Guess who wandered into the wrong bar on the wrong night? Her. Little Miss PantsOnFire.
The fiery redhead who comes charging at me soaking wet from head-to-toe and mad enough to spit nails? Sexy. Smart. And stacked with the kind of curves that make a man's knees go weak and his mouth water.
Problem is, I'm not the guy she thinks I am. Turns out, that's a good thing. Cause the guy she's after is a total snake. So let me put my intentions out I'm gonna keep her safe, keep her warm, and flat-out keep her. We're caught up in a storm neither of us expected. Because she may have the wrong guy, but I definitely have the right girl.
A curvy girl, mistaken identity, best friend's older brother, two-hour romance short read.
I loved this book! Mac and Samantha were strong and dominant characters who meet by chance and who find they need each other. Terrific writing, could not put the book down. Woke up too early and found I was reading it again while in bed.
"His kiss is electric, and I am the lightning rod that absorbs every delicious volt."
"I want a man who will fight for me. Protect me. Shatter me and then put the pieces back together again."
"Like he's got some internal justice meter."
Looking forward to reading the next 2 books in this series! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This was a very short, quick read but man was there a lot packed into it! There was action, romance, and of course a HEA. I like that instead of being two strangers, we find out they actually have met before and have someone in common, this makes what happens next easier to understand since there is a bit of a foundation to build on. If I said much about the story I would be giving away the plot since it is short, but it's definitely worth the read!
I received an arc and I'm leaving a voluntary review.
A delightful quirky novella of 2 people who meet in a dive bar, by mistake. Sam, a curvy sexy red headed vixen is on a mission to let contractor, Jack, who was supposed to finish the nursery for her cousin, know what she thinks of him and to threaten him to go complete the job, when she meets Mac, not Jack, and lets him have a mouth full about not completing the job as promised. Mac has no idea what Sam is on about because Mac is an undercover cop, on a stakeout, but he takes one look at Sam and decides she is the girl for him. Being undercover brings its own dangers, and when they are shot at whilst at the pub, he thinks his sting has gone wrong. The twists in this short story have you turning the pages. The heat between the two, even though they both have different ideas about their future is undeniable. When Sam's life is threatened, Mac cannot do enough to get to her to keep her safe. You will fall in love with our hero, and enjoy the HEA. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily
Sam is a victim advocate who’s trying to protect a we woman from a vicious mob boss. The brother of one of Sam’s dearest friends, Mac is an undercover cop who’s trying to rack up evidence against the same criminal.
When Sam storms into the bar where Mac is waiting for an informant, sparks and bullets fly as their agendas collide.
Fleeing from the chaotic scene, Sam and Mac end up at her apartment and their mutual attraction turns physical.
When Sam becomes a target, can Mac keep his heart guarded while keeping her safe? Can the fiercely independent Sam make room in her life for a hunk with a dangerous job?
This was a super short, steamy romp with some action/danger involved.
I received an advance reader copy from the author and booksirens and I’m sharing my honest review.
I received a digital ARC of this book. This is the 2nd book in this series. The main characters of this novella are side characters in the first novella. Samantha is a lawyer who doesn’t date cops. Mac is a cop who doesn’t date lawyers. Until a case of mistaken identity throws them into a life or death situation and they pretend to be a couple to hide from the bad guys. My only complaint is that this novella isn’t a full length novel! I read this in under an hour, but it was a fun little escape!
It’s Mac's turn – cop and attorney! This is about Alli’s brother Mac and her best friend, Samantha. In The Guy Code, Mac was adamant that he would not date attorneys but could make an exception. They meet up again after Sam is going to give a piece of her mind to a scumbag that is trying to extortion her cousin from a job they already paid for. Well, things turned out differently when she realized that the person she was yelling at was not the one she was there to meet. Now they are fleeing as someone wants to kill Mac. The story is excellent, and I can’t wait to see who is next!
The writing was great and the characters were perfect. Samantha and Mac's chemistry was off the charts. Once I started reading, I was totally hooked and had to finish it in one go. Even though the book is short, it has everything you want in a good story: romance, laughter, suspense, intense chemistry and a wonderful HEA.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I’m gonna say this now, this book left me wanting more. I’m so happy we’re getting Alli’s (from Book 1) brothers now, but, ugh, I wanted this to be longer! It was a great story, such a cute meet cute, such great chemistry.
Bee has a great way of making sure you know the characters and love them and want more of them in 60-100 pages.

'The Wrong Guy' was entertaining. The page-turning plot was filled with hilarity, dramatic irony, action, and love. Mac and Samantha, the protagonists, were amusing and ideally suited for each other. The short story was funny, and I enjoyed reading it. I received a copy for free and am voluntarily giving my honest review.
A case of mistaken identity, thugs, and a scorching night bring Mac and Sam together in a serendipity way. He's trying to catch the bad guys in a seedy bar and she's trying to catch a crooked contractor. It was an easy read and absolutely cute. I was given a free copy of this book from BookSirens and I'm voluntarily leaving an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This was a fun book about mistaken identity. Mac and Samantha are quite interesting together and Mac has his hands full. I enjoyed this book and it was fun to read. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
