In this, her second book, Julie Elroy once again gives us Bible verses to help us through our lives. She starts each chapter with a painting of the subject to help us think of it as we meditate on the Scripture given. My favorites are "Experiencing the Pieta", "I'm Coming", and "Roots in the Rock". Each evoke emotions for me that may resonate with others as they read the corresponding verses and stories. Although she says these are mediations to serve as a starting point for own's own meditations, I like to think of them more as devotions. Whatever you call them, they will help you remember the love God has for you and for all of us. Use this book to remind you of God's love and sacrifice of his son Jesus.
