Knight Alexander is still mine. He just doesn’t know it yet. He might have gotten away from The Falls and started over, but I haven’t forgotten what he did… or forgiven him. He thinks he can run from the truth, but he can’t hide forever.
Once upon a time, he swore to protect my heart. Now, who’s going to protect him from me? If he thinks he’s seen the worst of me, he’s dead wrong. After all, everyone knows break-ups don't often go smoothly.
I just wanna know how you have the unmitigated audacity to turn into a certified lunatic when you cheated first?!!! Not only did you cheat but, you cheated with his brother, got pregnant, and had an abortion. Now, you big mad because Knight gave your triflin’ behind his azz to kiss?!!! Then you doubled down and had the nerve to travel to a whole nutha state to stalk the man! Chiiiiiiiile, if that ain’t some Karen level audacity, I don’t know what is. The more Knight ignored and rejected her, the more and more Corrine spiraled out of control. Now, I knew some shyt was gon’ pop off when Knight pulled up to Corrine’s apartment. I just didn’t expect it to get that wild. Talk about a cataclysmic ending. Rohypnol, rape, and murder with a heavy dose of small town scandal. Honey, shyt got real expeditiously. And, then they went through all that trouble just for Corrine to have the last laugh. I know she was lookin’ up at them and cacklin’ her azz off. Yeah I said lookin’ up because, lets be clear, Corrine didn’t make it to the upper room. I don’t know that I was rooting for anyone by the end of this book. Honestly, all of these characters were trash. Every single one of them f*cked each other over. Jackson slept with his brother’s girlfriend and his girlfriend’s stepsister, Knight slept with his brother's girlfriend, Corrine slept with her boyfriend’s brother, and Quinn slept with her boyfriend’s brother. So, no one has room to feel betrayed. I’m just glad Triggered gave us the conclusion we needed so, we can finally close the door on these triflin’ azz characters. But, please know, I’ma be the first one to hit one-click if the author decides to give us an update. 😉
KL Hall Bra-fkn-vo!!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 You got the juice sis!! This series was the unexpected entertainment I didn’t know I needed this weekend!!
It’s seems like everyone has moved on with their lives and are ready to put the past behind them! Knight and Quinn have relocated and Jackson and Bree have also moved on and gone their separate ways! I guess Corrine’s unhinged ass didn’t get the memo because sis is ready to turn everybody’s world upside down all in the name of love and getting her man back!
Knight, Quinn and Jackson didn’t have a single brain between the three of them in this book because the foolish mistakes they made throughout this book was disappointing to say the least! I wanted to choke them all at different stages in this book! Like how are y’all allowing this delulu ass woman to outsmart y’all like this?!?!!!
In a the end everyone got what they deserved. And speaking of ending!!!! I did not see that coming at all!! Talk about the ultimate get back!!! Woooowwwwww!!! I enjoyed all three books and can’t wait to dive further into KL’s catalog!! Read 👏🏽the 👏🏽series!!!
ikyfl … 😳😫 Now this book hell ….whole series was a lotttttt…..… 😭😭😩🫣🫣 straight out of a lifetime movie frl frl or hell a good budget Tubi movie shidddd whichever 🍿 🎥🎬🙌🏾😂😂 it was that good to me lol 😂
That damn Corrine was a mf looney bin smdh and Jackson I wanted to feel sorry for him at the end! I really did but sometimes you gotta learn the hard way unfortunately 😔😔😔, if he didn’t before I know he learned his lesson fasho now lol 😂 🤔 smh 🤦🏾♀️ Like damnnn I was not expecting it to end like that though!
Yeah yall were right lol ❤️❤️😭😭😮 This was my first time reading from K.L Hall and it will not be my last! 😊 Def recommend, She did that 🙌🏾🙌🏾❤️❤️😂😂 with this series
My jaw dropped at the end of this 😭 what a mess! Corrine was absolutely nuts (what she did to Knight at her apartment was assault & she deserved what she got). These short stories were packed full of twists, lies, drama- anything you can imagine. It was quite entertaining though.
If you pick up this series looking for Christmas cheer….you’re in the wrong lane 😂
Corrine, who to me was really a non MF factor is completely unhinged and on a warpath for what she thinks she is owed. I mean the heaux is off the rails crazy. Despite the fact that she ruined her relationship in the worst way she swears Knight still belongs to her. She is literally stalking him and isn't above using anything she can to force him back into her life.
Knight, Quinn, and Jackson are the slowest of the slow. You mean between the three of them they couldn't come up with a plan to take this delusional azz heaux down?? Clearly not because they allowed her to pull the strings on their back like she was the damn puppet master smh.
I didn't call that ending at all 😳 I also appreciated that we got to read the article that had the town in an uproar. Corrine seemed to have blamed Jackson for her breakup with Knight when she was a willing participant....none the less she set out to ruin his life I guess like hers was ruined.
P.S. I side eyed heavy at the 18 carat ring gtfoh on a Paralegal salary. 😒
This book was just as crazy as the last two. Corrine was one crazy delusional bish and the three (Jackson, Knight, and Quinn) didn’t have not one MF clue on how to truly handle her. That girl was kicking up so much dust and causing so much ruckus but the two most deserving won in the end. This was definitely a roller coaster ride with multiple twists and turns. I didn’t even see the end coming.
Whew! I have been waiting to see how this story would end, and ma'am you did that ish! That heifer Corrine was certified crazy for real, for real! 🤯 I knew she didn't take that L well, but damn you was doin' too much honey! The more that Knight rejected her, the more that crazy meter turnt up! When Quinn and Knight came back to the Falls, my heart began to race as I had no idea what that fool was up to! I am shook at what went down! It was like Christmas all over again, but with more dire consequences! That ending tho! I hollered out loud! 😂 Karma ain't nothing to play with, and she came for the kill! Is it crazy that I don't want this wild ride to end? Loved it! Bravo! 👍👍👍
What’s worse: looking jealous or crazy? Corinne Edwards is so loyal to Knight Alexander that even him breaking up with her, blocking her number, and moving to a different state after a nearly fatal encounter between them couldn’t keep her away from him.
Now this was the real ending to the Potomac Falls holiday trilogy. Corinne was straight up loony and UNrightfully so! Imagine being upset your ex moved on after you cheated. And I wasn’t prepared for the extent of Jackson’s fboy behavior to be that deep. 😳 I thought I knew where the story was headed until I read that wild ending. Both Corinne and Jackson got their karma served ice cold, but ultimately Corinne did get the last laugh.
Things in Potomac Falls are crazy. Infidelity led to so much more and even a death. Secret babies, break ups, arrests and murder plots. I was engaged the whole way through. So much action you can’t help but being intrigued. In all we still end with a cliff hanger. Hope there will be more 🥴🥴🥴
What a suspenseful, delusional, unhinged read. This was a perfect way to end the series. Corey was delusional thinking Knight was still her man after you slept with his brother and aborted his baby. I was actually not mad for Knight and Quinn getting their HEA and how Knight got his lick back from Jackson. Poor Jackson though maybe he’ll learn to keep his thing to himself instead of giving it up to everyone.
If get your lick back was a book, this series would be it. If you have been on this journey since book 1, this book(book 3) will not disappoint. Knight dropped the 🎤 and walked off the stage. lol. Jackson deserved everything he got.
The ending of this book was absolutely insane!!! I did not expect for things to turn out the way they did but whew karma is definitely real!!!! This was a great ending to this crazy story!!
Listen… some people talk things out, and some people let their unresolved issues simmer until they are basically a walking fire hazard. Triggered gives us the second kind, and honestly, it is delicious.
K.L. Hall drops us right into the middle of two people who have absolutely not healed, grown, or moved on the way they claim they have. Knight Alexander has been trying to escape what happened, but the universe said “lol, no” and sent the past right to his doorstep. And she did not come to chat. She came with energy.
Their dynamic is messy, charged, and full of that “we really should not be in the same room but here we are” tension that keeps you flipping pages like you are watching a reunion episode of your favorite toxic reality show. Except it is fiction… allegedly.
Hall keeps the pacing tight, the emotions high, and the drama just unhinged enough to be fun without ever losing the heart underneath. It is quick, chaotic, and exactly the kind of novella you inhale in one sitting and then sit back like, “Whew. They need therapy, but I needed that.”
If you love emotional chaos, unresolved feelings, and characters who communicate exclusively through tension and questionable decisions, Triggered will absolutely scratch that itch.
Book 3 was a great finale to this enjoyable miniseries from K.L. Hall. 📚
“Chapter 8: What’s worse, looking jealous or crazy?” had my mouth wide open. 😱
They say that “delulu is the solulu”, but Corinne was straight-up unhinged. Her desire to get back right with Knight sent her over the cliff edge. Literally. With Jhené Aiko’s 2020 “Triggered” playing in the background:
“Go figure. You were the trigger. You brought me to an obstructed view. When you knew the picture was bigger…” 💔
Despite being just as messy as the rest of them, Quinn and Knight got their HEA.
And Jackson? Who would’ve thought I’d feel sorry for him? He should’ve called it and moved to LA with Bree’s OnlyFans-ambitious arse. 🍑✈️
Judge and jury showed up. With Knight playing him like a chess piece on a rollercoaster.
Some stories don’t just entertain — they press on old bruises, stir up buried memories, and make you sit with the pieces you thought you’d left behind. Triggered does exactly that, pulling me straight into the messy, tender, explosive space where love and hurt collide.
As the finale to J.L. Hall’s bizarre, chaotic, and wildly addictive Potomac Falls holiday series, this book brings closure in every form imaginable. Sometimes it arrives softly. Sometimes it comes knocking with a vengeance. And sometimes… it shows up wearing the face of a past you were sure you’d outrun.
This final installment is fast‑paced, emotionally charged, and full of characters who feel one heartbeat away from either healing or detonating. It’s a gripping, cathartic end to a series that has never been afraid to get a little wild — or a lot honest.
Title: Triggered: A Potomac Falls Novella Author: K.L. Hall Publisher: K.L. Hall Productions Series: A Potomac Falls Holiday Shorts Book 3 Reviewed By: Arlena Dean Rating: Four Review: "Triggered: A Potomac Falls Novella" by K. L. Hall
My Sentiments:
'Triggered' was quite a read bringing in the mystery, thriller, and suspense of a good short read. What will happen when two brothers and two girlfriends come together where nothing is left from the story but a lot of 'craziness, infidelity, and murder?' By the end of the road, no one is innocent in this super messy plot twist. The ending will leave the reader seeing that karma will get you one way or the other in the end.
The ending, though, took me smooth out. In this finale, we see just how far Corrine is willing to go to get Knight back. This girl was unhinged. She took obsessive to a new level. Her ending was the karma she deserved for trying to blackmail people to get what she wanted. She still wouldn't take accountability for what she did. It really frustrated me. Quinn was a true rider. Even though it is messy to leave one brother and be with the next, she didn't play about Knight. Knight shocked the mess out of me. I was not expecting that plot twist at all. As for Jackson, that's karma for your behind. He was out here doing the most, and it came back to bite him in the behind. I loved all of the shenanigans in this book. Amazing ending to all of the mess from the previous books.
Corinne gets the award for most delusional. Then again when you stay outside of someone's house all night naked, one should only suspect that you are a bit unhinged. Jackson gets the award for messy and just outright trifling. Goodness that man has some communal sex.
Knight and Quinn have each other's backs, but that ending made me chuckle because at the beginning of the series I thought that Quinn was nothing to play with. Yeah well now I know that neither Quinn nor Knight are anything to play with.
Never underestimate a woman scorned. Corrine was determined to get Knight back by any means, but Jackson, Knight, and Quinn didn't expect what Corrine had in store for them. This book will definitely keep you wondering how things will play out amongst these characters. They were all guilty of committing some form of betrayal, but the shocker was Knight getting his revenge on his own brother Jackson. Overall, great ending.
I have no words the ending where knight responded to his bro phone call had me dying laughing..like Jackson totally deserved that. he was just going around sticking his ding dong in any hole it seems. Corrine was def delulu and crazy AF BUT THE CHICK WAS A FREAKING MASTERMIND AND I ADMIRE HER GET BACK...FAILSAFE WAS GENIUS...BUT SHE was def a mess. This was the perfect wrap up to the beautiful mess that was this story...kept me on my toes and i def liked it
Wow that ending was something else 😂😂 whew Corrine was... A lot I mean mama was on one bad. She needed some serious help, what she did to Knight was WAY TOO FAR!! I was honestly glad with her ending. I really enjoyed Knight and Quinn and wish I got more of their relationship!! When it comes to Jackson... I mean you did a lot of dirt my boy so I didn't feel too sorry for him! I enjoyed this series
Loved this Holiday Novella Series 👏🏽👏🏽 I had a time reading this. Baby Corrine was a nutcase! And I like Quinn & Knight, they are cute and I like their ending. Jackson got what he deserved. This was the ultimate Christmas get back! A good messy read like I like. I got this series from BRAE & this is also a new to me author and I can cross another fire find off my list! Cant wait to read more by KL Hall.
What a fun twist. BUT I still have questions. Did Knight plan this all along? What about the gun? Couldn’t Jackson just tell them about the shooting and take the rest of them down too? And if Corey thought of this back up plan for Jackson, why didn’t she think about one for Quinn since she hated her so much.
Just some holes that I think could have been addressed with a few more pages. But it was still a really fun series. Highly recommend.

This series was pure fire—full of desire, chaos, selfishness, and backstabbing. Whew! Lord, I already know I’m about to have a serious book hangover after this one. But baby… when I say bingo, winner winner chicken dinner, because when it was time to stick a fork in him, he was DONE. Finished. Over with.
It’s a great series, a quick read, and so addictive. Just so, so good. Whew. Boom. That’s it—that’s the review. 💥📚
Sometimes a person can do too much to go forward and too much to go back! Jackson was a ladies man in more ways than one! When his latest romp with Corrine effects his brother and his ex-girlfriend things can go haywire! When your past discretions become current news and you can't escape it you are ruined! A great read!
