Tradesmen look at buildings differently, depending on their The carpenter casts an eye on the woodwork, the bricklayer on the brickwork and the painter on the walls and ceilings. Similarly, the greater a person's perception of Allāh’s names, the greater their alertness and understanding of life. Nothing passes them by, without thought and contemplation.
When they see a display of mercy, they automatically and very naturally reflect on the names of Allah; Al-Rahīm” (The Most Merciful), Al-Ra’ūf (The Pitying), Al-Wadūd (The Affectionate). When they sense might and awe, they are overcome with the names “Al-Jabbār” (The Compeller), “Al-Muntaqim” (The Avenger) and “Al-Qahhār” (The Subduer). Eventually, they reach a station where every scene that unfolds, any sin which presents itself or any opportunity that drifts by, becomes a trigger for perusal and the remembrance of Allāh, the achievement of which is precisely the objective of this book.

A Life with the Divine by Ali Hammuda is an instant all-time favorite of mine.

Reading this love letter to Allah feels as though it was written for me. More than once, the reflections and explorations within brought me to tears. I found myself written within the pages, reminded, reprimanded, given hope and a hand of support.

Sheikh Ali has always been a phenomenal orator. If you’re familiar with Ali’s talks, you’ll recognize the same sincerity and clarity here. Ali has an ability to simplify delivery of complex concepts, speak directly to the heart of matters and lucidly address reality head on.

Ali’s written style is just as powerful and effective. The writing is incredibly clear, relatable, honest and heartfelt. This comes at no cost to the depth of the messages or the concepts explored. Examples given illustrate the discourse with clarity and precision.

This book feels like someone who genuinely loves you, cares about you, and loves Allah is sitting with you, advising you, helping you realign your purpose and figure things out.

The book gently compels you to look inward, to assess your relationship with Allah, and to hold yourself accountable. That kind of honesty isn’t easy, but the book does this through discovery of the names of Allah, making the experience overwhelmingly beautiful, sweetening the pain.

To know Allah is to unlock true joy, serenity, comfort, awe and inner peace. A Life with the Divine is a guided tour getting to know The Creator of the Heavens and the Earth. The more you know Him the more you can only love Him, revere Him, and humbly submit to Him.

I can’t recommend this book enough. I sincerely hope this becomes the first of a series that explores all of the Beautiful Names of Allah.

I ask Allah to reward Sheikh Ali for this incredible contribution to the Ummah. May Allah accept it from him, put barakah in it and make it a means of healing and guidance for us all.

A nice summary of 25 of Allahs beautiful names. I did like the descriptions and names chosen and hadiths and Quranic references regarding each. Some of them seemed to go into a tangent which took away from the meaning imo but that’s just me. I like it when it’s just focused on the main concept.

Spare a minute..
"Assalamualaikum,

I love writing and have been doing it for a long time, but when I started writing Islamic reflections, I realized some tadabbur just can't fit in 400 words.

So I wrote a book with a journey through those deeper reflections -

If you're on Kindle Unlimited (free read!) and wouldn't mind giving it a read, I'd be so grateful for your honest thoughts insha'Allah.
Book name : Walking with Pearls by Fariha Guncha.
