I saw this on a biker discussion, and it sounded like it might be low on action, which was concerning because I’m impatient, but angsty, so I thought I’d give it a shot. It wasn’t bad, but I wouldn’t call it emotional or angsty. It was sweet at times, but it’s mostly a slow burn with no real drama or conflict for much of the book.

It opens with Butch running into Skylar and her two kids at a coffee shop before his world is rocked when an ex arrives dumping a newborn on him. Skylar helps some, but she’s just visiting, and Butch is overwhelmed with fatherhood and deciding what to do. And that is pretty much all that happens until about 60% of the book.

Bottom Line- The first half was SLOW going with the mc’s separated for a chunk of that and working on their own stuff. It’s a slow burn with no buildup because they go from no relationship to end goals in pages. The last 70% picked up with some crazy OW drama/action. Yum.

As enforcer of his MC, Butch has people going the other way just by a look. He is loving his life, but when an ex shows up with a baby and tells him it's his before running off Butch is stunned. His life is not suited for a child and he is lost. Skylar is a single mom with two kids who witnesses the rapid turn of events. She offers Butch some guidance with how to care for the baby, but feelings get in the way quickly and Butch has to shut it down trying to do the best for his kid. Can he have it all, Skylar, her kids and his or is it just an unfulfilled dream?

Entertaining book. I thought the pacing was terrific and it was a believable story. I liked the fact that Butch openly struggles with what to do and Skylar becomes his anchor. Definitely would read more from this author.

3.5⭐️ Too many tears 🥸🤓

The start was a bit long at the beginning , the drama a little too forced after a bit, with the FMC swinging between street smart and trashy stupid.

But after that part, I enjoyed the romance, the MC interaction, the found family…even the kids were particularly likeable, which is a rarity in these kinds of novels.
Really enjoyed the depiction of the MC, though it would have improved things to show more variety and the grittier and edgier side, as well as the pluses.

But I really wish we could have lessened the water works. Waayyyy too much, too often, to the point of cringe and falseness.

A beautiful, sentimental story, with touches of action and a blip of suspense.

I’m not normally not a fan of contemporary, but will give this author another go. This was nicely done.

Such a beautiful story! Absolutely loved it. Not the typical MC book but still enjoyable. Would love more from this group. Maybe Prez or Rooster’s story?

The Mc’s Baby by A.F. Montoya is a good MC read with some really good characters. The story focuses on Butch and Skylar. Butch becomes an instant father overnight and feels out of his element. He meets Skylar and her children when his life is blowing up and she decides to help him as she sees his goodness. But Butch is unsure if he wants to be a father due to his own upbringing and there is a bit of contention between the two characters on his making the ‘right’ decision. Skylar is a sweet woman who is trying to bring up too sweet and sassy children whilst balancing an ex who does nothing to help and a father who wants her to move closer to her. Enter her meeting Butch who she has an instant attraction too but knows that her feelings may be short lived due to them both having complications in their loves.

This was definitely a sweet read where we are introduced to two characters whose lives are complicated, throw in some children and other people and it makes it even more so. I loved the fact that Butch became a great father to not only his own child, but also Skylar’s and even though he was in a rough MC, they had a sense of family and togetherness which just brought the story together. Butch was also deep, and I could see where he was coming from when it came to the decision he was trying to make.

Skylar was also a good character who at times could be quite emotional about what was going on. Her meddling in Butch’s life nearly cost her the relationship with him, but if certainly came from a good place, especially when you see her point of view with her idiot ex!

This was a really nice and well written story about family and what people will to to protect the ones they love. I enjoyed the relationships between the MC and Skylar’s children as well as the action that came in the latter part of the story. Of course, there are some really good sexy times and some angst thrown in to keep you turning the pages. I’m definitely intrigued to see which character will get a story next!

outstanding

This is by a a new-to-me author. I am so glad I gave this book a try. It is fantastic. The story starts off as a biker is handled a 4 month old baby and get told he is the father before the mom does a disappearing act. Adoption papers are signed by her. He is totally surprised since it happened from several no strings sexy times.

Someone steps up to help him that day and a relationship-friendship develops as she helps him navigate taking care of a baby. This is a cute sometimes funny relationship since she has two children of her own. One is a full of energy 7 yr old boy and the other is a five yr old genius little girl. Throw in her ex husband who is lowlife scum and you have an interesting and entertaining story. Highly recommend. No cheating, no cliffhanger, HEA. Enjoy this one. I am checking out whether there is a book two since I love all the MC characters.

Butcher got the surprise of a life time when he was at the coffee shop, standing in line, hungover, when an old hook up showed up and handed him a baby and walked away. It was funny to see his reaction. Shocked to say the least and wondered what the hell he was going to do now. Luckily there was a woman there that helped him out.

Butcher was so good with the baby and I hated how he said he was going to find a family to adopt her. Luckily in the few days he had her, he fell in love and couldn't do it. I was so relieved as was his whole MC and family.

While all of this was happening, Butcher felt a spark with the woman who helped him, Skylar. Skylar didn't judge, helped where she could and gave advice, as she had 2 kids of her own. The two of them were so cute together, you wanted things to work out with them, but sadly Skylar didn't live in town, she was just visiting.

There was so much drama in the last half of the book. First with Skylar and her situation. I think she made the right choice there, even had Butcher not been around. The other drama was with the baby mama and boy did that get ugly and scary fast! I think the guys dealt with things in the best way possible, it just sucked that it wasn't good enough. Things turned out good in the end, but it was iffy for a bit.

The ending was great! Loved to see everyone so happy at the end and the family growing!

Butcher and Mama Bear

There’s just something about this book I really liked. And it all came together really well.
Butch aka Butcher aka Big Papa aka Landon is a regular guy with a repair shop and a somewhat complex family situation. One of those family situations blows up publicly when his -here to unknown - baby mama tracks him down and leaves his infant daughter and signed adoption papers work from the mother. Skyler aka Mama Bear happened to be there in the store with her two kids when it went down. It was a good scene, caught my interest and I was hooked from there.
Butch really suffered some anguish deciding what to do when it came to an adoption. The author did a great job conveying and creating emotions with that storyline (yes there are several storylines, I won’t cover them all.)
One criticism I have is the author introduced Butcher’s mother and then just dropped the character at a point in the book for no reason and with no explanation. It didn’t make sense. Other than that all the storylines ran well/read well.
Well… maybe it didn’t make sense how someone managed to get in the clubhouse when everyone was looking for that person - but that’s about it.
I’m hoping the series continues and also explains what Rooster is holding back from his brother Butch.

Unexpected Family!

Butch went from a very single biker to an unexpected father in a day. Going to get coffee the last thing he expected was to first meet a beautiful woman with children, then having a ex acquaintance showing up and shoving a baby in his arms saying she was his daughter and she couldn't take it anymore and if he wanted to give her up he could she had already signed the papers. Stunned and at a lost Skylar stepped up and offered to help him, the was the beginning of their journey. He decided to give up his daughter, feeling he wasn't good enough. But, when the time came he couldn't she was his and he was keeping her. Having argued with Skylar and everyone else about this he started to make a life for them with the help of his brothers from his MC,but something was missing. When he received a phone call from Skylar's daughter Gracie that was an unexpected pleasure and the opening he needed to get Skylar back in his life. But the real surprise was when they showed up at the club unexpected ,then he was sure they were right where they were supposed to be with them him and Ellie. There was some unforeseeable events, but with the help of his brothers they came out of it okay and their family was set and happy.GREAT STORY!!😥😍😍😍

What a beautiful love story. From the time he’s unstable hookup dropped off his 4 month old daughter Butch didn’t know how he would handle such a big change in his life. A little help from a stranger in a coffee shop and his life as a Daddy to his princess started. All the brothers in his MC fell in love with her and the competition to spoil her began, even the most hardened of them couldn’t resist the little girl. He’s connection with the helpful stranger (Skylar) affected him and he wasn’t sure how to deal with these new feelings for his daughter, Skylar and her two children. The love story of Butch and Skylar was truly beautiful ❤️❤️❤️ I loved it. I absolutely 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely perfect!

If you overlook the small bump in the road about Evan, everything about the story unfolded perfectly. I always say, if at the end of the story, I feel sad like I'm saying goodbye to friends, then it's a perfect book.

Evan was a necessary evil for the story development with the kids and in the end the tension and heart wringing made even the kids main character and not just cartoonish fillers.

Butch and Skylar never wavered and although there was drama that needed to be played out, it was the rest of the DD MC crew who made this book, PERFECT!

Butcher, Landon, Big Papa, Daddy

This book was so good! The storyline was sweet and romantic, the MC guys were the best characters! I hope we hear from more of them soon. Butch and Skyler built a great relationship out of a cute meet in a coffee shop, a surprise baby, and the family and friends that added layers to their story. If I had a suggestion it would be a more eye catching cover for this book.

Good read

A new author and a good read. I liked it a lot and am looking forward to reading more. This is the story of Butch who is blindsided by events right from the beginning but along comes Skylar, kind, generous and helpful.
Characterisation is good and they develop throughout the story adding depth. One of the more interesting supporting characters is Rooster and another Prez. Great storyline too.

Family is everything

When life throws the unexpected at you it can cause all kinds of emotions that you weren’t expecting. This MC steps up when one of their own needs support. In the meantime the new daddy finds he is falling for the woman and her kids that show support and friendship to him. But life isn’t always that simple and someone with undiagnosed mental issues comes back and steals what Butch loves most the whole family is right there with him.

This is a new to me author, but I’ll be diving into her back list Pdq , I loved Butch, how he was so willing to do the hard stuff, how he knocked down and learned to be better and how he really is the best thing to happen to that baby and Skylars gang. I liked Skylar to she was kind enough to jump over her own fear and help a stranger, and how determined she was for her family. They are perfect together. This is definitely a book all about hearts journeys.

Unexpected and fun

At first, i thought just another biker daddy book. But Montoya took a familiar plot and made it her own. The entire MC (who are not one percenters) were the most likeable bad guys Ive read in a long time. Because the author chose to keep them almost legal, it allowed for spectacular character development. There wasnt one main character I didnt like. I even liked Momma Bear. Great lazy day read. Dont miss this one

Great pacing, easy to read

Loved this one, I'm really wishing the writer continues building this MC world. 10/10 would recommend! The FMC was strong, clear-minded & determined to do what was right for her and her family - not a single neuroses in sight, which was incredibly refreshing. Don't get me wrong, I like a good damsel/hero trope as much as the next gal, but Skylar was her own hero!

I usually don't hold on to my KU books, but this one IS a keeper. And the

Couldn’t Put It Down

Somehow I stumbled upon this book. This author is new to me. What a ride! There were times I had tears in my eyes with the emotions this big, bad biker was going through. I’m glad this author didn’t shy away from having Butch feel and display his feelings. It made the story more authentic. Skylar was the perfect complement to Butch and the children stole the books and your hearts.

Found family

The MC's Baby was a wonderful book. Big hulking bikers taking care of sweet little kids. Skylar is a single mother who steps up to help Butch when a baby he didn't know he had is dropped in his arms. Butch and his brothers are adorable and hulking.

There's more action and suspense than I expected. But the drama was on point and the love and family made me so happy.

Single biker turned Single Dad

This was just adorable 😍 take the biggest roughest biker and turn him into a daddy is an instant. He tried to do what was best for his new baby and his internal struggle was rough to see it. I loved seeing all the entire crew/ family that rallied to be there for Butch, the new baby Ellie, Skylar and her two kids. I'm looking forward to reading the next books in this series because this crew is filled with so much love for the kids.

a really good read

Great story. I loved the baby with the burly bikers. The kids were adorable and their story was told too. I hate it when the main people have kids then they are barely even mentioned. The sexy scenes are well done and hot. Really enjoyed this book. Look forward to more.

Good

I almost didn't read this. The cover seemed cheesy, but I am a mood reader so I said wth and started this book. I finished it in one day. I liked it so much. The characters were fun and the men were all teddy bears. The kids were scene stealers and I loved it all. I hope Rooster, Prez, and more get thier own books!

Cute read

This was a very cute like read. If you’re looking for a quick read this is a good read for that. Butch and Skyler are a cute couple. This is not a one percent MC as a matter of fact, this is more like a motorcycle riding club than an MC. Overall, it is a feel good romance.

Cutest story ever

I loved this story! It was hilarious how the mmc had no idea what he was doing with a baby, but also endearing. I loved reading how his love grew over time for his child and how gentle he could be. The story is more of a blended family as the mfc also has kids of her own, and let's face it, the kids make the story.

Amazing book!

This is the first book I read from this author and I got to say it was great. I love the story and it was all heart. I cried so much that I had to calm myself many times. Not little tears no full on hysterical. I never thought this book would be so heart reaching. Highly recommended.

Biker babysitters

For a biker story I thought it was rather tame as the complete focus was on the baby. Yes I realise it's in the title, but I thought there would have been some biker outside action along with it. Instead it read like a clubhouse nursery with biker babysitters.

It was an ok read, but severely lacking in biker action.
