So.....book three had all the goodness too
The entire Irresistible Husband series was a total grand slam hit. I enjoyed each story. The happy ending always makes my day... Spoken in my Clint Eastwood voice... Xavier was the last one to get his hearts desire with Zena as his choice. I liked the realities this author showed with Zena's weight and how that impacted her self esteem. Body shaming is prevalent in the entertainment industry, as folks always speak unkind in that regard. I was more impressed with Xavier. That man loved Zena's singing, her personality, and his strong attraction to Zena's was explicitly stated every time she needed to hear realness. Bravo for a magnificent series.

Choose Me is part of the Irresistible Husband Series and tells the beautiful love story of Zena and Xavier. I absolutely loved this story! Zena and Xavier meet in the most unexpected way when he steps in to rescue her from a nasty argument with her manager. He is her Black Knight indeed! Zena and Xavier are real and relatable characters with amazing chemistry. Xavier is the type of man women deserve. He is thoughtful, supportive, and oh so swoony. I loved how he made it clear he loved everything about Zena and constantly reminded her of her worth. Zena is strong and driven. She has been hurt by broken promises, but Xavier shows her he is worth giving her heart to. Zena and Xavier found what they needed in each other, and I enjoyed witnessing them fall in love. Their journey is so refreshing and left me with a huge smile on my face.

Wesleigh Siobhan and Midnite Michael did a fantastic job portraying Zena and Xavier, and really brought these two amazing characters to life. I could feel their chemistry, the pain of past relationships and family trauma, and the emotions associated with Zena and Xavier's journey to love. If you don’t see yourself in Zena and Xavier, I’m sure you have a friend or family member who has gone through it like them. It was such an honest depiction of what love is, or what it could be in the best scenarios.
I will say that I was pleasantly surprised by the level of heat in this story. Miss Sheryl turned up the heat about midway through and I am all for it!
🎧 I had the absolute honor to listen to an advance copy of this audiobook and let me tell you, get it! Wesleigh Siobhan and Midnite Michael were smooth like butter together. I loved the way Wesleigh effortlessly played the different characters so that they felt like complete different people. Midnite has that late night radio host voice that I could listen to for hours.
TLDR: Realistic, Grown Folks romance with a surprising kick of heat.

Xavier is not looking for any romantic involvement. He's still recovering from a bad break-up that left him with a stalkerish ex. But Zena is lovely, she sings like an angel and he just can't stay away.
Zena can't believe someone like Xavier exists: handsome, gentlemanly and extremely supportive. She's also been hurt before, but Xavier is making it really hard to resist him.
Narrated dual style by the amazing Wesleigh Siobhan and the incredibly talented Midnite Michael, this novella-length audiobook was like a warm hug. While the story doesn't shy away from heavy topics, it's done n a delicate way. Both narrators are perfect in their roles. Wesleigh's range in showing emotion and tone is unmatched and Michael is quickly becoming a new favorite. A wonderful audio experience.

Vulnerability leads to authentic love ❤️
I know the collaborating authors say you can read the stories in whatever order, but I would highly recommend the order of Delaney Diamond, Sharon C. Cooper then Sheryl Lister.
As for the story of Xavier and Zena, can you just say score one for the passion, dream supporting, compassionate walk in your purpose couples.
The meeting between Xavier and Zena was just as described as destiny. You see two people who understand family and love. Zena, having endured so much from her past, deserved a win 🏆 personally and professionally.
Xavier was a balanced human. A man who, despite a past failed relationship, was able to know what he desired and followed through. He was strong in all the ways one needs. He was that strength that allowed Zena's vulnerability to be received.
Sheryl was able to tell this story in only the way she knew how. You have transparency and loyalty amongst friends and family. You have the undeniable love connection that breaks down walls and second ingredients guessing. You have passion that is filled with the purpose of forever. You have love that blooms and flourishes to the very last page.

Great choice by the both of them!
Xavier and Zena are the last couple in this trio of cousins who found the love of their lives! This story took me on many highs and some very disheartening lows(the exes of both Xavier and Zena)! When people have their own agenda while engaging with people, their callousness can leave lasting scars! Thankfully Xavier knew who and what he wanted and was not afraid of going after her. Xavier's cousin did what I was hoping would be done to Xavier's ex and he did what was so necessary to Zena's ex/manager! Some people need to know when to move on and now those exes do! Great job Sheryl! You ladies kept the theme of this collaboration so seamless that each one felt like a continuation of the same story! I find that to be remarkable!!!!! I enjoyed all of these stories from beginning to end! Thanks again Sheryl, you have a best seller on your hands!

I loved Zena and Xavier’s story!! They have this unexpected meeting - I love a great meet-cute…well ok the situation wasn’t cute but you could tell they had an immediate connection. Talk about chemistry! Xavier was swoon worthy and supportive and I really loved his character. Zena was so talented and strong and I loved seeing her feel safe and supported.
I thought the audio for this book so good!! Both narrators were new to me and let me tell you, they really brought the chemistry and emotion to this book! Yes this is a swoon worthy romance but there are also some tough topics and they were really handled with care.
I also loved the secondary characters (especially Xavier’s cousin!!!) and as for Mike…well, he got what was coming to him!

[Side note: Chase, Reggie and Xavier are close like brothers.] Xavier, CEO of his family’s trucking company, along with his cousin, April, comes to the rescue of Zena Henderson, a talented singer, who is looking for that singing contract breakthrough. It’s obvious she has picked the wrong manager, who does not have her best interests at heart. In steps the Black Knight (Xavier). You’ll get that when you read this entertaining story. I love how the author connects this story to the other two stories in the series. There are surprising cameos by two of my favorite characters from other books by the author. No spoilers. I’ll let you discover who they are when you read the story. There’s also a great scene with Xavier’s stalker ex-girlfriend. I love Xavier and Zena’s love story, and you will, too.

Oh my!! Xavier was in the right place at the right time! When he first met Zena, she needed rescuing from her jerk of a manager. Something ignited between them from the very start. Zena has self esteem issues because of her weight, and losing her parents and Grandmother. They were all she had left. When her Black Knight Xavier entered the picture, he showed her love I. Ways that she could never have imagined. He also helped her to get her singing career off the ground. They were perfect together. I’m just glad that her former manager, Mike, got what he deserved! Thank you Sheryl Lister for this amazing book!! You didn’t disappoint! But then, I didn’t expect anything less! ❤️🔥

Xavier didn't realize going to eat with his cousin for lunch he would meat his one and only, Zena's heart has been broken so many times that she trust issues. Mike her manager was a ass and Xavier became her Black Knight... I love how the chemistry was so strong between them and he showed her how a Queen is treated... I was laughing how April pulled Lyndia's weave 😂😂 now on to the next book

From dismay to her forever
Xavier could not believe an incident he was witnessing in the diner he was in with his cousin. Zena was trying to end her lousy business relationship with her singing manager. What began as him saving a woman indistress led to his heart being mended. Zena found her Black knight and a life changing situation on a few fronts. Fabulous read dripping with heat and romance.

I really enjoyed this story. Zena and Xavier meet in the craziest way and as much as Xavier wanted to deny it it was an instant attraction for him. Xavier saves Zena from a really heated argument with her ex-manager. I love the representation of body in this story and appreciated Xavier reminding Zena how beautiful she is. Not only does he remind her of her worth, he also helps her with her music career. A black knight in shinning armor! The story was so well written, every time Zena got on stage and sang I felt like I was right with Xavier listening to her! There was no playing games between them and I love that even though Zena was struggling through her insecurities, Xavier didn't run away when things got difficult.

First off, I love the names Xavier and Zena. Their characters matched perfectly with the names. Their love story was so heartfelt and realistic. I really enjoyed their story of conquering fear and never giving up on your dreams. Kudos to Sheryl Lister on writing an awesome story.

Fear Is In Control
Zena, has lost so much and being a plus size lady doesn't help matters. An embarrassing situation connects her to the " Black Knight." However, fear in in control, will her knight help her get pass her fears and realize her dreams?
I enjoyed the overlapping of the Irresistible Husband series and the close connection of the cousins.

I knew this book was going to be good. Sheryl Lister never disappoints. To say that I'm one of her biggest fans is an understatement. Her characters are always so relatable and real. I love Zena and Xavier, and I am so happy they found each other. You never know what's in store for you so keep believing in love and yourself.

I love a good love story. One where the main male character comes to the rescue of the main female character and they fall in love. I love a story where there is support in ones dreams and by the end of the story, there is a happily ever after. The narration was 🔥🔥. Great job definitely recommending the series.

Excellent read, I enjoyed the characters and storyline. Xavier came to Zena’s rescue in a cafe. Their attraction was instantaneous. This is their journey to love overcoming insecurities, past relationships and lost. This was a beautiful love story.

Words hurt, especially when it refers to ones image. All people are not slim and petite. Some men like women of a larger size. All men don't want boney women. Hands up for men who lok at the person and not her dress or shoe size.

Wonderful read of two people who had bad relationships in the past but found each other and their HEA together. I really Xavier very much and was glad he hung in there with Zena and did not give up on her.

I this serves Xavier is my favorite husband he was afraid to try another relationship Zena was worth the effort and he didn't waste much time showing her and was willing to wait for Zena to realize they were were made for each other. My most favorites were April and Jayla.

Awww her Black knight in shiny armor. I adored Zena and Xavier's story! It was short and sweet with low drama, a beautiful love story, just enough spice and a beautiful ending. Wesleigh Siobhan and Midnite Michael did such a phenomenal job portraying Zena and Xavier.
