I dont know if you have ever read a Lucy Smoke book but if you haven't you really should. If you start here make sure you start with the first book since this is a duet. This duet was intense and I loved every word of it. These two had so much chemistry and it caused me to avoid the outside world till I finished it. Issac is just the right mix of the perfect book boyfriend. Rori is the girl you pull for in a book. Im telling you these were perfect and honestly, this book left me wanting more. I highly recommend checking this author out.

I love a great enemies to lovers book and this duet was fantastic. Fall with Me is the conclusion to Isaac and Aurora’s story.
Their chemistry is so fantastic. Isaac’s bad boy persona does not falter and his obsession with Aurora takes him to uncharted waters. Aurora, ahhhh, I love her character. She has a backbone and she’s not afraid to speak her mind, but Isaac turns her to mush at times and I love it!
Isaac finally opens up to Aurora with what is going on and they both are determined to expose Damien Icari, knowing that he will not go down without a fight!

Isaac and Rori… this duet was absolutely amazing. They were exactly what they needed for each other. Their chemistry, angst, suspense… was all there. Loved it!

Darker semi bully mafia-esque new adult romance. A lot of genres found in this novel. Crazily enough, it worked for me. I did get frustrated with the MMC when he kept the FMC in the Dark "for her own safety," but other than that, I really enjoyed this duet.

Fall With Me starts off where the previous book ended and this conclusion doubled the intensity between Isaac and Rori. At times I felt like I was holding my breath while reading scenes that had me completely on edge. I didn't know what was going to happen and I loved that feeling.
With this second book there was even more added to the storylines that ramped up the chemistry and really put it on display. There was also a lot more thrown in about the evil they were both fighting and I found that to be captivating. It had Isaac and Rori's relationship taking a back seat at times but it worked really well with the story. And their connection was so evident that it could stand to take less focus which I liked a lot.
Overall, I'd definitely recommend reading this series and now I can't wait to see what will be next from this author. I have some characters introduced in this duet that I'm dying to get my hands on so I hope we'll get to see more of them.

Did I enjoy it? Sure. Was it as good as book 1. No.
I just felt the plot lacked a lot compared to book 1. Up until 70% it felt mostly like this they went around in circles.
And then we have the times were the spice didn’t sit right with me. I am usually are for spice but these scenes could have been left out completely.
There are also unanswered questions that I felt where REALLY important but where barely mentioned in this book.

Fall with Me is book two in the Icarus Duet/Gods of Hazelwood Series. This is an enemies to lovers, stepbrother, dark, mafia-ish romance. The story is loosely based off the Greek Mythology of Icarus. The main characters are Isaac and Rori.
The plot was unpredictable and entertaining. There was violence, bullying, plot twists, mysterious supporting characters, and some extra spicy scenes. If you're sensitive you may want to pay attention for triggers as there is some sexual abuse and degradation.
I did find the plot to be kind of erratic. I felt there were scenes that were a little pointless or just random, like the show down with Selene's mom. I am also still confused about Isaac and his friends and what they are all truly about. Additionally, I didn't understand the relationship with Shep and Baz. I also thought the whole Baz thing was anticlimactic and I felt their revenge was cheated.
Their journey is suspenseful and angsty, but I'm left with so many questions and there wasn't even a hint of more coming in this series. Overall I'd give this three stars.

Where do I start with my review... For I am still in awe of the author talent.
This conclusion for Aurora and Isaac's story start with explosion from Rory repressed emotion toward her mom and brother, add in Marcus then Isaac.
In this first part of the book, we see the intensity of them versus Marcus game. All still in waiting game to the peak that keep me on the edge.
While for their chemistry... Hotdang on sausage!
Isaac is one dirty MF! The back-door access scene was 😱 🔥 🔥🔥 with massive extremely explicit pages after pages of steamy!
Every scene these two perform, should be re-enact in live scene with your partner! 😂 they were that 💃 🔥
But what hold Rory and Isaac as my bae was when these two alike soul recognized each other and give them the freedom to be them self. To acknowledge honestly that the people who should love them the most turn out to be the one who hurt them the most.
That one scene captured my heart the most from them.
The middle part of the book was all about their chemistry. How strong they are together. How this tough Alpha of a man bow down to be her weapon as long he have her as his. For me that swoon worthy anti hero style!
The last part of the book was perfectly tied down with a bow! The darkness was perfectly written just right to make me jump from my lazy pose to pay attention so hard, I got stomach cramps 😂
Not to gory details, but definitly not holding back the bad guys evilness.
The end? My perfect bloddy HEA. And I mean, it was bloody!

Gahhhh! I am a sucker for step-brother books and this Icarus duet has burned me down to ash! Lucy Smoke writes the most twisted, gut-wrenching, unpredictable stories like its her life force and sucks me in her world all willy-nilly! I didn’t want Isaac and Aurora’s story to end but boy, was it the greatest ride?! They were electric🔥I can hardly wait for the next book in the Gods of Hazelwood series🫣

I received a copy of this arc in exchange for my honest review. Oh my gosh, this was THE PERFECT follow up to book 1 in this duet, Burn with Me. Isaac and Aurora are absolute fire together. Their love and obsession for one another is exp!osive. Their connection together goes as deep as their souls.
Isaac has been trying to become free from his father for quite some time, but now that Aurora is in danger of his father, he’s determined to go to the ends of the Earth to take him down and protect her.
I loved that in this book, Aurora finally accepts to herself that she is In love with Isaac and doesn’t want to fight him anymore.
The chemistry and steam in this book was INSANE. That one scene, in the tent…. 💦 …. IS EVERYTHING I DIDN’T KNOW I NEEDED. And it made every second of waiting for this book, worth it.
This author writes brilliantly, every book she releases continues to blow my mind. The worlds in which she creates are addicting and pull you in by the teeth.

I thought I loved all the Sick Boys but dang if Issac didn't step up and push them out of the way. He's possessive, has a hidden soft side for his Sunshine, utterly loyal, and completely head over heels.
As this is the second book in the duet I'm going to pretty vauge here not wanting to give anything away. Issac and Aurora have to deal with the fall out of her actions at the reception while also furthering their relationship. Rori continues to try to get through to her mother. Issac, Shep, and Paris continue to plan how to bring Damien down.
The connection that develops between Issac and Aurora is what shows how right for each other they are. They are both scarred individuals that find love and safety in one another. I love how Issac is Rori's safe place. He gets her and how to bring her out of the dark places she falls into.
Lucy Smoke just keeps showing her genius with each new book. The stories and characters and words that come from her are magic. They suck you in and spit you out in the best way possible.
Total ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read. As with the Sick Boys the spice is off the charts 🔥 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶

I don't know how this has so many great reviews. The whole plot of the book is silly, quite frankly. There are blatant plot holes. At the party, when Isaac makes the discovery in Damiens office, why wouldn't he just call the FBI then? It's just so dumb.
Not to mention, the blatant lack of sexual consent between Isaac and Rori - it's disturbing. In every encounter they have, he forces her....despite her saying no. I understand the power kink Smoke usually writes about, but this was too much. There wasn't even an inkling that Rori liked Isaac, let alone wanted to be with him.

It’s undeniable— this attraction that lingers between us. I crawl to her like a moth to a flame, entranced by the glow she emits. I can’t help but want more of that warmth, even if it catches my wings on fire.

Isaac and Aurora were a blazing couple, to say the least. They had their lows and highs, very antagonistic energy but also insane chemistry that simply captivated me. I was fully invested in their story. Their banter was delicious! My review is for both books of this duet.
These two characters were dynamic on their own but together … they created a chaotic explosion! Aurora fought Isaac every single step of the way. Although she was fully attracted to him, she never gave him an inch. I really loved her, both her hard and her vulnerable side. Now don’t get me wrong. I wanted to slap the h*ll out of her and Isaac, they wanted the same thing and yet they decided that breaking each other down was the way to go, which led to many, many stupid decisions but … yes, I was enjoying this sh*tshow.
Isaac, who was pretty much a bully, turned into the OTT, obsessive, and possessive mmc. For a difference, however,he was as obsessed with belonging to her as her belonging to him. Isaac was insane, f*cking annoying at best, but also the hottest, and when he let his pain shine, he was at his most alluring.
I read the books together so the growth of the relationship along with the story had me glued to my Kindle. The only thing to note is that this book is not taboo. Yes, they are step-siblings but it never feels like that. Their meeting is so sudden and the attraction so immediate that it doesn’t play any role.
My main complaint is about the side characters. Both their parents were awful, I was disgusted by them, but that was not such a shock. The friends though… From Isaac’s side, he was blessed because Seth and Paris were so fun to read. But poor Rori wasn’t as lucky. Her friend Hel was a pain in my a**. Too controlling and patronizing. Her friend Selene was just a brainless stereotypical chick. And then her brother was a proper selfish prick.
But because of Aurora and Isaac, my rage because of the side characters was worth it. I don’t know if there is going to be another book but I ain’t sure if I can read a book about Hel.
Did I like it? Yeap. Loved the chemistry.
Would I reread it? Hmm. Maybe.

“For the first time since this whole relationship started, I feel like he and I are finally on the same page. There’s a level playing field and the two of us walk it, hand in hand. If we go down, we go down together.”
Another win for Lucy Smoke and a fantastic ending to the Icarus Duet. I was hooked from page one to the very last word through all the suspense, mystery, and action that kept me right on the edge of my seat frantically turning pages to find some resolution. In the end, I am so happy with the ending that Isaac and Rori got and I can’t wait to see them make an appearance in future Gods of Hazelwood books.
“You were never broke, Aurora. Just scarred–the strongest of hearts always are.”
Rori was such a force in book one and spoiler, not spoiler–she’s still got it through all of book two. She’s intelligent, brave, and a force to be reckoned with. I’ll never get over her defiance toward Isaac, even if this time around it was intentional because she may enjoy the punishment. Her vulnerability was heartbreaking here, though, and I was an utter mess a few times watching her struggle. It never took away from her light, though, and I really enjoyed how much closer this pushed her to Isaac.

Isaac’s still got it too and our dark, broody, obsessive bad boy was back for more…even better than before. While Rori was still unconvinced at the start of this book, Isaac was all in and determined to show Rori that he was never letting her go, despite whatever plans she may have had. His utter obsession flirted with the border line to over the top and I can’t say I didn’t love it. The lengths he went to in order to keep Rori safe while still staying true to his friends and loyal to his word were fantastic. Not to mention that spicy, spicy mouth of his…clean up on aisle four because I’m a melted puddle for this man.
“To be an Icari is to survive on an island of blood and gold. No matter what it takes, I will rebel against him. He won’t win. I’ll make it out. I have to.”
Damien came back as a devious, dark horse with a vengeance. You knew he was there the whole time pulling the strings but his end game was a little unclear and until the very end, I still didn’t understand the depths of his depravity. He’s an incredible villain, one you love to loathe and I really enjoyed how Lucy brought him to life. Seeing his plans foiled in the end was worth the wild ride and I can’t wait to see what happens next (and with whom) in the world of the Gods of Hazelwood.

I was happy with the ending of this duet and I feel like I haven’t been able to say that in a long time. It didn’t drag and was filled with lots of emotions for the characters. The spice be spicing, y’all. But I did take half a star away because Isaac and Rori’s whole relationship was a constant fuck fest (which I love), but I did want to see some more actual human connection happening that didn’t immediately lead to boinking.

Fall With Me by Lucy Smoke / Lucinda Dark is Book 2 of Gods of Hazelwood: Icarus Duet. This continues the story of Isaac and Aurora 'Rori'. So, it is recommend to read the first book 'Burn With Me' before starting this one. This book does pick up where we left off and keeps the pages turning. I am a huge fan of Ms. Smoke so this was a must read. I do recommend her writing and this duet.

A dark duet...
Aurora and Isaac were a match made in hell. I loved this duet. Auroras mom is married to Isaac's dad and because of that they seem to have found eachother. This was a dark romance so check triggers. The spice was 👌 And I loved how it ended. Love reading from this author. She always brings the dark and spice!

I feel like there were a lot of plot holes. What happened to celebrate? Paris and Hel had something going on that I would have loved to see be explored. What happened to the girls in the barrels? I couldn’t put it down but I have so many things I want answered.

Because that's what we are to each other. Two beings that give as much as we receive and everything you need, I will always give you." Wow, Isaac Icari surprised me. I disliked him, but he loved Aurora and did everything he could for her. I am curious about Shep, Paris, Selene, and Hel. Isaac even turned his crappy dad Damien over to help protect Aurora. This was an amazing duet!

So and so read. Truely, I did not like the read.
Isaac and Aurora. I did not enjoy the book. The story, at times, was dull and flat. The two primary characters were not much likable. I was not sure if Aurora liked Isaac throughout the books. She started to warm up to Isaac towards the end of book two. Isaac was too forceful in a specific scene. I recoiled with distaste at reading certain sex scenes. I felt he crossed the line by being aggressive toward Aurora. The sex scenes were too degrading; the scenes were not even hot or desirable. I did not read any chemistry between the two characters. The female character was weak, stubborn, and annoying at times. Aurora was feisty but it did not mean that she was strong. The two characters did not build up or mature. The characters did not have any dimension. The storyline was similar to many other stories. The secondary characters were interesting. Paris and Selene piqued my interest. Also, Sebastian. While I found Helene an annoying character. Marcus was a mystery. It would be interesting to learn the true meaning of transferring University to the East Coast. Why suddenly move when Aurora just enrolled in the same University?

I really enjoyed the first book in the duet but this second book was absolutely amazing! It was packed full of action, angst, and spice. I love how everything turned out.
I am so enamored with Isaac! He’s that perfect dirty talking, obsessive, morally gray bad boy that I love so much. The chemistry between him and Aurora is crazy! I’ve said this before about Lucy Smoke, and I’ll keep saying it, but it’s amazing how she writes these super hot spicy scenes that literally go on for multiple chapters and they are always fresh.
The story of Isaac’s father was an emotional roller coaster and it was a page turner for sure! I really enjoyed how it wrapped up. We are left with some openings with the side characters and I hope that means we are going to get more of this world in the future! I highly recommend this duet!

Marvelous!
Looooooooved this duet. So much angsty, emotional tension that went well above and beyond. Not that I expected any less.
I love story retellings and Icarus with its second chance-y fashion is no different. Our main characters, Aurora and Isaac, are absolutely perfect. Each perfectly formed and fitted to be fated together for a lifetime from start to finish.
Like a moth to a flame — you can’t tell
Aurora not to get involved and I had a good laugh reading how he really did try to keep her out of it while working with the feds on getting rid of his father.
The ending was heartbreaking for me and I cried like a baby. I absolutely loved their HEA, but the inevitable crash and burn will still remain etched whenever I come back and re-read this duet. Absolutely recommend — delicious, delectable and red hot heat all the way until the end.

This is the conclusion to Aurora and Icarus' story, and it did not disappoint!
The tension and the plot thickens so much in this book, and at times, I was on the edge of my seat, not knowing where the story was going next!
Aurora and Icarus both have their own issues and barriers to overcome, but I adored how their relationship progresses over both these books.
There are a lot of emotions within this book, and Aurora has to go through some serious, heartbreaking moments. Definitely read the trigger warnings if you have any.
I'm really hoping Paris and Shep get their own stories, not to mention I would love to know more about Selene and Hel!
Once again, Lucy, you have successfully got me to fall in love with more of the characters you create.

This ending is even better then I could have ever imagined!!! With the way Burn With Me ended I knew Lucy was going to put us through so much to get to the HEA!! And of course she did!! Issac wasn’t holding back with how he went after Rori. There are still some secrets but they slowly come out. Their spice and banter is definitely up to Lucy standards. I absolutely love how Rori still has Issac work for it, she doesn’t just give in!! The underlying suspense is there and how the guys go about bringing Issac’s father down!!! Talk about another amazing book from Lucy!!! Definitely would more from this world!!

This is the conclusion of Isaac and Aurora (Rori)'s story and picks up a few days after her mom's and his dad's reception. This book had so much action right from the beginning. I just kept reading as they, along with Paris (and Shep, I guess), maneuvered their way to a happy ending. The action was non-stop and the book was extremely hard to put down and I read it in one sitting.
I really love Rori and Isaac together even though I wanted to smack Isaac multiple times throughout the book. Rori is so strong and I love her fire. But Rori's and Isaac's relationship was borderline obsession, which wouldn't fly in real life but this is fiction and it somehow worked. Honestly, the only thing I wasn't a fan of were the intimate scenes. But that's my own personal issue and should not be construed as not enjoyable to others. This book is worth it. Please be sure to check the trigger warnings at the beginning of the book.
Many of the side characters were fleshed out a little more, which added to the story. They are complex individuals and it made me want to get to know several of them better. One of the most heartbreaking scenes in the book was the conversation between Rori and her mother. I had hoped her mother would have treated Rori differently and really tried to understand her daughter's actions, but she continued her pattern of behavior and I was beyond thrilled when Rori finally spoke her mind to tell her mother about how her actions had affected Rori when she needed her mom the most. But her mom's reaction to that confession was not one a true parent should have with a child they loved. She took ZERO accountability for her actions and the things she accused Rori of were awful. After that convo, I was pretty much sold on her mom deserving everything she got after that. Hel got on my NERVES, until she and Paris crossed paths and, I have to say, their banter was one of my favorite parts of the book. I REALLY hope they get their own story. The mystery behind Selene disappearing was odd and did not seem like the same Selene we met in book one. I'm hoping we learn more about that and what caused it in future books as well. I'm not sold on Shep yet, but hopefully that has a chance to change.
Overall, this is a solid series and I can't wait to read more about this world and the characters who inhabit it.

Ok, being an author is really freaking hard, and Lucy Smoke writes one hell of a story, so please if you're interested, read the books. I only write this because I don't like giving less than 4 stars without an explanation.
I struggled with a lot in these books, but the story kept me turning the pages.

First, the heart is on the left side of the body, and as someone with a tongue piercing, none of that worked for me...
Unfortunately, I didn't like any of the characters. The FMC is constantly foolish, naive, and weak despite a reference to her taking kickboxing. She has almost no description and no real qualities to speak of.
The MMC is an @ss who pushes her (grooms her) to like degradation and forced play despite constant and I mean two books worth of constant pleas to stop but 'in her mind' she might be starting to like it (??). I felt like she gave in after being broken. And some of the thing things he did to her (forced piercing through tears and begging! and the whole backdoor scene, didn't sound very enjoyable) should not have been so readily accepted. It was just toxic. Everything about Isaac was toxic and negative.
The FMC's brother, being super protective, finds out his sister and mother are in danger and disappears until the very end when it's too late. So... ??
The FMC's best friends are awful, but then she's not good to them either. So... ??
I guess I liked Shep and Paris, the MMC's buddies, but I thought Isaac used them without much regard or thanks. So... ??
Now, with three stars explained, I enjoyed the story once I started skipping all the scenes where the MMC forced the FMC to "like" what he wanted, and I decided that this was no love story but a story of survival where two broken people clung to one another in their sickness. For that, it was not an HEA but a 'well, they lived,' ending.
Changing my expectations made me enjoy the books.
All that being said, the plot itself is a great mafia type read and worth your time if you can just ignore two books of red flags and emotionally stunted main characters.

just have to start by saying that I am someone who reads a ton of dark romances by many talented authors. But it’s not often I come across a series or a author that captivates me and makes me feel as many different emotions quite the way Lucy’s books do . Every single one of her storylines just grab onto all your emotions so quickly and pull at your heartstrings in ways you will not expect. Her characters are just so unique and so multi layered that it’s almost impossible to stop yourself from falling in love - even if you don’t start off liking them at times , you’ll very quickly learn there is always more to them than first meets the eye . Fall With Me is not only the second installment in her ( Gods Of Hazelwood : Icarus series but let also the conclusion of Isaac and Auroras epic love story . So you absolutely need to read book one first as this picks up right where that left off . And what a cliffhanger it was . Now we finally get all the answers to the questions we were left with . That’s about as much as I’m going to say . This is definitely one your without a doubt going to want to experience for yourself. It’d a forbidden romance, a Greek retelling, a enemies to lovers journey, it’s suspenseful, steamy, dark , raw , gritty and emotional, mafia at its best , so many twists and turns, danger , secrets , romance ,heartbreaking and heartfelt moments, tragedy , it has a kick*ss heroine and a oh so swoony Alphahole . It’s the type of story that will leave you utterly speechless, that will keep you on the edge of your seat anticipating what will happen from one second to the next . It will break your heart and then so flawlessly put it back together again. It’s a masterpiece that should not be missed
