looking forward to the next!
The series is a fresh take on wolf shifters & I have enjoyed each one. I love the concept of a female academic leading a pack of wolves.
I’m not terribly interested in the sex scenes which seem written well-enough; it’s just not my thing. I’m not much of a reverse harem person. I skim them so I don’t miss any plot points & get back to the story.
I really hate the sadist/rapist Akihiro Tanaka so I was pleased to not have to interact with him as a reader in this book.
I’d love to see more involvement of female shifters- I think Syn in the last book and Emily and the Russian twins in this book were an excellent counterpoint to the male-dominated (by necessity) plot line. Thanks for a fun read!!!

Definitely has bang for the buck!!!
Breedlove is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors and this series is most assuredly in my collection!
For those that have not considered the Age of Enlightenment that anyone can be anything they dare dream and plenty they had no clue about to dream of in the first place, these books and characters will bring all of that home to you.
I’m so impressed with the way this series is going and I hope they make it to a rip roaring 100 of them, yes, they are THAT delicious!!
For a few reasons I won’t divulge here, no spoilers folks, but I have to say Private shelf, Not family friendly.

A-freaking-mazing
I am not sure what else I can say about this series that I have not already written in previous reviews. Just read it! And reread it! It is SO REFRESHING to read about mature - and not just physically- characters that think about the world and their place in it. I love learning about how she thinks about cultures- it has expanded my world just like all the best books do, regardless of genre or subject.

If you like your FMC older, wiser, and a true bad ass - this series is for you!

Wow! Another great read by LJ Breedlove.
The story of the Hat Island Pack and the world of shifters continues to develop as Abby continues with her tour of the packs in her capacity as Chairman of the Northwest Council of Alphas and her requiring all Alpha pack leaders in her region to take an oath of alliegance with three conditions.
Beta Wolf, as with the author's other books in this series, picks up immediately where Missing Pieces the previous book in the series ends.
What I particularly enjoyed about this book is how much more we learn about the many main and previously secondary (eg Geoff) characters and are introduced to new ones that are likely going to become important in their own right in future novels of the series (Gene maybe - wait till you read what he shifts into!). And the book's ending is unexpected but a lovely surprise.
The writing is intelligent, logical, with good details and engaging dialogue in a fast-paced story over seven days with many action scenes (lots of shifter fights). Love the banter and teasing among Abby's inner circle. Good bits of humour sprinkled throughout the book. I found myself grinning and sometimes laughing out aloud in places. Also love how Breedlove gives her readers more indepth knowledge of the shifter world and adds complexity to it all, some mystical.
The author does not shy away from difficult scenes such as the ones involving what happened to human women the Vancouver pack kidnapped and changed into made-wolves, and to Abby when she in the hands of the power-hungry antagonist. And Breedlove has fun with the sexy scenes involving polyamory for Abby and Margarite.
All in all I thoroughly enjoyed this book and finished it within a day. Highly recommended. The more I read this series, the more I know that these novels will be re-reads for me, not something I usually do.
One of the lovely quotes from the book, said to Abby: "You really need a life coach on how to Alpha, don't you? Alphas don't listen, they give orders."
Now, on to the next one book - Girls School.

Wow!
Another great story in the Wolf Harbor series! Had me on the edge of my seat with the tension! And why are these men such misogynistic assholes! For every good male shifter we meet there’s like a gazillion assholes subjugating women! This world needed Abby to come in and wreck shop! Why do they continue to try her! She discovers more and more about herself with each book. And she has to do things she never thought she’d ever do. Some good and clearly a lot of fun for her and others not so much. We meet some new people and all kinds of interesting things pop off from that. Can’t wait for the next book later this month!
