Fight or f*ck. That’s how the Eschats live.
What started with unsolicited d!ck pics that led to an @rgy has resulted in the end of the world. While I’m happy in my new life with the seven Brothers of Eschat, living in their underground world of Manaalanian, there are questions left unanswered. Questions that require a lot of d!ck-in time to contemplate, make plans, and decide to put forth an effort to solve.
But we don’t actually find the person responsible for setting the end in motion. He finds us. And he needs our help to set the world right because now there’s something else interfering in his endeavor to rebuild civilization by unaliving everything that is left.
I said it before and I'll say it again; at least the men in this weird world are hot and hung. There are worse ways to spend my days. Like running from things that are set on killing me while my men fight for their very existence.
This is a polyamorous story with content not intended for those under 18 years of age due to graphic scenes and situations.

Crea lives in upstate New York with her dog and husband. She has been writing since grade school, when her second grade teacher had her class keep writing journals. She has a habit of creating secondary, and often time tertiary, characters that take over her stories. When she can't fall asleep at night, she thinks up new scenes for her characters to act out. This, of course, is how most of her meant-to-be-thrown-away characters tend to end up front and center - and utterly swoon-worthy! Don't ask her how many book boyfriends she has...

When not writing, Crea is an avid reader. Her TBR pile is several hundred books high (don't even look at her kindle wish list or the unread books on her tablet). Sometimes, she enjoys crafting; sometimes, exploring nature; sometimes, traveling. Mostly, she enjoys putting her characters on paper and breathing life into them. Oh, and sleeping. Crea loves to sleep!

Book two has us almost where book one left us. I’d recommend reading book one first, but that’s just me. (But this book will make more sense if you read book one)
And without giving too much away from book one….

Lux is still with her hot posse, they are discovering that “end of days” is still going to happen! And they are all linked to the end of days prophecy! They are still trying to correct the damage Kulki created! But there is also something else in the dark that’s trying to bring on the end of days….. and it’s harder to pin down….

Lux is still a strong character, but in parts she does become a little whiny! She also stops questioning things and lets her “guys” deal with issues! And I’ve also got issues with Sunny/Apo/Sham/Rage/Atar/Doom and Gedd, they’ve gone from wanting to save the world to almost “meh” 🫤 whatever!!

Kulki has a few chapters to have his say in the book, and also a few chapters dedicated to “nothing” (this is a character that interests me immensely) who are these characters? well in order to find out, you’ll need to read the books 😉 #sorrynotsorry

Still plenty of smut and spice, still lots of m/m, m/f/m, in fact throw those two letters in any direction and there they are 😜 all still at it.

I did get the feeling that the author didn’t really want to write this book, don’t get me wrong, the descriptions are spot on, continuity is dead on. It just felt a little half hearted.
I love this authors work, I’ve read most of it, but I have to admit, this isn’t my favourite couple of books!

Equipoise is the second book in Crea Reitan's Brothers of Eschat duet, and the story continues from where it left off!
Now, let me just say - I absolutely Loved book one. It was fun, steamy, full of surprises and some unique twists. Book two on the other hand, it fell flat unfortunately which was disappointing. It's great the author decided to give us more of these characters, but I feel that there ended up being a bit of a disconnect at the end of the day.
Lux was better in book one, in book two she doesn't seem like the same person. There is a ton of drama for sure in this book, and of course, a lot of what started all of this - sex. LOL! It's fantastic and some of the situations are pretty humorous, but it comes off as very "seat of your pants" for them. I just hate that we are left with questions left unanswered. I needed those burning questions answered!! It's never good to end with things unresolved and that's exactly what happens with this book.
For an overall duet, it's fun to read, but book by book, book one was way better than book two.

This is the sequel that I didn’t know I needed. Unlike many readers, I was satisfied with the ending of Unsolicited. So Equipoise surprised me. It went in unexpected directions. Lux and her men developed depths to their characters. The story was well written and kept me hooked from start to finish. The ending was something that I couldn’t see coming but I was thrilled by it. I highly recommend these 2 books if you like an unusual experience.

Equipoise is the second book in the Brothers of Eschat duet. THIS WAS A HUUUGE SURPRISE! I was totally not expecting a continuation. It's best to start with Unsolicited before starting this one. We were left with a HFN, so I'm so glad we ended up getting more to Lux and her guys. I loved this series and definitely a must read!

Spice: 4/5 more smut than plot

I preferred the 1st in this series, this one just seemed lesser but still good. A dark force has found topside and is finishing the job they didn’t finish so now they are on a mission to save everyone. Lux seemed to be the only reason they decided to make any steps to correct what was going on, but they love her so fully they were willing to do anything she asked. So sweet!

I have to admit I'm one of the few readers who didn't feel like this second book was needed. I quite liked how the first book had an open ending, relying on the reader to imagine his/her own ending to Lux' story and that of her men. That being said I'm not mad about it being written either; it's not as if anybody forced me to spend my time reading this book ;-).

So Equipoise is the second book in the "Brothers of Eschat" series, a duet that was never supposed to become a duet. While this story still has an interesting plot, most parts of this second book involve "eggplants'. With characters using their bodies to deal with stress, adrenaline, fear, and a lot of other emotions, it's not that hard to imagine the 'eggplants' getting a lot of action. Put that within a world where the apocalypse is threatening everything they ever knew, and stress becomes a set fixture to their lives. And the 'eggplants' are quite permanently erect...

I sincerely hope everyone understands the metaphor of an eggplant, because otherwise this becomes one of the weirdest book reviews ever... If you enjoy a lot of steamy action between characters, an interesting plot connecting all that steam, and you were mad about the open ending of the first book, I can definitely recommend this book.

Equipose come as a surprise. After Unsolicited, I thought we were done with Lux and her guys. The ending was bittersweet, but I made my peace with it and enjoyed it at the end.

When I saw this title though, I couldn't get to it fast enough. I had so much fun reading book 1, and if you thought book 1 was super hot, you're not ready for book 2. We find out more about the unresolved mysteries from book 1, but book 2 leaves us with even more questions. Lux and the guys need to find out who put everything in motion and about the marks that appeared on her.

So I was begging Crea for a sequel and boy did she deliver! I was hoping for a happy ever after sequel novella and I got a whole book instead with an even better story! It's great I love them all so much ❤️ it was really awesome to follow them along one more time for this great story!

I definitely didn't need a second book for Unsolicited, but of course, I'm not complaining that I got one. Although, I would have been happy with the open ending of Unsolicited too. It was mentioned in the acknowledgements at the end of Equipoise that there were readers who complained or just thought Crea Reitan ran out of time and published it. That's really not nice to say about an author.

As it was said, we don't live in the head of the author. And there is truth behind an open ending that a lot of people seem to ignore: you don't always get all the answers you're looking for in a book. Just because it's a book doesn't mean it has all the answers. What makes a book great are those pieces of reality in it.

There are so many unsolved mysteries in our world that no one can explain to us. We can accept that, but not when a book has an open ending? Why? Because it's reality and no one can turn back time or there were no witnesses?

The truth is, not even a book has to give us all the answers. And for me, it's something I like because it keeps the mystery alive and therefore the story too. I will keep thinking about it and add my own conclusions and thoughts to it, same as I do with the world. And that's the reason old cases and historical mysteries are still talked about, even years later.

But that's only on the sidelines. Back to the main theme, Equipoise. I loved it. It wasn't meant to be there, but it was a great conclusion nonetheless. Crea Reitan is a great author, and every story gives me something unexpected. And thinking of the fact that the author had issues writing this book, I appreciate that she still made the effort for us readers.

Of course, there were things I could predict too. But in my opinion, they were obvious at some point.

Sure, there were things I could relate to, more or less. For example, I can understand that the guys and Lux are only fixated on themselves and not the world around them. I mean, that is what I would do too. The relationship with our loved ones is the strongest, and of course, we try to keep them safe. But at the same time, I wouldn't condemn the world to die if I had a choice. Still, it wasn't like there wasn't anything else that mattered to them. Maanalainen, for example, was important because, in my view, it became their collective underground. Most of the Eschats lost their home undergrounds. So, giving them something new makes sense.

But generally, they never wanted to change or save the world. I mean, the Eschats are end theories. It's basically not their job. Even in the first book, it wasn't significant to them. Their focus was on Lux, and the rest just fell into their path. They had to deal with it, not by choice.

In Equipoise, it just continues. They do what they have to do because of Lux and what she wants, and they don't have a choice when there is something else that tries to destroy them and their home. And I liked the addition of their inner changes. They were still them, but learned something new too.

And Nothing was definitely interesting as well. During the read, I thought a lot about how everything was related to each other. Why did Nothing exist? Was he necessary? Kalki?

In the end, I still had questions. I can live with it because, as I said, it adds some mystery and it wasn't the main concern. But who destroyed the undergrounds of the Eschats, and why? What about their temples and churches? Why were they left untouched? Was it Kalki or Nothing? Kendi was a mystery too. She seemed to be the only one who knew anything about Ingles, but no one else did. And what about the Moonless Night University? Why was it also left untouched and why did everyone act like nothing happened? Lastly, what is going on with Lux now after her change at the end?

I know that I won't get answers to these questions, as the author had closed that "door" since she didn't have a good experience writing this book and only did it, because of us readers. She already said, she will not do that again. But it doesn't matter, I still loved it.

Crea is a wish-granting fairy and apparently, my wish was heard. I read Unsolicited and of course, loved it but what was supposed to be a standalone was left open-ended. I understood Crea's creative choices but I was so not ready for Lux's story to end. Crea then surprised readers by giving us the second book, making The Brothers of Eschat a duology. Equipoise was absolutely fantastic.

Things between Lux and the guys are great, there is love there. All the guys are head over heels for Lux, finding a lot of things about her to be adorable. It's also pretty obvious that the boys are more than f-buddies. I can see a real relationship that is full of caring, love, and respect, and Lux fits right in. She's adjusting to things just fine but it's apparent that the guys really needed Lux. She's questioning things, making them care about stuff they should have been questioning but just let fall to the side. They may protect her physically but it was her intelligence that helped them this time.

So the first book left off with a lot of questions. Who killed Ingles? Who locked away the guys? Who is destroying the underground? And probably many more. There turned out to be more questions than answers in this book but I'm satisfied with the answers I did get. There were two surprise characters, one of them being Kalku, who could have been called a sociopath if he was human. The man is a trip who is annoying af. The scenes with him and Grim (Doom's cat) were the best. I don't care if Crea intended it or not but Grim can't be a normal cat, I refused to believe it before and after reading Equipoise I'm doubling down on that. I liked getting a better understanding of the underground, traveling from place to place the ideas of different magical villages. In every person there's a little kid who loves traveling to magical places through doors and this series gave me that, and I loved that Equipoise really brought attention to that.

It's so hard to say goodbye to a story I love so much but Equipoise was a fantastic ending to Lux's story. A lot of questions were answered, the steam had set the book on fire (I'm not mad about it), and there was lots of adventure. The plot was unexpected and that only made me enjoy it more. The ending was only the beginning. Crea manages to give readers a happy ending but it feels like Lux and the guys have so many possibilities ahead of them and I'm okay with the series ending there.

Spoilers for book 1 may be present -- overall a good company book

~~As this is the second book in the duet review will have some spoilers containing to book 1 ~~

This book gave me mixed feelings. Overall the writing is amazing. I adore the concept of the story and its uniqueness. I also love that we do end up get answers to the story (we were not promised any as book 1 was originally a standalone). I'm happy with the ending received and while there are still questions, personally, I enjoyed the ending.
Overall Story 💜💜💜💜💜
The plot was interesting, it had several different points that the characters had to work through and reach. However - and this is mainly a character 'flaw' - they were often unwilling to do the work necessary or not able to look at things with concern in order to actually move the plot. But just the actual story line was fun and it wasnt something super predictable.
Plot 💙💙💙💙
Spicy Scenes
OMG are they hot. Pack a ponch, an umbrella, and a towel you'll need it. There are a lot of scenes and they are spicy.
****Personal controversial opinion****
There might be too many spicy scenes sometimes to the detriment of the movement of the story. HOWEVER I feel book 1 was worse with this AND it has been established that this is how these characters behave and it would be weird if these character no longer acted in his manner
Spicy Scenes 🌶🌶🌶🌶
Characters
All the characters are unique, have different personalities and equal 'screen' time. This can be hard to manage with just 2 or 3 in a harem never mind 7.
****Controversial Character Opinion****
FMC: I liked the FMC in book 1 but in book 2 she became whiny and kind of lost her voice and back bone. While she still offers opinions when shes not listened to she just allows it.
HAREM: OMG one of the men said it bed "What if it's just some other bull$#*+ that's snuck up on us and we dont pay enough attention until it's too late to so something about it?" And honestly I feel that quote is accurate for their entire lives.
Villans: omg was that final showdown lame.
Fmc hero arc: so we never find out why the guys get attached to her, what's up with the marks, why she gets the marks of 2 Eschats shes never met (nor do they ever investigate this), we never find out how shes brought back from the dead and her final arc is 1 chapter long.
Characters: 🖤🖤

Final Thoughts:
Did you read book 1?
Yes - Did you like it? Yes - Read Book 2 On the Fence - Read book 2 No - Read something else by Reitan
No - What kind of monster reads book 2 before 1?

4.5*

First and foremost can we just agree that Reitan is an absolute queen for listening to her readers and turning what was meant to be a standalone into a duet. This book got an additional star just for that. However, I felt as though reading this book was bitter sweet. My questions from book 1 were answered, but the overall vibe from the book was that of reluctance. Reitan made it clear she wanted the story of Lux and the Eschats to be a standalone and for the ending to be open to the reader's interpretation, so there was a definite feeling Reitan wasn’t totally committed to this book. That wasn’t to say it wasn’t well written or I didn’t deep dive into the story, just that it may have been a more enjoyable story if I knew Reitan had been planning on taking this story further that ‘Unsolicited’ went. Though, if we’re being honest, she has no one to blame but herself from creating an entertaining and intriguing group of characters and plot that I was not willing to let go of!

‘Equipoise’ answered the questions ‘Unsolicited’ caused, it was interesting to see who/what was behind the world coming to an end and why, the significance of Ingles and what happens next for our group of world-enders. What I loved about this book is the slowly developing emotions with the guys. From having the emotional range of ‘fight or f**k’ at their most dangerous and ‘f**k and cuddle’ at their calmest, Reitan took them through the emotional wringer in this book, as they begin to realise that just because they’re indestructible does not mean their lives can’t be destroyed. From Lux’s death, their own personal pockets being breached and their purposed questioned; the Eschats’ are forced to process a lot of new feelings that ‘d**k in’ just can’t fix. I just wanted to wrap them all up in blankets, give them cuddles and tell them it was all going to be okay - I find it really unfair that I physically do this... That being said, Reitan did not let us down with scenes that will steam up your Kindle and leave you all hot and bothered.

By the end of this book I still had questions I wanted answers to, both old and new. However, the need to have them answered lacked the urgency ‘Unsolicited’ provoked. With most of my curiosity satiated with the journey Lux and the Eschats made, I have taken on a more apathetic attitude. The group did what they could; the found the answers to the bigger mysteries and managed to save their home and the people living there. What more could you want. These monsters were created to bring the end of days, until then they are more than happy to enjoy each other and live their happily ever after and I’m more than happy to accept it.

We didn’t expect this book. Book 1 was supposed to be a standalone, but there were enough questions left open that a second book or future books weren’t ruled out. This book picked up right where book 1 left off. Lux and her men are together. They are investigating what happened to Ingles, who can’t be quite what he seemed to be. Without any obvious answers, and no real guidance on where to get them, they kind of stay in their own bubble.
Things I like about this story- its unique. The characters, the plot line, the writing is good…there’s a lot of spice.

Things that were so so about the story- there are still a lot of questions that were unanswered. Was it on purpose to leave it open for a possibility of another book? Maybe… it didn’t end on a cliffhanger, so its not like I’m dying for the answers, but it feels… unfinished. Also, there’s a lot of spice. Dare I say, almost too much. It was built into the characters, and warned etc. But its almost mind numbing, and paging flipping inducing… in order to get to the next scene. With 7 guys and her in the harem, its almost hard to keep track of what’s going on in the pile and on the side most of the time.

Some questions I still have- what was the connection of her to the guys in the first place? She was human originally.. What was so special about her that the guys left the marks on her? They don’t know, and we don’t know as a reader. So there are things like that that I question and wonder about…. But, the world is interesting, and I’ll still read anything that comes out next, if anything does.

The duet that wasn’t meant to be a duet 🙈
So the first book was originally a standalone, however there were unanswered questions on that one pertaining to the larger story arc.
You cannot read this book without reading the first as the overall story will not make any sense!
The questions that weren’t answered are addressed within this book as Lux and her end monsters try to right the wrongs of Kulki and maintain what’s left of the world 😬
This is definitely Lux showing her continuing strength and driving for answers and the monsters are a bit blasé about it all, kinda get the feeling they’re not that bothered which is a little ‘wanting to slap them at times’ but I guess it fits their characters as the ends!
This is veryyy smut heavy, as the first, they deal with every emotion with a ‘🍆-in’ essentially a smutty circle time and there’s plenty of group scenes with their different forms coming out to play again 🔥🌶️
I do like the originality of this storyline, can’t say I’ve read anything like it before 😄
Although the author did not want to write this (read the author note at the back) for me it ties everything up nicely!

I wasn't sure if Crea would ever get back to this story since she left it more open ended at the end of Unsolicited, but I am so glad that she did. So many questions got answered even if I still have some more after this book ended. It was so great to see Lux and her guys again and see how their lives had progressed since the previous book.

You see several changes in this book, more so with the guys. As ending beings, Lux's guys never really had emotions other than rage really, but you start to see something going on with them. More connections seem to be growing in a way they never expected. Their habits from the first book, although still prominent in this one, don't seem as necessary to calm them down, their monsters more tame. New experiences all around. It was so nice to see some moments and actions that probably would have never happened if Lux were not in their lives. Having someone important in their lives made something other than the ends of the world their priority and made them grow as monsters. Not literally, but emotionally. You see more compassion, pride for their people, and a desire to be shown respect instead of fear. All changes for the better, in my opinion. I'm so glad Crea gave us this book so we could see it all.

What A World Ending Sequel!!!

Ok first in the foreword after the book the author says she was gonna let Unsolicited be an open ending Sequel!?! I know right! But I am so freaking glad she did infact do a Sequel!!!
If you've read book 1 then you know the Eschats and Lux basically ended the world!!! Crazy I know but damn such a great read wth hotness overload!!!😍
Anyway now book 2 picks up right after and we are seeing consequences of the world coming to a literal end!! There's the annoying Kalki who is begging for the Eschats help... Again to stop... Well Nothing... Yeah you'll understand that as you read this!
The World needs rebuilding and they run into a few... Snags I guess I should say!
It does end on a good note in case your wondering but the journey to that ending is one H3(( of a roller coaster ride!!!
While Lux and her Monsters figure out the snags to fix the world or what's left they still find time to get into quite a few... Cough... Orgies... Cough
Whoooo gotta Fan myself!!😘😈
Now stop reading this... Assuming you made it this far and go start reading!!!!
❤😘❤ENJOY!!❤😘❤

This book is a continuation of Unsolicited. Although book one was meant to be a standalone, this book wraps up the open ended story-line and provides the reader with....the rest of the story. So exactly what do the Eschats do with themselves after fulfilling their purpose and ending the world? Well sort of. Well....they f**** and enjoy spending time with their lost brothers and with Lux. This book has steam....lots and lots of steam, but if you read book one, you should be expecting that. Mixed in with all of that steam is an interesting story-line in which the group wanders around from world to world trying to decide how to fix the Nothing that they unleashed when the left the world's ending unfinished. It may seem like the characters are disjointed and aimless, but I think that is the point. They just don't know what to do with themselves or really if they even care. After all, they only have one purpose, right. I enjoyed the journey and the characters growth as they work to figure out what happened and what to do. Great 2nd book.

I absolutely love this writer and her books. Sit seems like she is always trying to find something new and different to write about and does stick to the norms it seems. This has drawn me into her writings and this book is no different. It’s book 2 and again it’s based on a harem of apocalyptic men. She has taken real world apocalypses and turn them into men. In this story we continue with Lux and her 7 men. They did t find out who ended the world previously but in this book the one that was involved seeks them after things are not going as he had planned. This books takes us further into the journey and we get onto learn more and get answers to questions that we were left with in the last book. I don’t want to give much away but they get what would be a happy ending for them. I would recommend anyone to read this if you are looking for something a little outside the ordinary. I do t think you’ll be disappointed

Equipoise, the second book in the Brothers of Eschat series by Crea Reitan was the perfect continuation and I absolutely loved Lux and the seven sexy Brothers of Eschat!

Picking right up where the first book left us with quite the earth ending revelation, this book jumps right into the mix and doesn’t hold back. With new villains and new adventures around every corner Lux and her men are in for quite the journey! And if you thought their chemistry was explosive in the first one….just you wait ;)

Overall if you love polyamorous romances then Buckley up because Crea did it once again! So if you’re ready for you another intriguing story full of heat, chemistry and amazing characters then this is the one for you! Especially if you read the first one and had some unanswered questions because I’m happy to report that in this one we finally got some much waited for answers that will be sure to please any fans!

This book has a different feel to it that the first book. In the first book there was a lot of action going on - both literally and figuratively. It made for an interesting read, but I really didn't connect with the characters. This book takes a different route. While trying to solve the mysteries of the first book and find out why everything happened and who was behind it Lux and her guys seem to go on an emotional journey as well. They are all evolving - Lux is becoming more like her guys when she realizes that she lost everyone in her life and should be morning but simply isn't, and the guys who usually don't seem to care about anything but each other find themselves trying to process their own feelings when some of them begin to realize that they too have suffered great loss.

While the author still lays on the spice pretty thick I think the emotional aspect does a great job of balancing it out.

I got to the end of the previous book, and while I was somewhat distressed not to have all the answers presented to me, neatly gift-wrapped with a bow, I was also intrigued by the fact that the author had left me this entire world for my imagination to simply play in. However, I’m also beyond grateful to be able to come back to this world and discover those answers I really kind of badly wanted to know. I loved Lux and the Eschats. I loved all the possibilities their existence suggested. I loved seeing them grow and learn through the course of this book. And, perhaps my favorite part, I loved that even though I have a bunch of those answers, the author left the door open for my imagination to still take new theories out for a test drive wherever the Eschats might end up next.
I received a complimentary advance copy of this book from the author.

the second book in the Brothers of Eschat series takes off right where the previous book ended. In true eschatorian way it is centered about a prophecy about the end of the world, and after discovering there is a connection to the prophecy, Lux and her harem go all in to get the best of the situation... and of course try to stop the worst from happening, as the damage from previous story wasn't yet repaired. The second book has more focus on character development, with again lots of steamy scenes (very creative ones, all you can imagine) and strong chemistry, but I felt a bit disconnected this time. If smut if your fav, then by all means go for it and take the book (recommending to read Unsolicited first though), but if on the contrary you'd like a little more depth to your stories, you might get a bit disappointed. Not bad but not excellent either.

I tell you Crea's book's are for real never dull or boring they literally suck you in and take you on a wild ride. This is the continuation of Lux and her posse of 7 the Brothers of Eschats I swear this wild gang was something else they lived by the We either Fight or F*ck rule to keep themselves under control, and since they brought on the end that last part is what they set out to do until thing's started to not go right. There was so many thing's taking place in here and then that boobytrap room for Lux oh my lord talk about lil shop of horrors lol.

You need to read book 1 Unsolicited first to understand just what's going on before going into this book or you'll be a lil confused. I didn't know that until I finished this book lol, but I was still able to understand thing's while reading it, so it's up to you, but this story was so good. I'd definitely recommend.

When I finished book 1, I was really looking forward to the sequel. I liked that there was a brief explanation of what happened in book 1 — because, let’s be honest, sometimes it’s easy to confuse storylines especially if you read a few different series. So, anyway, once I was reminded of this awesome story, I was eager to get into it. Please read the “trigger warning” too, this book does have a lot of, um, action. That was fine for me, didn’t mind it too much. I really love the premise of a team of doomsday slash end-of-the-world characters based off myths and legends. There were a couple of interesting developments. Overall, good character development, and dynamics between the team. I liked the book, but not sure why I didn’t love it though. Still, an enjoyable read!

Everyone wanted more Lux and her men and here we are with book two. We pick up the story after Lux’s men destroy most of the world. Lux and her men spend most of their days doing lots and lots of sexy time together. Kalki is starting to rebuild the world but everything step he takes something comes behind him and destroys it. Lux wants to find out who killed Ingles. She wants answers. So her and her men decide to go looking for the answers. Kalki wants their help with finding out what’s destroying his work. They don’t want to help him because of something he did. Will Lux get the answers to her questions? Will Kalki find out who’s destroying all his work? Will the world get a chance to start over? Read the book to find out.

This book was a pleasant surprise, and I’m not even mad that I thought it would be originally a 1 book series. This book answered basically every open ended question the previous could have offered, and may exceed it in sexy time and steam. It also, however, poses as more of a mystery book than the first. Our girl has quite a few questions that she wants answered and her men are happy to oblige. Albeit, that’s the only reason they’re really doing it in the beginning, but whatever makes Lux happy, they’ll happily agree to. There were quite a few surprises as well, and the ending was everything I could have hoped for. While the “final battle” was a tad anticlimactic, after reading the authors note at the end, I totally get everything.

Did I enjoy the read…. Yes and no. We definitely weren’t expecting book 2 and I felt like book 1 left a lot of questions answered. While we did get some of those answers I felt like we didn’t cover everything that needed answering. I would’ve enjoyed more plot over the spicy scenes only because there’s so much that happens in this world and I NEED all the answers. The spicy scenes did not disappoint in anyway though I can confidently say that! My main gripe with book 2 is just that we didn’t really get all of the answers and that the characters just didn’t investigate the things I felt like they should’ve. Since we still have questions unanswered I’m holding out hope that we will get a book 3 lol. Overall, it was a good story though and I still loved the characters as I did in book 1!

This was a fab and unexpected conclusion to the first book, Unsolicited. The author took our characters and gave them more challenges, twists and plenty of steam to let us let them go ;P We get a lot of closure from the first book, and an ending like nothing I expected, but she left more questions unanswered for us to stew on and wonder about. Lol! I'm thankful that she did write a book 2 but I totally get why she really didn't plan to. Not everything has to come to us on a platter and I know that I pondered Unsolicited a lot. So I'd say she did a fab job, all round, to keep me focused on her words ;D

I was ecstatic to finally get the sequel to Unsolicited, and it did not disappoint! Lux and her men are back with all the smexy times I was expecting and the end to their story that wrapped up most of the burning questions I had left dangling in the end of book one. Its so well-written though that I almost don't care. The story is entertaining but the characters are flawed in ways that made them more interesting at the start yet somewhat annoying as the series wore on with their inability to grow and change and adapt with the situations and plotline. However, all that being said, it's a great series and one I enjoyed reading, if I don't think too hard about it.
