I love Charles Dickens. He is my favorite author. While this book exemplifies his skill at serial storytelling and character creation, it meanders in the middle and has trouble keeping the reader riveted through the journey to the end. There are some great characters in here and, as always with Dickens, an uncanny blend of plot, character description and philosophy in every chapter.
