Lasairiona McMaster writes sassy, classy and badassy women and strong, yet vulnerable men.

She challenges reader’s expectations by openly dealing with mental health issues, often exploring tough-to-handle topics and ‘taboos’ and books with a whole lotta heart.

She can either be found enjoying a gin and lemonade by the Irish sea, or baking sweet treats in her kitchen while singing at the top of her lungs.

When she’s ‘home’ in Texas, and isn’t eating fresh-popped popcorn while buying things she has absolutely no need for in Target, she can be found at Chuys eating her body weight in chips and queso and washing it down with a margarita swirl.

Thank you to my lovely Lasairiona for sending me an e-ARC of this book to read and review. There is something so raw and real about this book and as always Lasairiona handles everything with care and grace. Clare and Elliott made for such a great redemption story and I live for a second chance romance. Clare was such a strong character and I valued her vulnerability and struggle as a single mom. This would have also made a great prequel story and I would have loved to see our main characters as teenagers just because I think the flirting and young love would have been so cute. That being said, I don't think it took away from their love story now. I think watching them learn to have each other back in their lives was so heartwarming and really helped that happily ever after develop even more. I was laughing, I was crying and yet again I was so attached to these characters. I loved these books with my whole heart and seeing the cameos from some of the other heroes was so fantastic. This was a great way to close off the Snow Pirates series and I'm so glad Coach Swift had his own hero moment after seeing glimpses of his personality in the other five books. This series is top tier to me and I can't wait to read what's next.

5 star Review Two For Charging (Snow Pirates #6) by Lasairiona McMaster

Having read a few books in the Snow Pirates series I was excited and yet sad to read Two For Charging knowing it’s the last book in the Snow Pirates series.

This is a second chance at love story that ticked the boxes for me. This is Coach Elliott Swift (Coach Swifty) and Clare’s story and it was a wonderful story. They were childhood friends and though twenty years have passed when they meet again, it’s just like yesterday.

However Clare is not happy to see him and Elliott will have his work cut out for him. The last thing he needs is a relationship and yet he has always wanted Clare . Can they come to terms with the past and in doing so forge a future together?

From the first chapter I was invested in Elliot and Clare’s emotional, realistic story and had a hard time putting it down. Both Elliott and Clare have been through a lot and now is their time to both take a leap of faith. I was really cheering for these two to get the happily ever after that they deserved.

Coach Elliot Swift has always been driven. He’s dedicated his entire life to hockey, and he’s dealing with pressure both from his relentless ex wife and regarding the care of his sickly, aging parents. He’s got so much on his plate, and he shouldn’t want to add anything else.

But when he quite literally runs into Clare Reynolds, his childhood best friend, he instantly craves something just for himself - her. Clare is dealing with her own issues, and they haven’t been on good terms since he left all those years ago. But Elliot is determined, and Clare can’t seem to push him away. Perhaps he can find the happiness he’s always dreamed of with a woman he’s never forgotten…

Holy. Cow. This conclusion to the Snow Pirates series is a little bittersweet for me, as it’s one of my favorite hockey romance series ever. But Elliot and Clare’s love story was complete and utter perfection, so at the same time, I’m okay with it!!! I’ve always been curious about Elliot, and I was really excited to see that he was getting his own story! And wow, what a story it was. This book did not disappoint.

Elliot and Clare’s banter was absolutely hilarious, and I loved watching them slowly learn to be around each other again. I also really loved Clare’s interactions with both of her children, Mason and Catriona. All in all, this was a freaking fantastic read, and I highly recommend both Lasairiona McMaster as an author and the Snow Pirates series in general!!!

Just when I think I’ve reached the end of the Snow Pirates Books, Lasairiona McMasters goes and writes another wonderful addition to the series!

I really enjoyed how realistic Clare and Elliot (aka Coach Swift)‘s romance was. This single parent, divorcee, second chance romance was binge-worthy and so enjoyable! The ups and downs in their relationship kept me hooked onto the plot and wondering just how things would work out for these long lost lovers!

While I’m sad to see the Snow Pirates Series end, I am excited for what McMasters will write next (which I believe includes a spin-off hockey romance series!!!) and definitely recommend checking this book out as part of the series or as a standalone romance!

The perfect ending, to an amazing series. Clare and Elliot story took me by surprise. A very good surprise, I enjoyed this story so much. Best friends from kindergarten rekindling what they had as best friends. It was so good to see, that what they shared in the past it was still there. I was rooting for them, from the beginning. So many laughs. I loved all the dynamics between Clare and her children. All the dynamics between Elliot and his players. I just loved this story so much. It has everything you are looking for in second chance romance.

(I received an ARC for this book)

Trigger Warnings include:
divorce, child custody, pregnancy, discussions of abortion, body acceptance & lack thereof, the mental and physical decline of parents, the grief and emotional termoil brought on by all of these topics.

I have loved falling in love with the characters in this series. I’ve loved bonding with them, crying with them, feeling everything with them. And this one was a beautiful “end for now” closure. Elliot and Clare are both freshly divorced when they run into each other after being separated for nearly two decades. They met in kindergarten, but when hockey sent Elliot away, their bond changed forever. Just like the others in the series, this one delved into heavy subjects, in a beautiful way. Their past caused them each emotional damage, and so has their divorces. It’s an emotional journey as they each go through this. Especially when they go through these moments together. I genuinely loved Clare. As a mom, as a reader, as someone who struggles in her mind and body. I connected with so much of her story. I loved the focus on the mental roller coaster you put yourself through as a single parent. How it affects everything else you do, the choices you make. Elliot was ready to pull out all the stops to prove himself, not just in general, but to Clare too. To prove he is not that scared boy who ran away and broke her. I loved the role the team played in this story. They’re Elliot’s family. And I’m going to miss that! I was NOT prepared for this side of Coach Swift!!! I can understand why Clare still feels hurt by the way Elliot hurt her when they were younger, but to hold it against him when he’s being kind, genuine, and reassuring, still wanting the best for her and helping her see that, was unnecessary. I was so sad that it only got worse. She became her own villain. The blame never should have fallen entirely on him. She blamed him for things that had nothing to do with him, and he did all the apologizing. The constant onslaught of problems was a bit tiring. It was so focused on the reason Elliot would leave again, and not the reason why. He was disregarded. And I wasn’t a fan of that. I don’t want to harp, because I genuinely love these characters and their story, but so many of the little things bothered me.

My Favorite Quotes:
• “You never need to hide any pieces of yourself from me.”
• “I imagine once I see your cheeks all flushed from a good fucking I’m going to want to keep them pink.”
• “I’m gonna rip those panties off you and eat you like the delicacy you are.”
• “I’ve wanted this for such a long time. I just want to appreciate every second.”
• “I’m hoping to help you take care of her if that’s okay.”
• “No matter how far away I ran, I couldn’t outrun the fact that I love you.”
• “I want every sex with you.”
• “Let me make you feel good.”
• “I loved you every single time I stepped out onto the ice.”

Thank you to the author for sending me an arc of this book to give my honest review of cause I think I have now a new series to add to my tbr and you know what the problem is ? I already wish there was more (yes, Theo I'm looking at you) anyway, here we go !

Let's start with the start, Clare ! She is THE girlboss of all girlbosses; she girlbossed her way through this book and I KNOW for sure that I wouldn't have loved the book half as much if it wasn't for her. I was rooting for her from the get go. She got pregnant very young and really had a lot of hard moments in her life but she still manages to be an awesome mother and I respect the shit out of her. I was so scared of seeing her start a new relationship but I loved how her priorities and dedication toward her kids never faltered. All her reactions made a lot of sense, except maybe how she lost all her abilities to function with Eliott at the beginning but It was fun so I forgive her for it.

Eliott... I loved a little less... He wasn't bad per se but I am not sure If I would've forgiven him as easily as Clare. I understand that he was young and in love when he left her but in my opinion she was his best friend before she was his love interest and I wish he was there for her even If he didn't stay in town at least as moral support cause AGAIN being a mom at 16 is HARD even if you're still with your partener and you need all the support you can get.

As for the relationship, I don't think It's possible to deny that these two are made for each other and I was really sad that they'd lost so many years to get their HEA but I wish I'd seen more. They acted like they never stoped being in love (which I believe they didn't) but It was TWENTY years ago and people change a lot especially with all that they've both been through so I would've really loved more of them re-falling in love, maybe more of their high school list and Clare stepping out of her comfort zone.

The secondary characters were all amazing. I loved the hockey team so much and I'm so excited to read more of their adventures. Also, Cat (Clare's daughter) and Theo (Eliott's player) were the cutest and I know I would've loved a whole book with them as MCs (or at least just Theo ?).

I am extremely grateful to have been given an ARC of this incredible book — coming 6th October, 2022!!

I loved this!! I didn’t really think I had much interest in Coach Swift’s story, but I was wrong! I loved the history between him and Claire. I loved learning about their past, their friendship, and seeing how they were attempting to navigate the future. Claire is an amazing single mom. The easy going friend vibe she has with her daughter says so much about how great of a mom she is. Her relationship with Mason is just as strong and your heart breaks when we see Mason trying to choose between his parents. Eli comes out of nowhere and not only do sparks fly, but memories flare and old struggles resurface. It was an amazing story about love, second chances, and it was hilarious!

Reasons I Recommend:

1) Claire is so spunky!! From her monologue in the opening chapter about menstruation to her sex toy collection, she will never not make you laugh.

2) The relationship Eli has with his team, the way they look up to him but are also there to lend a helping hand, to listen to him, and to give advice back shows that they are friends and family, and

3) The spice level was high, the hockey amazing, and the douche level of the exes in top form. This is a definite must read!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Quote 1: "Elliott, I swear to all that's holy if you have a lamp in the ass pocket of your jeans I'm writing to every women's clothing company I can think of to demand they right the injustice. We can't even cram Chapstick in ours."

Quote 2: “You took another man's chicken, Clare. You're basically married to him now." 🤣🤣

This story is a wonderfully loud shout out for Mums! Ms McMaster has captured the life of a mum beautifully…..we get to know Clare, a single mum who is barely holding it together….her daily challenges are real, her low self esteem and struggles to keep all her ducks in a row are totally relatable. Her worries and fears that she isn’t enough for her kids and not showing them the right path are completely founded in truth….I felt her pain. I laughed out loud at some of her hilarious antics….even if they were accidental!
I did sometimes feel she could help herself a bit more….not with chores, work etc but by standing up for herself a little more often…..because when she did…phew! She was a force!!!!

Elliott is an interesting character….he has allowed others to influence and decide his whole life….finally back with his childhood best friend Clare, she starts to call him out on his nonsense and forces him to make his own decisions….
I loved this pair, I appreciated that they both had baggage and stuff going on, their worlds didn’t and couldn’t revolve around each other….they had to find time and fit into each other’s schedules and priorities.

This is a great second chance romance, full of humour, wonderful friendship, candour, hilarious reasonings from Clare, ‘grown up’ problems and sensible solutions…..also a reminder that there isn’t always an answer, sometimes we just have to muddle through.
The story celebrates the Mum role while also highlighting the fact that although we can often manage on our own and that we are enough, it’s also nice to have someone in your corner, that one person that always turns up for you….and if we let them, life can be so much more!
So pleased that Elliott and Clare managed to be that person for each other!

This is the final (FOR NOW) standalone in the Snow Pirates Hockey series. While it still takes place at the University like the previous installments, this is the story for the Coach and a character we met in an earlier book.

I love Lasairiona’s writing! She writes characters that are so freaking real and relatable. I mean this book starts with a scene in the ‘lady aisle’ and an inner monologue that EVERY woman has had at least once.

I loved Clare’s insecurities and her openness to her ‘electric boyfriends’. She writes characters that are flawed but are still able to grow and change to better themselves.

When I realized this installment was going to be a single mother, second chance romance I was stoked. The only tropes that could have gotten me more excited would have been MM, or secret baby!

Coach Elliot Swift was everything every woman would be lucky to find!
“He kissed her like the secret to eternal life lay in her mouth and he was determined to search every square inch of it until he found it.”
The way he tried to assuage Clare’s fears and insecurities was beautiful.

I was expecting a little more drama with Elliot’s ex-wife. Like maybe a scene with Clare and her or something.

I am sad that this is the final book in the series, I would love for a look into what all of the characters we have met and fallen for are doing later in their lives.

Everyone deserves another chance.

I have to admit that I am obsessed with the Snow Pirates. Getting Coach Swift’s story and seeing a glimpse of the team and players was so much fun. Elliott is such a great guy! This book did not disappoint.

Clare is a single mom trying to balance work, an ex, and two kids. She has doubts and flaws that most of us can connect with. Elliott is her childhood best friend and someone she saw a future with until he left her to play hockey. Elliott is recently divorced and trying to care for his two aging parents. When the two run into each other at CVS the impact and feelings they had for one another are still there.

I loved Clare and Elliott. Together, separate, with her kids, with his team, with his dad. I just loved them. Their journey to their second chance is full of ups and downs and overcoming mistakes. Like Clare and Elliott, we have deep feelings and don’t always think things through before reacting. I connected with the characters, their struggles, and their insecurities. Lasairaorina writes such realistic characters and situations. We can all see ourselves making mistakes and finding ourselves in awkward situations. I will never look at a chicken strip or go into KFC without remembering Clare!!! I LAUGHED so much during this scene…..read the book!!!!

This was a great second chance romance is about forgiveness, relationships, and moving forward. I’m sad to see my Snow Pirates go and I hope to catch glimpses of them in the future. Even with my love of the Snow Pirates and the entire series, I should mention that this can be read as a standalone.

4.5 stars. Clare, the female lead, is a single mum raising two teenagers, the first conceived shortly after Elliott, the male lead and her former best friend and first love, left town to pursue professional hockey. Now, two decades later, Elliott is back in town and the coach of the local college hockey team. When they keep running into each other, maybe they can make something of this…

This story is dual POV, well written, and a great contemporary second chance romance. I enjoyed the interactions between both primary and secondary characters, especially Clare’s children and some of Elliott’s hockey players. I laughed out loud at some of the banter and awkwardness and general shenanigans that Clare and Elliott got up to. I appreciated Elliott’s continual encouragement of Clare, boosting her self-esteem and pushing her to make some choices for herself, something that is a genuine struggle for mothers everywhere. I also understood each of their struggles to put aside the pain they’d incurred from others and not inflict it on each other and their relationship. I appreciate the realism of this author’s stories and really empathised with these characters. I also enjoyed that, whilst it stands alone, it is enhanced by having read the others in the series.

I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.

Have you ever been reading a book and you look and see that you are MUCH further into it than you thought and get upset because you don't want it to end? Well, that was me with this PHENOMENAL book!

This book had me laughing out loud, crying and fanning myself MANY times. Did it ever get hot! 🔥 I connected with these characters so much. Being of a certain age and having young children, I understood some of the "struggles" this pair had 😉. I absolutely loved the banter between them too. It really hit home with me. When you know the one you are with since childhood, there's just a different kind of connection. An easiness with eachother. Exactly what Clare and Elliot have.

I had been waiting for this book and I absolutely devoured it, just like I did with the rest of this series. Lasairiona McMaster hit it out of the park once again with this one. I can't wait to read her next series and the crossover novella. Thank you for sharing your amazing gift of telling stories. You're amazing. And just as you said in your dedication to all the mama's out there, we see you and you too are enough ❤️

It’s no secret I love a good sports romance so when I started this series it hit all the right spots. We’ve gotten the perfect blend of humour and sweet and spicy moments throughout with some really heartfelt stories and this one was no different.

I love a second chance romance when it’s done well and this one was just perfect, top that off with the fact that this is the first time I’ve seen a sports series of interconnected stand alone where the coach gets a book?! Like seriously I didn’t know I needed that in my life until I had it and now I vote for all series to have a book about Coach too.

These books take the stuff we love from romances and mixes them up with relatable and real life situations that make you feel so connected to the characters. I’ve loved this series and whilst I’m sad it’s come to and end I’m glad we got this ending!

If you’re a sports romance connoisseur and you want someone new to check out don’t hesitate to start this series, if you’re new to the genre, Lasairiona is a perfect author to start with, she does it all and she does it well you’ll be laughing and crying and all of the emotions in between!

Aw man I'm so sad that this is the last book in the series. I have adored all the Snow Pirates and this book has finished it all off nicely.
Childhood friends ✅
Single parent ✅
Second chance ✅
Friends to lovers ✅

Elliot aka Coach Swift and Clare have A LOT of history and haven't seen each other for 20 years. The opening chapter is how they meet again and it had me in stitches. Las always knows how to bring the relatable funny moments and her writing style is 👌🏻 It engages you and sucks you in with such relatable characters.

Both Clare and Elliot are trying to navigate life after messy divorces. Do they want to and can they find the time to pursue a relationship together? Will history repeat itself with Elliot and can Clare trust him?

I loved these two together and it was such a hard won HEA. By gosh did they have to fight for it but I'm so glad that they carried on trying because they are perfect together! There is drama, angst, steam and plenty of love! A fantastic end to a fantastic series ❤️

“Deep in the pit of his stomach, and in every inch of his heart, body, and soul, he knew. She was his endgame.”

Aw, Two for Charging is a second-chance with a perfect balance of sweet & spicy! This is only my second read of the series and I was low-key blubbering that the series is over! It’s a lovely story of young love lost and, after decades apart, love reunited. If you know me, you know hockey romance is my favorite sub-genre. Hockey + second-chance romance is always a 1-click read for me and Lasairiona McMaster does not disappoint!! Elliot, the hot hockey coach and Clare, the one who got away are my favorite Snow Pirates couple to-date! Two decades after first love led to first heartbreaks, their chemistry is still as strong as ever. Two for Charging is a perfect blend of on-ice action and off-ice steamy romance! The way Elliot became a source of strength for Clare without overreaching her parenting was wonderful. If you love a bossy hockey coach with a sweet side and a badass, beguiling single mom, you’ll swoon for Elliott and Clare!

I always love that Lasairiona writes her stories with an extreme amount of passion. I can feel her excitement in the scenes and dialogue. She writes so inclusively and across every type of individual and family type. She definitely nails the motherhood insecurities but still writes a survival strong character. Claire’s relationship with her children was very insightful and I cheered how she ended this situation. I looked forward to Coachs story for many books now. I wanted to know what his backstory was that he could shape so many students. His ex-wife was something else and I thought there might be some drama with Claire. I was disappointed that all of the poor history decisions fell on Elliott. I thought it a bit immature with some of the dialogue and expectation that Claire was the victim through the entire book even though she made a very poor decision in the beginning as well. I think the hero and heroine in a book need to find equal footing for the outcome to be satisfying and/or worthy of each other. I am very sad for the Snow Pirates to conclude.

Tropes:

When Elliot runs into Clare after not seeing her for 20 years. It's like all his feelings for her awakes. Like they never left and maybe they never did.
Elliot is dead set on getting his second chance with Clare! He will do whatever he can do get her back!

When Clare sees Elliot again after leaving her all those years ago to play hockey she doesn't know what she feels. A little happy and the feelings are still there, but can she trust him again? And how can she meet Elliot at the same time she has a job and kids to take care of...

I really loved this book because it was so realistically written. It shows Clare's relationship with her kids and also how hard it can be to be a single mom. Also how it’s to find someone new when you already have kids and that sometimes forgiving people for old things leads to new more beautiful things🥰

Clare and Elliot have a one of a kind chemistry and I just loved them together. Elliot was most of the time such a gentelman and really tried his best at all but times.
Clare is the strongest mom, but sometimes also the strongest mom has it hard. I really liked how she was written so realistic. So thank you to Lasairiona for that.

Hated Clare's ex! Couldn't stand him and will not even mention his name!😡

Overall an amazing end too this series! Recommend everyone to pick this book up!😃

Sexy and adorable.

Elliot and Clare's story was a delight with a dash of angst.
After so many years apart, they were thrown back into each other's lives and had to learn how to deal with resurfacing feelings.
They've both been hurt repeatedly, so learning to trust again was a challenge for both of them.
Besides their feelings for each other, they were also dealing with their own lives and baggage, which proved to be more than a nuisance for their relationship.

This series is really good and I loved the previous books. I need to comment, though, that I prefer older couples over new adult romances. On the other hand, there were moments when I felt that the previous couples had way better communication and relationship skills than Clare and Elliot. Even Clare's daughter seemed more put together sometimes.
That being said, I really hope Cat gets her own book.

This book was a great addition to the series and it was adorable seeing some of the old faces again.

Another bingeable addition to the series! Are you sure it has to end? If it does, this is a great way to go out. I loved Clare and Elliott. She’s a single mom who’s strong, brave, and comes with some baggage to unpack. He’s been a staple throughout the series not only as a coach, but also a friend and mentor, and I so hoped he would get his own story. He did, and it so did not disappoint.

It was lol funny (that KFC scene), messy, a little angsty, and just the right amount of steamy. A.K.A it was exactly what I look for in a second chance romance.

What I liked;
🏒 Childhood friends to lovers
🏒 Second chance / hockey romance
🏒 MN ties
🏒 All the 🔥

Two For Charging was a great conclusion to the series and I would recommend but, start from the beginning so you get the full Snow Pirates experience.

My oh my these two make having second chance worth it.
Although it was sad they lost so much because of their naivety and miscommunication, the fact they fight for 2nd chance was everything.
I loved all the characters in this book except for the exes obviously haha.
Elliott and Clare's chemistry was on fire.
They both deserved HEA.
There were times I laughed out loud and sometimes felt so sad.
I felt all their feelings and that says something about the author. She is brilliant at these angsty stories. The Steamy moments were just right amount too..
Be prepared for lots of heartache Steamy moments, LOL moments and family drama. Loved this whole series and happy to here there may be more things to come.
Highly recommend, give it a read to see why they are having a second chance and how they get it. You won't be disappointed

two for a second chance

Sparks fly when coach Swift is reunited with his childhood love.

This book is another great read the the author. She creates an amazing backstory for our main characters that adds depth to the story line. Each step of the way I found myself empathizing with the feeling Clare had about her life. The author was able to bring out just how much single moms struggle with having an identity outside of their children and the guilt that can consume you when you do something for yourself. Coach Swift had so many trust issues that it’s a miracle that man could function. His ability to deflect and hide were Olympic level for sure.

There were so many little Easter eggs and side stories that I find myself needing to know all about each of the side characters. You won’t want to miss out on this book.

She’s only gone and done it again. Love, love, love this one. I think this is a perfect book to round off a fantastic series. Coach Swift is so endearing because although grown up he is still that young man that left his heart to find his dream. He does some stupid things things that made me mad at him but you still understand where it comes from. I love Coach Swift Senior too. Such an awesome Character.
Clare? Clare is everything I aspire to be and more and I’m not even a parent. Although she thinks she’s a hot mess and not doing good enough (I think all mums feel this in their soul), She is fierce and strong and beautiful and resilient. And her amazing kids are an absolute testament to her. Cat is the epitome of how I would want my 19 year old to be, if I had one. She is all the best parts of Clare and more. If there was an eye rolling olympics these guys would be medalists.
She pushes Clare to get the best for herself.
And the snow pirates just make my chest swell with pride. Especially Linc. Even though he is a minor role in this story it’s impactful. You can genuinely see his growth.
This book is great as part of a series or stand alone.
I consider myself extremely lucky to have got this as an ARC read.

Second chances, real feels, spicy, and hilarious!

Life has been rough for our sexy silver fox coach, but fate brings his best friend and one who got away back into his life.

Admittedly, she is not grateful for that fateful meeting since she was standing in the women's hygiene products aisle trying to embabarrass her daughter. Who slipped him her mom's number.

I floved these two and their foibles and fumbles back to each other. Dealing with real life issues. Putting the past to bed. There are some seriously LMAO moments in this book as well as some awesome spicy times. And they are both so real.

And I love reading a story about older lovers and not just twenty somethings.

I received a review copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

I absolutely adored these characters!! This second chance couple were just so very deserving of just that! I I’ve loved Elliott in all of the previous books. He was such an amazing Coach and guy and I loved seeing him getting a H.E.A
Clare just made me feel so much. I’m happily married but my husband works a lot and I know how hard it can be sometimes to balance work life, mom life and a relationship, as well as your children going back and forth on making you feel appreciated for all you do for them. I think having Elliott back in her life is just what she needed! Ahh but communication is always what I’m screaming when reading!! Lol. Her daughter was a hoot and I think her son will have a better balance in his life now too 😊

Can I just say...I'm so glad I found Lasairiona McMaster and the Snow Pirates series. Every one of these books I have loved reading!! Even if the theme or trope wasn’t my favorite, the book was still super enjoyable. EVERY ONE OF THESE BOOKS MADE ME SMILE WHILE READING. I LOVED IT, LOVED THEM, LOVED THE MCs.

CANNOT BELIEVE THE SERIES IS OVER...and what an ending. Coach Swift just melts my heart. 🥰

I loved Clare, Cat and Mason. Clare was hilarious - her inner thoughts and the names for her ex cracked me up. I wasn't sure how I would like Coach Swift's story going into book 6, because so far we only had seen glimpses of him. It was not what I expected but it was so much better! I cannot wait to see where McMasters goes next with the cross-over series and the Raccoons.

The Snow Pirates series is all kinds of great and book 6, Two For Charging is the perfect second chance Romance. What Clare and Elliott find after years if being apart is just wonderful. This book has it all, from romance to drama and hockey hunks, and everything in between.
Clare and Elliott have loved each other since she kicked him in the shin in middle school. Life and a promising hockey career separated the two and broke Clare's heart and her self esteem.
Will years of separation and misunderstandings keep these two soul mates apart or will they both finally see they were meant to be each others' forever.
Two for Charging by Lasairiona E McMaster is a must read.lasairiona-e-mcmaster

I was so excited to see that this book was about Coach Swift, as I really enjoyed the snippets we saw of him in the earlier Snow Pirates books. Lasairiona writes "flawed" characters so beautifully, you really feel for/with them. Divorcées, single mother, a slightly older couple... I rejoiced in the second chance romance of Coach and Clare, and let's just say that when they get their moment, it's *fans blushing self* nice and spicy 🔥 Theirs is such a beautiful and heartwarming love story that pulls on your heartstrings in the best way. Another beautiful couple beautifully written.

And another big thank you to Lasairiona for the ARC of this book!

I always hoped Coach Swift would get his own book and he was definitely worth the wait. Elliott’s ability to love runs deep, from the kids his coaches all the way to long lost love for Clare. Clare is amazing! She is spunky, feisty and has so much sass. Which of course she passed to her daughter as well. Clare has been deeply hurt in her past but her resiliency and strength is what spoke to me. Despite it all she keeps going! Both suffer from failed love but risk putting themselves out there to try again and find out they didn’t lose everything and what is left is worth fighting for. So good!
