Poems I Stole from My Imaginary Friends

Rate this book
When meeting a person, this author being no exception, you might meet them in one aspect of their life - their work-life, their relationship self and the various levels of intimacy, their position in their friend circles - but assuredly every person can be of many minds all tucked up neatly, semi-privately in their carapice. When encountering Jorge Mendez poetically, though, you find a man dissected
stanza and verse,
these six selves
spilled out
Splayed & pinned for display.

Meet Jorge's imaginary friends through these poems.

Fantastic collection of poems! The author explores the world through six different perspectives that he labels his imaginary friends: the boss, the hopeless romantic, the quiet one, the jester, the girl, and the child. The poems range from deep and thoughtful to silly and imaginative! Loved it!
