dante needs.

Dante's reaction to what he is pregnant with is just hillarious, that's one of the best parts of the book.

While it's Mpreg, I love that this part of the Omegaverse is not overtaking the story. Dante's obsession with nesting is well done, as is Dominic's reaction to it.

It's great to see the other couples again, they all fit seamless into each other's life and support their families. I do hope we see them all again, with a glimps into the future, especially with the new babies.

Can't wait for the next book.

It's good to be back in this shifter world that Vinni George has created. This time it's an enemies to lovers, fated mates, mpreg romance that has some entertaining back and forth as dolphin shifter, Dante, and eagle and wolf shifter, Dominic accept that first impressions may not be right and move from arguing to get a rise out of each other to making each other happy.
Both men are in high energy jobs, Dominic and a pilot and Dante is the CEO of his own company. It takes some explaining from others to realise it's more than just annoyance and tension that has them on edge around the other, and Dante's summer long heat also adds another aspect to things. When they do come together, it's hot and heavy for them both, clearly something that they both need and enjoy. I like that it's a pretty low angst story, giving the characters a chance to grow into their relationship without much drama. The only thing worrying them is when Dante seems a little under the weather but it all works out. They also have great friends in those met previously in the series - Edwin and Jonah, and Everett and Merrick. They offer wonderful friendship and support when needed.
A good story that has a lot to offer, one that doesn't take a huge emotional toll but has a lot of feelings for the characters and the family they build.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

I’m sad to give this book such a low rating, because at the beginning it was an easy five stars for me. I love enemies-to-lovers stories and I really enjoyed the bantering between the main characters. But as the book went on, the stars kept dropping, mainly because of the careless handling of foreign languages.

Is it really so hard to find someone who actually speaks Italian and Spanish, rather than just relying on half-remembered holiday phrases? You cannot use bellissima for a man, or amici when speaking to just one person. These are only two examples, but there were unfortunately many more.

The worst moment for me was when Dante asked what tesoro meant. Honestly, guess what? In both Spanish and Italian it’s exactly the same word. Even without speaking either language, that should have been obvious.

And then there was the timeline. Baby Lia, who is mentioned in three books and is an important character, seems to jump around in age. When Dominic and Dante arrived, she was nine months old; two months later, it’s casually said that she had turned one “a few weeks ago.” Not only does that math not add up, but wouldn’t such an important milestone be actually mentioned? Maybe even a birthday party?

I’m sorry, but all of this feels disrespectful to the reader – as if editing and proof reading don’t matter, because “good enough” will do.

DOMINIC AND THE DOLPHIN is the third book in the Land and Sea: A Shifter Series but the first one I have read. In no way did this affect my enjoyment of the story, apart from now wanting to go back and read the first two as well.

I love Shifter books and if they have Mpreg in there, all the better. But what I got with this was unexpected! And I loved that. You see, usually in Shifter books, if there is a fated mate, it's BOOM, all hands on deck. But not with this one. Oh no! Instead, the author had me laughing out loud as these two have no idea they're fated PLUS they enjoy snarking at each other.

Add to that a hint of danger for both of them (in different ways), friends you can count on, new found family, plus the most amazing pregnancy/nesting/birth scenes I have read.

I loved every word of this story and am so glad I took the chance on it, even knowing it was the third in a series. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by me.

I absolutely loved this book! The sexual tension between the characters was electric, almost like a burning flame that you couldn’t escape from. The way their relationship unfolded was both captivating and intense. The author did a brilliant job weaving together the Omegaverse and shifter elements, creating a world that felt rich with its own unique rules and dynamics. What truly elevated the story was how the characters worked through their misunderstandings and misconceptions about one another, all while struggling with the possessive feelings they couldn’t suppress. Watching them fall in love felt so natural and fulfilling, showing how the connection was truly destined. The inclusion of the breeding kink was handled tastefully, and it added a level of heat to the story that perfectly complemented the emotional depth of their growing bond. It wasn’t just about the physical attraction—it was the emotional journey they went on to truly understand each other and their sexual need for each other. The concept of this story felt fresh and different from others in the genre, making it stand out especially with the shifter element. The author definitely captured the essence of what makes omegaverse and shifter stories so intriguing and intense. And the writing was amazing.

I think this might be my favorite book of the series so far. Dominic and Dante’s enemies to lovers to mates to co-parents was a joy to read. I loved their sass and quips towards one another and I found myself smiling at my kindle on more than one occasion while I was reading (including a very loud snort about eggs 🐣).

I appreciated that both MCs had careers and successes outside of thier relationship and that falling in love didn’t mean anyone had to give up anything to make it work. I do need to say that having two kinda similar (at least to me) names for the MCs was difficult at times and I kept having to double check who was who. The same thing happened for me with Everett and Merritt in the second book. My brain has a rough time with that sort of thing 🤪

I loved seeing the characters from the first two books again with their wee babes, and everyone’s love and support and acceptance when Dom and Dante essentially move in was precious. I loved the thanksgiving and christmas eve scenes 🥰 I’m excited for Charlie’s book, I mean, a manatee and a panther?! What kind of shenanigans will we see next!

Shifters give us a whollleee other world to fantasize about, and I love that. Especially with the m-preg element thrown in, which is what we have here. Previously, the shifter stories I’ve read were bears and wolves, and usually not mixed. Vinni George has stretched our imaginations to an eagle (who’s ¼ wolf and can shift into either form) – Dominic – and a dolphin – Dante. I must say I would have liked to start the series with book#1 because Dom’s and Dante’s found family is made up of the characters in the previous 2 books …and they are all different shifter species!! The super fun part of this book is that what we have is Dom, a red hot, alpha Italian, former member of the Italian air force elite aerobatic team (akin to the US Blue Angels), now a stunt pilot, going up against, butting heads with, Dante, a fiery, omega Cuban, who’s sponsoring and running the air and sea show Dom is a part of. Dante is also captain of a very competitive catamaran team which is also participating in the show. And, Dante is also in heat! A heat that will last all Summer as the air/sea show cruises up the Eastern Seaboard performing… Thank you for this truly entertaining story, Vinni.

This is a great 3rd book in the “Land & Sea” series by Vinni George. If you hadn’t read the first 2 books, you are missing something awesome! This 3rd book certainly did not disappoint me at all! I absolutely loved reading this one! Such a wonderful book to read! More than 5 stars reading from me!

The story focuses on Dante, an omega who owns a rum making company that sponsors the summer’s Air/Water Show circuit. The show would feature stunts done in the air and on water. Dante happens to be a dolphin shifter. There’s a guy who happens to be part of the stunts circuit that drives him crazy. To be fair, he drives this guy crazy too. That would be Dominic, an alpha eagle/wolf shifter. They despise each others and would do whatever it would take to push each other’s buttons! However, the show took place in a city where the hotel inadvertently booked them together. There were no other hotel rooms available so they didn’t have a choice but to roommate together. I’m going to stop right there and have you pick up the book to read to find out what happens!!! A wonderful reading!!!!

Excellent addition to the Land and Sea canon. This is perhaps my favorite book of the series, although I've enjoyed them all. I enjoyed Dante and Dominic's witty banter and clever exchanges even after they stopped being "enemies" and "hating" one another. I liked that we spent a lot of time with the ex-couples, and I thought it was great that Dante got along well with Jonah and Merrit. The nesting was a lot of fun, and it was interesting to see a new take on the mpreg/birth dynamic after reading so many others. I will give the author credit for writing Merrit so that she remains steadfast in her decision to not want biological children and instead choose adoption, which is a sensitive topic. A few sections dragged on too long, and while I like the chemistry between Dante and Dominic, I wished they'd gotten deeper into his concerns about his possible infertility. Despite that, I found the story fascinating, and I look forward to reading Charlie's book next.I received a copy of this book from Gay Romance Reviews, and this is my honest review.

Dominic and the Dolphin - Air and Water

‘My fingers faltered for a second. In all the times we’d been together since the beginning of our arrangement, Dante had told me how much he needed me like he would tell any alpha he needed them during his heat, but to hear him say he wanted me felt like a bigger deal. Like he’d chosen me specifically. Like I was more than someone he needed to scratch an itch or help him through his heat.’

Dante, liqueur distributor and Air and Water show sponsor has a ‘love to have flyboy Dominic hate him’ game that he has played since a past incident that left them sparring like enemies.

Too bad, in Vinnie George’s wonderful Land and Sea Shifter series, Dominic and the Dolphin, Alpha eagle/wolf hybrid shifter Dominic and Omega dolphin shifter Dante find themselves having to room together. This leads to them communicating in a way that neither expects.

Romantic paranormal fun for two men who become as close as they can possibly get!

4.5*

This is 100% my favourite in the series so far. Enemies to lovers is one of my favourite tropes, and this delivered. I loved the sniping/animosity between the main couple on the first hall of this book. Even though they couldn't help but be drawn towards each other. The characters complimented each other, and chatacter development/emotional growth between them was exactly what I wanted.

Plus, they were hot af together once they got together.

A big thing I continue to really like about this series is the different types of shifters that we get to see and the differences between them. I really liked the different take on heat cycles on this book and the unique nesting/mate marking between different shifter species. As someone whose read about so many wolf/bear shifters it really refreshing to see such a variety of different kinds of shifters included.

Looking forward to Charlie's book next.

“For now, my fated mate was safe in my arms, and if he wanted to hold a grudge, I’d let him as long as it meant he’d continue to hold on to me.”

If you’re after delightful characters, loadsa feelgood (only mild angst), a generous dash of humour and plenty of MM omegaverse sexy times this is the author for you, and if you like a dash of mpreg then this is definitely the series to go for. In all honesty, I’m *NOT* generally a fan of mpreg books but this author is the exception. Somehow it’s still all just so hot and sweet and lovely. If you’re new to the series start at the beginning - Jonah and the Narwhal - as though all the books work as standalones you’ll get more out of the series (and miss some significant spoilers!) if you read them in order. Fortunately they’re all delightful so this is no hardship.
