Rate this book
ROPE contains five stories about men struggling with their demons or struggling with people who have given in to their demons. In "Some Rope," a homeless man tries to hold on to all he has for companionship. "Getting Rid of the Cats" presents us with a man who doesn't know what to do about the growing horde of felines his ex-girlfriend left behind. In "The Last Bottle," a man attempts to recall what he did one drunken, violent night. The narrator of "The Guardian" makes a confession regarding responsibility dropped in his lap. "Partito for Continuo" is a kind of love letter from a man to his institutionalized wife.
