REMARKABLE. Here we have a man who, first, has persevered through
many years surviving a disease that has NOT defined him but instead
has enabled him to inspire others. Secondly, we have a man who did not
think he had the ability — or the reason — to write a book such as this.
Well, guess what?
Rick has done it. He has written a book that both captures his story and
will captivate you as you read it. This will be a book that will be shared
and will be, I believe, the "go to" standard for anyone touched by, or
engaged in, the disease that Rick, remarkably, calls his friend. This book
will live on and bless and encourage others for years beyond any of us
reading these words now.
