This is a fantastic collection of articles originally published in the Lutheran Quarterly Journal by a number of different Lutheran theologians. As the title of the book notes, it addresses the "Common Places in Christian Theology"; that is, it deals with topics like the Law, the Trinity, the Gospel, Justification by Faith, Vocation, and Eschatology. It deals with the main doctrines of the Christian faith. Even though it does this from a distinctly Lutheran perspective, this is really a book that all Christians should consider picking up, reading, and thinking through. There is a treasure trove of riches in here!
