To Max Simmons, home was something that existed only in the movies. Growing up with a father who was forever chasing the next opportunity meant stops in towns from one coast to the other, too many schools to count, and nothing resembling that cozy idea of home.
In Max’s mind, Caston is nothing but another stop on the way to her next adventure, and teaching is only a necessary step along her path. When the cruelest of circumstances thrust Max into the spotlight, she’s more determined than ever to put Caston in the rearview mirror. But as she prepares to leave, unfamiliar feelings pull her back to the town and the friends that have somehow woven themselves into her life leading her to wonder if, at long last, she may be finding home.
Finding Home is the third book in the clean, contemporary romance series by Margaret Standafer. Get to know Ellie, Nicole, and Max as they navigate life’s twists and turns, forge lasting friendships, and dare to give love a chance, all while they brave a career none of them expected: middle school teacher.
I have been in love with reading since I was old enough to pick up a book. From helping Frodo save Middle Earth to screaming at Scarlett O’Hara to hurry up and realize Rhett Butler was the only man for her, books have taken me on countless adventures.
It took me much longer to realize I also love writing. For years I ignored my husband’s subtle and not-so-subtle hints that I should give writing a try. He was convinced I could do it. I wasn’t. When I finally sat down and started to put some of the stories in my head down on paper, I discovered not only could I do it, I discovered a whole new world of possibilities and adventures…a world where I could control the outcome. I’ve never been happier!
It is my sincere hope that you enjoy my writing. I’d love to hear from you whether it’s about something I’ve written or about something someone else has written and that you’ve read and loved. That’s the great thing about Goodreads…I can be a reader and a writer!
This is another incredible series. I'm so thrilled with this author and her subject matter. I am absolutely at home among her characters and her story lines. Every thing she writes fills my heart with comfort and joy. She is nothing short of incredible. Please give her writing the chance it deserves.
The third book in this series was my favorite. In reading the other two, I was intrigued by Max the most. All three books are worth reading. I loved watching the new friendships form and where their new lives would take them.
