He's the off limits man they never thought they'd need. They're his biggest temptation, but he'll have to risk everything to have them. Faith

Sure, the aggravating snowboard bum is insanely sexy, but we're here for business, nothing more. Even when my husband keeps flirting with the man. Even when we're stuck overnight in a cabin together, sharing a bed. Soon I find myself pinned between my husband and our gorgeous business rival, and I learn that even a perfect life can be improved upon. Jeremy
Tristan and Faith are in Tahoe to take my family's resort, and I'm going to protect it in any way I can. But the pull I feel towards them is undeniable, and the chemistry between the three of us explosive. I can't possibly be falling for a married couple, especially not when they are most definitely the enemy. They're out to turn my family's legacy into another corporate acquisition. So why can't I stop myself from falling deeper and deeper into desire each time I see them? Tristan
When Jeremy awakens a long-buried desire, I know I must ignore him. Nothing is worth risking my marriage to Faith. But when I find out she wants the same thing, all bets are off, and soon, a sexy fling becomes something deeper than I ever imagined, leaving only one question -- do we risk our comfortable lives for a chance to have him in our bed forever? Warning: This is a spicy MMF story featuring a sexy snowboard instructor, a bisexual British billionaire, and an high strung businesswoman who needs some extra help from her men to relax. There are MM, M/F and MMF scenes.

I was so confused why Chapter 22 was missing in my ARC copy, and then I discovered it at the end of the book.

Tristan and Faith are happily married. They have a high-powered career working at Tristan's family business scouting resort locations. They want to buy a resort in Tahoe but end up falling for the owner instead.

This is a threesome story with MM, MF, and MFM scenes. There was a good balance of story and sex, but once or twice, the sex was too much for me (idk, there wasn't enough romance or feelings to balance it). I paused in the middle of this book to read another book, which ironically was also MFM.

Also, when I discovered Chapter 22 missing, which was an important chapter, I thought about DNFing because I felt lost. But I powered through.

Also, the epilogue where the three had twins, one fathered by Tristan, and one fathered by Jeremy doesn't make sense to me. I'm trying to figure out how that is possible logistically...

I thought it was cool that this story was written round-robbin by three different authors. The story flowed seamlessly.

Well, the title does explain things quite well, there was a kink in the deal they were trying to make. Or maybe a few kinks.

After being sent to relax, Faith decides this resort is perfect to expand the family business and wants to buy it. So Faith and her husband Tristian try to buy it. Only to have Jeremy, the owner, turn them down. But what about a different proposal to work together and invest rather than own?

It sounds good and while learning more, some things seemed hidden under the surface. And what starts as just some fun for Faith with Tristian watching turns into fun for everyone. But what happens when Faith works ahead and doesn’t tell everyone what she’s doing? Or the traditional side of the family finds out about their relationship?

Tristian, Faith, and Jeremy get their happy ending in this stand-alone book.

I loved how well Tristian and Faith communicated and were able to talk through what they wanted. I do wonder if after all their time together if Jeremy learned that too. Not that it was a bad thing, but most of the book was spent with some form of the couple in bed together. And while hot, it also felt repetitive after a while. There was also just something that didn’t click with m about the book and I often wondered if this was a first book for all the authors, even though it isn’t.

2/3 passion and steam; 1/3 enticing story
Will a couple who are very comfortable in their sexual desires invite one more? Faith Vaughn is married to Tristan Vaughn, part owner of Vaughn Resort Group. At present his mother runs the Group but he and his high-energy wife, Faith spend a lot of time looking for properties to scoop up and improve. Their endeavors have made them quite wealthy. As Faith is having a hard time settling down, Tristan gives her a spa week in Lake Tahoe on her own. There she meets Jeremy who is a single father to a pistol almost-twelve-year-old named Lucy. Faith is intrigued and when she finds out they are having financial difficulties, more the better. That is just what Tristan and she love to handle. But Jeremy wants to keep his family-owned ski resort in said family.
Whoa! Jeremy awakens something in both Faith and Tristan. See how that plays out for the three of them, for Lucy, for the Resort and for Tristan’s company. If you like lots of steam with your romance, you will want to read this book. I volunteered to review an ARC of it through BookSirens.

I don’t usually read enemies-to-lovers or sword-crossed MMF, but I’ve read books by each of these authors individually and enjoyed them, so I thought reading a collab by all three would be fun. I wasn’t wrong—this is a fun spicy read!

One of the things I really liked was how seamlessly the three authors blended their writing into the story. The characters were distinct, yet they felt like they could have been written by the same author. Very cool!

The overall story was good, and the spice well written, but I found the sheer amount of sexy times to be a bit much. The spice to story ratio was more in line with an erotic short, and I felt it was just over the top for a full length novel. YMMV.

I will definitely continue to enjoy these authors individually and would be interested in future collaborations.

Exactly as to the title states! Though that should be extended to read Shed Loads of Kink in the Deal!! So if you're looking for a super hot read you have found it!

Meet Tristan and Faith as they get more than they bargain for when their business interests lead them to Jeremy Huan's Emerald Bay mountain resort.

This is an extremely well written story that has a mild play on the enemies to lovers theme and more emphasis on the three being lovers. The setting (mostly set in Jeremy's mountain resort) rings true, as does the ménage relationship. All the characters are completely developed individuals and are very likeable. In short, this is excellent writing! All in all this is a great piece of escapism. Enjoy!.

Tristan, Faith & Jeremy

The first section of the book building up to any interaction is much more focused on the plot & characters. After then it picks up pace and the practicalities of trying to establish a poly relationship with an existing married couple & a single dad are full of misunderstandings. The times spent together needed more scenes around the plot & emotions. I would have preferred Lucy to be older than 11, she seemed older & was left alone too much. There were a few preparation steps ( hygiene, contraception etc) not mentioned in early scenes but featured later which seemed odd, either all off page or certainly needed to be in the early scenes if mentioned.
I like the multi author writing, each has a different voice that suited their character and it meant you never quite knew what would happen next.

Spicy ... And A Lot More!!!

Married couple, Tristan and Faith, work with his family running spa resorts. Jeremy owns a ski resort near Lake Tahoe, on the border of California and Nevada; he's also raising his preteen daughter, Lucy.

Faith visits Jeremy's property, eventually trying to convince him to sell to their conglomerate. It doesn't work and from there we're off on a wild trip to love and found family. A tale told with warmth and humor - some almost side-splittingly hilarious!

This journey to love and happiness warrants 5+ delighted stars for an MMF rom-com with a little angst and a world full of adoration!

It's for fans of romance in all its permutations and possibilities. Thanks to Kristin Lance, April Cross and Alec Lake for the best MMF novel I've read in a long time!

A Kink in the Deal is an MMF romance about a married couple/coworkers Tristan and Faith who attempt to acquire a family-owned ski lodge run by Jeremy. Jeremy doesn't want to sell the ski resort and he and Faith don't see eye to eye at first. Despite this, all parties quickly become attracted to each other and thus, the trio embarks on a fun, spicy journey.

This book has three authors, each writing the PoV of a single MC. According to the authors' notes, this story was crafted one chapter at a time, with each author creating the next part of the storyline by feeding off of the previous chapter. This style intrigued me and I found that by creating a story this way, each character was written with nuanced differences in how they spoke, thought, and felt. I would love to read more books with this style - it was a lot of fun!

Getting to the story itself, the first half of the book was exactly what I expected and wanted it to be. There's an element of the good ole' enemies to lovers trope sprinkled with sexual self-discovery and the occasional light BDSM fun. The characters are likable and the story speeds along. After the 60% mark, however, this freight train jumped the tracks.

Let me just say this… Chapter 22 is the crux of the entire story AND IT WAS NOT THERE! Literally, the story jumped from Chapter 21 to Chapter 23 and I was SO SO LOST about what was happening. It was instantly clear to me that I had missed something very important and without having that information, I had no clue how the characters got to where they were! However, being the DNF denier I am, I continued on. I heavily considered that I received this story as an ARC and that maybe, there was a typo in my copy. Honestly, I should have realized this as an omen of what was to come.

Following the debacle of the missing chapter, I started noticing a drastic increase in inconsistencies, questionable/problematic themes, etc. in the story. I would even go so far as to say that the second half of the book comes across as the author(s) responsible felt rushed, overwhelmed, or maybe even bored with the process and just wanted it over.

My first concern was the character of Lucy (Jeremy's daughter). She was barely mentioned in the first part of the book. She was present when Jeremy met Tristan for the first time and was introduced as being 12 years old. That was pretty much it. However, in the second half of the book, the character's presence skyrockets. She is now described as an 11-year-old instead of 12 (not a huge deal, but still inconsistent).

This becomes a problem for me when there are MULTIPLE times Lucy is with Jeremy when he meets up with T & F and he leaves her by herself to have throuple time. And we're not talking 15-minute romps here - one sesh is followed by sleep (presumably for hours), etc. before Jeremy realizes he should find his kid. I'm sorry, what?? Another time, he leaves her in the lobby of a building playing Nintendo so he can go into an office to rail his girlfriend. As a mother, this seems extremely cringy to me - even as a smutty smutty smut smut mom.

As the book continues, Lucy gets even more involved and starts to be written as if she's much older than 11 (or 12). She becomes a "love manager" between her dad and his significant others. Who's taking love advice from a 6th grader?? If she were 16 instead of a tween, these issues might be less concerning to me. But to be honest, I found Lucy's character to be completely unnecessary overall and I would have enjoyed this story more thoroughly without her in it.

Lastly, I will not post spoilers here perse, but if anyone has read "Give Me More" by Sara Cate (Book 3 of the Salacious Players' Club and fellow MMF story), the ending relationship/family dynamic is EXTREMELY similar to this story's end. Because I had previously read and fallen in love with SPC, I was disappointed to see a very similar take on the end here.

NOTE: Chapter 22 was eventually found!! It was inserted AFTER THE EPILOGUE. I am so sad about this - I feel like I would have loved this book SO MUCH MORE if I had been able to read this chapter in its proper place. So sad. :( I sincerely hope this gets fixed before it is released.

There was definitely a kink in this deal! 😉

A kink in this deal is a story about a power couple, the Vaughns, and their business rival, Jeremy Kuan. It is written by THREE authors! April Cross, Kristin Lance, and Alec Lake. Faith takes a well-needed vacation at Lake Tahoe and meets the sexy manager of Emerald Bay Resorts, Jeremy. After an enraging encounter, she starts to think of ways to get her hands on his resort and buy it from him. Jeremy is adamant about selling his family’s business and refuses to even talk to her. Tristan comes to surprise Faith and meets Jeremy which sparked an interest in him. An avalanche forced them to spend the night together. A bottle of champagne, a lit fireplace, a snowstorm, and lust permeating the air lead to a night the three of them won’t forget.

I have to be honest, when I first started this story, I did not like it. I don’t know why I felt like it was plain. The encounters between Faith and Jeremy didn’t have too much spark. I guess I wanted them to fight more and for her to be sassy enough to drive him crazy. But, I gave it another chance and fell in LOVE with it! The book was, of course, filled with spice and smut! I enjoyed reading every single letter and the scenes between Jeremy and Tristan were extremely hot! I loved how they managed to overcome their fears, especially Jeremy, who was hurt the most when his wife left him with their child, Lucy. Lucy’s character was extremely funny and how she pushed Jeremy to confess that he was an idiot made me laugh out loud.

The plot was well-written and the character’s development didn’t happen overnight. We were able to see how they battled with their emotions and came out victorious! The scene I loved the most was when Tristan confronted the company’s board about their “scandalous” affair and how he fought for their love.

I am so glad that BookSirens sent this ARC to me!

Faith Vaughn needed to relax a bit and not think about work so much. Her husband, Tristan, set her up for a spa getaway, in Tahoe, to help aide her in relaxing. Unfortunately, it doesn’t quite go as planned, but Faith did manage to find something else to grab her attention. Jeremy, owner of Emerald Bay Resort, needs to make a few changes to continue to bring in profits. His advisor suggested talking to the Vaughn Group. When Faith meets Jeremy, it wasn’t a good first impression, but over time the ice starts melting. This story was so hot and cute at the same time, I would definitely recommend this to anyone. HEA guaranteed, hot poly relationship. I love a good MFM trope.

I have always wondered how more than one author could write a cohesive story although I have read and enjoyed many. This book was made intriguing by the round robin collaboration, although I must admit, I didn't quite get the different nuances as compared to other books written by one author. This could be because these authors just work so well together.
There were some parts that I found was more fluff and an adult entertainment feel to it, yet at other times could enjoy the storyline and relationships.
Tristan and Faith had a very demanding job reporting to "set in their ways" boardroom directors so when they met Jeremy, they had an uphill battle on their hands.

This story premise had me curious on how an established couple would would add another person to their relationship. I was amazed at how organic and natural their relationship felt as it developed. Jeremy and Faith do not start out on the right foot, but once Tristan is in the mix it gets hot.

Things are not all easy, and they have to work to make what they want more than just a magical weekend.

The hot times were scorching. I loved the multiple perspectives, allowing all three main characters the opportunity to voice their feelings and concerns.

Would definitely read more by this group of authors.

I really enjoyed this book! MMF is one of my favorite kind of romance, you really get the best of both worlds. Though everything felt a little too easy and unrealistic, i was really into the story and how the relationship between Jeremy, Faith and Tristan sprung to life. My favorite thing was Tristan's devotion for his two lovers and how he wouldn't let anything get into their way. Overall it was a very entertaining romance. A small complain : Faith was really horny all the freaking time and reading how her pussy clenches every two pages got really annoying at some point :')

Faith and Tristan are a power couple who are extremely successful and passionate. They have a kinky sex life and she uses this to deal with her anxiety and stress from their heavy workload. Jeremy owns a business that they want to buy. Faith meets him and it does not go well.

The authors have written a hotter than blazes story about a couple meeting their third. The deliciously decadent scenes are beautifully written with explicit dialogue and finely crafted imagery. So dang HOT!! The addition of Lucy- Jeremy’s preteen daughter- adds some laughs and sweetness. Loved the HEA!.

This book is full of pure, steamy, well-written, and thoroughly enjoyable decadence. The writing style is delightfully provocative, imaginative, and descriptive. Besides spice, there is also a development of group dynamics. I loved the way Tristan and Faith, a couple who have a healthy marriage, integrate Jeremy (and his daughter Lily) into their relationship. It is a short novella, yet it packs a LOT of erotica and sensual scenes. Steamy, descriptive, smoothly flowing writing style, gives a lot of good ideas :) A must-read, I would recommend this book to all who enjoy well-written erotic books.

If your looking for a book of mostly sex, then this is your book . I like more of a good story and this is not really what I was looking for.
Faith and Tristan have a great and steamy marriage, but then they meet Jeremy, an owner of a resort in Tahoe that Faith and Tristan are hoping to acquire. Jeremy is a single dad to an 11-year-old daughter Lucy. Faith, Tristan and Jeremy have a quick chemistry together. I did love Jeremy and Lucy‘s relationship.

2.5 stars

thank you booksirens for sending me an advanced reader copy of a kink in the deal by april cross, kristin lance, and alec lake in exchange for an honest review.

let’s be honest. i didn’t pick up the book for the plot. none of us did.

however, i’m still going to complain about the lack of plot. there was barely any fluffy, cute romance scenes. most of it was just them going at it like rabbits. go them, i guess. i think that it would have strengthened their relationship if there were more relationship building scenes, ones that showed that they had chemistry together that wasn’t just sexual. i find it a little unrealistic for them to just jump into a relationship that fast and be willing to risk everything for it, especially when there wasn’t that much bonding time between them fucking or working.

i’m giving the book 2.5 stars solely for the smut, but everything else that i normally like in a book was lacking.

I was really looking forward to this book; both the plot and the method* sounded intriguing. Unfortunately, the execution was lacking.

The writing was... plodding. The characters kept talking about strong emotions, but I felt absolutely nothing. Faith felt like a child; no wonder her in-laws didn't respect her.

I probably could have read to the end, but life's too short. Sorry.

*Each of the main (Faith, Jeremy, Tristan) characters was written by a different author. At least, that's the claim.

There is such a thing as too much!

I think the book could of been better by having more time spent on the characters story than on sex. I felt the book was more about lust than anything else. A book filled with 90% sex is to much. I didn't like how they left an 11 year old girl alone in the lobby at the office to have sex. And they left her alone in an unfamiliar house to fend for herself while they locked themselves in the bedroom. Many times I was disappointed in their behavior because all they cared about was getting off.

This book took me a while to get through as I had trouble believing in the characters. Faith didn't like Jeremy and wanted nothing to do with him but then she was falling for him and wanting to do naughty things with him? Doesn't seem real to me.

The book didn't feel totally cohesive, I got confused about where the characters were and why a few times.

Without giving out spoilers, I did enjoy how the book ended and how some of the elements were handled.

I was curious to read a book with three different authors writing three different POVs. I was worried that the continuity of the book would be affected but alas, it was not. I greatly enjoyed this book, from the characters to their overall relationship dynamics and their one-on-one interactions. Funny, and steamy is my favourite combo and this book had both. I will say that miscommunication is the trope I loathe the most but even with that I loved this book. A definite add-to-TBR.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. A vacation to unwind leads Faith to meeting Jeremy. Faith brings in her husband Tristan in a bid to buy Jeremy's resort. However business is blurred when the attraction between the three turns to love. It is steamy and really good when Tristan fights for his new relationship. It might be an unusual relationship but it is loving. I really liked how everyone interacted.

Faith and Tristan are happily married. When they meet Jeremy, wanting to buy his family resort some long hidden desires come up. Somehow ending up together in a cabin the menage relationships starts.
I enjoyed the menage story and how it developed, also it is really fictional and sometimes very detailed. It has a great mix between heat and romance.

I have read a few a MMF books and they usually end up being of no substance in plot or characters but I am pretty impressed by this one. The cover looks misleading. Each character has a personality and they actually have a loving functioning relationship on top of their spicy interactions. Highly recommended to those interested MFM romanc3s.

Faith and Tristian work and play well in their marriage, but when they are both attracted to the sexy, funny, and socially awkward ski resort owner Jeremy, navigating the deal, their feelings get them into a bind. So much heat here I was sure my Kindle would ignite in my hands. I love the cabin and the gondola scene. Jeremy's daughter is the perfect comic relief.

Here's the deal. I could do without Lucy honestly and the family stuff, although the epilogue is surprisingly sweet. I respect the attempt at non-sex/relationship conflict, but let's be honest, if you're reading this book, it ain't for the plot. But there are for sure some hot scenes in this book, which is what the people (I'm assuming) are really there for.

I loved this book. It was a fun, very steamy romance! I loved all three characters. Tristan and Faith had such a strong and healthy relationship, and adding in Jeremy only made it better. I loved the dynamic between the three of them and how it felt equal and balanced. There were some bumps in the road, but I was so happy for their happy ending. This is the first book I've read by these authors and I look forward to reading more! 5 stars

I went in with close to zero expectations to be truthful! I was pleasantly surprised though!! The book was amazing! Their first meeting, the build up, the sex scenes(seriously be prepared!!!), the love that blossomed! All three of them were amazing....
Like I said I wasn't expecting it! I highly recommend it! I believe you will love it if you are into that kind of stuff obviously!
