The Guy Code. Those unwritten rules of behavior that generally work to keep men from tearing each other apart.

Rule #1: Keep your hands off your best friend's little sister. Simple and straightforward. Unless we're talking about Allison Taylor, all grown up and dropped in my lap drenched in whipped cream and topped with a cherry. (Don't ask.)

When fate slams us together for a few weeks, all I have to do is keep my hands off her luscious curves. Yup. The same curves I've been lusting after for years. Good thing I don't mind breaking a few rules.

Alli has been in love with Beau forever, but assumed he’d never have any interest in a wallflower like herself. Beau has been attracted to Alli since the summer he graduated college and she graduated high school. What kept him from acting on any of it were her overprotective brothers, who’d warned him away from their sister when they were kids.

Now a successful NFL player, Beau has landed in tabloid hell and needs to clean up his public persona. Alli is the perfect squeaky clean fake love interest Beau’s publicist believes can redeem him before the masses: she’s kind, devoted to animal charities, and is completely against the physical types he’s been seen with in the press.

Just when things heat up on their “fake” dates, another blow to Beau’s reputation threatens to destroy their happiness. Can they survive the aftermath of bad PR?

This was a cute, short brothers’ best friend story with a little bit of steam, and low-ish angst. It does involve a virgin which isn’t really my thing, but New Adult fans will love it.

I was fortunate to receive an advance reader copy from the author and booksirens, and I’m sharing my honest opinion.

This is kind of a Instalove, second-chance, forbidden love mash up and it all kind of works.

Alli has been in love with Beau, her three older brother's best friend, since they were children. Little does she know he's been pining for her since then also. He's now a famous football player who comes home to help with a charity event after he smudges his reputation a little. They instantly fall back in love and give in. It was cute enough given the length of the story.

Bee seems to go back and forth between a decent amount of spice with her books or severely lacking in the spice. This one was lacking. I have a feeling it's cause Alli was a virgin (not a trope I normally go for).

All in all, Bee yet again doesn't disappoint with her quick, funny short stories.

I received a digital ARC of this novella. This is my first time reading this author but it won’t be the last. I read this book in less than 2 hours. I’m not going to lie, I was a little bummed it was so short, I feel like there’s enough story for a full length book. Alli is a curvy woman who has a crush on her brothers’ best friend Beau. They grew up together, but now he’s a famous NFL player. There’s only one problem he’s always seen with stick thin models. Beau has a secret too though, he’s always had a crush on Alli, but knew that her 3 brothers would kill him if he even looks at her…it’s guy code. But what happens when his agent asks Alli to stand in for her for a few events with Beau? This is the first book in a series.

This is the second book out of the four in this series that I've read (I found the second one first and now I'm reading the others). They really can be read as stand alone books, but some characters are referenced so it does help a bit to read them in order….ooops lol. These books are not long at all, but have a lot of packed into them.

Since they are so short I will not give anything away, other than they are a quick fulfilling read. The characters are enjoyable and real, and you want them to be happy. Definitely worth reading!!

This was a good short story, Beau and Alli made a good couple. Alli helped Beau out after he had a run in with the law. Alli's brothers are protective and try to keep Beau in line. There was an attraction in the past and seeing each other now has brought all those feelings back.

Funny – dating best friend’s sister! This is about Alli and Beau. They have both been crushing on each other for years, but now that Beau needs to clean up his image, his publicist, who is about to give birth any minute, decides to ask Alli to help him while she is resting until birth and he would donate a considerable amount to her animal shelter. Well, sure enough, this is where he lays out the cards for her and tells her she has always been the one. She confesses the same! The ending was the funniest of all; Harley takes the show in more ways than one!

The story was funny, romantic and had all the feels. It also made me laugh out loud at times. I cannot wait to read more books in this series. They're the perfect length for when you need a little break and a great HEA. So good!

Beau and Alli were quite the pair. The Guy Code is something everyone knows about but really hard to follow the rule. This was a fun book to read and I enjoyed it. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good either. I should have finished this in less than an hour but it took me two days to finish. I wasn’t motivated to finish.

Also, Harley was my favorite character.
